It was that time of year again for Alastor. A few months of absolute physical and mental torture—which, considering he lived in Hell, maybe that was how Heaven finally managed to torment him for eternity. It never took a genius to figure out what put Alastor in such an odd state.

He was a deer.

Deer go into rut.

It was incredibly embarrassing, to say the least, especially for him when the rut was over. However, for his “mate,” who faced the brunt end of his seasonal affections, you didn’t mind in the slightest. In fact, it was probably your favorite three months of the year.

You were currently lounging in the hotel lobby, chatting with Angel Dust about a bar he was interested in going to. You had one leg thrown up over the other, clad in a dark red outfit that had been “mysteriously” placed on the edge of your bed when you woke up—you knew who the culprit was as soon as you saw Alastor a few minutes later in a suspiciously similar outfit of the same color scheme.

He had been sitting next to you for a while, making small, nearly unnoticeable bids for attention as you tried to focus on Angel’s words. A pressure on your knee with his own, a light graze of his fingers through your hair as he lifted his hand to adjust his monocle… to anybody else, the contact would’ve seemed only coincidental; however, to you, it was obvious considering the great care he always took to mind his personal space.

A brief glance out of the corner of your eye confirmed your suspicions. You couldn’t help but lightly grin at the tense grin on his face and the growing expression of frustration as you continued to keep your attention on Angel.

“–so, that being said, I wanted ta invite’cha out with me! And Cherri’ll be there too,” Your eyes turned back towards the spider. You could nearly feel the tenseness in Alastor’s shoulders heighten, and that radio frequency of his tuning up ever so slightly, but still noticeable.

“That bar is no place for my lady,” Alastor responded in a snap before you could even open your mouth. You whipped your head in his direction with a frown.

“She isn’t your anything, Smiles,” Angel shot back, also interrupting your own attempt at defending yourself.

It was almost comical, the way your head twisted back and forth with each remark the two made at each other. The tension was rising quickly, and you were getting more agitated with how many times you got cut off from saying a single word.

You were distracted from your own mental anguish when Alastor abruptly stood, hand gripping his cane with more force than usual. There was a dangerous look in his red eyes as he grinned down at Angel.

“She is mine,” Alastor stated with finality. “And what’s mine stays with me.” He reached down and gripped your hand, tugging you up with him. As angry as he seemed he was still gentle with you, at least.

You’d be lying if you didn’t find the possessiveness attractive. Heck, it would probably be impossible to date the Radio Demon if you didn’t want to be obsessed over and practically owned. You were only slightly embarrassed at the heat on your cheeks when you felt the almost desperate grip of his on your hand, to which Angel pointed at with a defeated “what the hell.”

He basically dragged you away from the situation, ears slightly pressed back. He refused to look at you as you caught up to his steps and walked beside him. He didn’t have to look at you, though, because you already knew the turmoil that was going through his head.

“Don’t be so embarrassed,” You tried to comfort as he opened the door to your shared bedroom. “I think it’s very becoming of a gentleman to protect his property.” You enjoyed the way his eyes glittered with pride when you referred to yourself in such a manner. You didn’t truly consider yourself property, of course, but you simply enjoyed seeing that look in his eyes and the way his chest involuntarily puffed up.

What a different being Alastor was during his rut. More expression than ever with the way his affections and frustrations were so visible in his body language. He pulled you closer to him, squeezing you against his body as he let the two of you fall into the bed. You lifted yourself off of his chest with an elbow and looked down at him.

He met your gaze with his own wide, needy eyes and quivering smile. To put it simply, he looked… pitiful. Endearing. You loved it. He hated it. You knew if anybody saw him in this state he would go on the attack immediately without a single thought. You briefly glanced back to make sure the door had been locked. Just in case.

You smiled at him and peppered kisses on his chest and up, finally nuzzling your head into the crook of his neck. He sighed pleasantly at your motions, swooping his arms up to position you on your side in front of him, wrapping himself protectively around your body.

“I crave you, my love,” He stated in an incredibly forward way. His voice lacked the typical radio effect as he spoke, and you realized your skin was also not prickling with the sensation that usually accompanied his presence. You responded by layering your hands over his own, which was resting comfortably against your waist. “I never want you out in such a… dirty place with that overly sexual spider.”

“I know, Al,” You said with a sigh. “Too many ‘hungry eyes’, you’ve told me this.”

He remained quiet, and you could barely feel the way your hair flicked every time he exhaled against the top of your head.

You also remained quiet, opting to just enjoy the moment. These three months went by so, so fast, so you didn’t want to waste time speaking and bickering over meaningless things. You didn’t care to go to bars, anyway; you weren’t much of a drinker. You also hoped to get Alastor’s mind off of his disdain for Angel. While you trusted him to know better to attack one of your friends—more importantly one of Charlie’s friends—you didn’t want to take any chances. He was somehow even more unpredictable during his rut.

You leaned your head back, tilting up slightly to meet Alastor’s gaze. He placed a feather-light kiss against your forehead in response.

He was in for a long three months, but you were going to enjoy every second of it.

“Y/l/n! Hey! Y/l/n!,” you were being beckoned. After turning to see the caller, you were surprised to see one Theodore Nott lightly jogging to catch up with you. You slowed down your walking so he could catch up and walk beside you to your next class, that you coincidentally had together.

“Everything okay, Theo?” You were genuinely curious. While you and Theo didn’t have any problems outright, you really didn’t talk to each other outside of class. Some would chalk it up to you being in Hufflepuff and him being not only in Slytherin but one of the Slytherin boys, but really you two just didn’t have a reason to hang out.

At least, that’s what you thought. Theo scratched the back of his neck lightly, seemingly searching for the right words. “So, I’ve kind of been struggling in Herbology lately,” Theo looked at you with a shy smile.

“Really? I hadn’t really taken notice,” you were lying. Theo was horrible at herbology, somehow always breaking pots even on the simplest of tasks.

Theo smirked at you slightly, “Yeah? Well I also haven’t taken notice of how awful you are at potions.” You took a whack at his arm causing him to giggle, “I’m just suggesting that maybe…we help each other out.”

You were a little skeptical, “Why would you want to do that?” You missed the way Theo blushed, stuttering slightly to find a good enough answer, “Just because I’m Slytherin doesn’t mean I’m all bad, I can want to be helpful too. Besides, you’re helping me just as much, hopefully anyway.”

It was your turn to blush now, feeling slightly embarrassed at making assumptions, “Okay.”

Theo’s smile grew two times, “Okay like you’ll help me?” You nodded, stopping short of the potions classroom door, “I’ll help you, Theo. Meet me in the library tomorrow after classes.”

So meet you he did. Theo met you in the library every other day for two weeks, then it became daily, and you found yourself growing fonder and fonder of him. You found it cute how well he paid attention to you when you tutored him, like you were the only person in the library and he was hanging on every word.

That’s because to Theo you were the only person, or at least the only person that mattered. He fancied you when he first asked you to tutor him, in truth he could’ve just asked Enzo, it would’ve been easier. But this way, he got to spend nearly every day with you without anyone else questioning it.

And with those days he found him noticing more and more things he liked about you. Like the way your tongue would stick out ever so slightly when you were concentrating, or the way you picked at the feathers of your quill when you were trying to intently listen, often causing him to stumble over his words.

He fancied you before, but now; now he thought he might love you. But that was okay, because you were pretty sure you were falling for him too.

Golfy is literally one of my favorite cats of all time and I adore the way you’ve characterized her!! Any fun tidbits to share? I want to know more about the woman

There's a sketch of her floating around if you want to go on a treasure hunt! I don't have time to look for it right now (I am currently in the trunk of a clown car), but I've actually drawn a beta of her design and her big mane

Also note: BB!Goldenflower is part of the Doekin line. Speckletail's perception of herself and her family is tied strongly to being Doestar's niece. This association dies out with Thornclaw in BB!OotS as he's the last one to strongly value this legacy.

Golfy's mane is so poofy, unmanageabley poofy. She keeps it braided

Lionheart just surrendered to entrophy on that one lmao. "Dirt happens."

It's my little way of trying to show the difference between the siblings.

They're both proud and honorable, but Lionheart is more calm and patient. He's a Que Sera Sera kind of guy.

Goldenflower is more fond of the expression, "Fortune favors the prepared."

Note to self: Clanmewnize these expressions. Que Sera Sera is notably quite RiverClannish... Golfy's phrase is definitely from early ThunderClan

Not to get too distracted but I recently got this FANTASTIC idea for how to close out Book 3 of BB!DOTC on a bittersweet note, involving The First Boarhunt and Clear Sky being delightfully devious as always. Maybe it would be cool to put that phrase there... anyway.

She had three siblings total, Lionheart, Mistleclaw, and Snowkit. It's really difficult being the last one; family was extremely important to her.

Mistleclaw wasn't even a year out of apprenticeship; you're really considered an ADULT adult after being on your own for a year. Losing her was like losing a sibling who's college-aged. That was to the plague, before Firestar's arrival.

Smallear was openly the father of all four of them, but Goldenflower hesitates to call him Ba. Him and Speckletail had a really toxic on-again off-again thing.

Smallear was closest to Mistleclaw, who coincidentally looked the most like him. Goldenflower is like... "yeah thats what i expected of him, that fish-eared loser"

She's biased in favor of her mother though. Lionheart was more chill with Smallear; not CLOSE but, neutral-positive.

It wasn't entirely Smallear's fault that the relationship kept falling apart though, to be clear. I use toxic in this use very much on purpose, it wasn't abuse, they really cannot get along.

So when Goldenflower eventually picked a mate, she REALLY just wanted a stable lifepartner that would not be like that.

I would describe her relationship with Tigerclaw more in the terms of an "arrangement." Fishing for romantic information from her is VERY funny because she just like. Doesn't "get" romance.

Brambleclaw: "Mom... what did you... like about dad?"

"He was large, we were both very large. And he was a responsible warrior, respected and ambitious. Well... at the time we believed that. And he spoke with great confidence. He had a way of making you feel like you were both safe and powerful by his side."

It will not even click for her that most people don't open the answer to "why did you love x" with "he was tall like me"

She wanted kits and a partner. She doesn't regret the relationship, she regrets what he made her believe.

On Tigerclaw's end, it was mutual. They both liked each other as trusted Clanmates. He was attracted to her and reciprocated when she proposed a mateship, but I don't think he ever really got over Spottedleaf romantically.

Plus, getting into this family was a smart political move. Having Speckletail's approval was VERY useful.

I might stick Goldenflower as Head of Hunting through TNP to early Po3, until she trains a successor, since there's no rush. I have an allegiance list floating around but I can't remember off the top of my head if she's where she should be

She's actually super disappointed in Tawnypelt for her choice. I don't think they ever reconcile this, they're both too proud

So she's kinda iffy on that alliance with ShadowClan. Not to the point of spite, but she does easily believe stereotypes about them.

"A bunch of holdouts of TigerClan and duplicitous fiends over there."

Both Golfy and Tawnp miss each other a lot, but again. Neither one is going to apologize to the other or say the other was even slightly correct.

And Golfy wouldn't accept it if Tawnp even did. She made her choice. They're in different Clans now. She chose her father, who killed Swiftpaw and Lionheart.

And for that, Golfy will not forgive her.

If they ended up in a battle, neither would hold back. They both know this.

I'm really fond of her. She really is Speckletail's daughter and the whole family has a special flavor of pain and pride.

Brigitta also hasnt really played big roles in the longer stories set in the main continuity so like thats super cool as well. Last time i can remember was in the Ziche comic where she just does chaos with (coincidentally also) Magica. (Or what if it isnt a coincidence? What ifbtheyre teaisng MagicaXBrigitta WHATIF no i know theyre mot but i would like tyem to)

Also this gives me ‘The wedding of Scrooge McDuck’ vibes. They better make a reference to Massimo De Vita or else i will be veryupset

Chapter thirty-one: our couple aregyu 🩵🧡

⎙ synopsis: In which you and Soobin have a crush on the others bff, who which coincidentally, are dating. So you do what any other people with a common goal would, and try to break them up. Except it doesn't go exactly as planned...

♡a/n: hi guys🧍‍♀️(i have posted this and edited it like 5 times I'm a mess its been so long)

As soon as class ends Soobin makes his way out to his locker, quickly grabbing his sweater and putting his books away before heading out of the building.

If he was being honest he was some what excited? To go and spend some time with his friends again (as well as the fact he would love some free money to spend on games). It had been some time since he had hung out with Heeseung and Jeongin, let alone Beomgyu. As they've both been preoccupied with other things.

One being the painful sight of having to see his best friend, and his crush eating each other's faces in the hallway. And maybe that was a little dramatic but still! It was something that would definitely be ingrained into his head no matter how much he wanted to forget it.

More over, he had to see you. Which, he was more than open to admit his distaste towards being in your presence, and you the same.

After the little argument the two of you had he's been in a worse mood then he would like to admit. You were just so pushy with EVERYTHING and he couldn't stand it. Boundaries? He was pretty sure you didn't know what those were. It was annoying him to say the least, but fortunately he needn't say anything when Beomgyu knew him like the back of his hand. He immediately sensed something was wrong and asked Soobin to come hangout.

He was happy to have a best friend who knew him so well, which also made him feel worse for even bothering with you in the first place. All this just to "not" break them up but "break them up" he was pretty sure even you were confused.

He felt a little guilty for agreeing to go along with your idea, but in its own way he's hoping all this would help him get over the bubbly student council president, thats what he's hoping at least.

Reaching the gates of the school he immediately noticed his friends, loud and running around like children. 'Why are they like this? ' Soobin thought to himself waiting for them to calm down and finally notice his presence. Thankfully that didn't take long as they greeted him happily patting his back.

Maybe this is exactly what he needed.

Y/N POV

You were ecstatic to say the least. You've finally gotten a chance to hangout with your dearest best friend again. Areum has always been a busy person but she has also always made time for you. Sometimes maybe a little too late but you could never hold it against her.

Walking into the store you were absolutely elated. You weren't a big fan of reading honestly, a wall of text really wasn't your go to, but stylized drawings along with smaller walls of text? Sign you up! The smell of books, the stationary you thought was too cute to use but would buy anyway, the merch of your favorite media, made you love this place.

Areum on the other hand was a big fan of those walls of texts. She actually didn't quite understand why you preferred comics and manga over a good book but she listened wholeheartedly whenever you talked about them. She was a great friend, more than you could say about yourself at the moment. But that was something you for you to push in the way back of your mind once again. 'Future me can deal with consequences right? ' and 'Enjoy the moment let's not go feeling guilty ' were all you said to yourself.

The two of you walked around the store together eventually picking out these cute sanrio matching keychains for each other.

"Areum I'm going to look at the manga 'kay?" you announced, to which she nodded and you walked off.

"today's going to be a good day I'm sure of it!" you assure yourself with a hearty pep in your step.

well, when do things ever go as planned?

SOOBIN POV/MIXED

"Choi Soobin?" Soobin freezes at the the call of his name. That voice was all too familiar and not in a good way.

Turning from his original position slightly, he slowly cranks his neck up to meet the person who assumingly called him. Eyes trailing up suspiciously only to be met with none other than you. Arms crossed, foot tapping, with that ugly look of annoyance you always wore on your face looking down on him.

"Why are you here?!" you whisper yelled at him, causing him to roll his eyes in return.

What? could he not be in a perfectly public place when you're around now? He already has to at school, one more place wouldn't kill you, unfortunately. Soobin scoffs at your question, getting up from his position on the floor to stand in front of you mimicking your expression and stance as he raises his eye brow at you "It's a public book store, and I like books-" he motions to the wall of manga behind him before pursing his lips at using the word 'books' "-manga." he corrects.

You glare at him for a moment and he swears he's never wanted someone away from him more in his life. A 10 foot pole wouldn't even be enough distance between the two of you. He didn't need your nonsensical bickering today, or anyday preferably for that matter.

He was supposed to be enjoying himself with his friends trying to win a cheap reward for a cafe he barely even gets to go to anymore, he is not supposed to be agitated and talking to you.

Just as he's about to turn back around, clearly opting to ignore you, you grab his arm much to his surpise and discomfort. "Are you here with Gyu?" you suddenly ask.

'Of course that's what she would ask ' he thinks to himself, and for a moment he contemplates lying to you, because well, why should he tell you? But as if you read his mid (which is something he never thought was possible) you open your mouth again.

"Listen before you say anything I'm here with Areum thats why I'm asking" you state throwing a thump over you shoulder in the direction of the shorter who was currently flipping through a book.

As he looked in her direction an expression of "She looks so cute" was practically written all over his face.

You roll your eyes.

Coincidentally at that moment she must have felt someone staring as she turns to peak over her shoulder only to meet eyes with Soobin. Her brows shoot up in a pleasant surprise before going back to normal, she smiles brightly sending him a wave.

Soobin feels his heart beat quicken for a moment at the small gesture before slowly waving back dumbly. Only looking back in your direction when you let out a particularly noisy groan.

"Great, she's probably coming over here now. Is he here or not?"

"Uh, yeah he's at the game shop next door. I didn't want anything so I came here.." Soobin trails off still staring at the girl who is now, in fact walking over to the two of you. Hes not sure if he should be happy about this or still annoyed with the fact he had ran into you in the first place. Unfortunately you don't give him enough time to weigh the pros and cons of it before you harshly step (more like stomp) on his foot.

"Ow!" Soobin winces quickly kneeling down to hold his foot, maybe he really didn't have to think about the pros and cons.

"Leave before Beomgyu comes in here and looks for you, would'ya?"

"Why should I when you just assaulted me??" he snaps.

"Because I'm sure you also don't want to spend your day out with our lovely couple, now do you?" you argue back crossing your arms over your chest like some know-it-all.

But at that he silences, you were right, unfortunately, but you were right. And as much as he tells himself he would be okay with just being in her presence, recently that hasn't really been the case.

Maybe its been like that for a while now and he's just refused to acknowledge it, but either way it's not the time to be dwelling on it. He doesn't have the chance to anyway as Areum had reached them.

"Hey, Soobin! I didn't know you'd be here" Areum says with a tilt of her head as she smiles him.

That smile will be the death of him he swears. So much so he fails to give her a reply other than just blinking slowly at her.

But that doesn't seem to phase her as she speaks again "If you're here by yourself do you want to join us?" she asks, probably out of courtesy. But if it was any other day he'd be saying yes.

A simple "uh" is all he manages to let out before you take it upon yourself to speak for him.

"He can't! He was actually just leaving right Soobin??" you question through gritted teeth.

"Ah... yeah actually, I remembered I have something to do, sorry.." he mumbles scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh no, its okay! I just thought I'd ask. Have fun doing what you have to!"

"Yeah thanks.." Soobin says bye to Areum and sends you a glare before leaving the two of you.

"C'mon y/n ready to check out?"

"Huh? Yeah let me just grab this last thing."

About this part of your art:

I had noticed someone who looked like Reimu here, and I thought maybe these pages were the drafts of "The Grimoire of Marisa". (I don't know if you know about it, but there is an official book of spell cards that Marisa supposedly wrote!)

Actually, the contents of this book gives me an impression that Alice is somehow special to Marisa. It may be hard to understand in the English translation, but Marisa calls Alice in a slightly different way when she calls her. On the explanation page for Alice's spell card, the main text refers to Alice as Alice, but the remarks section refers to her as "こいつ(koitsu)," meaning "this girl", "this person", or something like that. Marisa speaks a little boyishly, and the term "koitsu" is also boyish and a little rude.

Also, in "Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism", there is a line where Marisa calls Alice "おまえ(omae)". The English translation would just be "you", but this is also a boyish way of speaking. The word itself is a term that Marisa uses all the time to refer to her interlocutors. The funny thing about this line is that it reads "omae" even though the text says "Alice":

In Chireiden, Marisa can also team up with Patchouli or Nitori, but then she will call each of them normally, "Patchouli" or "Nitori" respectively.

Marisa is an outspoken person to begin with, but Alice is the only other person she has dared to be so rude to. From such canon lines, I get the impression that they get along! XD

Some might think that Reimu is the person closest to Marisa, but I personally think that Marisa is a little more distant from Reimu than she is from Alice, because she recognizes Reimu's ability. Marisa acknowledges Reimu's power and is even a little afraid of it. (Sometimes she thinks that it would be bad to displease Reimu.) Of course they are very close, but I personally don't see them having a relationship where they are more than friends.

I suspect that Marisa is a little ruder to Alice than she is to others because she thinks of Alice as "her girl". 🤭💕

There are many other things I could say about Marisa and Alice's relationship, but I wanted to share this with you because I thought it might be difficult to understand these nuances in the English translations. I hope you have enjoyed reading this! :)

It's very funny how something I discreetly implied in my drawings ended up being such a big discussion haha ^^!

Thank you so much for all these observations about the japanese version!! It's very interesting and it helps me understand them much better, I always struggle to find the games well-translated and even when they are, the japanese language just has a lot of subtle nuances that we can't really translate in english anyway, so I just feel a bit left out sometimes when I'm a fan of some japanese stuff x)

I didn't know about the grimoire of Marisa, but I'm definitely going to check it! Coincidentally, this part of my drawing was just supposed to be Marisa studying everything that happened during the imperishable night in order to defeat the people from the moon in my next try. But it can totally be interpreted as the drafts of the grimoire now that you mention it!

I really like Marisa as a character, and I totally get how she would become much ruder with someone she actually feels closeness to. x) And yes, I totally agree with what you said about her and Reimu, and I think that this distance created by their mutual respect really contrasts well with her relationship with Alice. (I like to believe that Marisa mistakes her admiration for love, and struggle to understand what she feels for Alice, being like: " Yeah no I bring her and complain about her all day but thats because I can't stand her, by the way how is she doing? " but I just really like when things are a bit dramatic and complicated I guess!) I'd like to make other drawings and comics related to this someday.

+ akutagawa can’t stand the cold whatsoever and will either bundle up in his house or dorm or whatever with a space heater dedicated to each room or just won’t leave the blankets unless he has to and his room is filled with space heaters

+ in the event he does have to go out he is the most bundled dude, like, think rimbaud type bundle. thicklong coat, hat, and scarf

+ he will not wear gloves bc of sensory issues so he just stuffs his hands in his pockets and hopes the cold doesn’t get through

+ ATSULUCY WINTER SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!! lucy drags him out to window shop and walk down the streets and watch the lights and look at decorations and lucy always has the most perfect outfit combos so she’s warm and cute!!

+ they usually end off their window shopping by stopping by a cafe of some sorts [usually the uzumaki cafe, the one under the ada] and getting warm drinks and then heading home

+ LUCY HAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS DECOR!!! like think those pinterest christmas trees THATS HERS

+ fyodor just doesn’t go out during winter if he can help it, he’s anemic and definitely low iron, that man can’t retain heat no matter how many layers he puts on

+ Kunikida bringing in gifts for the whole ada, each one is so thoughtful and nice

+ at least 2 of atsushis gifts are sweaters and the rest are soft things bc he really likes soft things since he didn’t get the opportunity much to have soft things or things at all growing up in the orphanage

+ dazai also gets everybody thoughtful gifts but he doesn’t actually label them, they’re just in places where the recipient normally goes and is typically regarded as ‘their space’

+ ranpo knows of course, who the gifts are from but he’ll let dazai have this and let the gifts remain anonymous

+ dazai really enjoys the smiles everybody has when they find their gift, he’s also always in a small corner someplace or simply passing by around the time they open the gifts..

+ ada holiday party is chaotic as fuck

+ tecchou doesn’t mind the cold much; jouno absolutely can’t stand the way the cold pricks at his skin. it works perfectly because Tecchou is a living. heater.

+ nikolai also has his offhand ways of showing affection during the holidays, for one he does stuff similar to dazai and hides gifts! except it’s a 50/50 chance the recipient will like it, sometimes it’s a ton of birds referencing the 12 days of christmas song, sometimes it’s a really soft and warm weighted blanket, sometimes it’s a space heater, sometimes it’s more birds, 50/50

+ sigma and holidays are not a lovely combo since lights and sounds and general sensory stimuli are 10x as worse leaving him twice as exhausted after a day of running the casino or just living in general [he’s so me]. nikolai, before sigma gets home, dims the lights in the house and sets out stuff that are “coincidentally” helpful for sigma because this is bsd, nobody shows affection outright

[except maybe dazai, he told chuuya “that’s why i love you” once]

+ poe is very festive, almost as much as Lucy. setting out a tree and decor and leaving his manor very pretty

+ ranpo and poe often get into snowball fights, the first few times poe was very hesitant and awkward but eventually got used to it and even initiates them sometimes!!

+ they probably have stupid matching sweaters or accessories as well i won’t even lie

+ poe gives karl accessories as well, for the winter he gets a little coat, and a scarf

+ they definitely try to make gingerbread houses but as soon as they were finished ranpo just went ahead and ate his

+ kunikida and dazai aren’t the biggest on holidays, they’ll put up some decor but not anything massive like a tree

+ dazai has seasonal affective disorder, or seasonal depression and uses a light box since winters are more difficult for him. kunikida usually sits with him by the light box to keep him company.

Tags: polyniigo. Mafucentric. Mascfuyu. She/her for Akiyama Mizuki. Fluff with a hint of angst... or just both simultaneously

Mafuyu stares at the plushie in Ena's hands, blinking.

"Why?"

He asks. After all, Ena, Mizuki and Kanade had just showed up after a couple hours out, coming back with a plushie and saying that it's now his.

He just.. doesn't get it.

"Well, you're always hugging the blankets when you sleep, and when you fall asleep next to us, you have us in a death grip. So..." Ena starts, but Mizuki finishes it for her.

"We think you're a hugger in your sleep, and nothing better than a plushie for that." Mizuki smiles, Mafuyu looks away back to the plushie.

"You don't need to take it, if you don't want it." Kanade reminds, he thinks about it, really hard.

Plushies were children stuff, that's what his mom had told him when he was 10 and his last plushie, coincidentally, also a bunny, was given away, to someone younger, "more deserving".

He remembers having to hold his tears back, his mom was so annoyed with him back then...

"But.. I'm old." If he was old at 10, he was for sure old at 17.

"Nuh uh. There isn't an age limit to enjoying plushies." Mizuki says, "Come on, Ena has more plushies at her bed than any of us, and she's also the oldest."

Mafuyu hums, looking at the plushie again. His mom would be disappointed, and mad. But his partners, his friends, seemed to want him to take it, and he trusts them more than he trusts himself.

"Do you want it or not?" Ena snaps, and it makes Mafuyu reach a final decision.

He reaches around to hold it in his hand, it was soft, just like the one he lost back then. It was also a bit bigger, Mafuyu gives it a slow squeeze, soft.

He can feel the tears coming up to his eyes, but he needs his girls to know how he feels.

"Thank you. It is.. soft. And warm."

"Thats a plushie to you." Mizuki winks, Kanade slightly giggles.

"I'm glad that you like it." The smallest one says.

Mafuyu looks back at the plushie in his arms. His plushie. She can't take it away anymore, no one can. He smiles.

honestly that makes a lot of sense. like we've brushed the topic of them doing some kind of collab or work together (bcs and we kept everything professional but something has changed, something i like from "i can see you") but this also helps a lot. like maybe both tbh, yn is known for both being a pop star but f1 fans know her as that driver/staff's sister/daughter/whatever and always think it's so cool when she visits the paddock, and even cooler when she ?? idk, gets hired by some company to make interviews with all merc drivers ????? 😭 or maybe it's easier if she's just nepo baby + popstar and she just happens to run into paul all the time.... and she knows that some flirting can never hurt so she's always very open to paul, smiling at him and touching him subtly yk....

and yes omg stuff def goes down at the monaco post-race party.... since they already kinda know each other then, they spend some time together and when paul starts to get a little tipsy, he gets much more confident. like any other time, he would barely even be able to hold eye contact w him, but now he's asking her to dance and stuff ??? and yn finds that transformation so cute shdkfhd

it is with a heavy heart that i must announce. the five nights at freddy's movie was really good

sorry for how much of a behemoth this post is im fnaf autism just bear with me also i can't keep my thoughts straight for the life of me so this will be a bumpy ride. as an additional note i got very lucky and had literally 0 spoilers whatsoever for this movie, i haven't even seen the trailer

so first of all: i thought all the changes they made to the plot to make it work for a movie were good decisions, altho some of them did take a minute to actually feel like good changes lmao. once i thought about em a bit more though they made sense.

one of the things i really liked was that they also did include a lot of the things i wanted them to, or more specifically things that you're like "you literally can't have a fnaf movie without these, it just wouldn't be right", like we got mike schmidt, we got fucking VANESSA??? altho she might be in the trailer so that might not be the same reveal for yall as it was for me but still. they heavily alluded to vanny? (altho that's a part i'm kinda sad abt is they didn't /actually/ include vanny, vanessa just makes an offhand comment about how she "wouldn't be much help" if she was around afton and then. comes to help anyways and doesnt have any issues? lame they shouldve had him hypnotise her and then she fought her way out to help mike and abby. or alternatively they couldve used the family restructuring to make vanny be a result of afton giving vanessa osdd-2, like thats kinda functionally what he does with the mask anyways but this would make it more obvious).

also swinging back to changes they made that i liked!! VANESSA AFTON?? like this is the one that took me a while to get used to bc it feels like such a cliche from an outside perspective but it also kind of Super Isn't considering what the original plot is? like all the family restructuring they did makes pretty good sense to me, i do think it loses a bit of the weight having michael be Just Some Guy Whose Brother Happened To Be Kidnapped By Afton Forever Ago and now coincidentally has this weird guy offering him a job as a night guard, but also the og lore. absolutely would not fit into a movie lmao. so i like that they kept the characters everyone wanted around while also rearranging it to keep the spirit of "learning about all of this for the first time through the eyes of a security guard" you get from playing the games. it's fun for people who don't know the lore because it's easy to follow and it's fun for people who /do/ know the lore because they can pull apart all the differences.

oh right back to things they included that i wanted them to. we gotttt chica's cupcake murdering people, we got FUCKING MATPAT? SAYING THE ITS JUST A THEORY LINE? SOUNDING THRILLED OFF HIS ASS TO BE THERE??? i dont like the man and his opinions vis a vis addressing nonbinary characters but. goddamn was that a funny cameo. why couldnt you include markiplier too you fucking cowards. who said that. anyways. oh we kind of tangentially have a canon name for crying child? aka garrett? like idk this one could go either way because like. yeah he's mike's younger brother that died tragically and scarred him for life, makes sense that theyd be the same character in function but also it is technically a different family so who knows.

umm what else. oh this doesnt rlly fall into either category i just really liked it, the intro sequence for all the animatronics? showing what they can /really/ do with the breaking and entering dudes?? that was such a cool sequence i really liked the whole thing honestly. chica being introduced in the kitchen and the dude finding the cupcake then looking back and it's gone? bonnie in the supply closet? foxysprint??? AND FREDDY!! THE BITE!!! in case anyones reading this before watching the movie so they know what to expect: youll know when this moment is coming and if youre watching it at home with friends i HIGHLY recommend having the "was that the bite of 87" clip ready to play right after, they WILL lose their shit. i had it queued up from the very beginning of the movie cause i was like. they can't not include it /somehow/, it's the fnaf movie there has to be A Bite. and sure enough. oh also it's not at the same time but the golden freddy reveal is really good too, they did a good job of setting it up so even if youre already aware of golden freddy conceptually you still go "oh freddy's here? i mean i guess that makes sense he's the leader and all. or wait what happened to his eye why's he only got one? oh. oh i see. ohohohohohohohoho" 100/10. also very funny that they just straight up. MURDER THE AUNT? AND SHE NEVER GETS MENTIONED AGAIN SHE JUST IS DEAD??? the kid isnt like. hey what happened to aunt jane?? i get none of them liked her and with good reason but youd think at least one of em would be like "damn she sucked but she didnt deserve that, rip jane"

oh and the springlocks of course the springlocks. like as soon as we saw aftons name in the cast list we all knew he was gonna get springlocked, it's such a cherished memory for so many of us and there's no way in hell The Fnaf Movie™ wouldnt include afton getting springlocked, they just legally can't leave that out. and they do it pretty well too like yeah if you know what's gonna happen you can see it coming way ahead of time and it's kind of a slow crawl to get there but like. idk i think it still works pretty well. i don't personally like how long the actual springlocking itself took, i think they couldve milked that a little bit less cause i was under the impression that if one springlock failed they All Would Instantaneously And Your Flesh Body Will Become Occupied By A Full Endoskeleton. but no we just get very slow rib beartrap. w/e though still cool and again the leadup to it was really good even knowing exactly how it would end, like just the really slow shuffling of the animatronics towards him? like yeah it's slow and kinda tedious but its also like. theres literally nothing you can do, youre surrounded and defenseless and theyre infinitely faster and stronger than you and now they remember that you killed them. and you just have to sit there and watch them slowly slowly get closer all while trying to talk your way out of it knowing youre fucked. 10/10 they did that part well

oh and that also falls under changes i liked, i liked that instead of "afton tries to escape intangible ghosts by getting into old decrepit suit which then fails and kills him" it was "afton was already in the suit to do murders in and has brainwashed the bots to follow him" wait omg point postponed i just realized that part is from security breach. i thought vanessa was the only thing they brought over from that i didnt even notice that they werent doing the theyre-attacking-all-adults-indiscriminately thing goddamn. omg wait and the fact that the restaurants already closed in this one, it really is just a blend of all the games huh. scott do you see how much more coherent your plot couldve been if there wasnt So much going on. anyways. back to what i was saying. instead of "afton tries to escape intangible ghosts by getting into old decrepit suit which then fails and kills him" it was "afton was already in the suit to do murders in and brainwashed the ghosts into thinking he was their friend so they would help him do murders while possessing the robots. then they get their memories back and the robots turn on him and.. i think deliberately? set off the springlocks, or were just aiming to regular kill him and the springlocks failing was a happy accident? then the robots drag him away as they keep slowly one by one collapsing into him", like the first one made a lot of sense for the game and the timeline and the second one just feels right for this too. it's still his hubris that kills him, still his springlocks, it's just in one version the hubris is "trusting his springlock design to still work after however many years" and in the other its "thinking he has conplete control over the ghosts he killed", plus the ghosts finally get a bit more direct participation in his death than in the other version lol.

one change i did not like. forced het romance. like i dunno i guess im happy for them, both of those characters have certainly earned happy endings by this point so its nice they can get something cutesy. but also. like cmon man it's vanessa and mike do we have to do this she just got stabbed stop holding her hand

oh also this change wasnt really good or bad i just thought it was funny, vanessas a full on cop now? like i get they prolly just dont wanna have two security guards or something but i mean. it wouldve been really easy to just say she was the day shift guard? thatd explain why she had more information on the bots and the place's history than him, why she's always Around, it wouldve even flowed into the vanessa afton reveal pretty well too because like. yeah obviously a guy doing murders would want his main security guard to be someone he trusts and who better than his theoretically brainwashed daughter yknow? as it was she just kinda Showed Up Knowing Stuff And Ignoring Questions and later afton's like "you were supposed to be keeping an eye on him" but like of course Mike was getting dodgy about the weirdo cop loitering nearby for no reason, thats sus as hell lmao. vs "experienced security guard here to show you the ropes" he would have a much easier time trusting that she actually did have his best interests at heart. idk it just seemed like a weird change to me lmao

ummm oh my roommate pointed out the fact that when they tried to springlock abby the suit they were aiming for looked suspiciously like circus baby and abby and baby are anagrams so thats fun. it's hard to tell though if shes intended to be a rework of elizabeth or if vanessa's filling that role now. cause like on the one hand, michael's younger sister whose name is v close to baby, on the other hand, vanessa is afton's daughter. so idk i feel like it could go either way. if abby's elizabeth i guess that negates the thing about garret maybe being crying child's name bc then theyd prolly just be keeping mike's name the same. w/e

oh my god i completely forgot when i was talking about changes to the afton springlock thing, they had him deliberately put his mask on after the other springlocks started releasing and say the "i always come back" line, i thought that was an excellent touch. like he's actively dying a horrific death and is like. no no. im not leaving this bot. this shit is going to suck ass no matter what so i might as well do all i can to ENSURE my soul gets locked in this fuckin thing, go on stab me in the brain lets do this. i will however also say that having him say "i always come back"... before he's even come back the first time? is a little bit weird, i know thats another one of the "we have to include this in the fnaf movie" things so im not mad but just in the moment it def flows a bit weird. like mf you don't even have one example of that yet much less several to be saying "always" about

OH AND THE BIGGEST ONE. THE ANIMATRONICS. theyre so good. like im so glad they went all in on that, i think they probably knew that if there was one single thing they had to get absolutely 100% right to avoid a fan uprising it was those and by god did they deliver, theyre so big and so unsettling and so fun. chica's wink at abby was the best part of the movie no questions asked. or alternatively bonnie falling over after they built the fort. like theyre all just so good. OH MY GOD OR IN CHICA'S INTRODUCTION SEQUENCE WHERE YOU CAN SEE HER JUST. SCOOTING BY THROUGH THE VENT?? THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING OF ALL TIME HELLO???

god. but yeah i was honestly expecting it to be a lot worse than it was. also this mike is a bad brother/dad figure. but i guess in the games he also kind of is the pinnacle of bad brother so i mean it couldve been a lot worse. theres definitely some rough parts, i mightve mentioned this already but i felt like a few of the dramatic pause things were a bit too drawn out, like i said the springlocks locking is one good example of that but another that i REALLY found slow was like. in the opening we watch a guy get turbomurdered by the swirly blade mask and it takes. way longer than i feel like was necessary. also unnecessary: a jumpcut a second from scared eyes to swirly blades to hands fumbling and repeating during that. oh another thing that was weird to me, why was mike so insistent on sleeping specifically at night? to the point of deliberately sleeping on the job? like i get he wanted to revisit the kidnapping dream but like. presumably he could dream just as well during the day, no? done his night shift then once it was up rolled out a sleeping bag for a quick powernap before heading home? idk that just felt. forced to me

more random things, i am sad we didnt get a whiff of henry emily (my fringe theory was that their twist to change it from the games was they were gonna make henry be evil, rip to that idea) or the puppet/charlie, and kinda sad they changed the kid possessing golden freddy to be a boy like. we love cassidy and her Undying Rage Towards Afton's Soul smh why would you get rid of her. also loved balloon boy, kinda wish mangle had gotten like a similar level appearance but thats w/e. oh also while i did appreciate the low gore level there were also a few times where it was a bit weird how minor the injuries the dead people had were. like this man just had his face put in a blender mask and he just has like. some forehead gashes or whatever? he should look like someone stirred up jello

anyways with that gross thought i think i am out of things to say about the movie for now. if anyone else watched it already and somehow read all of this blease tell me your thoughts

dan and 13s relationship is funny bc, okay im definitely probably making the doctor slightly more hostile than she is/would be in canon bc of whump purpose circumstances (shes mean when shes being poisoned) however, it still is the case that they have had like, two conversations one-on-one in canon? at the end of 13x2 when theyre gonna save yaz - the extent of which is "this is a trap. we have to get yaz. do as i say" - and then eotd "she like likes you"

theres a few more where they have a conversation with other people also there. if we take those into account it's like:

1 - end of 13x1 "sorry heres your house. also im now involving you in saving the universe nope not optional sorry again"

2 - end of 13x2 "karvanista im taking your guy"

3 - still end of 13x2 "we're saving yaz. this is definitely a trap. do as i say"

4 - 13x3 "sorry youre lost in your own timestream but im fixing it dont worry"

5 - end of 13x3 "do as youre fucking told i told you to do as youre told rule 1 do as i say!!!"

*interlude where dan lives 3 years of his life in the 20th century* this would not have happened if he hadnt gone with the doctor in 13x2. becomes good friends with yaz tho. he has had well counted 5 interactions with the doctor. you can barely call them conversations. hes mostly just been ordered around. even jericho has spent more indepth time with her being stuck in that house surrounded by angels. 5 interactions. now 3 years with yaz. okay just wanted to make that clear. back to the program

6 - 13x6 "hi dan, since youve had such a great time in my blue box and also coincidentally do not have a house, wanna come spend some more time in my blue box? oh i also have yaz here that might be convincing"

7 - eotd first time dan initiates. "i'll go distract that second dalek while you two figure out how to solve all this"

8 - eotd second time dan initiates! on a roll! "she like likes you". or perhaps the more important point: "you know exactly what youre doing with her"

9 - lotsd "your clothes oh my god what are you thinking". first conversation that feels like it involves all three of them and is not two-of-them-talking-and-one-standing-by. gives a GREAT impression of the doctor-companion hierarchy at play. "yaz did you dress dan up like this??"

10 - lotsd "dont diss dan, dans my mate!" echoing yaz in eotd. another good picture of the doctor-companion hierarchy

the fic im writing is set between lotsd and potd so this is the space im interested in rn but for the sake of completeness:

11 - potd dan iniating for the third&last time: "im out ✌️"

so heres my interpretation of their relationship right. i think 13x5 is a tipping point. before 13x5 they Do Not know each other. at all. dan is barely more than another "lad who ive not even met yet". shes met dan, but thats kind of it

up to 13x5 the only interactions dan has with the doctor are being ordered around and being invited on board. this is also still true up to 13x6 but by then he has extensive secondhand experience of her through yaz

crucial that for the doctor in 13x6 wrt dan nothing has changed. he has a fairly good impression of who she is at this point, i think. their firsthand interactions on the other hand still only consist of ordering around and being invited on board

so 13x5 first flipping point. second flipping point is eotd because now dan starts iniating conversations, and not just conversations but really like kinda deep ones too. seeing as their interactions up to that point consisted of "do as i say" and "come aboard my tardis" this must really, like, threedimensionalise both of them to each other. bc so far both of their impressions of each other are mainly through yaz. dans idea of the doctor is through yaz and to the doctor i think dan is mostly just a friend to yaz

but here in eotd they start getting glimpses of each other firsthand, or at least the doctor gets some of dan, dan had already some of the doctor (see: ordered around), and i think this is why i tend to gravitate to making 13 fairly hostile toward him. it's also bc i put her in vulnerable positions where she will be more hostile to everyone, but i also can imagine he poses a bit of a threat to her. the first real thing he ever said to her was directly attacking like her main emotional defenses that shes held for 5+prison years years. i dont think she would be overtly hostile, i think she'd just make sure to keep yaz between them as a buffer, not to be in a room alone with him

similarly i cant imagine dan has all that great of an impression of her! he met her psychologically not in a great place, not exactly nice to anyone really, shes ordered him to shut up and follow more than shes had a real conversation with him, AND hes seen yaz Like That for 3 years and then the doctor Like That for a week and immediately decided to intervene. i dont think he thinks shes nice! because she hasnt really been

so the point im trying to get to is - idk if i had one but - they both have a close relationship with yaz, but i dont think theyre like, comfortable roommates necessarily. i think theyre friendly, sure, but i also think they have never really been in a room alone together. i think they keep yaz as a buffer between them and then are polite and friendly, but i dont think they like each other, actually. at all. i cant imagine they do.

and if youre thinking about scenes where the doctors vulnerable, which i do bc i like using the space between lotsd and potd to upset her, then i think they both would try to make sure that dan never has to see her in distress. like i think you could make a comparison between the scenes at the end of 11x2 where first the fam sees her super upset and then when yaz comments on it in the tardis she brushes it off and the fam kinda takes that as a boundary that they try not to cross (until like s12 comes around and it becomes almost impossible bc things are so obviously wrong) AND the scenes in eotd where first dan is like "do something about yaz" and then when yaz asks about what the doctor meant abt her actions catching up with her, the doctor looks at dan there and goes ":) nothing :)"

anyway i dont have a real point this is just vibes bc of course i put them in a room alone together and made them talk so i had thoughts. dont know if theyre good. but their relationship is fucking weird. honestly like if dan is a doctor mirror then youve got the doctor here going "do not get emotionally involved with me!" and dan going "i wasnt planning on it!"

everything dan says in his goodbye to the doctor he actually says to yaz. like you should just swap them out. because yaz is the doctor to his companion. dan&doctor is not a doctor-companion relationship thats the core of it. but then the question is, what the fuck is it

omg hi! I was thinking about it after I saw post on radblr about gendered languages soo I want to ask you to make a poll if it's okay!

my native language is gendered so you can refer to chair as he and to door as she and everything, it is not only reflected in nouns but also in adjectives and verbs. and since everything is gendered, you can't talk about someone without specifying their sex, so for example, if you want to say "this teacher is very nice" you need to specify in every word that teacher's sex.

so the problem in my country that feminists are dealing with, is that people, when referring to a woman, are using he/him for noun and she/her for the rest of the words. like in "this doctor is very nice" "doctor" will be used in a male form, while all the other words will be used in a female form or if someone want to say "this doctor is a good specialist" they will only specify that this is a woman only in a word "this" or won't do even that.

this way of using words is already erasing women from the language, but with all that, one of the arguments against using female form while talking about a woman (which is grammarly correct and is what feminists are asking for) is that female form sound "unserious" or "unprofessional". it is also a common thing to hear something like "she's not an actress, she's an actor!" as if "actress"(female) is inferior and "actor"(male) is superior.

there are female forms of words that people do not care about(some still do), mostly because it is usually women's professions like "teacher", "kindergartener", "flight attendant", "babysitter", etc but it is only adding to all that misogyny.

so all this talking was because I wanted to ask you to make a poll about if other women speaking gendered language have this kind of problem in their country/language.

I also always feel weird when people in english are using gay as an adjective, like saying gay woman instead of lesbian and gay people while referring to LGB but not lesbian people or bi people for some reason. but it seems like a lot of woman here on radblr don't really mind that? so I thought that it might be because of how english is not gendered and if there's any gyns speaking gendered languages, I would also like to read what they think about it.

my language is similarly gendered! coincidentally, chair is also masculine, but the door is also masculine. table is feminine, pillow is feminine, blanket is masculine, room is feminine, etc. it would also be in arabic that if you say "this teacher is very nice" it would be "this(feminine) teacher(feminine) is very nice(feminine)". its extremely gendered which i dont mind but what i DO dislike about it is if you want to be neutral, the default is male. masculine is both masculine and neutral depending on context. male as neutral doesn't sit right with me personally.

how it works in your language sounds terrible! one thing i like about my language is the way words are feminised is pretty simple and consistent. doctor vs doctora, teacher (mudaris, male) vs teacher (mudarisa, female). you just add an -ah sound at the end of the profession & it becomes female.

i would argue english IS gendered tho, its just not as gendered as languages like arabic, german, spanish, etc but it is indeed gendered. especially compared to languages like mandarin, in which the pronoun for both sexes is ta (so no he nor she, just ta. context clues or the character used will indicate the sex tho). theres also stuff to be said about how "female" and "woman" have "male" and "man" in them.

ANYWAYS... heres the poll u asked for,, i wasnt sure if some of these options apply to any languages but i thought id make these options regardless in case thats simply my ignorance:

The Cafe door opened with two people entering as Y/N looked up, widening her eyes as she immediately recognised those pair of eyes. "They are just customers Y/N" She thought to herself as she smiled looking the approaching figures.

Y/N: Hello Sir. I will be your waitress for today. May I have your order?

???: I am Sorry but Are you an Engene? Who is your bias?

Those sharp eyes were wandering around her sweatshirt as she realised that she was wearing her enhyphen merchandise.

Y/N: Ah yes. Its yo- I mean Jay. I mean Sir. I mean..

There she did it. Her cheeks flushed red from embarrassment as the pair of them giggled at her sudden confession. She Found her eyes getting interlocked With those sharp eagle eyes but couldn't hold The eye contact. Her cheeks were red again.

Heeseung: If you both are done, We will have two coffees please.

Y/N immediately bowed.

Y/N: Your order will be served in no time.

There wasnt much crowd so it was easy for her. She bowed again and turned around cursing under breath for embarrassing her ownself infront of her bias.

She prepared their coffee humming Hey Tayo as her legs danced with those beautiful beats. As she placed the coffee on the tray, her eyes got locked with those eagle eyes again. This time she couldn't help herself but to stare in those brown eyes.

Jay: Are you done staring?

He asked bringing her back to Earth. She bowed again and again apologizing profusely for making him uncomfortable but he simply giggled. The giggle, she would do anything to hear it.

Jay: I would like to pay before taking The order.

Y/N: O-Ofcourse Sir.

She answered and accepted his card AND shifted for doing the process. "AM I ACTUALLY HOLDING HIS STUFFS?" She thought, her heart racing as she bit her lips to stop herself from smiling. As she placed their coffee on the table, returning him the card, Jay gave her a chit.

Y/N: Whom should I deliver it to?

She asked tilting her head as Jay smiled. His smile was recognisable from the mask making her more confused.

Jay: Save it in your contacts and dont forget to message me okay? I hate waiting.

Y/N: E-eh?

She stuttered as her eyes widened. Jay Held her hand and placed the chit. Heeseung was sipping his coffee while enjoying the drama (FORGOT ABOUT HIM LOL) "OMFG. HE HELD MY HAND?" She said her heart racing as she bowed again, This time thanking him for trusting her.

And thats how their simple yet beautiful Love story started. Sometimes trust and fate work together for a good cause. You just need to allow the things to flow.

OMGGG IM C R Y I N G the Shakespearian comedy energy of this! I'm Living!

The gang ABSOLUTELY have a group chat dedicated to scheming of having Din and Luke meet!!! (They also have memes about them on this group chat..it continues even once they find out)

I love the idea that Din and Luke meeting like in a pretty normal place/way, like the park and Grogu just hones in on Luke or Din sees Luke ready to throw hands with some dickhead or whatever. Meanwhile the group is coming up with increasingly convoluted plots to get them in the same place.

Also they literally talk about their friends, but are so into eachother they don't even notice that so many of their circle has the same name; they're too busy making heart eyes and wedding Pinterest boards.

Din, the clones and Boba helping Anakin out with stuff and Anakin thinking 'hmm this young man would be the perfect son-in-law and he comes with instant grandson! And just keeps bigging Luke up and Din like being polite but thinking 'i already have the best Luke'.

I want Din and Luke just constantly coincidentally leaving a room as one of their friends walks in. Like full Emperor's New Groove restaurant scene vibes

Din like 'thats so funny I have a friend called Leia who has a twin brother called Luke! Must be a popular name combo!' Luke like 'my bestie Cara has a friend called Din and is a disaster lesbian too!' and it's just peak dumbass.

Din and Luke dating for almost a year when Ahsoka happens to walk past them on an adorable picnic date, and kissing. She sees Din lean in to kiss someone and is like "oh no our plans are ruined" and thEN SHE SEES THAT ITS LUKE AND LOSES HER MIND

She calls the group chat like YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS.

At the wedding Boba and Anakin have a slide show of the best of the Operation DinLuke groupchat and texts between them and Din and Luke. The presentation is iconic and Din and Luke are like .....how did we not realise... But at the same time do watch the video of it at least once a year (normally on their anniversary).
