4 & 11 ✌🏼
4. mythical creature you think/believe is real?
Honestly... none? Unless you count deities, in which case i guess i accept the possibility of at least one such entity existing. As much as i love myths, legends etc., i'm too jaded to believe that the various creatures described in them exist anywhere in our world. Not gonna lie, it's a bit disappointing, but at the same time i take comfort in the thought that there is nothing out there more malicious and liable to fuck me up than members of my own species.
11. anything from your childhood you’ve held on to?
You mean other than the assorted traumas, coping mechanisms and mistakes randomly haunting my brain to this day? I'm sure i did, but at this moment nothing comes to mind. If you mean material things, then sadly, despite my compulsive hoarding i haven't managed to hold on to anything that would mentally take me back to my childhood's happier days.
Sorry if these answers seem depressing. Must be the midlife crisis rearing its ugly head.

Excellent convo going on here. I’d echo the sentiment of @coastgods here, and add that this phenomenon is why there’s a distinction between the terms “pagan practices” and “indigenous practices.” It’s why it’s frowned upon to conflate the two.

I was tagged by @havocinthebluebox to post a selfie, and here it grudgingly is: my grumpy self in the locker room, post work, pre gym, chainmail necklace immediately entangled in the hair as I was putting it up, generally unimpressed with the day. ☠️
Tagging @klump-kloss @ramadiiiisme @coastgods and @themischiefoftad if you're up for it

When you get this you have to answer with 5 things you like about yourself, publicly. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool!!)
This is going to be hard, but OK, let's be positive.
My trash heap of a brain. And yes, I say that in a completely positive way. When you look at a landfill, most of it is worthless trash - but if you actually dare to walk over it, you can still find surprisingly well-preserved and useful stuff. It's the same with my brain. On a good day I'm capable of seamlessly moving from one slightly obscure topic to another, and talk about it on a level slightly above "average Joe". All thanks to the grey blob in my head absorbing all sorts of shit over the years and refusing to filter it, instead tucking it into the nearest available hole in the already present mass of trash information.
My command of the English language. You'd think it's no great feat, but when I compare my skills with those of people claiming to "know English very well", especially in a business setting, I usually turn out to be several levels above them. Maybe it's just because of low standards here in Poland, but it still feels good.
My "musical hearing". Far from Absolute Pitch, but I learn melodies very easily and recall them even after years of not hearing them. I've had a few musical episodes in my life and I deeply regret they're over, because I feel like I wasted a lot of my potential... ahem. Positivity. Alright.
General manual skills. Whether it's drawing, tinkering or juggling (I suck at it, but hey, at least I tried) I feel pretty well coordinated. It's like a bit of a head start compared to other people with similar (lack of) experience at something.
I LIVED, BITCHES. Yeah, that's something I like about myself - I'm 35 and counting, in spite of all the negative things in my life and in my head. I suck at living, but I'm still at it, and don't plan to quit anytime soon.
I'll be honest, I had a lot of trouble with that list. It's so much easier to say what I dislike about myself, and even easier to say "meh, I'm as unremarkable as possible, so what's the point?" - but truth be told, I enjoyed writing this. It made me feel slightly better about myself and my prospects for the nearest future. Thanks, @coastgods!
