Honestly?? I think they wouldn't stop 🤣 I plan to write them always trying to one-up each other with showing affection.

"You kiss my cheek? I kiss both of yours. You nuzzle my face? I am continuing to nuzzle your face. I don't care if my hair is tickling you, you're getting nuzzled. No, you don't get to giggle and squirm away." They do this until they're exhausted.

Or at the very least they will remember, "Okay you gave me a kiss in the orchard, therefore I will give you some kisses later."

It's not like they don't LIKE receiving affection, they're just competitive and always want to be the one to get the last smooch/nuzzle/hug/cuddle/pampering/etc.

Rundown of the altar: my statues of Zeus and Hera on a golden plinth, standing in front of my "wedding portrait" (done by the INCREDIBLE @coloricioso). The incense is lotus oil. To the right are flowers in the flame colors associated with brides (and priestesses of Juno) in my Wifey water bottle from my wedding. To the left is a replica hydria depicting Zeus and holding peacock feathers, which my husband gave me for our household altar. In front is an altar box where I keep random love notes my husband gives me, also holding my wedding jewelry. The whole thing is scattered in lotus petals and olive leaves which I am definitely not going to sweep up and make into a tea out of curiosity.

My husband joined me under my veil to drink a toast to the anniversary couple 🥰

NICKNAME: Hawke, of course - the firstborn can take dibs on the family surname. And then Gideon, since 1. that's how most people misspell his actual name and 2. Varric uses it in his stories (it's “more suited for the hero”). He doesn't mind.

GENDER: Male, although he takes it easy. In a modern AU he would be the Hakwe sibling most likely to experiment with gender presentation - and in every universe he just knows he'd look good in a dress/corset.

I unfortunately don't understand Spanish, so I haven't been able to read her Persephone book, but I have enjoyed the translated snippets and comic strips on her blog. It's very well researched and one of those few retellings that doesn’t demonize Demeter.

Hello again, I'm here and I find your blog interesting, I wrote asking about that Au where Hector is not with Andromache. And today I wanted to talk about a couple of things: 1. I find it incredible that there is material from Troy when the movie is even rarer than some good Lord of the Rings story, and no one who is relatively young remembers it... And no one write for Troy. Maybe it's that there isn't enough audience or the internet is simply too extensive. 2. Do you recommend? (And I understand if you don't) Some profile on an app or website where they write stories about the Trojan War. 3. Have you heard or read about that matter that Hector is the son of Apollo and therefore a half-blood? A group of friends and I talked about it and we couldn't find what myth that reference is in. It may have been an impression due to Apollo's role protecting him all the time.

By the way, writing a coherent story in English is totally admirable because since it is not the mother lenguage, I notice that not everything sounds as harmonious and familiar as Cien años de soledad, Gabriel García Márquez.

Thank you for the kind words, regarding your topics I have a few things to say:

1- Yes, Troy as the film is a niche fandom.

The movie turns 20 years old this year and it massively dissapeared from public conciousness. Younger generations mostly have it as the " haha cousins! " meme. ( Fun fact: Achilles and Patroclus were actually cousins, but so were Hermione and Orestes and those two ended up married. Them being cousins is an accurate fact regardless of what route they took for their relationship in the adaptation.)

It's innacurate as fuck, but I grew up to it and it holds a special place in my heart.

That being said, the people who enjoy it that I found here are amazing so I have nothing to complain. Fandom is small, but tons of love, and from time to time I get the joy of finding out new people discovering the movie. Doesn't happen often, but it's always nice.

I get some comments on my fics, people interact with me quite frequently. In fact, I have received some heartwarming messages of people telling me how much they love my writing. I have been asked things about my fics, allowed to ramble in responses about my writing and characterizations, etc.

So, yeah, fandom is small, but I'm inmensely gratefull it's there.

2- Fic recs for trojan war

The place to go if you want myth accurate, complex and beautifully written stuff is mostly AO3. There you can find all kinds of fics: character studies, oneshots following events, pairing fics, etc.

Usually I search for character depending on what I want to read. You gotta move carefull and use filters to avoid stumbling with weird stuff. I don't remember any particular profiles on AO3, but I have vague memories of finding quality stuff there.

Regarding tumblr blogs for myth accurate content, I can recommend @littlesparklight ( specially for Paris, or the trojans in general, but I insist excellent works on Paris ) and @coloricioso ( her dedication to myth Agamemnon is impressive, there is all you need to know about how he actually was in the greek stories)

Note: If you are interested in watching a film with a more accurate approach on the story, I have recently found on youtube and watched the movie Iphigenia (1977). Director and actors are greek and it's available in that link with english subtitles.

3- I had no Idea that was a thing. I do have read the bassics and know of Apollo's part protecting Hector, but didn't know there was a version where he was his dad.

I can't believe I never posted my wedding portrait! I found it sitting in my drafts on my main blog.

The spectacular (both as a person and an artist) @coloricioso did this commission for me for my wedding anniversary. I wanted my husband and me dressed up like a Greek bride and groom - with some stylistic liberties because I'm extra as fuck. Look at Zeus and Hera in the background 🥰 I love Them so much.

Persephone being the goddess of spring is NOT a misconception

There are hymns written about her in which they pray to her to bring fruits, here's one example:

"[Persephone] associate of the Horai (Seasons), essence bright, all-ruling virgin, bearing heavenly light. With fruits abounding, of a bounteous mind, horned, and alone desired by those of mortal kind. O vernal queen, whom grassy plains delight, sweet to the smell, and pleasing to the sight: whose holy form in budding fruits we view, earth's vigorous offspring of a various hue . . . Hear, blessed Goddess, send a rich increase of various fruits from earth."

Orphic Hymn 29 to Persephone (trans. Taylor) (Greek hymns C3rd B.C. to 2nd A.D.) :

She has epithets and titles relating to her role as the goddess of spring, such as: Καρποφοροσ (Karpophoros: Bringer of Fruit). She's also called "Associate of the Horai" and the Horai are goddesses of the seasons.

And of course, the most important of them all, SHE WAS WORSHIPPED AS THE GODDESS OF SPRING!!!

Now, some of you are probably looking at this post and are thinking "what the fuck is the point of this post? Everyone knows she's the goddess of spring, wtf," but you'd be surprised that there are people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE that Persephone is not the goddess of spring, even big channels such as Overly Sarcastic Production and Jake Doubleyoo have made this mistake, and listen, I LOVE both channels, but if you got ONE THING wrong with something/someone such as Persephone that'll make me lose my trust in your research and start doubting it.

There's literally no excuse for not doing enough research on topics such as greek mythology, especially in this day and age, since we have Theoi.com (which is one of the resources that Jake uses from which I got my information from, so how did we end up here Jake?) Jstor, Qoura, books, ect, heck, even Tumblr and Reddit are good resources for topics such as greek mythology since there are actually experts on it (although they might be a little hard to find, but I recommend coloricioso to make it easier for you).

So, yeah, that's my rant, I hope you learned something, and uhhhh, I'm gonna end it here, have a good day/night!

Also, please don't go and harass these creators, I didn't make this post as an excuse to harass them or any ill and malicious intent, I'm just a dumb 17yo turning 18 who's just loves greek mythology. I made this post just to prevent the spreading of misinformation and misconception that's all, so PLEASE don't harass them in any shape or form, please and thank you.
