AU where we mix Danny Phantom and The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod.
Basically replace all the vampire stuff with ghost stuff, make Val a frienemy/let her know his secret, give us uncle Plasmius, etc. It would be interesting to see how that plays out relationship-wise. I have ideas of who other DP characters could be in it too if anyone wants to discuss these two pieces of media/combining them.

Danny Phantom Randomness (Principal Masters)
Tumblr media
Not sure if this idea has been used in the phandom before, probably not since it’s a pretty common for the principal of a school in a cartoon to be the antagonist in some way, but I thought I’d share it anyways. So here’s what I’m thinking. Personally I think it would have made a lot more sense for Vlad to switch tactics and double down on trying to win Danny over instead of going full cookie-cutter-bad-guy-that-wants-to-rule-the-world after cloning him failed which would make him realize that his little badger really is one of a kind and what he has can’t be replicated.
Up until this point Vlad’s been making Danny’s life more difficult instead of easier which was his whole sales pitch when they first met...
Vlad: Daniel, stop. Think about the things I could show you, the doors I could open for you. You, Danny Phantom, and I, Vlad Plasmius. Together, we could rule.
Then there’s these comments Vlad made to Danny in Reign Storm...
Vlad: Sneak attack, very good, Daniel. You're getting more like me with every battle.
Danny: I AM NOTHING LIKE YOU!
Vlad: Oh, you're not? Using your powers to get back at people you don't like? Throwing the first punch? You're more like me than you know.
I’m so disappointed this didn’t develop into something more interesting where Danny starts to genuinely worry he’s becoming too much like Vlad which would have made the events of The Ultimate Enemy twice as cool because it’d be like a glimpse of that reality where he’d actually become worse than Vlad. But, back to the topic at hand! I’ve mentioned this in a few of my fanfics but I think the whole cloning thing was more of a desperate attempt to get Danny on his side since Vlad never really made any serious attempts to tempt him to join willingly and just spent the whole time bashing Jack and telling Danny he’d be a better father.
With that in mind, rather than being a petty rich bully after Danny gets Vlad’s mansion destroyed in Season 3 what if Vlad decided to put his foot down to “re-educate” him so to speak? What I mean by that is instead of running for Mayor of Amity Park, why didn’t Vlad try to replace the principal of Casper High? For one thing it would have ACTUALLY made sense because the position doesn’t require living somewhere for more than 6 months and its purely based on their education and teaching experience. And I think overshadowing the right people on a smaller scale would make it more believable than the whole Mayor thing.
Vlad could of course still be a jerk about a lot of things to get back at Danny like force the whole dress code thing, however, it would have been an interesting twist if when Danny comes to Vlad to apologize and ask for a truce he graciously accepts which totally throws Danny for a loop. Why? Because that was the plan all along! Vlad wanted Danny to learn there are consequences to his actions, realized that fighting him is counterproductive, and on top of that, to actually show how much easier he could make Danny’s life by letting him become a part of it.
Honestly, I absolutely love the idea of him unexpectedly becoming the cranky overprotective type kind of like what you see in this amazing comic strip by @lilianade-comics: https://www.tumblr.com/lilianade-comics/703807353584320512/aw-man-dont-you-hate-it-when-your-arch-enemy?source=share
Think about it. If Vlad started to make Jack look bad without actively insulting him to make Danny finally get fed up with being hunted by his parents to the point where he’d reluctantly go there just to catch his breath once the two of them agree to a cease fire. Trouble with the high school bullies? In comes Uncle Vlad who happens to be the richest man in the world and a close personal friend of the Fenton family so Danny’s off limits. Ghost attack? Vlad helps cover up Danny disappearing to fight them or even scares them off if he has an important test that day. The list goes on on what Vlad could do to either make Danny’s life a living hell in a more personalized way by invading his school life or a lot better depending on their interactions at Casper High.
Long story short its basically using the idea that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar and all that so seeing Vlad gradually start doing nice things for Danny from time to time might help change his tune. Because deep down Danny DOES want to learn more about being half-ghost, but he refuses to accept Vlad’s offer to join him because he hasn’t really done anything to make it appealing. Vlad’s always insulting Danny and his father so if you ask me, giving him the praise he doesn’t get at home or at school could change so much between them...
Vlad’s just gotta be smarter about it.
Obviously Danny would be suspicious if Vlad started acting too nice to him right away so the changes would be gradual. And whenever he goes to Vlad for help or at the very least asks if he’ll cut him some slack Vlad will reward him for coming to him first. Especially because unlike his parents, Vlad knows exactly how much he’s dealing with and I’d love it if what started off as a plan to manipulate Danny transformed into an actual student and mentor relationship leading into a redemption arc instead of whatever Season 3 was.
And there you have it. Principal Masters AU anyone?

DP x Sky High Crossover
This takes place shortly after Danny's accident. He's mostly gotten his powers under control, but he slips up in front of his parents. He's terrified, the words "molecule by molecule" ringing in his head. However, in this au, superpowers are semi-normal, and his parents are ecstatic! An involuntary bout of intangiblity has his parents speculating whether it could have been caused by radiation from the lab or something else entirely.
Not sure if Danny's parents have powers or not, I'm thinking maybe Maddie has some kind of mental/emotional power that Jazz inherited which in her turned into an empath power.
Jazz didn't want to go to the superhero school, instead looking to use her powers in the therapeutic/psychology field.
Their parents tell Danny of Sky High, a school for kids with powers, where he could take the opportunity to learn and hone them. They have a contact in the school who is a friend from their college days (I'm thinking Coach Boomer or Ron Wilson, Bus Driver).
Danny talks to his friends about this, and they're excited for him too. In fact, Sam's parents were forcing her to go as well because it would "look good for their family name". Tucker wants to enroll to see all the tech and gadgets that superheroes get to use up close.
I think Sam would have the power to control poisonous/carnivorous plants (we already have Layla, so she has to be separate somehow), and we all know Sam; she brings plants and seeds to keep in her locker/bag. Tucker would have the power to talk to code (?) idk, there's already a technopath in the movie, so I'm open to ideas.
Back to Danny's accident, his friends are obviously concerned about Danny revealing his ghost side, so he agrees to not transform, and to only use his limited powers that are available in his human form (intangibility, invisibility, etc. no ecto-powers. This is also before his ice core activates, unless something happens further down the line 👀)
Now for the antagonists. I want the main villain to be Vlad. No one knows he's a halfa, not even Danny, but he knows about Danny and is keeping that knowledge for when opportunity arises. He wants Danny to be his apprentice, so when he sees his name on the roster, he takes up an assistant teaching position. As far as anyone else knows, Vlad's power is plasma manipulation (giving him a plasma core in this bc I like it).
Danny had no idea his uncle Vlad worked at Sky High (for now, everyone is oblivious, and Vlad plays the "good Uncle Vlad act" for a while to try and manipulate Danny to be his apprentice).
As for Sue Tenny/Gwen Grayson/Royal Pain, she does still play a big part in this story, but since Vlad is the main antagonist, I'm thinking he uses her to get to where he wants. Maybe they strike a deal, she thinks she's in charge, Vlad messes up her plans behind her back, usurps her at the last minute, idk (again, I'm open to ideas). I mostly don't want her to be the main villain bc de-aging/aging up makes me uncomfortable :< (minus what Stove did, making Dani the same age as Danny so they look like twins, that was cool and I like it better than canon). But her whole plot with Will and the others still happens like in the movie, we're just sprinkling in some more characters.

DP Phic Idea
Idea. So, I’ve been working on this DP phic idea that I thought up like two years ago and stumbled upon randomly the other day. I am now completely hyper-fixated on it and feel a deep need to share it with the phandom because...yes.
Basically, it’s been a few years since Danny’s graduated High School, well, maybe more than a few, because holy crap he’s 24 now (who the fuck let him turn into an adult? Irresponsible). But ever since he left the nest it’s been a whirl-wind of what the fuck. Despite his once failing grades, a certain phone call between old friends led him straight into Washington State University. Turns out Astrophysics does suit Danny well, NASA sure seem to think so, based on the internship they offered him. Although, nothing that good comes without strings attached. Danny never thought he’d end up back in Amity Park, teaching science to unmotivated teenagers and fighting old enemies because his internship came with a teaching component.
Meanwhile, Renley is damn near convinced Casper High’s newest science teacher, Mr F, is a ghost. Doesn’t matter how cool everyone seems to think he is, or how good looking, OR how well he teaches – theres something off about the guy and Ren is going to get to the bottom of it, no matter how far he has to dig. Oddly enough, his Uncle Wes seems keen to help.
But amongst all the confusion, fun and explosions, there’s something stirring in the Zone and don’t get him wrong, normally, Vlad would take every advantage he could to one up Daniel, but this...this one might be a problem. At least, if the giant inter-dimensional tear just left of Walkers Prison is any indication
Or...Danny, Sam and Tucker are too old for school now, doesn’t change the fact that they’re all still immature ghost fighting geeks, just with real adult responsibilities now.
Thoughts?

As much as I believe Vlad to be an iredeemable asshole in cannon, I like the idea of a begrudging mentor Vlad. Like, say in an alternate universe everything starts of the same but he's not got some evil plan to kill Jack and marry Maddie. He's bitter and resents them for turning him into this abomonation, resents them for being happy when he can't, he tries to stay connected, but he just can't stand being near them and fears their reaction to his ghost side. (1/3)
(2/3) He takes advantage of his new powers, he steals and cheats his way to power, living life lavishly, but it doesn't make him happy, none of it fills the emptiness in his heart. He spends most of his life miserable up until one day he invites the Fenton's on a whim, perhaps in some desperate attempt to find happiness again, where he meets Danny. It goes similarly how it went in the show, Vlad discovers he is a halfa like him, see's how his parents treat him... ~ ~ ~ i think part 3 got eaten, bro, but i'm gonna work with what i got.
Vlad sees this kid who's like him who's parents still talk about killing ghosts and destroying them in front of him. not knowing that they're threatening Vlad. that they're threatening their own son. he see's these so called scientist haven't learned anything about ghosts in the years that they've been estranged and that they've managed to make the same mistake twice.
and he see Danny, a moody teenager, going through the traumatic process of dying and gaining hard to control powers on top of being a highschooler and social pariah. he sees this kid in desperate need of guidance and sees his parents who are neglectful and unaware of a fact he learned within a day of knowing Danny. and he says, "if you can't handle the responsibility of having a kid, he's mine now." yoink
except, obviously, he's really, really bad at it. being a mentor, winning Danny over, being a good person. all of it.
initially he just straight up offers to help Danny learn his powers and that works, Danny agrees, because Vlad isn't trying to kill danny's parents or attacking him, or stalking them, so Danny has no reason not to accept the help. Vlad seems okay for all his rich guy eccentricities.
but then the lessons actually start and danny realizes. oh. this guy has no idea how to teach. and oh this guy has the moral compass of a rotary fan. and Danny initially goes with it. in canon danny's can be swayed by petty stuff and money up to a point. he can let a lot of shit go and is even willing to do some soft crime if he thinks it's for the right reasons. and Vlad might beat him up when trying to teach him to fight, but that's part of training, right? and he might be changing a little under Vlad's influence but danny doesn't see that as a bad thing, until Sam and tucker basically call him out and he accidentally hurts one of them. something that Vlad had told him to do.
so danny bails. basically confronts Vlad and tells him he's a shitty mentor and that he's gonna peace out. suck eggs, fruit loop.
but Vlad had thought things were going well. he's gotten attached. he doesn't want to go back to being alone and he and danny are the only two of their species in the world. so typical villain/stalker stuff happens between them for a bit. Vlad tries to win danny over with money, with manipulation, with blackmail. and Danny isn't having it. (he has blackmail on Vlad too). Vlad is growing increasingly desperate and looks and acts a mess. this is a vulnerable Vlad. we're not getting well kept always cocky and put together except when danny embarrasses him Vlad. we're getting a pathetic man trying to cling to the only human(ish) connection he has and slowly falling further into depression and insanity.
and Danny pities him. because Danny had that human connection too. in the early days before he decided he got to see vlad's dorky and cool side. Vlad was generous with his money. vlad only swears in food. he lights up when he watches a packers game and is a total fanboy.
and Danny kinda gets how he became like this. how his isolation and loneliness and fear drove him further and further down the road of corruptness and evil. Danny learns what he would become without his friends and if anything Vlad is better than that. it's almost similar to how he is with val. he understands where she's coming from and sees that she's a good person even if her actions have taken a turn in the wrong direction. he feels the same about Vlad. he thinks maybe he can convince Vlad to be better.
so redemption arc/reverse mentor relationship because danny is gonna be trying to teach Vlad how to stop being a fruit loop and start making some friends his own age. the comedy potential of that is amazing. i have the mental image of Danny convincing vlad to go on a date with Harriet Chin and coaching him from behind her even though he has next to no dating experience either. pure shenanigans.
i also see there being several back and forth instances of kidnapping. Vlad locks Danny in his house because he doesn't want to be alone (Danny eventually escapes and gets mad. Vlad learns never to do that again). Danny kidnaps Vlad to be a chaperone at a school event, mostly to get Vlad to lie for him. another time Vlad kidnaps danny to go to a rich person party because he said he had a kid in a pathetic attempt to make a friend (moral of the episode is lying to make friends doesn't work) so he just has Danny pose as his son that whole episode and they're trying to get along and seem happy, meanwhile snipping at each other in whispers. they think no one is buying that they're related but ironically them arguing at the end of the night is one convinces the person they're family. "me and my daughter would fight all the time, especially at events she didn't want to come to." probably muddies the moral but that's common enough in dp.
just gradually develops into a weird redeemed uncle/mentor dynamic. Vlad really isn't teaching Danny much. he still occasionally has his moments to shine with explaining new powers and showing danny how to commit tax fraud or lie to the police. but he's mostly just this weird guy who's first friend in twenty years is a teenager.

My Danny Phantom Reboot (as was owed for the Phight)
Okay, so first off I should mention that this is going to be less “what if someone made a reboot of Danny Phantom now” and more “what if Danny Phantom was done right to start with.” This means there’ll be more emphasis on storytelling and characters, none of H*rtm*n’s usual shenanigans, but the storyline as it was is going to be more-or-less intact, depending on what I think I can salvage.
So, let’s talk powers.
Danny is going to have all the powers he did in the show, given gradually and with clear foreshadowing. His ghost sense is currently just a bit too conspicuous, so I’ll be changing it from a wisp of cold breath to a chill up his spine, though for the sake of the audience there will be a visual and audio indicator of it, much like Spider-Man’s spider sense. Starting out, he just has that and the three basic ghost powers, though they won’t work properly for a while, and I’ll make it clear that this is because his half-ghost status prevented him from gaining the instinctual knowledge to control them outright. While there are some abilities that he gains during times of stress (like ectoblasts and the ghostly wail) he’ll have to actually practice in order for them to work with any level of consistency.
Like I mentioned, there will be some foreshadowing, specifically when it comes to his ice powers. There’s going to be multiple points where someone mentions that he has cold hands, with many of those people being ghosts to imply that it isn’t a ghost thing. There’ll be more emphasis on Ghost Cores and Core Types. Danny isn’t going to be as affected by warmer or colder temperatures as other people, usually being the last one to need to put on a jacket. He’s going to be somewhat weak to fire-based attacks. And there’s going to be a multi-episode buildup to his powers freezing him.
I’m also going all-in on the space motif. His bedroom is covered in star stickers and NASA posters. He tends to look up at the stars whenever he needs time to think. He isn’t afraid of heights at all because up is good, up is safe, up is home, and flight is the only power he never has trouble with as a result.
And now, for Danny’s parents. First off, for this, they do not want to destroy ghosts. They want to study them, understand them, and keep people safe from the ones that cause trouble. They know full well how little they actually know and how small their sample size is- that’s why they’re working on equipment to actually explore the Ghost Zone in the first place! Yes they’ll screw up, and jump to conclusions, and be a bit too enthusiastic. Yes, they’re working off of some pretty big assumptions, because that’s all they’ve got. But at the end of the day, they’re the first to admit they’re not perfect. And as far as priorities are concerned, they’re parents first, scientists second, and hunters third(if even that).
Jazz and Tucker are already good as-is, as are most of the ghosts, so let’s move on to Sam and the “A-listers.”
So starting off, because I’m not Fartman, I will not be vilifying the popular kids just because they’re popular. For Qwan, we’ve already got the fanon of him being a sweet cinnamon roll who’d be a great friend to everybody if he were just able to say no, specifically to Dash. And with Star I’ll be going with a strong-willed girl who’s fully willing to call the others out when they’re bullshit goes to far, though she’s admittedly got a looser definition of “too far” than she should.
And now the big three. So my interpretation of Sam, Dash and Paulina is that a big chunk of their issues come from them not quite growing out of their jackass middle schooler phase(you all know what I mean). That’s not all of it, or even most of it, but it’s a big enough part that them acknowledging it will be a huge step in the right direction.
In Sam’s case, a lot of it also stems from her need to control as much of her life as she can, which developed in response to how little control her parents let her have. This ranges from harmless (her love of gardening and “ultra-recyclo-vegetarianism”) to really not okay (her tendency to manipulate or strong-arm people into doing what she wants) with her harsh judgement of people and trust issues landing somewhere in the upper middle. All of this to say that she’s a lot more like her parents (and Paulina, to a lesser extent) than she realizes.
With Paulina, while she does still have a lot of problems, being a crazy, obsessive fangirl isn’t one of them. She knows full well that her feelings for Phantom are just a celebrity crush and they aren’t about to get together any time soon (the boy’s dead as far as she knows, for god’s sake!). She’s also very observant, not to the point of finding out the truth about Danny but enough to realize quite a few other important details…
With Dash, all I’m really going to be changing is that his Football Star status absolutely does not give him free reign to do whatever he wants, because I respect Mr. Lancer more than that.
Admittedly I haven’t quite figured out their other classmates yet. And Valerie’s arc is already good as-is, though I won’t be including her getting shunned by the “A-listers” because this version of Star ain’t gonna let that fly. I’m also including Wes, because his antics are glorious and I think I can do some cool stuff with him.
Now, along with giving the characters better characterization in general, I’ll also be giving them their own time in the limelight to show what Danny’s situation looks like from an outsider’s perspective. Valerie in particular ends up as something of a secondary protagonist.
And now we come to Vlad. Oh, Vlad.
Okay, so in this version, Vlad inviting the Fentons to the reunion was a genuine attempt to reconnect. Unfortunately ghostly obsessions are powerful things, and he sort of relapsed into hating Jack and wanting Maddie for himself. Things more-or-less continue as normal, though with his desire to take on Danny as an apprentice coming off as him actually, genuinely wanting to teach Danny how being a halfa works, which makes it a little comically awkward when he tries to turn their battles into a teaching moment. He still becomes the mayor, though this time around it’s because he genuinely thought it was a good idea, and he got voted in legitimately.
Unfortunately it all sort of goes downhill after a while. Due to his current mentality of “tired old uncle just wants to get over his issues and help out” clashing with his obsession with Jack and Maddie, he’s sort of cracking, and the fact that Danny adds an extra layer to both isn’t really a good thing.
And then we get the clones. In this version, they all last a lot longer, and sort of act as Vlad’s minions for a while. The Frankenstein’s Monster-esque one sort of acts as a big brother to the others. He’s also very smart, even if he can’t really say much, and as time goes on he starts to realize that something is very wrong with Vlad. It all comes to a head when Dani is created, because Vlad realizes that even with a human half she still isn’t stable and something inside him just snaps. At this moment, there’s now two Vlads in there; Masters, who’s honestly just tired of all the fighting and pushing people away, and Plasmius, who’s essentially season three Vlad in all of his megalomaniacle obsession-fueled glory. Frankendanny’s destabilization is a big moment in this, as are the other clones holding back Vlad as they’re melting so Danny and Dani can escape at the end of the episode.
Dani still ends up traveling after that, though she’s not just ignored as she’ll be sending Danny postcards of places she’s been and there’ll be a few episodes dedicated to her adventures (with some hints to her instability getting worse.)
D-stabilized is where thing get really crazy. This is because while I’ve been distracting you with my Danny Phantom remake, there’s been a secret, second remake of Fairly Oddparents hidden in the background! I won’t go into too much detail, since that’s not what this is about, but It follows the same structure of apply overarching story, focus on characters, trim off what doesn’t work. Because of this, Timmy happens to be in the same city where Valerie finds Dani (I don’t think they were in Amity Park yet, but I’m not sure) and meets Dani before Valerie does. The episode plays out more-or-less the same (Val uses Dani as bait to catch Danny, gives Dani to Vlad, Danny appeals to her better nature, she finds out that Vlad is an evil half-ghost and that not all ghosts are evil thus shattering her world view) but with the addition of Timmy tracking her down to her weird holding cell/torture room place (seriously, what was up with that?) and then tagging along and somehow holding his own against Fright Knight with nothing but a blaster he managed to swipe from her (since not only does he have to deal with having human allies, but also the fact that magic doesn’t work that well on ghosts, which means no fairy help).
After that, there’s a few breather episodes to the end of the third season, mainly to do with Valerie processing everything she’s just learned.
And then Freakshow gets the reality gauntlet, because I’ve been holding that off until now. Danny gets his identity revealed on live television, the Guys in White are after him, and Freakshow is holding Amity Park hostage until Danny can find the three stones he scattered.
There’s just a few small changes I’ve made:
The stones got scattered across the planet, instead of just the country
There’s no easy way to track the stones unless one gets activated, unlike in the original where they had ecto-signatures
Wes and the “A-Listers” get dragged along for the ride
Because Freakshow isn’t a complete idiot and realizes that it will take a significant amount of time to find the stones, the team has until the end of summer.
Instead of everybody being in cages (since that won’t really work with this time frame) Amity Park is surrounded by an impenetrable dome, and both ghost portals are clogged up. Nobody gets in or out unless the ringmaster says so.
The second and third parts of Wishology and an adaptation of Nicktoons Unite are happening alongside all of this, so along with GIW and ghosts the team is going to be dealing with the Eliminators and The Syndicate.
Carl, Sheen and Libby have somehow tagged along.
We’ll be calling this arc the Road-trip from Hell, and it, along with the other two story arcs, will be taking up the entirety of the fourth season. The other two arcs will experience changes as well, such as Dani going with Timmy, Mark Chang and the Villains to find the Wind Wand due to being in Dimmsdale when it happens, Catman, Chip Skylark, Elmer and Sanjay getting captured along with the rest of Timmy’s friends, Valerie and Tootie getting recruited by Jimmy to fight the Syndicate since Timmy and Danny are busy and they’re honestly the only two options, and Anti-Cosmo being the Fairly Oddparents representative for the Syndicate since Crocker is also busy.
For the sake of storytelling, I should mention that GIW is a fanatical splinter group of MERF in this continuity, and have already been established as major antagonists. Also throughout the season Fairy World is basically going to be a warzone locked in a three-way battle between the Fairies, the Anti-Fairies and Syndicate, and the Eliminators, which all three groups see at one point or another.
The final battle is really going to be four going on simultaneously- Danny and Team Phantom(which by this point will also include the reformed agents O and K, because I like them) vs Ghost Freakshow, the robot army just outside of town, and Lydia; the Nicktoons vs the Syndicate’s doomsday device; Cosmo in his Godzilla form vs everything the Syndicate and the Eliminators can throw at him, and Timmy vs The Destructinator (which will actually be a full-on fight, with the outsmarting thing just being Timmy’s trump card). It’s going to be really cool with a bunch of well-timed jump-cuts and everything.
Then in the aftermath I’m going to basically spit in the face of the status quo. Danny still erases peoples memories of his reveal, but leaves out the new members of Team Phantom (because if he has to remember the road-trip from hell, so does everybody else), and it also doesn’t work on Valerie (or Tootie) since they were in Jimmy’s universe at the time, which is going to be Fun for Danny to deal with when she gets back. Timmy, Chester and AJ are also immune, due to AJ secretly making the three of them immune to memory wipes in general so Timmy wouldn’t have to forget his fairies or go through what happened in the first Wishology again. He would’ve done the same with Elmer and Sanjay, but he didn’t get the chance.
After all that, season five is a return to the norm, other than dealing with the new character dynamics, the Vlad situation, and all the Fairly Oddparents stuff leaking in. I haven’t really worked out all the specifics, since I sort of got caught up in the season four stuff.
Note: For obvious reasons, I cannot actually reboot Danny Phantom and/or Fairly Oddparents. Unless I come up with ideas later on down the line, or other people decide to add their own ideas, this is what you get.
(@phandomphightclub, I did it!)

Phantom Family Au
Or Single Dad Jack Au
So remember when Danny went back in time and instead of Vlad getting ghost powers, Jack gets them instead?
What if that actually happened? Jack becomes a halfa and loses all contact with his college friends. (Mainly because Vlad is an asshole who alienated Maddie from Jack)
Jack continues his work trying to figure his ghostly side and if he can get rid of it. He somewhat becomes a hermit. Then one day , WOOPS, Jack accidentally saves some kids from an evil ghost. Now we all know Jack is a big softie, and he's always wanted kids of his own. The children are grateful and take quite a liking to Jack. Jack Fenton becomes Jack Phantom.
After that Jack keeps a low profile. He tells everyone he's a scientist but won't say what area he studies.
Not long after Jack begins to feel a longing he hasn't let himself feel in years. He knows it isn't right, but he finds himself desperately wanting children, almost obsessed with it. So Jack creates an invention that uses two separate people's DNA and creates a child. The only female DNA he has though is Maddie's, an old hair brush she left in his dorm by accident all those years ago.
With the mixture of the two DNAs Jack successfully creates his first child, Jasmine Fenton. Two years after he tries again and creates his son, Daniel Fenton.
When asked why the children have no mother Jack explains he used a surrogate for both children.
Jack absolutely adores his two children, there was just one thing he didn't take into account. The children inherited some of his ghost powers.
The first time it became noticeable Jazz was ten and Danny was eight. Jack was making breakfeast when he turned around only to be greeted by the sight of Jazz five feet off the ground and Danny half way through the floor.
That was the day Jack had his first serious talk with the children. The kids thought was cool, their dad was the town superhero! They also found out about their mom. They're not sure how to feel about that or about "uncle" Vlad.
Jack noticed after that the kids developed more and more powers as they got older. Danny even got ice powers that Jack didn't have.
Things took a big turn when the kids hit puberty.
Whille never developing a ghostly form, Jazz's powers took full throttle in her mind. A telepath who could remember every single detail in her life. Danny could never win arguments.
Danny on the other hand DID develop a ghostly form, and the first time it happened was right in front of his best friends, leaving two more on the Phantom family secret. Almost every power Jack had, Danny had, and then even more. Jack suspects it's because Danny was born with his powers and they developed with him unlike Jack who got them in his college years.
Jack wants to be surprised when his kids and Danny's friends start hunting ghosts, but he's not. And to be honest he couldn't be prouder, but he does have rules.
No ghost hunting after 10 on school nights. Anything after curfew is to be handled by Jack. Very few exceptions.
School comes first. If you are having trouble then you are to get help. No exceptions, at all.
Until more experienced all ghost hunting MUST be done in groups of at least two people.
Be wary of new ghosts. Though there are some allies like Clockwork, new ghosts tend to ve unpredictable.
No reckless, or dangerous strategies. Everyone is to come home alive. This is Jack's strictest rule.
With the rules in place Jack is now the proud daddy of four.
Danny and Jazz bond with Jack each training session. Tucker bonds with Jack helping fine tune inventions and even comes up with some of his own. Sam's love of plants has Jack teaching her how to make (non lethal) posions and antidotes that affect ghosts.
Over time Jack learns that life throws the unexpected at you, and it's important to move forward with it. Jack may not have gotten the girl in college, and yeah he could still say he loves her, but he wouldn't trade his little family or current life for nothing. In some ways, Jack is grateful for the accident.
Then the college reunion happens.
Holy crap, if you read this far congrats to you. I'm actually getting a lot of ideas for this and may flush this out more. If anyone has ideas I would lovd to hear them!

Hello all, I have a new AU for you. It’s about the Unworld!
Yep, that’s right. I already have an AU in the works. I’ll give you all the rundown and you can ask questions as you please I guess.
(This AU also gives Jazz a bit more attention than most, but don’t worry. Danny is still the central character.)
In his recent “tour of the Ghost Zone” video (find it here), Butch Hartman told us that if there are calculation errors made during the creation of a Ghost Portal, the creator(s) will instead be trapped inside the Unworld. It’s a cool and creepy concept, but when I saw it the first thing i thought of was Masters of all Time, were Maddie herself says, and I quote:
“Jack? These calculations aren’t right.”
Now, the automatic assumption would be that I made Vlad a half-unworldly being, but not at all! In this AU, the portal was gathering volatile ectoplasm, which is what blasted Vlad in the face, before collapsing into an Unworldly Portal. The three college students and a bunch of the lab’s equipment are all sucked through the portal, which abruptly closes behind them.
Butch also says that no ghost powers or human abilities work in the Unworld. From this I assume that the energy that exists inside the Unworld (or makes up the dimension like ectoplasm makes up the GZ) cancels out ectoplasmic properties, but doesn’t give humans any advantages either. Luckily for Vlad, this means the tainted ectoplasm in his bloodstream is suppressed and he doesn’t show signs of powers OR ecto-acne. This also gives his body the chance to get used to ectoplasm being there instead of prompting a horrible physical reaction.
While the three of them are trapped in the Unworld, gathering resources to try to construct a place to live and a portal home, they have a lot of time to talk about their feelings and such. Vlad is never abandoned, and eventually he comes to terms with the fact that Jack and Maddie are a loyal and loving couple.
Things get a bit more complicated when Jack and Maddie have children.
Their first child, Jazz, seems to be normal in every way. She’s smarter than average and seems to be a little too good at reading her parents and “uncle”, but otherwise nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. It’s later discovered that she’s developed psychic abilities.
Danny, the second native born Unworldly being, is a different story. He shows powers starting from when he’s only a year old, floating through the air and giggling all the while. His powers are darker than canon, having come from a darker dimension, but they’re still flashy. I’m considering abilities like controlling shadows (along with his ice powers) but I’m not sure yet.
The two of them have powers because they were both literally conceived and developed while being completely saturated in the energy of the Unworld. It’s not human or ghostly, so there’s nothing stopping them from using the abilities.
(Anyone want suggest powers for either of them? Shoot me an ask.)
The adults can’t do much of anything to help with the kids’ abilities other than monitor any changes and keep track of how the powers work. What they CAN do is teach the “demon” kiddos everything they know. None of the three adults is about to let their family grow up without any education, after all.
Life is... interesting, but overall good for the Fentons, their demon children, and Vlad. When they finally create a portal to go back to the human world, though, everything changes.
14-year-old Danny and 16-year-old Jazz are exposed to the rest of human society for the first time ever, and are understandably terrified and curious in equal measures.
At the same time, Vlad is suddenly experiencing supernatural powers of his own...
Question? Suggestion? Writing request? Some other reason to talk to me? My ask box is literally always open. Have at it.
