hello! i’m not new to studyblr + langblr, i’ve had a blog previously but i deleted it a few months ago to start fresh. this is my dark academia studyblr & langblr!

about me —

you can call me c! she/her. i'm 19, & i’m studying undergrad as a stem student (computer science), and an aspiring classics major in uni (second undergrad & masters). i’m an intj 5w4 & i love making new friends, so feel free to reach out <3

why i started this blog —

to hold myself accountable and be more productive

to interact with a likeminded community as i work towards my goals

to keep myself motivated & to share my love of academia with the world

to meet new, wonderful people

because i miss the golden age of studyblr + need a way to force myself to make my life more beautiful

what content to expect —

since i study both computer science (officially) and classics (unofficially), expect to see both!

my study aesthetic — chaotic/dark academia

currently studying — computer science at the undergrad level. learning french, and russian. i play the violin and the piano as well. i am also self-studying A levels for my second undergrad, in the subjects ancient history, classical civilisation, and latin.*

i'm also a writer. my classics/writeblr blog is @iliadesque (although i suspect i won't be using it all that much)

things i like — the classics, the goldfinch, autumn, dark academia, gone girl, thunderstorms, tarot, tennis, waif aesthetics, museums, earl grey, pilates, ballet, black coffee, reading, learning, and apples. i am a romantic at heart. i am also an olfactory enthusiast & have a modest but growing perfume collection.

Hello everyone, I'm berry 🍓

A little about me: I've been learning dev for 10 months, although I had quite a few rough patches in my consistency 😅 that's why I'm here now starting this blog

I'm self-taught with Udemy, learning html, css, javascript, and now react

My background is optical! I'm a total glasses geek.

I graduated with my bachelors in business back in Jan 2020

I might post some hobby content as I try to redevelop hobbies! It's been a rough couple years...

Studyblr Intro

Hello, there! I have been a long-time lurker in the studyblr community, and I decided that It's about time I joined in on the fun! This is a sideblog that I am revamping to use for study-related content. I am currently taking a few summer classes at my community college, and I'd like to use this blog to keep myself motivated.

About me:

Undergraduate first year (I started in spring)

Currently 20, but will be turning 21 in August

I live in New England (America)

Currently pursuing a Liberal Arts Degree with a Math Focus

I am hoping to go into a math-related career. At the moment, forensic accounting interests me, but I am definitely open to other things.

Interests and Hobbies:

Cooking & Baking

Video Games (Stardew Valley, BOTW & TOTK, and Minecraft, mostly)

I'd like to get into reading, but that has been slow going

Goals:

Stay on top of my classwork

Get above an 80% in all of my classes

Be able to spend more time on my interests and hobbies

Make some friends, hopefully

What to expect:

I'd love to give a tangible list of what to expect, but this is also the first blog that I will be making (hopefully consistent) personal posts to ever. It'll be as much a surprise to you as to me. You can probably expect a lot of reblogs, some to do lists, photos, and maybe some hobby-related posts.

i currently am doing some university level computer science subjects in order to qualify for my dream bachelor degree (information studies with a major in records and archive management)

learning python at university

crochet - i have a chronic illness that makes it hard to crochet for very long but i really enjoy making small projects!!

fun facts + other stuff:

i have 2 cats! a calico and a grey tuxedo, and they are so silly

my favourite tea is chamomile with honey

as mentioned above, i have a chronic illness which makes it hard to do basically everything. if you have any tips for studying/staying on top of uni while being chronically ill or mentally ill hmu lol

i looooove listening to music! 100 gecs, ashnikko, chrissy chlapecka, scene queen, salems corydalis, twinkle park, the cure, and bts are some of my favourites

i also love podcasts!!!!! welcome to night vale, very really good, respect the dead, and some more news are all ones i listen to regularly
