Happy Father’s Day Sunday, friends! How can I pray for you this week? As much as fathers love presents and cards, the best Father’s Day gift we can ever give is a life that honors them and honors God. According to the Bible “righteousness” is doing right in the eyes of God and “wisdom” is forged by humility and fear of the Lord. Walking in step with our Heavenly Father will lead us to a life that brings honor to our earthly ones. And like a good father, God will always protect and provide for those who listen to him. Reposted from @good.great.god To help us determine which kind of woman we are, we’re going to look at two lists. 👀 One is a list of women the world deems outstanding, and the other list is the characteristics of a godly woman from various scriptures, i.e. a woman of the Word. Worldly women have to work fastidiously to get to where they are and maintain it. Life is all about them. Any woman who chooses to chase after fame, money, and possessions is worldly. Based on the Bible’s definition, a woman of the word is holy, temperate, and loving. She is a discreet woman who is faithful. A woman of the word is a virtuous woman-Proverbs 31:10-31. She fears the Lord and walks in wisdom. The Bible says that men look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart (1Samuel 16:7). A woman of the word focuses on having a clean heart, a sober mind, a submissive spirit, and a surrendered will. 👉🏻 Read, study, and apply the Bible to become a woman of the word👈🏻 The more time we spend with Jesus, who is the Word made flesh, the more the Bible soaks down into our souls. When it’s in us, God’s word will naturally pour out of us. That is how we are transformed from women of the world to women of the word. We learn the word of God and live it out!🕊 1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. Khalid feels BJP as a political force is evolving in #Jammu and #Kashmirand will bring in the integration that Kashmir needs. In his book, he says Kashmir’s aspirational youth are fed up of terrorism, which has destroyed its tourism and economy. They have no hopes of jobs, nor futures. Religious militancy is not what Kashmir is all about. He reiterates, Kashmiris have always practised the Islam of Sufis which is about syncretism. #Hizbul and Jamaat-e-Islami extremists call it kufr. Khalid’s marriage to a Christian girl from Thanjavur introduced him to the multi-religious, secular India. Though a #Muslim, he was married in a temple and in a church and he shared a meal with #HinduPriests and #ChristianFathers. It is Khalid’s quest for a secular democratic Kashmir that has brought forth this #book that profiles through a personal journey, a larger political perspective.
