Carreira and Ponomarenko moved their training to Canada in recent years and are coached by a team that includes two-time Olympic champion Scott Moir and Olympic bronze medalist Madison Hubbell.
“It's completely changed my perspective on the sport and on life in general,” Carriera said. “They really changed my life. They’ve given me such a positive outlook on the sport and how I see myself and us as a team. I'm so, so grateful for them.”
The U.S. silver medalists train in London, Canada; and Montreal.
“We came here [Montreal] to train for two weeks after nationals. We focused a lot on the technical side and then when we went back home [London], we focused on what Scott calls ‘the magic,’” Carreira said. “The little something special, that it doesn't look like you’ve been doing that dance for 1,000 times. It looked fresh and new, and I think blending the two together really paid off.”

DIY Credit Dr.® - Strategy 3 (Using Credit Cards Like A Pro)

Admittedly, I was a little frustrated this episode that Ted “you’re only one of eleven” Lasso was allowing and even encouraging this Zava nonsense, but I think it just goes to show that the Ted we see this season is a very different man from Ted in season 1. Originally, he made it very clear that it didn’t care if the team won or lost, he cared about making the players the best they could be. But after Beard snapping on him that winning does matter in season 1, Richmond being relegated and the fear of that happening again, and now Rebecca begging Ted to fight back and not let the club be humiliated in 3x01, Ted probably does care a lot more about making sure the team wins.
And of course, his mental health is at an all time low, and his obsession over his ex-wife is not allowing him to focus on Richmond. We hardly saw him put any effort into actually coaching this episode because, like the sky news guys said, putting Zava in the game and doing nothing else isn’t coaching. I think this will tie into Ted’s arc this season of figuring out his purpose and where he belongs. He’s openly questioned why he’s still in London and coaching football, because he feels completely out of place. But! we’ve also seen him show an interest in becoming a better coach this season- in 3x01 he knew the formation and talked about how playing FIFA helped him understand the game better, and in 3x02 he was trying to read the strategy book.
Zava’s arrival and Ted’s personal issues have stunted that obviously, but I think after he gets confronted (probably by Roy or Jamie) about letting Zava run all over the team, Ted will realize that Richmond and coaching is what he really cares about, and the season will end with him finally accepting that he wants to stay in London and actually focus on becoming a good football coach.

Watching Law and Order OC and Rick Gonzalez should’ve had a bigger career. I know he’s been steadily working in tv on some semi popular shows, but he’s so captivating and magnetic on screen I just wish he could’ve been in some big films and prestige shows too! Sad that when he got started the only roles Hollywood wanted to cast Latinos in were gangsters
