"let's see." she leaned back in her chair and tapped the top of the nicola can five times before cracking it open. "i'd like more tattoo's." she shrugged and took the first sip, a pleasant sigh escaped her, followed by a loud burp.

"like to get dicked down some more." her finger played around with the tab as she thought about it. "in the ass preferably. johnny's gettin' a bit too comfortable with pussy action." she smirked.

he glitched into view next to her, giving her a slight smack to the back of the head. "forget about it." he said, sternly.

"What do you want out of life?"

"what do i - ?" v paused, exasperated. their argument had been going on for quite some time and it felt like they were going in circles. "not watch my friend become a fuckin' corpo-rat, that's what!" she threw her hands into the air.

"not a fuckin' answer!" viv replied, just as angry. "that's my life you're talkin' about! not yours!"

"i'm not part of your life?" a genuine, albeit stupid question. she truly wanted the best for her friend and starting to work for a corp was very low on the "good" list.

"with the way you are behavin' right now ya won't be for very long!" this hurt, but v only knew about anger thus it sent her into a rage.

"seriously?!" she grabbed one of the potted plants, it was vincent's, a birthday present from some years ago. "endin' this friendship over a fuckin' job?!" the porcelain shattered on the floor and the soil scattered across the ground.

viv was taken aback, this wasn't going to end well but they were too far into this argument already to back out now. besides, she was never going to back down. this job offering was the best thing to ever happen to her and she wasn't going to let anyone - not even her best friend - take it away from her.

"are you??" she said, breathlessly. "are you crazy?!"

"crazy? me?! you plan on workin' for fuckin' arasaka!"

"look at'cha! you are actin' like ya father!" she clasped her hand in front of her mouth immediately, realising what she just said. she meant it, but that doesn't mean it needed to be said.

v became very calm all of a sudden, her breathing slowed and her body stopped trembling. "it worked?" viv thought.

"one." v pauses and takes a drag from her cigarette that is so intense it makes a sucking sound. "keep runnin' into gonks, who ask me dumbass questions." her voice is strained and her face contorted from keeping the smoke in her lungs and mouth. she closes her eyes for a moment before exhaling it with a sigh.

johnny pops into view next to the person asking the question, silverhand-brand grin on his face. "c'mon v, finally someone's interested in ya life. give 'em an answer."

"piss off." she retorts, only audible to him but then turns her attention back at the asker.

"i think -" another drag from her cigarette. "started when i was a child." she continued and johnny raises his eyebrows at the genuine tone. another cloud of cigarette smoke is blown into the air, v watches it disappear, contemplating.

her eyes shift over to johnny and the look on his face, it only takes her a few moments before she bursts out laughing, pointing at him.

"you should see the look on ya face." she wipes away a tear from her eye. "priceless."
