Seven Sentence Sunday

Finally have a little something in progress, so!

Buck can’t help the full-body shudder that rocks him or the curse that flies from his mouth. Tommy just hums, stroking him once, then releasing him just long enough to lick his hand before returning to the task. Buck can feel the curve of Tommy’s smile against his skin. “He couldn’t keep his eyes off of us out there,” he says, almost casually. “Not that I can blame him—I should have asked him to join instead of just staring.” “He wouldn’t—wouldn’t have.” The words scrape Buck’s throat like sandpaper, but the fever that burns through him at the suggestion doesn’t dim from his weak denial. “I can be pretty persuasive,” Tommy replies. “And you put on such a gorgeous show. How could anyone resist an invitation to grind on that ass?”

These were some ideas that I had for dashboard and blog features that I wanted to share after the boop-a-palooza we had yesterday (April 1st). Please share with others for a bigger sample size, thank you! -- Aquarium on your blog and/or dash 🐠 Users pick out some fish from a variety of options along with tank gravel color, decorations, etc. People who visit your blog can feed your fish. Additional items can be found just by scrolling and being clicked on in the sidebars of the dash or by visiting other blogs Fish tank bubble ambiance noises. (They don't even have to be animated fish. jpg fish would work just fine. Bring back that old school look and feel)

-- Pets on your blog and/or dash. 🐈🐕‍🦺 Similar to the Aquarium, users could either find animals on their dash and/or 'adopt' them which puts them in a little animal house on your blog that you can decorate with items also found while scrolling. Allow users to pick up and place one of the animals onto the dash, which allows it to wander around and/or possibly follow the mouse. You can pet the animal by clicking on it. You can play with the animal ie pick up ball with mouse or touchscreen (mobile) and drag it and leg to to 'throw' it. Allow users to put up animals for 'adoption' so that other users can adopt/trade/swap them with one another. There's dozens of types of cats and dogs out there, so think of it like collecting pokemon. :) Plus you could get wacky with it and do like.. fantasy stuff. Wizard Cat, Pirate Doxie, a dragon... etc.

-- Window to the outside on the dashboard 🌧 Let users put a window (literal window) on the web dashboard in the lower left/right corner that can be changed to play different types of weather. For example, if you choose to go with 'rain/thunderstorm', it would show rain pelting against the glass with clouds and thunder while also playing sounds like something from rainymood. If someone chose nighttime, there would be a moon filled sky (possibly reflects location?) with stars and the sound of insects and/or peepers (frogs). Daytime would have birds chirping, you get the idea.

Relationship status: Celebrated 8 years with my wonderful partner this past July. Spent a week together in the mountains over Halloween. Trying to figure out a way to live together more permanently.

Current obsessions: I'm sort of in between obsessions at the moment. However, the big ones this year were the Mario franchise (especially Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and Luigi's Mansion 3) and Cult of the Lamb.

Three random facts! They might be a bit boring because my brain is tired right now.

I don't like coffee. One of my favourite drinks is hot chocolate. I really need to make @foxybouquet's Cardinal's Hot Chocolate in the near future. I am a little sad because I live near Tim Hortons, McDonald's and Starbucks, and all of their hot chocolates are a bit "meh" most days, and I'm left without hot beverage options except at Sbux :(

I have been writing since I was young, but only started posting fanfic after getting into Ghost. In fact, I hadn't really been able to write anything in... many many years, until I was introduced to Ghost. So, yeah. Now my brain is like "Here, have a bunch of ideas! You can't write fast enough!" I call those I bounce ideas off and have beta test my Ghuses <3

I recently told a friend I didn't want a table to read tarot at her work's Galentine's Day event because I didn't want to discover someone's death again, and in public no less. The cards tell you what you need to hear, and it's not always positive lol. My decks are gonna read you a shitty relationship if you're in one, and I don't think the business would let me put a sign up saying patrons need to have had 3 drinks before a reading :-p

¡¡ potential spoiler warning !! this is from my latest wip revolving round the finale of star wars the bad batch because it had me so very devastated & thus i had to begin writing something for it. nothing too heavy here because i don't want to give too much away since this will be posted soon but here's the most recent but i wrote :

' When he next came to, there was a cacophony of noise around him. The exchange of blaster fire resounded throughout the corridors, the signature discharge sounds from the weapons as well as the pinging searing when they struck a bulkhead or one of the crates they were using as cover. The thud of plastoid covered bodies hitting the deck plating from the other side came at various intervals. As did the blossoming alarm of dispatched and armed droid poppers.

He was lent against the unyielding carbon-scored surface of someone's armour, sitting between their knelt legs whilst his upper body laid against the armour of their torso. They were crouched in a kneeling position to shield Crosshair with a bent knee and an arm wrapped around his side as their other hand held a decee that they periodically used to fire over the stacked line of crates they were using as cover. '

WIP Wednesday

“I think I might be bad in bed.”

Eddie does not drop the pan that he’s scrubbing and instead sets it down gently in the sink, taking the time to dry his hands before turning to face Buck where he’s sitting at the table. He also carefully schools his expression as he takes in Buck’s—distressed and confused, like something fundamental to his worldview has shifted. With someone else, in a different circumstance, it might be funny—it still is a little, but with an undercurrent that suggests a certain amount of delicacy may be required.

“You’re still thinking about that call?” Eddie asks, leaning against the counter.

Buck shrugs.

“I just—” he blows out a breath and rakes a hand through his hair. “That guy and his wife…seemed like they’d been married for awhile but he was still worried that he wasn’t any good, and then in trying so hard to do better he just made it so much worse, you know? And I guess I—I don’t know. I’ve had a lot of sex where I’ve never really thought about it, where I just assumed I was doing everything right, and then I’ve had other times where I’ve pulled out all the stops trying to be perfect, but now I’m looking back and wondering if I was actually…pretty bad at a lot of it. And maybe wondering at least a little if it was even good for me let alone whoever I was with.”

Eddie rolls that thought around in his head, trying to decide the best way to respond, weighing the options of what Buck needs to hear versus how to say it.  It’s not a conversation he wants to be having, is part of the problem. Thinking about Buck desperately seeking connection through fleeting sexual encounters with strangers already makes him swallow back a wave of petty jealousy and possessiveness. But there’s an added level of insult to injury to the idea that Buck wasn’t even having good sex. Which maybe explains why despite his initial commitment to delicacy and tact, what comes out of Eddie’s mouth is—

“You probably were. Bad at it.”

Buck’s eyes widen, a strangled noise sounding from his throat.

“Well shit, don’t pull any punches,” he shoots back as he hunches in the chair and drains the last dregs of his beer.

“I didn’t mean it like that,” Eddie says, pushing off the counter to pull out another chair from the table. “Look, it’s—”

He sighs.
