Alzheimer’s Imagine Benefit Exceeds Expectations
The Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, held its annual gala on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with cocktails beginning at 6 p.m. at the Jazz at Lincoln Center. Formed in 1980 by Jerome Stone, the Alzheimer’s Association has raised over $80 million to date.
--------
The 250-person sold-out evening, attended by 250 people and costing $1,500 per ticket, was one of the most enjoyable of the year, featuring delectable food, a plethora of entertainment, and a meaningful program. Emcee Laurie Hernandez, a two-time Olympic medalist, and Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Champion, introduced Ballet Hispanico, singers R.Q, Tek, Darren Criss, and Colton Ryan, and musicians Evan Drachman and Wan-Chi Su, who all made the evening a smash success.

something i find extremely beautiful in Alice by Heart is the last song. In winter blooms, the last line is sung by alice, and shes holding a piece of the book. She says "down the hole you go, and there you are."
Its an invitation. It's an invitation to heal. Alice has healed herself and now she has the capability to help others do the same. In this moment, it transends the story. It breaks the fourth way to tell you, the audience, to do as alice has done, go into your mind and see it not as an enemy, but as a friend. Find your own hole to go down, but don't get too wrapped up in it that you forget to live. Go down the holes and the hallowed halls of your mind and heal.
This is why i love this musical.

Is anyone else's brain convinced that two complitely different people are in fact the same person? Or is it just me?
Like for example:
I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that this Dude
(Cody Christian, actor. Played Theo in Teen Wolf)
And THIS dude
(Colton Ryan, Theater guy. Played Alfred in Alice By Heart and he's the lead of New York New York the musical)
Are complitely different people.
Like, everytime I listen to Alice By Heart my mind immediately goes OH YEAH TIME TO READ THEO FAN FICTIONS.
EVERY FUCKING TIME
WHAT
WHYYYY
CODY CHRISTIAN IS NOT A BROADWAY STAR YOU MORON OF A BRAIN
