I'm learning watercolour paints, following Aaron Blaise's course!
The painting's not perfect but for the fourth one ever, I'm proud of how this sky turned out

Been in the mood to study some bears lately. This is a sketch I did following one of Aaron Blaise's animal drawing tutorials. I always learn a lot from his work, I recommend checking him out if you're up for some inspiration! :D

Last day in California. Today I'm flying out! The stress is real again with nightmares and everything😅 This is about the fear of missing the plane or forgetting important documents etc ofc. These are my three art direction pages for @armand_serrano mentorship. Technically I do now have the tools to redo my keyframe but the time was up. 8 weeks of hard work between 9 lessons. With a thorough study about the differences between a mouse and a rat. Since that just became confusing to me at some point. I'm especially proud of my clothing folds in the third slide. I followed the @aaronblaiseart course at #creatureartteacher for those. Like a little side class for the mentorclass.😉 This concludes my mentorship with Armand. Thank you so much for teaching! I might just be back next year! ❤ (bij San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj-xrWkr4d2/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

DAY 353
AND THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED
AND IT WAS BARELY BIG ENOUGH FOR TWO BECAUSE THE MOTEL IS SHITTY AND THE MATTRESS HAS LUMPS AND THE SHEETS SMELL LIKE MOTHBALLS BUT HEY IT'S AFFORDABLE AND THE SHOWER HAS HOT WATER SO WHO'S COMPLAINING?
Anyway all I have left is the rest of the shading on the bed and then I think I'm done. ...and shading on their eyes, which I've somehow neglected this whole time?! Oh well that'll be a quick fix. Be quicker if the cat wasn't yelling at me to go to bed because it's past our bedtime and he wants his night night cuddles.

Aaron Blaise - Story Angle 1
Beginning
A little boy named Aaron Blaise, living in a little trailer back in the Southwest of Florida loved nature and animals with all his heart. From sitting in the garage with his father and drawing pictures of ducks from the field books, he began sketching and painting wildlife and animals at a young age. He even dreamed of becoming an illustrator for National Geographic. Aaron was very carefree, spending countless hours exploring the wilderness, observing the wildlife and capturing the its beauty that he was almost never seen without his sketchbooks and paints. It wasn't just a hobby but a constant source of happiness and inspiration to little Aaron, that drove him to continue pursuing his passion.
Middle
He was very dedicated to art and nature as a hobby and took it a step further by graduating as an illustrator from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1989. His interest for animation, which he never really thought much about before, was sparked by luck when he was given the opportunity to intern at Disney at 19.
In his 21 years at Disney working as an animator or supervising animator, he contributed working on some iconic movies such as The Lion King, Mulan, Pocahontas and more. He was also mentored by the renowned animator Glen Keane in his second internship. Blaise continued to strive in the industry with his work and also co-directed the Academy Award-nominated film, Brother Bear.
Life doesn't always go without ups and downs, and while everything was going pretty stable and Blaise was working on a Pixar Film, tragedy struck him when his wife passed away. The death of his wife sent him down a dark path that also led him to explore a place where he's never been happier. There were really two things that defined him - it was his job with Disney and his family and both had been devastated by the loss of his wife. He needed a break - a time to figure out things and find himself. Quitting Disney, he went back to his hometown in Florida, reconnecting with his kids and also the nature and wildlife.
Ending
With unwavering persistence and determination, Blaise founded CreatureArtTeacher, a platform where he could share his vast knowledge and passion for art and animation with others. He poured his heart and soul into creating courses, tutorials, and art techniques available on his website and Youtube that inspired and became a beacon of hope to many aspiring artists and people all over the world. His every move was motivated by his deep love of art and his mission to help and teach others as well.
As Blaise continued on his journey, he faced challenges and setbacks, but he never gave up, having the mindset of "You never know where you’re going to end up. You just have to keep persisting." His work as an amazing artist, animator, director and art instructor became a reflection of his persistent vision, passion and also dedication throughout the years.

Just A Baby | Beagle Puppy
I never recall drawing animals much. So I chose to draw a beagle after enjoying cute puppy videos. This quick sketch always makes me smile.

I’m sharing the draw-along learning scribbles I did while watching through Aaron Blaise’s anatomy course, it’s something I’ve wanted to brush up on for a while, and just learn more in depth. This is a really great course for it! For now here’s some skellies and skulls from his teaching!

I hardly ever repost, but this is really worth sharing for the artists I know. Aaron Blaise is a wonderful teacher, and this is beyond a “sale” - it’s an incredibly generous gift to the art community in a season that has been so hard for so many people. I highly recommend checking out his website. (He even has his animation fundamentals course listed for FREE right now! 😱) • • • From Aaron Blaise’s Instagram: @aaronblaiseart “🎉🎉 NO JOKE! $1 Courses & Brushes + Other Deep Discounts!! Sketching bears from photo reference. Learned to draw them through Aaron Blaises´s online course "How to draw bears" ( creatureartteacher.com ). As I learn to draw each creature I find them even more beautiful. My favorite was the one laying down on the bottom right corner. So much weight, thought he was gorgeous.

New year, new account! Happy 2019, everyone! I’m starting the new year off by pushing the boundaries of my own artistic ability. • My least favorite thing in the world to draw or paint is hair. So what do I decide to draw/paint? Just the hairiest, furriest thing I could think of! I’ll be painting some big ol’ cats this week to try and overcome that obstacle of drawing hair/fur. • This particular painting was heavily inspired by Aaron Blaise, the one and only Creature Art Teacher and one of the greatest artists working today! • #digitalpainting #animalpainting #lion #bigcats #wildlife #nature #wildlifeart #natureart #digitalart #digitalartwork #painting #illustration #aaronblaise #creatureartteacher #inspired #majestic #lions #mammals #artist #artwork (at Powell, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsQx3hXDwRB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=edz68s3uuylc
