Wha… How am I back here..?
Last I remember, I was back at the base.. I took this rat that was attacking Dakota while Tide, Mark and Ashe were on the couch, for some reason, and I set it up with a ghost rat cage and ghost rat supplies in my room while helping Dakota bandage his wounds from the fight..
and now I’m here.
And a bit ago, this splitting noise started ringing from somewhere, but I can’t find the source. It seems to be coming from somewhere above? But it’s so loud that it seems to be coming from everywhere.
I just keep wandering these creepy fucking trees and the barely carved out footpaths hoping to find anything to help me leave, but there’s nothing. My hands are freezing… I’m really glad Tide got me those hand warmers.
I’ve been burning through them to try and keep myself warm. But I guess I’ve lost more feeling in my hands than I thought, because the skin has started to blister in some places from the heat.
I don’t want to think about that right now. I just want to go home.
(William does not wake up to Tide’s alarm. William does not wake up. William passed out in the bathroom mid sentence once he finished bandaging Dakota, and has been dead asleep since.
If one were to check, he wouldn’t have a pulse at the moment.)

LA Knight x Fem! Wrestler Reader
plot: reader gets hurt during her Wargames match and her ex boyfriend, Shaun (irl name) immediately gets concerned for her and goes to check on her trope: exes to lovers with LA Knight/ Eli Drake/ Max Dupri whatever u wanna call him pairings: wrestler reader x LA Knight / reader x (platonic) Carmelo Hayes a.n: Y/N replaces Cora Jade in the match (2021 wargames)
Tumblr media
Y/N was standing on the top of the cage ready to perform the Swanton Bomb onto Jacy Jayne who laid on the table and let out a shaky breath. Y/N did insane and risky moves all the time but it still made her nervous because you never knew what could happen. "Wargames baby!" Y/N grinned, diving off the cage onto Jacy with a Swanton Bomb as Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai held Jacy in place, breaking through the table. Y/N clenched her jaw and held in her scream as she felt her shoulder pop completely out of place. Y/N immediately cradled it and rolled off of Jacy as the crowd chanted 'HOLY SHIT!' for the move she just did.
Kay Lee had immediately kneeled down to Y/N, seeing her clutching her shoulder and it didn't look like selling. "What's wrong? You okay?" Kay Lee asked, helping Y/N lean into the corner as Io made her way over in concern. "It's dislocated. I gotta pop it back in place, then I can keep going," Y/N explained silently so the cameras and mics didn't pick up on it. "Alright, get on that, we'll improvise without you," Kay Lee said, walking to the other ring to continue to wrestle with Dakota Kai as they had to keep the match going.
Y/N had looked around hoping to find someway to pop it back in as it was now literally hanging off. "What the hell are you guys doing standing there?! Get out there! Get her out!" Shaun shouted at the medical team which made Shawn Michaels immediately go over to calm him down. Triple H got the medical team out there immediately as Shawn tried to calm down Knight. "Relax, she's gonna be fine," Shawn said. This didn't calm Knight down though as he paced back in forth, watching the monitors.
Y/N walked down to the door where medical attention was, gesturing her over so they could check on her. "I'm fine, it's alright. I can keep going," Y/N said, they didn't agree with this but they had no choice but to listen to her. She did have a lot of power backstage and if she refused help during a match then so be it. Y/N was known for always finishing a match no matter what happened. Y/N stood up and clenched her jaw, ramming her shoulder into the ring post as the crowd winced.
"Oh my god what the hell is wrong with her," Knight muttered. He hated how he still loved her despite how crazy stupid she was being. HBK managed to get him to calm down and head backstage so he could get dressed in his gear for later that night as he also had a Wargames match.
Y/N rammed her shoulder into it one more time, the crowd winced and Y/N let out a sigh of relief, the second time popping her shoulder back in place. Y/N leaned against the cage and nodded at Io and Kay Lee telling them that she could keep going. They still looked at her like she was crazy but she only smirked and gave them a wink. Y/N went on the finish and win the match for her team, pinning Jacy Jayne for the win. She had told them they needed to go after her shoulder to make it more realistic and so they did, it hurt like a bitch but it made the match more memorable and that's all Y/N cared about. Was that the fans had fun.
Immediately when they got backstage, the medical team rushed over to her but she brushed them off wanting to talk with Triple H and Shawn Michaels. "I'm alright, I can go a few minutes without medics," Y/N said, making them back off but follow her just incase she didn't faint or anything. Unfortunately for Y/N she was getting very drowsy. "Ay Y/N you good?" Carmelo asked, making his way over to her. Y/N and Carmelo were very close as Y/N helped train him in the PC. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine-" Y/N breathed just before going unconscious but Carmelo caught her and they had him carry her to the trainers room.
Carmelo pulled out his phone and shot a quick text to Knight.
Carmelo Hayes
Ay yo girl in the trainers room rn, she fainted. I think it's bc she took way too much hits on the shoulder, it's damaged real bad. Might wanna get her asap.
LA Knight
yeah on my way
Carmelo sat down in the corner as medics examined her bruised up shoulder. Knight rushed in and immediately walked over to Y/N's body laid down on the table. "Yo, you should probably wake her up." Carmelo said. Knight nodded and gently patted Y/N's face, causing her to slowly open her eyes with a groan as she felt the pain in her shoulder. "Oh god, you should've let me stay unconscious," Y/N muttered, looking at Knight with squinted eyes, not expecting to wake up and immediately see her ex boyfriend looking at her. "Ouch, Y/N. That hurt," Knight said sarcastically and Y/N glared at him.
"This is why I dumped you. You're such an a-" Y/N was cut off when Carmelo quickly cut her off before she could say anything she would regret. "All right, well before this turns into a rage room we should probably check to see if you're actually able to move your arm." Carmelo said, looking down at her brusied up shoulder that honestly looked so bad it's like it was broken or something. "Considering all the damage you took, even after popping it back in, it looks like you're gonna be out of action for quite sometime. In fact, I'm gonna say maybe two months to play it safe," the doctor said.
"No way, I can't take off two months. I have a championship match, that I'm supposed to win. I'm supposed to be champion. I can't let that go," Y/N said, shaking her head in disbelief. "I'm sorry but you have no choice. If you continue to wrestle then you can permanently damage your shoulder which is far worse," they said. Y/N licked her lips and sighed, "Can I be alone please?" She requested, they nodded and left the room immediately. Shaun and Melo immediately went to leave as well but Y/N reached out and grabbed Shaun's hand, "Melo, can you let Dakota and Kay Lee know I'm alright please?"
Melo gave her nod and walked out, shutting the door so the two could have some privacy. "Why are you here? Why do you care about me so much after how I treated you?" Y/N asked, letting his hand go to hold the ice up to her brusied shoulder, clenching her jaw slightly at the pain. "I would say the breakup was fifty-fifty," Shaun mumbled, leaning on the counter and Y/N rolled her eyes with a small chuckle. "I just can't seem to let you go, ya know? I seen you get hurt and I was just so worried about you. Like a million things ran through my mind about what could've went wrong. I don't know, I just know that I hate seeing you get hurt," he explained.
"I get it. I'm not exactly over you either. I never was, I just overreacted when you said you loved you. It was just, I was going through a lot with my sister so I didn't really believe you loved me which is why I pushed you away. Truth is, I do love you. Probably more than anyone I've ever been with in the past. I was just scared of admitting it." Y/N looked down, biting her lip and not making eye contact with him but he was already looking at her the entire time. "Y/N, look at me," He said, causing her to slowly look up at him, scared that he might be harsh after the way their breakup happened.
"I love you, Y/N." She smiled to herself and looked down but he used her hand to raise her chin and press their lips together softly. Pulling away for breath, Y/N smiled and sighed, "Do you wanna move in with me?" Y/N asked, knowing it was a risky question but she would understand he didn't say yes. Shaun grinned and Y/N's eyes widened, "Don't you dare do it!"
"Yeahhhh!!!!"

prologue
pairing: Joel Miller x nb!character
word count: 2.7k
genre: period western/horror
summary: Dakota Territory, 1879. Joel Miller, a widower, lives on the outskirts of Deadwood with his brother and daughter. After travelling north from Texas two years earlier, they've put down roots in the community. Tommy came for the gold rush, and Joel came to keep an eye on Tommy. The end of the world arrives piece by piece, and then all at once.
warnings: glaring historical inaccuracies, canon typical violence, allusions to a suicide attempt, essentially just the opening of the show/game but set in 1879 with some bits adjusted, the horrors of being a person in the 1800s, nb love interest is essentially a reader self-insert but is named (tho won't appear till the next chapter), it will be a slowwwww burn.
a/n: Ok, a funny thing that didn't come up in my research till I was ninety percent thru the outline and halfway thru the chapter but had independently decided on 1879 as the setting -- Deadwood actually burned down on September 26, 1879. Figured it was serendipitous. Happy Birthday, Joel! 🫠
The day the world ended, the sun rose bright across the valley. Autumn was just starting to emerge and dust motes appeared suspended in the bright sunbeams, forested wilderness surrounding the town of Deadwood. The leaves weren't changed, not fully, but here and there you could find a red tree amongst the green ones, and you knew they'd follow soon.
Joel was exhausted. His head ached. His bones ached. He could already feel the stiffness in his muscles from yesterday's work, and today would be no better.
The first few cries of the rooster hadn't done so much as stir him, but now as morning truly broke, he could smell mouth-watering aromas wafting up from below, heard the bustling in his kitchen and his belly rumbled, waking him up right quick.
He scrunched his face up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, and went over to the basin to splash cool water on his face. He stared at his reflection in his glass. Another year older. Another strand of silver in his hair. Thirty six. He'd made it to thirty six.
He pulled a shirt from his drawer and frowned. It was soft, cotton, and one of his favorites, but he was sure this one was torn at the shoulder, left to waste away in the oft forgotten mending basket. He shook it out and peered at it–sure enough, it had been torn, but now it was mended with fine, careful stitches.
Sarah. It must've been.
That girl was busy herself, but it warmed him, that she'd taken the time to mend her old pa's shirts without him ever having to ask.
He dresses quickly, tucking in his mended shirt, buttoning his trousers, adjusting his suspenders. He wasn't a vain man, but he takes pride in his work, and his mama always told him "It ain't about vanity, Joel. You take yourself and your appearance serious, others will too."
He grew up with little, but his mama was an accomplished seamstress. Her mending was impeccable, and any time she found a discarded bit of fabric, she'd bring it back to life and make it twice as pretty as she found it. Joel reckoned she was the best dressed woman in all of Texas. She collected issues of Good Housekeeping and Harper's, taking account of all the latest fashions. She built corsets and cages and all the ladies would flock to her to do them up just as pretty.
Joel combed back his hair. Stared in the mirror for just a moment longer, lost in his memories. Nodded, and stepped downstairs.
"Pa!" Sarah grinned at him as he entered the kitchen, "Lookin' mighty fine this morning."
She pulled him in and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
"Thank you, baby girl," he grinned back, "You makin' us breakfast?"
"Yep!" She nods, and hands him a plate. Drop biscuits, a little burnt, swimming in gravy, a cup of wild berries on the side, and a hot cup of coffee.
He took a deep breath, inhaling the spiraling tendrils of coffee vapour and let out a delighted hum. "You spoil me, kiddo."
"'Course," she nodded, and took a big bite of her own biscuit.
"Uncle Tommy home?" Joel asked, and Sarah shook her head, a couple of biscuit crumbs scattering around her, "Nah, he went out early today. Said he wanted to get done with his work early so he can celebrate your birthday."
Joel raised an eyebrow. "Celebrate my birthday?" he scoffs, "Stop by the saloon or lose all his money at cards and still make it on time to dinner is more like it."
He took one last gulp of his coffee and placed the mug down.
"We'll have a nice night," Sarah assured him, "An' I told Uncle Tommy he best be here in time for supper or else. And I'm makin' you a cake."
"Okay, baby. You'd best be off to school, now. I'll get these dishes taken care of."
"You sure?" She asked.
"Positive."
Sarah nodded, pulled off her apron, tossed a few of her favorite books in her satchel and tore out the door.
Joel went off for his work. Only two years they'd been in the Black Hills, Joel, Sarah and Tommy, but they'd made a nice little home. They came up after Sarah's mama passed, and Tommy heard about the gold rush. He insisted it was all because of the rush he wanted to come, but Sarah always suspected he came because he knew Joel would follow, and her pa needed a change of scenery. He'd almost faded into a ghost himself, sitting round their empty old house, nearly lost in memories. Grief had a way of consuming him.
So they'd traveled North, left Texas behind for good, and made a new life for themselves.
The schoolhouse had been around since before the Millers arrived in Deadwood, but there hadn't been a teacher till Spring of this year. Joel was glad Sarah finally had a chance for a proper education. Smart as a whip, that one, and hungry for knowledge. He couldn't wait to see what she was gonna do.
There weren't a lot of kids, or even that many women in the community outside of the brothels, but the Millers had established themselves. Tommy was something of a wild card, getting into bar fights more often than Joel would prefer, but he'd never gotten on the wrong side of a quick draw, and he had enough charm he managed to get out of most of the trouble he found himself in. And Joel–Joel was reliable. Whether he was fixing someone's step, or making sure to haul that extra meat back after a hunt to ensure one of Sarah's friends would have enough to eat, he could be depended on.
The day the world ended, Joel saddled up Delphine, his dapple grey, and mounted her, tools packed neatly in her panniers. Today, he'd be working on repairs at the general store. They rode from their home at the outskirts towards town.
As he approached, he slowed to a walk. Something felt off, like there was a tension about to snap. But no one was bleeding, and some days on the frontier that felt like a high enough bar to clear.
Along Main Street, he could hear strained voices.
"The telegraphs stopped coming-" He heard one man say.
"Problem with the wire?" Another asked.
The first man shook his head. "Naw, had some of my guys inspect it. Everything should be workin'. It just- it ain't."
"How long's it been going on?"
"Been five days now. Never seen it like this before."
"Ain't seen any coaches for weeks now, too. It's like the route just stopped altogether. Don't know how to get word to my folks back east about the new baby if we've got no mail and no telegraphs."
The day the world ended, Joel made it home by sunset, just in time to find Sarah plating up their dinner.
"Good day?" She asked, and he nodded.
"Yeah, got lots done. Next time you go by the general store, you'll see a door that swings smoothly on its hinges and brand new windowpanes."
"That's great, Pa!" she smiled. It warmed her to see his pride in his work.
"Uncle Tommy home yet?" Joel asked.
"No," Sarah frowned, "Thought he'd be back a couple hours ago, too. Guess you're right."
"Reckon he's lost track of time. Though- Huh, I didn't see him at the saloon when I rode by."
"There's always the cathouse?" Sarah suggested, and Joel snorted and shook his head. It wasn't an impossibility.
"Well-," Sarah paused, "There'll be cake waiting for him, but at least have your supper before it gets cold."
"Thank you baby," Joel smiled, took his plate from her, and dug in.
The night felt heavy, something in the atmosphere pressing like a weight through the world. All the food was eaten (besides a small plate left for Tommy) and the cake was cut, when the gunshots started outside.
Sarah started and Joel bolted upright, swinging around to grab the rifle by the door without a second thought.
"What's happening?" she asked.
Joel shook his head, crouching down by the window, pushing the curtains aside and peering through.
"I don't know, baby. Just stay calm, stay low. We're gonna be okay."
There was no one directly outside, but the gunshots continued, and the more Joel stared, the more he could see smoke rising from town.
"Looks like a fire," he told her, "Don't know what the shootin's about, though. And–" His eyes narrowed, heartbeat pounded. "We gotta block the door, baby, there's someone coming."
"Is it Uncle Tommy?" She asked, eyes wide and voice small.
"No, I don't think–" Joel had grabbed the heavy mahogany table by the legs and started tugging, but did a double take out the window. "Wait, you're right!"
It was Tommy, galloping towards their home on a mount Joel didn't recognize. Before Tommy was even a hundred feet away, Joel could hear him call out his name.
"Joel!" Tommy bellowed, "We gotta get outta here!"
Joel swung the door open and Tommy stumbled in.
"Somethin's happening," he wheezed, breaths coming quickly, panic etched across his face, running to the cabinet and filling his pack with ammo. A knife. Another revolver. "We gotta pack up anythin' we can't afford to lose. The town's on fire. There are these people, fuck, Joel, it's like they're the Devil's got 'em."
"Like the Devil's got 'em?" Joel asked, pulling two bags from pegs by the door. "The fuck you mean? You been on the shine again?" He turned to Sarah. "Start packin', baby. Clothes, medicine. Cash, too, you know the drawer?"
She nodded and ran upstairs, and Joel turned back to Tommy, fumbling through papers and photos, knowing he had no time for sentiment but couldn't bear to leave without trying to think of everything.
"They're fuckin' possessed," Tommy explained, "Won't listen to reason. It's a fuckin' mess in town. A few coaches came through today and there were men on it raving, saying some kinda devilry was coming through. They seemed crazy, so we just laughed. Didn't think much of it."
He shook his head and ran a palm down his face. That's when Joel noticed the blood on his sleeve.
"Jesus," Joel said, "You hurt?"
Tommy shook his head, confused, and then looked where Joel was looking and exhaled. "Naw," he exhaled, "That blood ain't mine."
"So what happened?"
"Well," Tommy continued, "An hour or so later we heard screaming. Turns out a couple folks who'd come in by train from down South a day or so ago, who weren't feelin' all that well, they'd been to the doctor and went crazy. Started twitchin'. Bitin'. Proper bitin' people. They got these things in their mouths, these weird fuckin' tendrils-"
Joel stared at him, a muscle in his jaw tensing.
"I know it sounds crazy, Joel, but something bad is fuckin' happening. Don't know what it is. All I know is people are tearing each other up. And we gotta get outta here."
Joel was silent a minute and then nodded, solemn.
"Okay." He took a deep breath. "We're gonna get outta here."
"We are," Tommy agreed, "But we both know the only way out is through town, and it's a shit show right now."
"Fuck," Joel hissed and looked out the window again, "Looks like the whole town is on fire."
"It is," Tommy nodded, "But we can avoid Main Street. Go to the outside, and around to the thoroughfare."
"Fine." Then Joel called upstairs, "We gotta go, baby!"
Sarah re-emerged, two bags packed full. "I got clothes for both of us. Money. Few other things."
"Thank you, baby."
They saddled up their horses, Tommy on his stolen mare, Joel and Sarah on Delphine.
Joel hated this, hated that they had to pass through town to pass by Deadwood and across into the Black Hills, but they were at the edge of the gulch. No way to go but through.
Before they rode, Joel cupped the back of Sarah's head with one hand, closed his eyes and pressed a kiss to her forehead. He nearly didn't, worried her pa would be embarrassing her. But he did. For the rest of his life, he was always glad that he did.
As they rode through flames, they saw the foundations of the place they called home begin to crumble. It was chaos. It was worse than Joel ever could have imagined. The town was engulfed in madness, men eating one another toppled over onto the dusty ground. Smoke choked them and made their eyes water as they rode through with cloths pressed to their mouths, trying to avoid the worst of it. There were a few folks who had built barricades and stood beyond them, guns aimed, trying to take down the most violent of the possessed. It was horrifying, their friends, colleagues, and neighbors engaged in a fight to the death. It was wrong wrong wrong and by God it was the end of the world.
They saw the younger Adlers torn to pieces, and the elder running on all fours as she tried to rip apart someone else.
"Hold onto me, baby," Joel said, pulling her in in an attempt to shield her from the bodies. She'd already gotten a glimpse and couldn't help but stare, and she stared for a moment before she felt nauseous. Then, she screwed up her eyes and held on tight.
They saw Jimmy's place in flames. The baker's. The saloon. There were women running from the brothel, still rouged and bright as they aimed their guns at the monsters around them.
Through side paths and shortcuts, down alleyways and in the gaps between houses, they rode desperately through Deadwood. The buildings Joel had helped erect and the repairs he'd completed in the past few years had given him an intricate knowledge of the settlement. They rode fast and sure, evading the devils that clutched at the air, reaching for their ankles as they rode by.
Makeshift barricades had been put up all along the outskirts of town. Each way they turned, there was no way through. They rode back and forth, crisscrossing the streets as they tried their best to pull away from the writhing bodies in the dirt.
It wasn't till they passed the very last buildings down Main Street, right by the edge of town, that they slowed.
The sheriff lay dead, a bullet right between his eyes, bleeding out on the dusty street corner. A circuit rider loomed ahead of him on his mount, hands resting on his shotgun that, slung over his shoulder. Blood drenched his forearms, spattered against his coat, so soaked it shone visible even against the heavy wool. There was a fear in his eyes, a terror that unsettled them.
When he saw the Millers, he straightened and raised the weapon.
"Preacher, let us through," Tommy said, and the homilist darted his eyes between the men.
"Can't let anyone past," the man said, "This here's the reckoning. No one's gonna escape the inevitable."
Tommy raised his revolver. "I ain't askin' again. Let us through."
The preacher steadied his shaking hands and aimed his shotgun "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up-"
It's hard to say who fired first.
In a split second, two gunshots rang out, fragmented echos of one another. The preacher fell. So did Joel and Sarah.
The bullet grazed through Joel's side, and he clutched at his abdomen, holding the wound.
"Joel-!" Tommy cried as he flung himself from his mount, the preacher dead and already forgotten.
Joel rolled over and crawled towards where Sarah lay. The bullet that had gone through Joel pierced her belly and she shook, blood spurting and pooling from the wound.
He tried to apply pressure, tried to slow the bleeding, but her screams and sobs stilled him.
"I'm sorry, baby," he cried, and she shook, eyes darting around, trying to focus and failing.
"Pa-," she croaked.
"It's okay, baby girl," he lied, "You're gonna be okay."
She exhaled in a final gurgling puff, blood spattering across her perfect face, and Joel howled.
She was gone, he knew it, but still he cradled her.
Tommy stroked her hair and wiped the blood off her cheek. Joel pressed his head to her chest and wept, horrible strangled heaves caught in each exhale.
The day the world ended, Joel's world ended, too.
They carried her body with them for miles, Joel holding her close even as he felt her begin to cool and stiffen. Time escaped them as they rode, and around sunrise, they found a creek with wildflowers blanketing the banks. A small herd of pronghorns leaped along the water.
Tommy dug a hole and Joel told her stories, rocking her back and forth in his arms. All the ones he could remember, that she loved so much when she was little. Told her to rest easy now, baby.
They lowered her into the ground, and Joel wept. Tommy assembled a small cairn at the head of her grave. Joel looked down at his mended shirt and realised it was ruined with blood. The last gift from his daughter, and he'd ruined it.
Joel embraced Tommy. Held his brother close and told him he loved him. Muttered something about needing a moment to himself and wandered off.
The day his world ended, Joel tried to follow her into the darkness. A gunshot rang out, echoing through the hills.
Tommy ran to the sound and found him, crumpled but very much alive. He held his big brother close, cloth pressed hard to his bleeding temple, brushing away his streaming tears as he cried himself, terrified to lose all of his remaining family in a single day.
The day the world ended, the last two Millers were covered in blood and filth and tears. All they had was each other, their horror and their fear.

PROPAGANDA
FLORA REINHOLD (PROFESSOR LAYTON)
1.) I MEAN WHERE DOES ONE START!
Okay so in the first game (curious village) she's locked in a tower, cut off from civalisation because her dad died and he wants her to find a worthy suitor. Not a suitor her age, a suitor who's nice just a suitor who can solve lots of puzzles. Flora is so ill equipped for the real world because of her father. AND her dad definately set up this marrage trap when she was under 10. I mean it's a woman who's left in a tower for a worthy suitor. She's not even trusted to go into town alone! The town is full of clockwork people! No one is even real!
Then in the next game she's left behind because mystery solving is just to much for her dainty self! So she sneaks on after them, claiming she doesnt, "want to be left all alone again". In the same game she's kidnapped, has her identity stolen and no one notices because her only characterisation is she likes pretty things and then when they finally do notice and find out she was abandoned in a barn no one cares! SHE'S IMMEDIATELY LEFT ALL ALONE AGAIN. :(
In the third game Professor Layton lies to her to give her the slip. He has never lied in the entire series but he lies to her because she couldnt take going on this latest adventure. She's the only character to faint during time travel (which doesnt even make sense) and KEEPS GETTING LEFT ALONE. She's even left in a cage with her kidnapper who's apparently only helping them for Flora. I mean she's deeply uncomfortable when she's caged with him, no one gave her a heads up that she would be caged with him.
She's the only female character with the professor in the main trillogy who isnt a housekeep or secutary and her only characterisation ever is she likes pretty things and cant cook.
Thw writers then go on to make Katrielle's game. A game about the Professor's daughter. Not Flora the person he took into his care this entirely new character. My argument on why she's a victim of mysogony there is they wrote her in outdated form and upon reciving critisism decided to sweep her under the rug and replace her with other characters. >:(
2.) Shafted SO hard because the writer's immediately didn't have any more ideas about what to do with her. She was set up as a mysterious character in her first appearance, and actually had plot relevance and a lot of potential moving forward. (Light PL spoilers)
However! In the next game, the main character just immediately leaves her at home to 'keep her safe', despite bringing a boy younger than her with him. She follows them, gets to join their investigation for all of about maybe an hour of gameplay, and then is promptly kidnapped unceremoniously, and literally locked in a barn for the rest og the game. When the other characters realise she is missing, they do literally nothing and don't go to collect her until the next day DURING THE GAME'S CREDITS.
In the next game, and the final one of the trilogy she appears in, the main character and his apprentice (once again, a boy younger than her) literally run away from her whilst she's making them sandwiches. Just so they don't have to bring her along. She's also kidnapped AGAIN, and does absolutely nothing about it (doesn't even attempt to struggle) so that the main character can come in and save her. :|
Additionally, she's never put in any side material set in the right time frame for her to be there, including not even being MENTIONED in the spin-off sequel (although that game is weird about what references it makes anyway), except for the movie, where she's in it to once again be told to stay behind, and she gets a single word long line.
A lot of people come out of these games complaining that Flora has no personality, because the writer's were apparently so determined to keep her off-screen that it was easy for people to question what kind of a character she even is. (She has one, they just don't show it often enough.)
3.) She is constantly left behind and treated like a little girl even though she's older than Luke, while he is respected as Layton's apprentice. They don't even eat her sandwiches :( They also have a running joke of her being really bad at cooking, but that's literally the only thing they let her do! She also gets kidnapped TWICE (that is, every game she's in but the first one) and the first time she gets impersonated by the bad guy and NO ONE NOTICES for most of the game.
Also in the Japanese version she's "of marriageable age" and apparently really wants to marry Layton when she's older… and that's one of her key character traits in that version. She has a really cool backstory but after the first game she's reduced to "girl whining about how they leave her behind all the time". It's like they wanted to fridge her but realized they couldn't do that to a little girl.
AGENT SOUTH DAKOTA (RED VS BLUE)
1.) She literally got shot in the head and then her body was blown up for shooting someone in the back (who didn't even die - and as a way to save herself from dying) for comparison Wash (a dude) literally killed one of the main cast members (Donut - he ended up living later but he was like at deaths door and survived pure will) for no reason other that to prove that he was serious about killing them and he gets seasons long redemption arcs
2.) she's portrayed as an arrogant, aggressive, incompetent, savage bitch with zero character depth or thoughts to her motivation

More people are identifying as transgender and seeking medical care for gender dysphoria than ever before. Between 2018 and 2022, gender-dysphoria diagnoses increased considerably in every state in the U.S. except for South Dakota, according to Definitive Healthcare. Children’s share of dysphoria diagnoses rose from 17.5 percent to 20.4 percent in that same period. A JAMA paper noted a threefold increase in “gender-affirming” surgeries between 2016 and 2019.
The story that the “gender-affirming” camp tells itself about these developments is equal parts illuminating and frustrating. Proponents typically claim that transgender people, as we understand them today, have always existed, and that more people identify as trans because the public has become more aware and accepting of transgender identities. In other words, these activists believe that apparent increases in the trans-identifying population are not really increases at all; they merely reflect that the language, tools, and cultural climate are now in place to gauge more accurately the trans population’s size.
In a recent reported piece for The Hill, for example, Russ Toomey, a transgender professor at the University of Arizona, claimed that the alleged rise of transgender young people “is not an increase . . . we are seeing the numbers of people disclosing nonbinary and trans identity on a survey because we are asking people in more inclusive ways about their gender.” Shoshana Goldberg of the Human Rights Campaign similarly argued, “It is not that there are more people. It is that there are more people who are open and who are out. . . . The reality is that when you talk to the average person on the street, they are going to be more accepting and more affirming than they have ever been.” Of course, this observation cannot be reconciled with the pro-affirming camp’s claim that half of U.S. states are “anti-trans” and create a hostile environment for trans-identifying minors. Moreover, it seems unlikely that these explanations can solely account for the sheer size and scope of the increase in referrals over the last decade. For example, England’s Gender Identity Development Service saw a twentyfold increase in referrals for dysphoria between 2011 and 2021.
The pro-affirming side is willing to grant that social and cultural forces contribute to the documented rise in trans identification, but only in a narrow way. They allow that greater cultural visibility and acceptance leads to more people being comfortable sharing their “real” identities—but they won’t entertain the possibility that greater cultural visibility and acceptance has created cases of gender dysphoria and trans identification.
When confronted with statistical reality, this thinking yields absurd conclusions. A Williams Institute study from 2021, for example, noted the presence of 1.2 million “nonbinary” people in the United States, 75 percent of whom were below age 30. According to the pro-affirming camp, nonbinary people have always existed. But why are young people more likely than older people to adopt this identity? Why are nonbinary identities more common among girls and young women, specifically? And why didn’t this phenomenon seem to exist 30 years ago?
“You can’t identify as something if you don’t know what the word is,” counters Kay Simon, a professor who studies “queer” youth and their families. “From a very young age,” he adds, “I kind of realized I was gay . . . at the time, I probably could have told you that I felt different about my gender, but I didn’t have a word for it.”
Simon is right that discovering new terminology can sometimes help people describe elements of reality that they couldn’t previously describe. But language, and culture more broadly, can also create new social realities.
Certain material facts—our embodiment as sexed beings is one—exist independent of our cultural discourse about them. When you move beyond these natural phenomena and into the social realm, however, nature and culture can become hard to disentangle. Gender dysphoria, as a psychiatric condition, might have biological roots and in that sense be a biological phenomenon, though researchers have yet to confirm this. The idea that a person who has gender dysphoria is a different sex, however, and must be treated with hormones and surgeries is another claim altogether. It assumes that a person’s mind is the only thing that counts toward whether the individual is male or female (or something else). This is a cultural argument, not a discovery of natural fact.
Consider how our understanding of sex-reassignment surgeries has evolved. For most of the twentieth century, an adult who had surgical genital modifications would have been described as “transsexual,” not “transgender.” The popular scientific understanding of this person’s situation would be that he was suffering from a mental-health disorder and was opting to live socially as the opposite sex. Significantly, however, neither the scientific nor cultural understandings of this person’s situation would have included a metaphysical belief that the person really was the opposite sex (or another sex entirely). No shared cultural understanding existed that a male undergoing a procedure to create an artificial vagina was somehow already a female even before the procedure, though the concept of gender identity had been introduced.
In the older paradigm, the language of sex reassignment suggests that sex can be changed through surgery. Filtered through the prism of the gender-affirming paradigm, though, sex reassignment is a misnomer, since the procedure simply confirms the patient’s true “sex” as reflected by his or her gender identity. Of course, a third possibility is that it is impossible to change sex, and that these procedures are simply cosmetic.
As the philosopher Tomas Bogardus pointed out in Quillette, our language used to maintain a sex-gender distinction that acknowledged sexual dimorphism. “Sex” referred to being biologically male or female, while “gender” stood in for qualities that we associate with the sexes —like wearing makeup for girls or playing sports for boys—that are not intrinsic, definitionally, to being male or female. These gender qualities are mostly “socially constructed,” though they may be biologically predisposed. Notably, gender was also used by feminists as a synonym for sex, while gender identity was used by sexologists to refer to a person’s perception of being male or female. “Queer theorists” would later argue that the entire sex-gender distinction was artificial and that both categories were socially constructed. In this way, the terms “man” and “woman” also came to be associated with gender, suggesting that a man or woman was a social role or position that one occupied.
According to Bogardus, the flaw in what he calls the social-role view of gender is that not every person who wants to be recognized socially as a man or woman is perceived as one. To rectify this, the social-role view of gender morphed into the self-identification view. In the process, the sex-gender distinction collapsed, and the survivor was gender, not sex. In this brave new world, men who identify as women are female, and women who identify as men are male.
Gender-identity theory, then, is a strange amalgam of ideas. The theory asserts that we are imbued with an innate gendered essence, but it defines that essence by time- and culture-bound masculine and feminine stereotypes. It divorces our sex from biology, and redefines it by how we dress, behave, and express ourselves.
Even the “queer theorists,” often credited with developing gender ideology, arguably would not understand its current incarnation. For the godmother of queer theory, Judith Butler, sex is subsumed under gender, and gender exists only as a performance made intelligible through repetition. The notion that there is a “real” gender—or gender identity—behind the performance is not only false but is the very idea that queer theory aims to challenge. Those who borrow Butler’s jargon and concepts to argue that all humans have an innate gender identity, and that this innate identity needs social and medical “affirmation,” seem scarcely aware of—or concerned with—the deep contradiction in their position.
Whether social scientists admit it or not, gender discourse has consequences. As the writer and researcher Eliza Mondegreen recently pointed out, growth in trans identification is not just fueled by interpreting various kinds of distress as gender dysphoria. Trans identification can come first, followed by the experience of gender dysphoria.
Imagine a shy, sensitive boy who likes to cook and draw, and is uninterested in sports and rough-and-tumble play. In a different time, this would be unremarkable. But now, ubiquitous cultural messaging suggests that this boy’s personality and preferences are evidence that he is a girl and always has been. The boy’s self-understanding is made increasingly unstable, and his sense of self is increasingly dependent on the opinion of others. Do I sound enough like a girl? Do I look enough like one? Do others see me as the girl I know I am inside? He becomes increasingly distressed about the reality of his male body and the ever-growing chasm between it and true female embodiment. Alternatively, a part of him may understand that he is in fact male, and yet this reality is routinely denied by the gender-affirming people in his orbit. Either way, he develops gender dysphoria.
Ironically, what some activists call “gender liberation” arguably reinforces the same pressures to conform. For example, the Gender Liberation Resource Center describes liberation as “people understand[ing] themselves free of pressures to conform or limit who they can be based on their assigned sex.” “Gender liberation” in this sense may free us from the limits imposed on us by our “assigned sex,” but significantly, it imposes new limits, pressures to conform, and understandings of who we can be based on personality, preferences, and gender expression. What the activist camp fails to grasp is that in practice they encourage the same rigid adherence to social norms, and intolerance of nonconformity, that their supposedly liberatory project rejects. Where some see liberation, others see a rainbow-colored cage.

Regarding:
The notion that there is a “real” gender—or gender identity—behind the performance is not only false but is the very idea that queer theory aims to challenge.
This is what Judith Butler has to say:
In this sense, gender is in no way a stable identity or locus of agency from which various acts proceede; rather, it is an identity tenuously constituted in time -an identity instituted through a stylized repetition of acts. Further, gender is instituted through the stylization of the body and, hence, must be understood as the mundane way in which bodily gestures, movements, and enactments of various kinds constitute the illusion of an abiding gendered self. This formulation moves the conception of gender off the ground of a substantial model of identity to one that requires a conception of a constituted social temporality. Significantly, if gender is instituted through acts which are internally discontinuous, then the appearance of substance is precisely that, a constructed identity, a performative accomplishment which the mundane social audience, including the actors themselves, come to believe and to perform in the mode of belief. If the ground of gender identity is the stylized repetition of acts through time, and not a seemingly seamless identity, then the possibilities of gender transformation are to be found in the arbitrary relation between such acts, in the possibility of a different sort of repeating, in the breaking or subversive repetition of that style. -- Judith Butler, "Performative Acts and Gender Constitution: An Essay in Phenomenology and Feminist Theory"

Seven Ways to Summon the Ghost King
Chapter Two: The Friend of a Friend
[1] [here] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Ao3
Summary: Dean wants his brother's soul back. Danny is ready to help.
Warnings: Some blood and the aftermat of a fight.
- - -
Dean left the shitty store and Doc. Roberts’ shitty ‘office’, standing in the middle of the convenience store that served as a front for the doctor’s more arcane business. “This better work.” He said to himself. “Messorum evoco qui me titigit.”
“Dean? What the Hell?”
Dean turned around, meeting his reaper once again after all these years. “What do you know? It worked.” She seemed to remember him well, if her choice to go with her human-looking shape rather than her ‘spooky bed sheet ghost’ attire was any indication.
“I was in Sudan!” Tessa exclaimed. “What’s with yanking me ov-” She stopped, actually seeing his current state, “wait, why are you dead?”
Finally! To the point. “Tessa, I need a favor.”
“Oh, you’re kidding. You died to ask me-”
“Tell your boss I need to talk to him.” The hunter hastily interrupted. Only three minutes.
“No.” Tessa said immediately.
“Please?”
“Where do you get the nerve?”
“Desperate times.” That was as simple as he could say it, since he didn’t consider the bread aisle next to the rotisserie chicken to be the perfect place to talk about it.
“He calls for us.” The reaper finally explained. “We don’t call him.”
“You make an exception!” Dean snapped, his patience was wearing thin.
“I can’t!” But even a reaper had limitations. There were rules they were bound to.
“Can’t or won’t?!”
“Both!”
“Hey, um, sorry to interrupt, but you’re Tessa and Dean, right?” A lanky guy that almost looked like Tessa’s little brother interrupted and- wait, was he actually her Reaper lil’ bro or something? To be here with them in Limbo…
“Danny?” Was what she said instead, gobsmacked. “I mean, sir-”
“Danny is okay, really.” The guy said, putting up both hands in front of himself, as a placating gesture and to fend off the formality. “Anyway, Death sent me.” That caught Dean’s attention. “I’ll take it from here.” Danny told her kindly. “You can go back to work, don’t worry.”
Tessa looked back at Dean, lips pursed and finally nodded. “Behave.” She warned the hunter one last time before disappearing.
“So, who the fuck are you?” Dean demanded from the new guy. “Can you actually do something or do I have to ask for the big boss again?”
“Woah, calm down, man. I just got here. My names Danny, by the way. Death’s busy so she delegated to me. What do you need?”
Ignoring the odd pronoun, Dean went right back to the chase. “My brother’s soul is in Hell, in the Cage! While his body is up here being a fucking psychopath!” He was breathing hard, closing his hands into fists and then opening them again. “He’s down there being tortured by Lucifer and Michael and I… I can’t leave him there.” He looked up to meet Danny’s eyes.
Had they been green a minute ago?
“Where is his body?” He said with a chilling intensity.
“Why-”
“You said his body is up and about, I need you to keep it in one place. I don’t know how long it’ll take me, but I need you to keep his body in one place: where?”
“… Singer Savage, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.”
Danny nodded. “Go there, lock up your brother’s body and wait for me.” He commanded firmly. “Understood?”
At Dean’s nod, Danny put a hand on the hunter’s chest and-
-Dean came back with a deep gasp, as his lungs tried to compensate for the time his body had been starved of breath.
“I have to go.” He sat up shakily, just in time to avoid a shot of adrenaline. “I need to-”
“Aw, this was the best part.” The goth chick next to him grumbled, syringe still in hand.
“Oh, boy, you’re alright! How did it go?” Doctor Roberts asked him, and Dean felt his heartbeat accelerate.
“It was- great. Awesome. And I have- I need to go back to Bobby.” He made for the door, but Roberts put both hands on his shoulders and sat him back down.
“Dean, you are in no state to drive. You just came back from the dead, you need to recover.” He said, handing him a glass of water of dubious origin.
“No! What I need to do is go back with Bobby and keep Sam in one piece- place, and quickly. Danny said-”
“Alright, big boy.” The assistant drawled, smirking. “No need to throw a tantrum. I can drive you there.”
Dean seriously considered saying Cristo right then, because the smile Eva gave him was nothing short of devilish.
- - -
Dean stumbled into Singer Savage, thankful he had left his baby back here, otherwise he feared Eva would demand to drive herself back. That girl really was hell in four wheels.
“Bobby!” He called, entering the old house and looking for the old man. “Where is Sam?!
“Over here, boy.”
As he walked towards the voice, he noticed the disarray the place was in, with broken furniture and stuff thrown around all over the place.
He found Bobby sitting in front of a big metal door nursing his flask close to his chest.
“What happened here?” He asked in concern.
“Your baby brother is what happened.” Bobby said, pointing at the door with his thumb and taking a swing from his flask in his other hand. “Fuckin’ tried to kill me and failed!” He told him, with the last bit thrown over his shoulder towards Sam’s cell.
“So he’s there? He’s trapped?” Dean looked through the small window, finding a dirty and bloodied Sam sitting on the floor glaring daggers at him with heartless –soulless– eyes.
“As well as ‘can be since we don’t have a human-trapping circle yet. You know, other than walls.” Bobby extended his hand and Dean took it, helping the older hunter stand up. “Did you make it? You got the deal?”
“Yeah, I- I got the deal.” He put a hand in his pocket where the ring-
The ring wasn’t there.
Had the kid taken it while Dean didn’t notice? How could Dean not notice? Had he tricked him into believing he would save his little brother so Dean would back off?
A lump formed in his throat and his knees trembled. Had he damned Sammy?
“Move over!”
It happened in a flash. One second he was questioning all his actions that led up to this moment and the next his life of obeying his father was kicking in and he instinctually followed the order.
The next moment, both he and Bobby had a lot to process.
Not just because a glowing, white haired kid with a bruised face caked with a green substance had just passed through the steel door dragging an equally bruised, equally glowing Sammy, but also because he had left another person behind, laid on the floor just as bloody and bruised but not glowing like them.
“What the hell was that?!” Bobby voiced their thoughts.
“Adam?” Dean knelt next to the still form of his half-brother. The surprise and confusion were clear in his voice, not only for the fact that Adam was there but for his current condition. Was he actually alive? Was this his dead body and had his soul already left?
A blood-curdling scream tore Dean away and back towards the door, where he only caught a flash of bright light through the small window before he could finally find both Sammy and Danny thrown on the floor, unconscious.
Bobby turned to Dean, confused, “Son, you better start doin’ some explaining.”
- - -
“So, this half dead thing, how does it work?” Bobby asked Danny, handing him another ice-pack, this one going to his split lip.
“Usually better than this.” The young man replied with a grimace. Young man. An adult again, while his other half had been just a boy. “Usually I heal kinda fast, but I don’t think that’ll be the case this time.”
“Because you took on two archangels.”
Danny almost doubled over laughing, but his cracked ribs and Bobby’s firm hand on his good shoulder stopped him from causing himself more damage.
“Easy, boy.”
“Sorry, it’s just- I didn’t ‘take on’ two archangels. I didn’t even face them! I just, got in while they were at each other’s throats, distracted, snatched up the guys, and turned tail as fast as I could when they noticed.
“If I had actually tried to fight them, none of us would have gotten out.” His face had sobered, looking at his bandaged hand.
Who had he been holding with that hand? Would it had been Adam or Sam who got dragged back to Hell? Bobby shuddered to think that. These boys deserved to be finally free.
Speaking of which…
“But you still went to the end of Hell and back to get ‘em back. And I owe you for that. Thank you.”
The boy blushed and ducked his head, shrugging. “It had to be done.”
“No, don’t.” The weathered hunter gripped Danny’s shoulder more firmly, but still mindful of his injury. “Don’t undermine what you did, kid. You saved these boys. So, again, thank you.”
Ha had saved Sam’s soul, and if his soulless body’s previous attempt at patricide showed something, it was that Sam saw Bobby as a father as much as Bobby saw him as a son.
And maybe he hadn’t raised Adam like he had his boys, but he still was so young, with a whole life ahead of himself. He would have to come to terms with his mother’s loss and the years he’d missed but if he had that Winchester stubbornness in him he would be okay. Eventually.
“If there is anything I can do…” Bobby offered again.
“Uh, actually…” Danny’s sheepishness turned into outright embarrassment. “I could really do with a ride home. My friends and sister are at college and I really don’t trust my parents’ driving.”
Bobby huffed out a laugh. Of all things he could have asked…
“Sure thing, kid. Do ya mind if I call someone to pick you up? I gotta fix this place, and I really wanna keep an eye on these boys.”
“No prob’, sir, just, generally speaking, if we could keep the ‘half ghost’ thing between the people here, y’know, don’t let word get out, that would be great.”
“Understood.”
- - -
Sam and Adam were still out cold, but alive. Dean had wanted to stay by their bedside, but Bobby left no room for arguing in that he had to thank Danny before he left for home. Home, which was his parents’ house in Illinois, when he wasn’t at college.
Was he seriously just some guy? Part-timing as a reaper… ghost… friend of Death of all beings.
Said guy was currently resting against Garth’s truck, eyes closed and face tilted upwards just basking in the sunlight after having gone to the depths of Hell and back. Because Dean had asked.
Yeah, he should thank him face to face.
“Hey.” He called out as he approached.
Danny looked back down and Dean finally got to see his busted lip and split eyebrow, which had been easier to ignore than the arm in a cast, but harder than the bad posture hiding his broken and bandaged ribs.
“Hey, man.” He said with a weak grin. “Ready to move on, huh?”
“Yeah, I already called my parents, told them I’ll be visiting… I didn’t tell them it’s gonna be a recovery visit, though, or they would have insisted in driving here.” Danny said with a grimace. “I’m just waiting for your friend Garth to finish talking with Mister Singer, and then we’ll go.”
Dean nodded along but on the inside he steeled himself, cowboyed up, and began, “Hey, listen, about Death’s ring, I know you already took it but-”
“I didn’t take anything.” Danny said calmly making the hunter pause. His expression was knowing and serene. “If you had something of Death’s that she wanted back, there was nothing you could’ve done to keep her from getting it back. Death is everywhere and you can’t escape her forever.” He said it so matter-of-fact and with such acceptance that it rankled Dean, who had already died and come back as well.
“Ok, well, then you still went to Hell and saved my brothers, and I know you told Bobby we owed you nothing and only want a ride home but-”
“Mister Singer owes me nothing, but you do.” The halfa interrupted him again, leaving Dean flabbergasted.
Was he really saying…? Well, it’s not like Dean wasn’t in the middle of offering anyway, but still…
The hunter nodded. “Okay.” He didn’t know what he was signing up to, but he had already sold his soul once to save Sam, and he would do it again if it came down to it.
“You don’t owe me because I saved your brothers.” Danny explained. “I’d have done that for free, any time. You owe me one for not telling your youngest brother that you didn’t even think of him when you asked me to go on a rescue mission to Hell.” Danny’s glare wasn’t hateful or even angry, just disappointed and disdainful.
Dean was still stunned, he closed his mouth then opened it again but no sound came out. He really hadn’t thought… hadn’t considered… fuck. Shit! Damn it!
He shook himself out of his thoughts and nodded again. He deserved whatever he got.
- -
Garth and Bobby wrapped up their conversation, and soon enough Danny was out of Singer Savage and headed back to Illinois.
They still had to deal with the angels’ war, and see what would happen with Adam, what he would choose.
His brothers were fine, they were safe for now, and they would get better soon.
Still, as he watched the back of the speeding truck get smaller and smaller, Dean was left feeling hollow.
- - -
The first bit of this chapter was directly taken from a transcription of "Appointment in Samarra", the episode where Death has Dean do his job for a day to teach him the lesson that murder is okay if done by someone better dressed than you! asdfghjklñ. I just added some descriptions.
There, Death asks him "which brother" to save from the Cage, since Dean tty forgot about lil Adam smh.
Let's just say that the setting (me, being the one to write this) demanded Danny to be Not Cool with that, so this is a little fix it. I did this for Adam and have no regrets. Youngest half siblings for the win!

#17 for V 👀 (I just want more j3p lore)
OC Ask game time
17) Does your OC have a pet?
in the main universe she has nibbles! she doesn't really consider him a pet, he just comes around for food and shower drain water once in awhile. she's not really interested in having pets, she's also barely able to take care of herself so having another creature that's dependent on her in her life is a no-go.
in au: everybody wants to rule the world she has a pet rat called johnny 3 paws! (hollywood undead is her favourite band and their bass player is called johnny 3 tears + v changed her last name to scene, which is also the last name of their lead singer lmao)
j3p and her met when v was homeless! (again) when she picked a place to stay for the night he was already there and very adamant to defend his space. after fighting arguing for a bit he decided to let her stay and they shared a pizza! he decided to stay with her and once v got a place to stay (thanks vik!) he moved in with her.
now having pets is illegal in night city and for most people that would mean having a rat friend is difficult, not for v however! she managed to get her hands on a big cage and DIYs a lot of his toys and such. she knows a lot of people and even does gigs for dakota (someone mentions she grows her own melons so i imagine you can get other real fruit and stuff from her) to get her hands on some food for him.
j3p (or jpeg as viv likes to call him) was a biotechnica lab rat and while rats are already plenty smart he got something about him that makes him even smarter!
he and viv's nibbles are best friends! he often visits him and they even go on little adventures in the city.
i'm currently writing something silly so you get a little sneak peak!
"why do you have two humans?" "dunno. he showed up one day. 'member when we went on vacation? with the small male human?" "we visited vincent right?" "the fat human? yeah, that time. human johnny was just here when i came back." "he has a scent to him. like the PreemOhs valerie has in her cupboard. stale." "he does? i like his smell."
also obligatory meme:

Watched Survivor Series: Wargames. My highlights:
1. The women’s match was chaotic in a good way. Waited for a Dakota Kai-esque betrayal at the entranceway but didn’t get it sadly.
2. LOL at Asuka’s mist finally neutralizing Rhea’s rampage.
3. Frenemies Becky and Bianca working together to get the W warmed my heart.
4. Sami near tears as he explained to Roman what being in the Bloodline means to him was some top tier acting. But the look on Roman’s face when he hugged Sami was 🥶 .
5. Shoutout to Damian Priest’s hair! The literal definition of bone-straight!
6. Always happy to see Dominik get his ass beat. That Thanksgiving beatdown he gave his Daddy made me mad lol
6. Finn and AJ beat the shit out of each other. Both guys are in their 40s and they still move the way they do. Very enjoyable.
7. Still don’t like Austin Theory but I’m taking him a little more seriously now.
8. Chocolate Daddy Lashley always looks like such a badass. 🍫
9. LOVED the double Hurt Lock on both Seth and Austin.
10. The Super Stomp from Seth! The finish was GREAT. Really good match IMO.
11. The entire Bloodline coming out together (in red, no less 🤤). I could feel the atmosphere change even through the screen.
12. I believe Roman is the first person to ever sit on a chair in the War Games cage lol.
13. Roman you ain’t slick, I know you sent Jey in first on purpose to get tortured before he could get any help! 👀 😡
14. Am I the only one that loves when Butch turns people’s fingers into pretzels? Sorry Jey.
15. TBH I initially thought the men’s match was going a little slow, but once Sami came in, I quickly understood that this match was all about the storytelling.
16. Fam, Solo Sikoa coming in second to last for the Bloodline made him look so important. He changed the match, the badass shooter making way for the final boss. And don’t forget the way he stared down the opps before the match even started. Straight flames!
17. Sami making the save for literally every Bloodline member 🥹🥺. Yet I was still on the edge of my seat because I was sure they would turn on him during the match
18. Jey superkicked that man in the face with zero remorse 😩🤦🏾‍♀️ And the crowd calling him an asshole afterwards was perfect!
19. Sami giving Kevin that low blow followed up with a Helluva kick was essentially Sami shooting Kevin in the head. Then sacrificing Kevin to Jey to finish him off. MY EMOTIONS!
20. You know you’ve been accepted when Roman hugs you with his hand on the back of your head, lol.
21. THE HUG FROM JEY 😳😳😳 I couldn’t believe my eyes!
———-
I don’t care what anyone else watches. The Bloodline storyline is THE BEST story being told in wrestling today. Rikishi’s boys are exceptional professional wrestlers.
My MVP - Sami Zayn, hands down. Stole the entire show. Stole this storyline and pocketed it. He has been amazing since this started in May. Plus this was funny af:
Line of the night:
“Come fight me, you little bitch!” - Becky to Bayley, repeatedly 🥴😂

hiii can you pleassseee do a JD one shot - where sweet reader (not famous) has a hugeee crush on him, he has no idea but everyone else does & when she does eventually confess, he doesn't feel the same way. but he can't seem to get her out of his head after it and eventually he realizes she's it and catches her by surprise w a passionate kiss/confession!! (age gap, fluff) request by anon
summary: even when Johnny convinces himself he doesn't feel the same way about y/n, maybe, they were indeed meant to be together
pairing: Johnny Depp X personal assistant!reader
warning: fluff
Tumblr media
Y/n stared lovingly at Johnny as he acted out his lines to perfection, her hands full with his things: his water bottle, script for the next take, and buch other things.
The more she kept looking at Johnny, the more she realised how hard she'd fallen and to the point of no return. She knew she shouldn't feel the things she's feeling with almost thirty years of age gap and their boss-employee relation, but how could anyone not fall for the man. He's perfect in each and every sense.
"If you keep staring, he'll prolly think you're a physcho."
Dakota's sudden appearance made Y/n gasp in shock. "God Dako! Stop scaring me!" She sighed at her best friend.
Dakota shrugged, now standing beside Y/n. "Stop staring, honestly. He's gonna freak out."
Y/n sighed deeply knowing her friend is telling the truth. "Yeah...but I wanna tell him how I feel. Then, atleast I'll sleep soundly even if he doesn't feel the same," she breathed in, the mere thought of confession made her heart thump loudly against her rib cage.
Dakota turned to Y/n and engulfed her in a warm embrace. "I'm so happy that you finally decided to tell him about your feelings. He will like you back, I'm telling you. And if he doesn't, he's a fool," she smiled to cheer her friend.
Y/n nodded feeling hopeful. But the thought that he may not feel the same, lingered on the back of her mind.
The director yelled cut and Johnny jogged upto the two ladies, smiling brightly.
"What we talking about?" He asked, taking his water bottle from y/n's hands and taking a swig of the liquid.
Dakota smirked. "Oh you know how Y/n should confess her feelings to her crush," she nudged y/n slightly by her elbow, making y/n blush.
Johnny looked a bit confused. "Oh really? Didn't know you liked someone, Y/n", he chuckled awkwardly.
Y/n glanced at Dakota, and she took take her leave with an excuse of a phone call, leaving the pair alone.
"It's nearly 12:30. Isn't it time for break?" She took a look at her wrist watch.
Johnny nodded.
"I can bring you the food if you want, Me. Depp otherwise maybe we can go together?" She asked expectantly, already preparing herself for the not-so-fun answer.
Johnny chuckled. "Yes we can go together and how many times do I have to tell you not to call me Mr. Depp? That makes me sound ancient," he smiled. "Let me grab my things then we'll leave."
Y/n nodded again, a soft smile on her face as she thought maybe all things doesn't have to have a bad ending.
•••
The two sat on a table of two as they waited for the food to arrive. That talked about work, filming, life in general. The food arrived shortly after and they started eating.
Y/n looked up from her plate and stared at Johnny.
"Uhhh...Mr. De— no sorry, Johnny? I have to tell you something," she breathed in, ready to finally get her feelings out in the open.
"Yeah anything," He smiled yet again.
"I-I...like you. I know I shouldn't but I do," she immediately looked down to avoid his gaze.
Johnny kept quite not saying anything for a bit. Then after a few minutes, he spoke again.
"I'm sorry Y/n, but I don't feel the same. You're the most sweet and loving person I've met. It's just that I don't see you like that," he said, softly.
Y/n's eyes blurred with tears as she tried her best not to let them fall. She knew it'd go this way but her stupid heart won't stop nagging her. She already knew this would never work out even if he did like her back.
It's the way their fate had been written.
She finally looked up, wiping a stray tear cascading down her face. Then, with a smile, she forwarded her hand towards Johnny.
"It's all good. But we can still be friend?" She smiled brightly as if her heart isn't broken in two halves at the moment.
Johnny smiled in return, clasping his hand with hers in a firm shake.
They smiled at each other, continuing their meal.
•••
It's been a week since y/n confessed her feelings towards Johnny, a week since they got on terms to remain friends as before.
But for some reason, Johnny couldn't keep his mind off her.
He thought of everytime, Y/n asked him if he was okay even if it wasn't her place to do so.
Thought of everytime she looked after him. Everytime, she calmed him down from a panic attack. Everytime she stood by him no matter what.
She has become more than an assistant to him. She's became the person he needs the most in his life, and the one he cannot live without.
So, he planned, the next day on set, he'll tell her how he feels. He's been to quick to judge how he felt at the moment.
He didn't think his heart would betray his mind and fall for the sweet girl whom he thought was just a friend.
He knew he'd done wrong and he needed to fix it.
•••
Y/n sat beside Dakota on her chair, her head resting in her friend's shoulder.
"I told you Dako, he doesn't feel the same. Why did I have to listen to you and my stupid heart and tell him! God I'm such and idiot!" She scoffed, annoyed at herself.
Dakota combed her hand through Y/n's hair, sighing sadly. "No, Y/n. You're not an idiot. He is. And now at least, you'll be able to move past him. You know what? I'm setting up a blind date for you this weekend. You need to get over him."
Y/n nodded. "Yeah you're right."
A minute or two later, Johnny running to the both of them, heaving for air.
Y/n stood up abruptly. "Where are you coming from and why did you run?" She asked, scrambling though his bag to hand him his water bottle.
Johnny grabbed her by the shoulder, stopping all her movements.
In a snap, he pushed his lips against her plump ones.
Dakota gasped watching the two of the them.
The kiss even shocked Y/n, not responding to it. When Johnny felt that he'd done something he shouldn't have and was about to pull away, Y/n kissed him back, pulling him deeper by the back of his neck.
Dakota got her cue to walk away, smiling as the idiots finally kissed. She's been shipping them for months now.
They kissed each other for as long as their lungs would allow them, breaking away when they needed air to fill their lungs.
Y/n smiled softly, confused. "Wait, what?"
Johnny put his head against Y/n's and sighed. "I didn't know what I was say that day. I realised I don't want to have you just as a friend. I want you to be my girlfriend. Would you like that?" He asked, his eyes hopeful.
"I'd love that," Y/n smiled, pecking him on the cheek.

The Destruction of Black Civilization and The Origin of African Civilization by Chancellor Williams were challenged at the Prince George County high school libraries in 1993 because the two volumes were said to promote “racism against white people.” In a complaint filed with the state, the works were called “racist pornography” written “to provoke emotions and actions of racial prejudice, bias, hatred, and hostility towards citizens and students in Maryland.”
