General thoughts on them:

I really love him so far honestly, I have yet to fully beat the game but he's really neat. I love characters who experience the horrors, and Makoto definitely is one of them! I feel like my icon gives my general thoughts on him away pretty well also

Sexuality & gender headcanons:

Aroace and nonbinary! He/they pronouns, having a slight preference for they

Who I ship them with, if anyone:

Not a ship in the classic sense due to headcanoning them as aroace, but I really like their dynamic with Aigis! Not 100% sure yet, but him having a queerplatonic relationship with Aigis is an interesting concept to me and I might end up going with that

Random headcanons I have about them:

I've been thinking of the idea of Kotone actually existing as a character, and dying in the same accident that killed his parents, mainly due to the fact that she does exist in my WC AU as his sister. Vice versa in the universe where you play as Kotone. Unsure if I'll actually go with this, but I think it's an interesting idea I had that I want to consider

Animal they are in my animalified AU:

He is a fox! Felt like a good fit for his personality, and I feel like the markings foxes have fit him really well

Reason for their Warrior Cat AU name:

Their warrior cat name is Irispaw, and I went with Iris for two main reasons. Firstly the colour of the flower fits them very well, and second they were originally a kittypet before joining the clan, and Iris is a name I feel like a pet cat could have. Unsure what their suffix should be yet!

Any extra thoughts about them:

I'm not the most expressive person in the world, so I really like imagining how he reacts to things. I want him to have a happy ending, but I don't trust this game lol

in a normal relationship with chrollo, you might actually be able to sand away at the edges of his more unhealthy tendencies... even if he isn't yandere, he'd still be doing some questionable things without your knowledge. after being with you romantically for a while, he'd fight the impulses better. unless you leave your journal out in the open. that's an opportunity too tempting to resist.

this progress isn't so much his way of settling down and becoming an upstanding citizen, either. you've gone from being the cute person at a café reading a translation of a novel he's itching to tell you doesn't do the original work justice, to someone he can't ever see himself being without. even then he still isn't normal when it comes to you. his loyalty, once earned, is intense. if your boss ever passes you up for a promotion he's stealing their car and leaving it at a harrowing crime scene. he considers that an act of mercy, compared to what else he's capable of.

yandere chrollo, though. hm. you can try setting up your 'how to love normally' academy. he'll attend your lectures, do the reading, submit his assignments on time... but the material isn't applied how you hoped. he isn't going to have a miraculous change of heart. no, he'll apply what he's learned on a superficial level. you've essentially handed him a wealth of knowledge for him to use to his advantage. he's no stranger to deception — if you want him to change his behavior, he'll give you the impression that he has. he's game for almost anything, so long as it doesn't involve you going out and about by yourself.

as for him getting tired of you, it isn't going to happen. his devotion is an iron chain there's no freeing yourself from. he derives too much enjoyment from your interactions and just you in general to ever give it up. he's very much a 'til death do us part' type.

the person who edited that video should have done a professional level job if they were being paid for it. i love dnp & i love dapg and i am a professional editor so it is astounding to me that someone could have literally my dream job and be so lazy about it. that's not even the kind of thing that's a mistake because what they're doing is hard (it is in many ways) it literally only happens when you don't care enough to rewatch the video you are putting your name on after you export. skill issue

A selfish/self-indulgent ask: would you ever consider drawing cricket/reader as fat? Esp with some of the boys? Obviously your art is yours and you don't owe anyone anything, like I said more if a selfish thing/ask on my end

It's possible I might draw some more variations on the character in the future, but for now? Probably not. This is simply because Cricket isnt (to me) a physically ambiguous character (I have a very strong image in my head of what they look like). I don't often draw Cricket at all outside of quick sketches, because I dont want to push my view of how I imagine the character onto other people! I have no problem with people headcanoning or imagining or drawing whatever they like though <3
