I couldn't find a replica Crowley scarf/necktie for my cosplay play, so I decided to make one. I think it turned out pretty good. The knitted portion and tassles are handmade.

I'm selling some of these Crowley scarfs/neckties on Etsy for $48.99 if anyone wants to grab one there. It measures 50 inches total. The knitted section measures 40 inches and the tassles measure 5 inches long each. When the width is evenly folded in half it measures 1 & 1/2 inches or 3 inches in circumference. Please message me if you need a custom length of scarf. I'm a tall human (over 6' tall) and needed one a little longer than this to look proportional to me.

I also sell the snake temporary tattoo for cosplaying Crowley as well!

If you want to make your own scarf, follow the pattern below:

Using 4.0mm double pointed knitting needles and sport weight (#2) yarn

CO21 (7 for each of the 3 needles in the round)

Join in the round K21

Keep knitting until about you reach 10 inches short of the total length desired (ensure you measure the length after stretching the yarn on the needles).

Cast off using 1 or 2 sizes down in needles.

Attach the tassles, tie your knot, and put on a dastardly ensemble, and voila!

Enjoy your new scarf/necktie and go cause some chaos. ❤️‍🔥🖤🤍

Advice for High School Sophomores

1. If you haven’t joined clubs yet, JOIN CLUBS! Now that you finally have the whole high school thing under control go ahead and join clubs. Don’t go crazy, only join the clubs you’re actually interested in.

2. This year is very much a filler year, nothing really happens. The excitement of attending high school has worn off and now you have 3 long years ahead of you. You’re going to feel as if your life is boring, and it is completely normal.

3. Take Challenging Classes. This is the perfect time to start taking AP and Honors classes. Don’t overload! Be aware of what you can and can’t handle. It’s time to start thinking about your transcript.

4. Friends are a doosey. You’ll start school and some people won’t talk to you while some people start talking to you. Drama either begins or is continued. Just smile and wave, smile and wave. <<Do you get the reference?

5. Relationships are ehh... Once cuffing season arrives, it seems like everyone you know is pairing off. But beware, Don’t fall into the traps. Don’t entertain the seniors, they’re most likely just looking for quick fun. If it feels like you’re the only single once, trust me you’re not. You don’t need a significant other.

Class Of 2021.

People felt bad for the class of 2020, because they didn't get to walk across a stage. However, I would argue, and could possibly win a case, that the class of 2021 has it much worse. We did not get a final winter formal. We did not get any prospect of a prom or senior dance. Many of us did school work through fall break, because teachers wanted to assign work that was due during said break, and the same will most likely go for our spring break. We will not have any senior memories. We will not be able to perform our final performing arts shows in front of our school. We will not be able to plot with friends to sneak a senior prank into our school. This is the final year of our academic careers, that we have spent 12 years before this working toward, and we have nothing to show for it. We have no memories. We have no photos to show our future children and grandchildren how much of an idiot we got to be in our Senior year.

What we got instead was disappointment, like a big old glass of trash punch, not too dissimilar to the sad juice left at the bottom of a garbage can after a party thrown by sad alcoholics, trying to relive their glory days, only to be let down by the night being remarkably unlike any other drinking night; a mixture of various drinks full of bitterness and depression, topped with a perfect, frothy foam of never walking across that stage and shaking hands with the people who allowed us to get to that point. Instead, we attend a virtual meeting, and we receive our diplomas in the mail. We will not invite our beloved friends and family to attend as we fill a stadium court, to see us leave the long years of school and take our steps into adulthood. We are not special, nor will we ever be. We are mundane by the nature of circumstances unforeseen, and yet who will acknowledge us, like they acknowledged the more fortunate? The class of 2021 will be written in the history books as the most remarkably unremarkable graduating class in the modern world, and knowing that fact fills me with a dread so great that the anxiety that I have lived with since age 12 simply pales in comparison to the mind and body full of sorrow that this simple thought brings.

This sad drink of a Senior year experience has an upside, however. A bittersweet thought, similar to a two-week expired gingersnap cookie remembered on the counter that we have the liberty of enjoying with our garbage-can punch. A cookie that reminds us the future classes can only have it better; that our failed Senior year serves as a lesson in how not to plan, that will allow, if circumstances do not change, our teachers and school to give future classes a better learning experience.

That is how the pandemic has affected me and my loved ones.

A excerpt from a school assignment in which I was asked how the pandemic has affected me. I figured I would take this opportunity to write something which I felt hits home, and expresses the genuine sorrow I feel for my class.

The discovery of a so-called super receptor on the surface of CD4 immune cells found in what are known as elite controllers of HIV may help in future efforts in the HIV cure research field.

Publishing their findings in Science Immunology, researchers studied 15 individuals who belong to a small group of people living with HIV—less than 1 percent of the overall population of those living with the virus—whose immune systems are able to control the virus quite well without the use of antiretrovirals. The researchers used a powerful microscope—it is the size of a football stadium—to analyze these individuals’ immune cells. The participants were selected from the ANRS CO21 CODEX cohort.
