Gregory Edgeworth Week 2021- Day 3: Summer
Phoenix, Larry, and Miles get bored on a summer's day at the Edgeworth household. Gregory takes them to the beach to cure their boredom.
Gregory Edgeworth Week is ran by @digitalstowaway!
Gregory looked at Miles, Phoenix and Larry who were sat on the sofa, bored out of their minds. It was a hot day, and they were all just inside. That needed to change.
"Who wants to go to the beach?!" Gregory offered, causing three heads to look at him with excitement.
"Yes please!" They chirped simultaneously.
Gregory looked at  and nodded.
"Then it's settled, let's go to the beach!"
"Yay!" the three friends cheered.
"But before we go, we need to put some sunscreen on." Gregory informed, causing the kids to groan.
"Whinge all you want, but I don't think your parents and I want to see you three looking like tomatoes."
After everyone had applied their sunscreen, they all went to Gregory's car.
"I'm going to sit in the back with my friends, father." Miles told Gregory.
"That's okay son." Gregory said as they all got into the car. Once everyone had strapped in, they drove off.
As Gregory drove, he put on a CD of summer hits. The beach was a short while away due to them living in the city. During the ride, the kids talked amongst themselves about a multitude of things; from the recent Signal Samurai episode, to what they were going to do on the beach. Occasionally they would sing along with the music during the during. Larry's singing however, sounded more like a dying seagull than singing. Gregory hummed to the music and tapped his left index finger against the steering wheel to the beat as he drove along.
When they eventually arrived at their destination, they felt hungry. It had been a while since lunch and dinner was a while away yet, so they decided on getting some ice-creams. Gregory chose a mint chocolate chip ice-cream and the others chose the a flavour of the special Signal Samurai ice-creams each. Miles had the Strawberry Signal Red ice-cream, Phoenix went for the Bubblegum Signal Blue ice-cream, and Larry chose the Vanilla Signal Yellow ice-cream. After they were finished eating, Gregory gave the others a wet wipe to wipe the mouths with.
"Thank you for the ice-cream!" the three kids thanked Gregory.
Gregory and the kids went back to the car to get the beach stuff out of the car. Two boyboards and the beach toys bag were carried between Miles and Phoenix, Larry carried a beach blanket and two bodyboards, and Gregory carried the tent and deck chairs. Each of them had a swimming bag with swimming trunks, a swim shirt, a beach shirt, waterproof shorts, goggles, a wetsuit, a towel, and a swimming hat in them. Gregory two backs around his shoulder. The first one  was a backpack filled with snacks, drinks, wipes, and a summer crime novel in it. The second bag was a big bagfulled with wetsuits zip-up fabric cases. He had made sure to pack Miles' spare swimming stuff because Phoenix and Larry hadn't brought theirs. They then walked down onto the beach and found a nice area in the shade. Gregory set up the tent, with a little help from the others holding down the other three pegs, and set up some deck chairs.
Everyone took turns to go in the tent and get into their wetsuits. Gregory helped to zip up the wetsuits, as the others couldn't reach backwards far enough to reach the zips.
"Are we ready to learn about bodyboarding?" he asked, to which the others shouted "Yes!"
The kids ran down to the ocean, chatting to each other as the ran. Gregory walked briskly behind them, trying to keep up without falling over any rocks embedded in the sand. Once he caught up with the others, they all waded out into a shallow area of the ocean.
"Now then." Gregory began, " For now we shall learn how to ride waves at waist height, to make sure you learn how to bodyboard in a safer area." The others nodded, eager to learn.
"Seeing that you are all excited to learn, let's get started." he continued, "First, hold your board straight out in front of you."
The others held out their boards ou in front of them.
"Good! Onto the next step!" Gregory instructed, "Next, make sure to look at the waves behind you as you hold your board." The others once again followed Gregory's lead.
"Before I explain how to get on the waves and ride them, first we need learn about keeping our balance when a big wave comes along."
A groan came from Larry, which was shortly interrupted by Miles elbowing him in the rib and lecturing him to stop being rude.
"As I was saying..." Gregory carried on, "When a big wave comes that you don't want to ride, jump up into the air, you won't feel as much force from the wave pushing you. Please try jumping over some of the slightly stronger waves that approach you here."
The children waited for the waves and began to jump over them. Larry struggled a bit at first, but Gregory helped him get the hang of it by explaining timing.
"Now, onto the step you've all been waiting for!" Gregory announced, "Riding the waves!"
The kids cheered in excitement.
"When a big wave you want to ride gets close, keep an eye on it." Gregory explained, "Right before the wave reaches you, jump flat onto your bodyboard, face forward, and kick your legs really fast. If done correctly, the wave can carry you back to the shore."
The others slowly nodded, slightly lost.
Gregory noticed this and offered to demonstrate it.
"I'll have to go slightly further into the water because I'm taller than you all and need deeper water so I can get on the board easier."
The kids agreed to watch the demonstration and Gregory waded slightly further out. Once Gregory found a wave approaching, he notified the others to keep watching, and the demonstrated what to do as the wave was about to reach him. He walked back to the others after he reached the shore.
"I shall give you the signal what to do when a good wave gets close." Gregory told the others. The others readied their boards.
"Good wave approaching!" Gregory called, "Keep an eye on it for now."
Everyone watched the wave approach.
When the wave got close, Gregory called out, "Face forward, hop on your board, and kick!" The others followed his instructions and managed to catch the wave rather well.
Gregory walked over to the three children who were now at the shore.
"That's was amazing!" Larry shouted.
Phoenix nodded his head, "I know right!"
"I agree!" Miles added, "That was fantastic!"
Gregory smiled at the excited chatter from the others.
"Wanna do some more practice runs?" he asked.
"YEAH!" the trio shouted in unison.
Gregory chuckled lightly.
"Let's go then."
An hour of practicing bodyboarding in the shallow waters and correcting simple mistakes later, they were ready to go deeper.
"Let's go further into the water." Gregory said, "Make sure to jump over bigger waves as you go further into the water, and stop a bit before your shoulders, so you're not in too deep."
They then waded out to a depth that was a bit below shoulder height for the children.
"Make sure to use more momentum when you jump and kick your legs harder out here." Gregory explained, "The waves are stronger here, which means you have to jump and kick harder."
He then guided them on riding the waves at the deeper depth until the others were more confident. The four spent the next few hours bodyboarding in the ocean and the occasional water splash fights.
When they were done, everyone walked back to the tent.
They got the towels out of their bags and wrapped it around themselves. Everyone
took turns to go in the tent to get out of their wet ocean clothes and into their dry shirts and shorts. The wetsuits were left to dry on the bodyboards, and the other wet clothes were wrapped up into each respective towel to keep them dry.
Gregory and the kids wiped their hands over and had some snacks and a drink. The afternoon was drawing to a close, so they only had an hour two on the beach to go.
The kids spent the next two hours making sandcastles and playing with beach toys, whilst Gregory kept a close eye on them and read some of the summer crime novel he had brought. At the end of the day, everyone helped to pack away the beach toys and the tent. Gregory packed away the wetsuits and the deck chairs. They all carried the same items as before back to the car.
Gregory's stomach grumbled, followed by three other stomachs grumbling. "Shall we get fish and chips from the fish and chips shop by the beach?
"Yes please!" the three kids cooed.
They went into the fish and chips shop, bought the fish and chips, and sat down on the small wall nearby to eat their food.
Within minutes, there was no evidence that food was in the cardboard boxes.
They stayed on the wall for a short while, watching the sun go down.
"It's a beautiful view out there." Miles spoke up.
Gregory smiled softly, happy to have had such a lovely day, "It sure is."

We all scream for...
Because i saw a comic on Instagram that tickled me,
~ ~ ~
Amity was bored, beyond bored actually. It was only noon and the shop had been fairly empty all day, but here she stood at the counter, staring out the front glass as rain splattered onto the empty boardwalk outside.
It was the height of summer but a sudden rainstorm had cleared the beach for the day, leaving her to listen to the ticking of the clock on the wall and the quiet whirring of the ice cream machines behind her. As much as she preferred not to interact with customers if she could help it, it at least made the time go by faster as opposed to just standing behind the register; waiting for something to happen or for her shift to end. There was only so many times she could wipe off the counter or fill the topping bins.
When her parents told her she would be working in the family's ice cream shop for the summer she had been less than thrilled.
Usually Emira and Edric worked in the shop, but since they were spending the time touring college campuses and getting ready for their fall semester it had fallen into Amity, who still had two years of high school to go and as her parents put it 'had plenty of free time on her hands'.
She slouched on the spotless counter and looked out at the ocean she could faintly see outside the front glass. Her manager, Lilith, was somewhere in the back office and had been for a while, otherwise she would be scolding the youngest Blight that 'if you have time to lean, you have time to clean.' She rolled her eyes at how many times she had heard that over the last month, though it was usually aimed at the other employees, Amity never let the older woman catch her slouching, least it get back to her parents; that was something she didn't want to deal with.
Given how slow it was she was the only one working in the shop today, so there wasn't even anyone to talk to, not that she was all that interested in most of her co-workers, who kept a healthy distance, knowing that her family owned it.
She sighed, huffing out some air to blow away the stray strands of mint colored hair that had fallen into her eyes.
Her friends were all off enjoying the beach, or traveling for the summer months, leaving her here to work away her vacation dealing with the rude, demanding public masses.
It never ceased to amaze her how bent out of shape people could get over ice cream, or anything really, but something as trivial as ice cream especially.
Amity made it a point before to be polite to retail workers, but after the last month she had become hyper aware of how much shit they really had to deal with on a daily basis.
Speaking of…
The bell above the door chimed and a middle aged woman with an umbrella chose that moment to walk into the shop, already looking less than pleased.
Amity inhaled deeply, preparing herself.
"Welcome to Blight Delight's," She greeted, putting on her best customer service persona.
The woman grunted in reply as she looked up at the menu board intently, mostly ignoring Amity.
After a long moment of looking at the board she finally turned her gaze to Amity
"I want a single dip of vanilla with hot fudge and extra nuts,"she said and Amity repeated the order back as she punched it into the register before telling her the total.
The woman grunted and handed over a bill that Amity quickly made the change for before moving to make the order.
The bell above the door chimed again but she didn't pay it any mind as she handed the woman her ice cream as she looked at her receipt, then back up at the board before back down at her receipt, frowning.
Never a good sign in Amity's relatively short experience.
She was right of course.
"You overcharged me." The woman looked at her, frowning bitterly like she'd been sucking on a lemon.
Amity quickly glanced over the last transaction on the register and the total was correct, she steeled herself
"No ma'am, that's correct." This was obviously the wrong thing to say to her as the woman's mouth puckered further.
"Your menu says that a single dip with two toppings should be 3.50 and you charged me 3.75." she huffed, holding up the receipt.
"Yes ma'am, but you asked for extra nuts and any extras are a twenty-five cent up charge," Amity patiently explained pointing up at the board where it was written in large, bold black letters for all to see.
"That is ridiculous, twenty-five cents for an extra handful of nuts?" The woman scowled, smacking her cup of ice cream on the counter. "For that I want more than this." She slid the cup back across to her.
"I can add more, but will be another twenty-five cents," Amity explained, frowning. It was going to be one of those days it seemed, and true to her hunch the woman was now glaring at her.
"This is unacceptable. How much can nuts possibly cost that a few more costs that much more?!" Her face was starting to turn red.
"That's the store policy ma'am…" Amity started before the woman cut her off.
"Does anyone else work here that I can speak to?" she demanded and Amity groaned inside, knowing what was coming next, it was the only way these types of interactions ever ended.
"I want to speak to your manager."
There it was.
It took everything in her power not to roll her eyes. It never ceased to amaze her no matter how many times it happened.
Amity's parents owned this shop, she knew the policies better than probably even Lilith, but no one was going to take the word of the sixteen year old working the register, clearly working here was not a clear indicator that she knew what she was doing.
"I can get her for you but…," Amity tried only to be cut off again.
"I also would like this remade, it's melting." The woman scowled, gesturing disdainfully to the cup of slowly but surely melting ice cream sitting between them with a hand as though it was a cup of mud Amity had tried to give her.
Of course it was melting, Amity thought. instead of just eating it you're arguing about a quarter over a handful of nuts.
Before Amity could say anything the woman was talking again.
"Well, are you going to-"
The loud sound of metal tinkling on glass cut off anything she was saying.
Amity blinked, turning toward the noise.
A few feet away, was a girl that looked about her age, wearing a purple beanie pulled down over dark brown hair, a white and purple striped t-shirt and ripped jeans dropping change into the tip jar sitting on the counter.
The last coin jingled to the bottom of the jar the woman in front of her turned back to her mouth opening to continue her rant
"Well, are you-"
Again the sound of coins tinkling on glass cut off anything she was going to say. She turned to the teen standing nearby and glared.
"Do you mind?" she spat, and the teen looked at her.
"No," she said innocently, pulling a roll of coins out of her pocket and peeling away the paper. Amity blinked as she watched the girl before her attention was pulled back to the woman in front of her as she turned back to Amity, scowling.
"I-" was all she got out before more coins drowned out whatever she was going to say.
"What do you think you're doing?!" The woman finally turned fully to face the girl standing a couple feet away.
"Tipping her," she said nonchalantly with a shrug.
Amity swore she could see a vein bulging in the woman's neck.
"And what exactly are you tipping her for?" she hissed.
"Doing her job"
"Exactly what part of her job is she doing?" The vein bulged.
The girl hummed thoughtfully before turning to look at the woman, smiling innocently.
"Patiently listening to your bullshit."
The woman made a choked sound and Amity had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing.
"Excuse me?!" The woman's face had turned an astounding shade of red, and it looked like she might explode any second.
The girl just looked back at her, blinking.
"Listen to me you…" she started but the girl held up a hand.
"I don't work here, so…," she said and shrugged. Amity bit harder to keep her mouth closed.
The woman sputtered like she had a leak before letting out a disgruntled noise and smacked the cup of ice cream off the counter before turning and storming out of the shop without so much as a backward glance.
The girl bent down to pick up the cup and threw it in the trash can a foot away.
"Guess she didn't want it after all," she said and looked at Amity. "Sorry about the mess." She smiled sheepishly.
Amity let herself smile back, more than a little amused.
"It's okay… thank you."
The girl grinned and it was incredibly bright, Amity's heart gave a hard thump.
"Aw, it was nothing, I'm sorry you have to deal with people like that."
"It happens." Amity shrugged, suddenly feeling a little flustered now that she was alone with the girl standing on the other side of the counter. "Can I get you something?" she asked.
"Do you have anything dairy free?" She asked, tilting her head questioningly and Amity couldn't help but think it was cute.
"All these sherberts are." She pointed down at the glass case that had all the dairy free flavors.
"Ohh…" her tongue poked out of her mouth thoughtfully. "Can I get a cup of strawberry?" She pointed, finger pressing into the glass and looking up at her.
Amity quickly scooped it into a cup and handed it over to her.
"Thanks, how much?" She started to reach for her wallet.
"On the house," Amity quickly spat out and the girl blinked at her with big, dark brown eyes that reminded Amity of the coffee flavor in the case in front of her.
"Ya sure?" she asked and Amity nodded sharply.
"Yeah" she pushed a loose strand of hair back behind one of her ears.
"Thanks!" The girl smiled and turned to go, waving back at Amity as she walked out the door, back into the lightly falling rain, the bell jingling merrily as she left.
Amity let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding as the girl left.
'she was cute…'
Lillith chose that moment to walk out of the back and immediately spotted the ice cream still splattered across the black linoleum floor.
"Why is there ice cream on the floor?" she asked, startling Amity, who jumped at her managers voice.
"Unhappy customer" she shrugged.
Lilith hummed.
"Well, get it mopped up," she said, before returning to the back room.
Amity wheeled out the mop and cleaned up the mess, but for the rest of the afternoon all she could think about was the girl and her bright smile.

AO3
Since the day had been so much more eventful than usual, the boys had decided to head home a little earlier than usual, Tommy insisting on being carried the whole way. He had been whining about his shoes hurting his feet but Phil knew he was probably just upset from all the fighting and needed some reassurance that they were all happy again now. Anyway, it wasn’t as if Phil really minded carrying him at all, albeit he was tall for his age, he was still relatively light.
Once home, all four of them seemed to loiter in the kitchen, nobody really wanting to disperse out in case something bad happened again. Eventually Phil just sighed and started making dinner, deciding that they deserved a proper cooked meal instead of the stuff from Uber eats, he wasn’t exactly a chef though and he didn’t have the widest array of ingredients to choose from so in the end he chose to just make some chicken pasta. It was quick and easy but more importantly it would keep his brothers fed.
“Toms, you wanna help with the sauce?”
Usually Tommy loved helping make meals, going off pouting and whining if he was told he wasn’t able to help. This time was a bit different though, he hadn’t jumped up and sprinted to the oven like Phil had predicted, he hadn’t given him that iconic grin that he always seemed to have plastered on his face. No, instead he got up solemnly and nodded, walking over to where Phil was standing. It was an adorable sight but it would be flat out irresponsible to keep him up when he was so obviously exhausted from the day, Phil would be lying if he said he wasn’t too.
“Oh okay bud, you wanna have a nap before dinner?” Phil chuckled and turned the heating down on the stove before trying to gently guide the youngest into the living room to lay down.
“Nooooo” Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, Tommy tried to squirm his way back into the kitchen, wanting to hang out with his brothers “Philll...Come onnn Phillll I’m not a baby I can stay awake”
“Didn’t say you were, naps aren’t just for babies Toms” Phil chuckled at the irony of having to reassure a seven year old he wasn’t being babyish “Come on bud, I’ll wake you up before dinner, you just seem very sleepy, I don’t want you to get sick or anything”
“I’ll go to bed early! C’monnn” He carried on whining until Phil stopped trying to guide him out of the room and instead just crouched down beside him, getting him to lay down obviously wasn’t working so he wanted to try a different approach.
Phil held out his pinky finger
“Okay how about this, I pinky promise that I won't force you to lay down for a nap if you tell me what’s going on”
“‘M worried” Head tilted to the floor, Tommy mumbled his response as he linked his pinky with Phil’s “Don’t want anyone to get hurt or sad again”
Oh. Phil’s heart swelled up so much that he was sure it was about to break, pulling Tommy into a hug and giving him a little kiss on the forehead, Phil tried his very best to reassure him that everything was going to be okay with Wil and Techno. It was hard, these were the kind of moments where he wished the adults in their lives were a bit more prevalent, it would help so much to have a parent around right now, someone who knew what the best thing to say would be.
“Oh Tommy” Phil had breathed out as he hugged his small body close, arms wrapped around him protectively. “Techno and Wil are gonna be okay, Wil’s just a bit shaken up right now, he needs a lot of comfort from Tech’ to feel happy right now but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to be happy, just that Techno needs to be here for it.”
Tommy nodded into his chest, glancing over at his other two brothers who were still at the table “But what if he never ever feels good again?”
“He will, I can add that onto the pinky promise, he just loves Techno lots and lots and he got very scared when Techno wasn’t there, you understand that part right?” after getting a little nod from Tommy, Phil continued “Well after a scare that big it’s hard to go back to normal straight away isn’t it? Remember when you watched that scary movie and you couldn’t sleep alone for a week? It’s that type of scared” The analogy of the scary movie seemed to help it snap in, Tommy nodding with a little smile spread on his cheeks.
“So...he’s scared of Tech’ getting stuck again? So he wants to stay with him?” Phil nodded and Tommy grinned “I’m gonna make sure Techno never gets stuck anywhere ever again! Then Wil won't be upset!”
After that, Phil had given up entirely on trying to get Tommy to rest, letting him just sit with his brothers since that seemed to make him happy anyway, just going back to cooking the dinner for the boys.
At some point during the time it took to cook the meal, Wilbur and Techno had gone off upstairs, causing Tommy to pout and slouch over the table, only to return again when Wilbur had retrieved his guitar. The mood in the kitchen was soft, everyone was comfortable since thighs were okay now but there was still the underlying feeling of just being so exhausted that nobody really felt like talking much. That was fine though, Phil was sure he’d develop a headache if the house was as loud as it normally was.
“Any requests?” Wil had smiled as he cautiously let go of Techno’s hand, moving to hold his guitar properly. Since Techno hadn’t immediately gone to holding his arm, presumably thinking Wil wanted the contact to stop, Wil gently took Techno’s hand and moved it onto his arm so there was still contact even when he was playing his music. An almost inaudible apology came from Techno, clearly purposeful so Wil would know it was for him.
“Do the girl one!” Tommy perked up, sitting on his knees as he looked up at his brother with big eyes, full of adoration “Vienna! Do that one!”
Wil smiled as slid his hand on the fretboard until it was in the right position, starting to strum quietly and sing along, at some point Tommy had decided to join in too, singing the second verse with him, albeit a little off key but it was an incredibly sweet moment. The next song had come without the need to stop and ask for requests, knowing Tommy would stop him if he thought of anything he really wanted to hear.
“I think this time I’m dying. I’m not melodramatic” Wil had started, Phil was well aware how dark some of the lyrics to his songs were but he didn’t see a reason to intervene, music was a good outlet for him to get rid of any nasty feelings, plus Techno had mentioned before how sometimes their therapist looked at them to get a wider view on how Wilbur was doing since he sometimes found it hard to articulate messy feelings. Honestly, Phil was proud that he had come up with such a healthy way of sorting his thoughts out.
Halfway through Saline Solution, Phil had placed each boy’s food on the table, taking into account what portions they each preferred and whether they liked cheese on their pasta or not. Wil finished up the song and placed his guitar to lean against the wall behind him, going back to holding Techno’s hand, well aware of how awkward it was going to be to eat with his left hand. At least it was pasta though, he could just stab it with the fork, eating that with his left hand wouldn’t be too hard.
Dinner was quiet too, there was no tension or awkwardness, just a steady feeling of comfortable silence as everyone ate their food. As always, Tommy had wolfed his down first and was now gulping down his water, whining about not being a kid when Phil insisted on wiping the sauce from around his face. Next was Techno, then Phil and then finally Wilbur was finished too. The meal had been simple but it was clear from the way everyone cleared their bowls that it had been much appreciated.
“I recall promising Ice cream and a movie, you guys go in and choose the movie and I’ll clean up in here and get the Ice cream”
Wilbur seemed to look a little hesitant about leaving the room at first, shifting his eyes between the door and Phil a couple times before Techno gave his hand a reassuring squeeze and he was filled with the courage to go without the guaranteed protection of his big brother.
Phil stuck to his word, cleaning out each dish and placing them on the drying rack before getting each boy a bowl of ice cream, Mint for himself, Vanilla for Tommy, Chocolate for Wilbur and Raspberry for Techno. Everyone got some sprinkles, a flake and strawberry syrup over their dessert as well, well almost everyone since Wilbur’s bowl got Chocolate syrup instead. Going into the living room, he saw that the boys had chosen to watch Ponyo. It was a cute movie really, he remembered when Wilbur and Techno were still little, around Tommy’s age, saying that Techno was Ponyo and Wil was Sosuke all because they were going to be best friends forever too.
This movie definitely brought back some good memories.
The four of them snuggled up on the couch as the movie started playing, the dubbed one of course since Tommy was still learning to read. “This is nice,” Phil sighed as he relaxed into the comfort of his family, feeling the soft fabric of Wilbur’s jumper brush against him.
The movie had sufficiently cheered everyone up it seemed, there were lots of sleepy smiles filling the room. Phil thought the name of the ‘sleepy bois’ was still extremely perfect. It had been Techno’s idea to go up and get an early night’s sleep and everyone seemed to agree, Tommy was due one anyway since he had insisted on not needing a nap, he definitely looked like he was regretting that now as his head kept dropping every few seconds. It was sweet but it also meant Phil was going to have to carry him up.
“C’mon Toms” Phil chuckled as he lifted him up, trailing behind Wilbur and Techno as everyone went to brush their teeth, Phil needing to half wrestle Tommy to do it since he was practically falling asleep where he was. Eventually though, the boy had clean teeth, a washed face and was changed into his pyjamas and finally Phil was able to set him into bed. “Night bud, you were really good today, I’m super proud of you” With one last hug, Phil left the room to go and say goodnight to the twins too.
-----
“Hey Tech’?” Wilbur mumbled after Phil had left, carefully placing his guitar back on the wall “I know we’re getting a bit uh.. I know we’re getting a bit old for this but man you know how today was just really...bad?”
“Fucking hell Wil, Yes you can sleep with me, you don’t need to dodge the question. Plus, I thought it would just be assumed by now, I’m hardly going to force you to get freaked out on your own”
Wil grinned and nodded, thanking Techno before sitting down on the bottom bunk, leaning against Techno when he sat down
“You’re still stiff” Techno stated as he placed a hand comfortingly on Wilbur’s hair “You don’t need to worry, I’m not planning on going anywhere. Today only happened because I got overwhelmed, I’d never purposefully make you go through this”
Wilbur nodded, burying his head in Techno’s shoulder as he sighed, trying to compose himself a bit more before he spoke.
“I know. I should have listened to you too. I got so angry that I forgot I was doing it to protect you guys and ended up hurting you instead.”
Sighing, Techno flopped backwards on the bed, life was complicated and weird sometimes.
“It’s fine Wil, I already said I’m not mad, you were just frustrated. You’ll be fine though, nobody’s planning on hurting anyone anymore. On Wednesday we -or maybe really just you guys- will talk to the Dream Team about everything that’s been happening. It’ll be okay.”
The conversation was caught short by a small knock on their door, and then a little head of blonde hair peeking through as Tommy slowly opened it, still not really understanding that you needed to wait after knocking. A visit from the boy had been surprising, considering how he had been struggling to even hold himself up earlier.
“Guys?” He mumbled as he walked in, closing the door behind him, a plush pig Techno had got for him one year held in his arms. “I got worried. I couldn’t sleep”
Making sure to grab Wilbur’s hand first, Techno got up and gently led the boy onto the bed with them.
“Hang out with us for a bit then, we won't tell Phil if you end up staying up late, it’s hardly your fault if you can’t sleep” Wil hummed, making no effort to scooch across on the bed. He loved Tommy but he was not going to move away from Techno just so Tommy could be in the middle. Eventually they ended up with Tommy by the wall, Techno in the middle and Wil on the outside. It was a squish considering it was a twin sized bed but once Tommy moved to be laying on Techno’s chest than the bed, it was a lot more comfortable and snuggly for everyone.
“Toms do you wanna watch Up? That’s your favourite film right?”
The boy nodded excitedly, squirming over his older siblings to be the first one to grab the laptop off the nightstand.
Nobody had really meant to fall asleep like that but they had, Techno’s hair was an absolute state in the morning since he hadn’t even braided it before going to bed. While the wake up of being cuddled from all sides was kinda nice, he absolutely didn’t want it every night if he would need to spend an hour doing his very simple hairdo in the morning. For once though, Phil hadn’t forgotten his phone and when he went to wake up the boys, he couldn’t help but snap a picture to keep as a memory for when they were older. The view of them all cuddled up had just been way too sweet!
That being said, they were late for school.

When it comes to diets, many, many questions come to our minds, but the reality is that that is not an absolute truth about it.
When choosing a diet, it is essential to think about some factors. What is your objective? What changes will you have to make in your routine? Can you keep those new eating habits?
I decided to adhere a diet called Soup Diet or Cabbage soup diet.
I heard about this diet years ago, back home, and recently I saw it again at a website I enjoy visiting from time to time - https://divascancook.com/
I decided then to give it a try.
It sounds challenging, and it is indeed.
This diet is very restrictive, but it claims to help you detox your system, also helping you to put some extra pounds off.
The challenge relies on the fact that you won't consume any gluten, eggs and added sugar.
The idea is not to change your eating habits, but give one week to your body to go enter on a cleansing mode.
The calorie ingestion is low, and the ingredients are restricted. You should eat cabbage soup every day, and well, it can be difficult.
I decided to give it a try and, as a chef, use my creativity to make this "sad" diet a little less boring.
The diet pattern is:
Tumblr media
retrieved from:https://divascancook.com/wonder-soup-recipe-weight-loss-soup-7-day-diet-cabbage-soup/
As you can see, the diet plan is very straightforward. My goal was to follow it accordingly, changing some details to make the meals more pleasant and appealing.
To start this diet, the first step is to make the Cabbage soup, also called the wonder soup.
I took the recipe from https://divascancook.com/
Here it is:
Wonder Soup
Ingredients
1/2 head of Cabbage chopped
1 cup celery diced
1 cup white or yellow onion diced
1 cup carrots diced
1 green bell pepper diced
2-3 cloves garlic minced
4 cups chicken broth
14 oz can basil oregano, garlic diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
few shakes of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt optional
Instructions
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add celery, onions, bell peppers, and carrots.
Saute until slightly tender.
Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth.
Stir in tomatoes and Cabbage.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer.
Cook until Cabbage is tender.
Stir in oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper and salt (if using)
Taste broth and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve and enjoy!
For my soup, I made some small but relevant modifications.
Starting by the cabbage, the star of the dish.
I decided to roast it with curry powder, cumin and smoked paprika. The intention os to add complexity and depth of flavour to a soup that would be my lunch and dinner for the next week
It worked very well. The Cabbage came out of the oven, releasing a smoky and delicious aroma, that aggregated a great flavour to the soup.

I also added cremini and king oyster mushrooms in order to add texture and umami flavour.
Once you have your soup ready, i’s time to start.
Below is the resume of my first three days:
Day 1
During this day, we are supposed to have only fruits (except bananas) and soup.
I didn't include any prohibited ingredients, just changed the way they were presented.
Breakfast
I started my day with warmed apples and pears, seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg.
The fruit's warm temperature, soft texture, and spicy fragrance made this meal much more pleasant and comforting.
I also had a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

Lunch
For lunch I had a big bowl of soup.

Snack
My snack was a big bowl of fruit salad and topped with sugar-free rustic red berries  coulis.
The fruits I chose were:
Cantaloupe, orange, fresh strawberries and blueberries.
Tumblr media
Silva, S.(photographer). Downtown, Toronto, ON.
The sugar-free coulis is very easy to make and can work very well with yogurt, cakes, ice cream.
Here is the recipe:
Sugar- free red berries coulis
1 cup of frozen red berries ( cherries, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)
3 tbsps powdered stevia/erythritol
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
Method
- In a pot add the powdered stevia/ erithritol and melt it in medium heat
- Once they are melted, add the fruits, vanilla and salt
-Let them cook for about 20 minutes in low heat
- If you want it to be rustic, let them cool down and use it as you please
- If you want it more fluid and smoothe, blend it once it is coll and strain it.
- Keep it in the fridge for 5-7 days.
Dinner
For dinner I had another big bowl of soup (same as lunch) and a bowl of mangoes with mint.Very simple but delicious and fresh.

Day 2
Breakfast
Day two is supposed to start with a baked potato. I decided to make a potato patty instead. I didn't add any cheese or other ingredients because it would modify a lot, however, it made my breakfast a bit fancier.
Tumblr media
Silva, S.(photographer). Downtown, Toronto, ON.
For the potato patties here is the recipe:
 Ingredients:
1 boiled potato
Half onion
Half red bell pepper
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Method:
Start by boiled the potato until it is very soft
Sweat the onions and red bell pepper with a little olive oil. salt and pepper.
Once the potato is soft, smash it with a fork until it becomes a puree.
Add the onions and red bell pepper and season it with salt and pepper.
Use your hand to shape the potato mixture into small patties. The size is up to you.
On a pan, drizzle some olive oil and brown the patties in both sides. About 5 minutes, 2.5 minutes each side.
Lunch
For lunch I had a big bowl of soup
Snack
 Carrot chips.
I just sliced them really thin, put a  bit of salt and baked for 30 min (200 F).

Dinner
Since it was the vegetable day, I had a big bowl of soup and I made a coulifower “rice”, together with baked heart of palms, arparagus and a tomato, mango and mint salad.
Tumblr media
Silva, S.(photographer). Downtown, Toronto, ON.
The couliflower “rice is a very good low-carb option for a light and guity free meal.
Here is the recipe:
Couliflowe “rice”
1 couliflower
1tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1/2 onion
1/2 yellow bell pepper
Smoked paprika
Lemon juice
1 1/2 cup chicken stock
Parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Clean the couliflower and process it in a food processor or blender. The idea is to minced it so it looks like rice grains.
Cut the onions and yellow bell pepper bruinoise
Chop the parsley
In a pot drizzle the olive oil
Sweat the onion and add the garlic
Add the yellow bell pepper and cook it for about 2 min
Add the cauliflower and blend all the ingredients well and season them with salt and papper
Add the paprika and lemon juice, mix well
Pour the chicken stock and let it be all absorbed by the “rice”.
When there’s no more liquid, your couliflower rice is ready.
Garnish it with parsley and enjoy.
Day 3
Breakfast
A bowl of apples with a whey protein sauce and cinnamom.
I cheated a bit with this whey protein sauce, but I was missing some kind of protein.
It is a good way to complement your fruit salad or cut fruit of your preference. You just need blend together 1 scoop of whey vanilla whey protein, and 1/2 scoop of water. Mix them together and use it as a sauce.
Tumblr media
    Silva, S.(photographer). Downtown, Toronto, ON.
Lunch
For lunch I had a big bowl of soup.
Dinner
For dinner I had a big bowl of soup and salad. My salad had mangoes and raspberries, since it was the veggie/ fruit day
Tumblr media
Silva, S.(photographer). Downtown, Toronto, ON.
Day 4, 5, 6 and 7 I followed the guide without any alterations. I wanted to see how challenging it would be.
My Experience
This was a tough week.
Although I love soup, fruits, vegetables and chicken, this diet is to restrict for me to say that I liked it.
The first day was really good, actually, because I felt lighter, and I really didn’t feel hungry or anything.
The second day was harder but manageable.
From the 3 day on, I felt much hungrier than usual and craving for something more substantial.
What I realized is that those strict diets shouldn’t last long.
If you want to lose some weight fast for a special occasion or feel the need to do a detox, go for it. But now, more than ever, I realize the importance of balance.
Having the same soup for lunch and dinner for 7 days is not ideal.
Balance is everything, and it needs to be the guide for any diet we want to try.
Advice
My advice for the ones who want to try the soup diet is: increment your fruits/ veggies.
Try different cooking methods, pay attention to the presentation and vary them as much as you can.
Since you are eating mostly fruits and veggies for 7 days, try to incorporate different flavours, textures and temperatures. It is really important if you want to keep on track.
Also, don’t follow this diet for more than 7 days.
After one week, try no to eat super heavy meals. Reincorporate grains, dairy and proteins gradually.
You will lose some weight, so keep eating healthy if you want to keep the results.
Don’t forget to drink lots of water.
I don’t recommend this diet to people who do lots of exercises or the ones who have a stressful routine; the reduced amount of calories ingested can be insufficient for this kind of people, leading them to feel super tired, so their performance can be affected.
Would I continue with my choice?
Since this diet is not supposed to be followed as a lifestyle, I definitely wouldn’t keep following it.
However, whenever I feel I need a little detox, I may recur to it again.
More than ever, I see the importance of good food in our lives. Eating well, with pleasure, it’s groundbreaking.
I’m sure I am in the right industry because providing people with good food is really special.

Hello Luna and welcome to New Orleans, the city of The Damned. Thank you so much for applying, you have been successful for the role of Elena Gilbert. Welcome to the family, but for now it’s time to get down to business…
Head on over to the New Member Checklist, careful not to go down any dark alleys, it’s not safe here.
OUT OF CHARACTER:
Name: Luna
Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 22
Timezone/Country: EST/USA
Triggers: RFP
Activity Level: 8 I would count my activity level at a high 8 because I am currently on my summer break and classes do not begin for me until late August. Even though I know I would be able to continue my activity because I am not currently taking a job between classes this semester. I’ve been a rp’er for around +11 years now so I have a pretty good handle on how to balance RP and IRL.
How Did You Hear About Us: I was just searching through the TVD RP + TO RP tags and found an ad for this RPG. I really liked the layout and the combo of three big tv shows. I’ve never been in a RPG where it also featured TW RP and wanted to try it.
Anything Else?: I’m excited to start writing if I’m accepted!
DESIRED CHARACTER:
Desired Character: Elena Gilbert
Why This Character?: I chose to RP as Elena because I always admired her spunk and dedication to her family. I adored watching through the series, through the smiles and tears and frustrating character twists. She’s so human. So naive and young and unsure in a world where someone could kill her in a blink. She takes it head on for her friends, for her brother, and in the memory of the parents she lost. And even the changes she goes through, i.e. turning into a vampire, she learns to live with the best of it and work on the worst of it.
Any FC Changes?: Nope!
Ships/Anti-ships: Here’s the age old question: Stelena or Delena? I’d definitely say throughout the series I was 80% Stelena shipper. During certain points I began to find myself leaning towards Delena a bit more, but that was very much towards the end. Each ship had their ups and downs but I’ll always love that ‘epic love’ the two had. When it comes to a character that isn’t named Salvatore, Elena would definitely fall for the kindhearted do gooder. She wants and needs more light in her world so someone who can be a positive influence would definitely be the path she walks down.
Headcanons: W: There was a time that simply writing the letter W felt like it knocked the air out of Elena’s chest. W, w, w. ‘Say it,’ she’d force herself. ‘Wickery Bridge.’ A girl who lived and breathed every moment of her life in her journal was defeated by the letter W. It began a word that never meant anything more than a way in and out of town, but now was like a brand on her heart. There were pages of just the letter following the crash and funeral. W.. W.. Wick. No, scratched out. Slowly but surely, the word Wickery Bridge was written down. “My parents died on Wickery Bridge.” BREAKUP: Following the days Elena broke up with her high school sweetheart, Love Song by Sara Bareilles played on the radio nonstop. At first, it absolutely annoyed her. How upbeat it was while she was nothing but bummed out. Every station played it eventually, she couldn’t run and walking was getting annoying when she had to carry so much biology homework home. Eventually, she gave in one night on the way home from cheer practice and gave the song a listen. She thought about seeing her ex-sweetheart on the field catching passes while Caroline barked out orders in her peppy voice. After awhile she stopped changing it. Fingers slowly started tapping on the wheel, her head followed suit. Humming turned into full blown rocking out with her hair going everywhere and a huge smile on her face. One night her and Bonnie were dancing and singing in Elena’s car when she took the next line. “I’m not gonna write you to stay. If your heart is nowhere in it, I don’t want it for a minute!” Unfortunately, he and some friends were walking to their cars. Ouch. ICE CREAM: As little girls, Caroline coordinated the flavors the three of them would eat. Strawberry for Bonnie, Vanilla for Caroline, and Chocolate for Elena. The three would have Neapolitan ice cream for every single birthday from ages 5 to 15. Luckily, it was their favorites already but Caroline liked to take the credit for it. In secret though, Elena would get a mint chocolate chip. She never got it in front of the other girls, not even wanting the smallest little thing to disappoint Caroline and their familiar dynamic.
Please Provide At Least One: Moodboard & Playlist
CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE:
How Does Your Character Feel About The Peace Treaty?: Elena is entirely for the treaty. Her life has been thrown upside down ever since she found out that those she loves most are Supernatural; Bonnie and Caroline, Witch and Vampire, respectively. If there are rules set in place, that she may or may not be very naive about, she believes it can help protect them. She also thinks it might help her friends in more ways than just protecting them. Perhaps it will help them with control and staying out of bad situations brought on by their new nature.
Slice of Life: ‘Dear Diary..’ Elena’s day must always start with a journal entry unless she’s overslept and is running late to classes at NOU. She always sits to the left of Bonnie with Caroline on the right in class, listening to what gossip Caroline has at the time trickle down to her. Pay attention, absorb information, hold back the occasional giggle as Bonnie makes a comment at their professors horrible toupee. Elena always makes sure to enjoy every laugh, breath, smile given and received. Life is difference once you’ve lost people, you appreciate it more. And she very much appreciates the mundane even more now that it’s less and less prevalent in her life. Following classes is a bit of relaxing in the grass on campus, either alone or with her two best friends as usual. Work comes at night in the form of a waitress at Rousseau’s, walking there with fellow employee Cami O’Connell. She helps keep the weird ones at bay while Elena gets her footing there. She tries with all her might to close her eyes and picture the Grill back in Mystic Falls but she knows there’s far worse here than just the regular drinkers back in Virginia.
What is Your Character’s Greatest Fear? How Does This Affect Your Character?: What’s a greatest fear that’s already come true? The life of Elena Gilbert. Fear never goes away– it grows, transforms. First it was her parents, extensions of her heart ripped away. That was a living nightmare. Once grieving packed up and left ( or does it? do we ever stop grieving or does it go away for awhile? ) she latched onto the last extension of her heart, Jeremy. She began to have nightmares of losing him as well, wishing more than nothing to crawl into bed and hold her little brother tight and never let go. Elena often wonders if this is what it’s like to be a parent, often seeing Jeremy as a mixture of her little brother and someone who she needs to protect and take care of as a parent would do. Thus, her new greatest fear is losing him. But just beneath the surface, just barely hiding, is a fear that is so buried it’s almost forgotten about. Almost. Elena fears losing herself along the way. Who will care for Jeremy? Who will take care of Caroline while she’s transitioning and adjusting? Who will bring Bonnie down to earth when she gets too carried away with spells? She anchors herself to who she is by holding onto those around her so tightly that she might be suffocating them as well.

📍✈️Traveling to Bali: Part 3 - Seminyak, Bali (Day 6 & 7)
Tumblr media
Hey there! 🤗 This will be the last part of my Bali experience last November 2018.
Days 6 to 7 was spent in Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia. We decided to shorten our stay here last November 2018 since Seminyak is near the beach and there were Tsunami and Earthquake news that we heard during that time.
Two whole days in Seminyak were mostly spent on eating, eating and eating! 😅 This travel vlog will probably will look more like a food vlog so, enjoy!
DAY 6 November 26, 2018
SISTERFIELDS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s the menu of Sisterfields in Seminyak. Mainly, they dishes for breakfast.
Tumblr media
1st breakfast at Seminyak, I ordered Sisterfields Big Breakfast and a Strawberry Milkshake.
Sisterfields Big Breakfast costs IDR 130,000 (PHP 481). As per their description, it has eggs your way, bacon, mushroom, roasted tomato, potato rosti, hollandaise, sourdough and the Strawberry Milkshake costs IDR 40,000 (PHP 148).
It is a little pricey, however, serving was big as if it is for 2 people. I was just trying to finish it all since I was full before I could finish my meal.
Tumblr media
A little toilet break and their restrooms were actually pretty. This was shot inside their toilet.
After our breakfast, we decided to visit Love Anchor in Canggu, Bali.
LOVE ANCHOR
Tumblr media
We found out about Love Anchor through Laureen Uy’s Bali vlog and learned that its a place where you can shop.
Going to Love Anchor, we took a cab from Seminyak to Canggu. If I remember it right, it was around IDR 100, 000 - 150,000 (PHP 370 - 555) for the taxi fare. The cab we rode was good for 6 persons. It took us about an hour or more for us to arrive at Love Anchor since it was a little traffic during that time.
Tumblr media
There were cafes and restaurants in Love Anchor but we didn’t try them since we were still very full from our breakfast.
At the end of Love Anchor, was a bazaar. They were selling bags, clothes, accessories, and more. It was a little more expensive compared in Ubud. So if ever you would want to shop, I suggest to shop in Ubud Art Market instead.
Afterwards, we walked around the area and saw Mad Pops.
MAD POPS
Tumblr media
Mad Pops is known for its delicious gelatos.
Tumblr media
Mad Pops has a lot of variety to choose from. You can even try their flavors first before ordering.
Tumblr media
However, Whisky Cream from Oh My Cone is still the best for me! 😍
Tumblr media
If I remember it correctly, I ordered Mint Chocolate Chip and Rainbow Coconut. 🍨 It costs IDR 45,000 (PHP 166.50) for two flavor.
After spending some hours around Canggu, we decided to go back to Seminyak and have our late lunch at around 4 in the afternoon.
BATIK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Decided to eat at Batik for its interiors. We saw a couple of amazing reviews about its food and decors that made us decide to eat here.
Tumblr media
The staff are very nice at Batik. They even suggested us to go up, look at their 2nd floor, and we could even take some photos there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some photos we took on their 2nd floor.
Tumblr media
I want to have a taste of all Bali food and tried their Nasi Campur. One Nasi Campur costs IDR 90,000 (PHP 333). A meal includes a small sample Indonesian dishes. As I remember, it has chicken satay some chips, vegetables, and a dish that tastes like Caldereta.
Not in the photo, but I also ordered a refreshing Strawberry Pleasure that costs IDR 45,000 (PHP 166.50). The juice includes strawberry, orange, and mint.
After having our late lunch, we decided to go back to Casa Kayu Aya to have a rest and freshen up for Motel Mexicola.
MOTEL MEXICOLA
Tumblr media
Motel Mexicola was a 10 to 15-minute walk from our hotel. It was a must to have a reservation here to have seats instantly and to avoid waiting in line.
Tumblr media
It is an open place however, there were fans and air conditions around the place.
Tumblr media
Here’s how the seats are divided on our side looks like.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My opinion about Motel Mexicola is that there were no blogs or vlogs that mentioned that it is not a good place for asthmatics like me. 😅 The smell of smoke was all over the place (even in the toilets!), and it was overly crowded like the people they let in was not controlled.
The alcoholic drinks and food was so-so, and quite overly priced for its quality. There’s not even a hint of alcohol for their alcoholic drinks. We spent a total of IDR 2,047,980 (PHP 7,577.526) including tax and service charge for our 2-hr stay in Motel Mexicola. The following items were our orders:
9 cocktails - IDR130,000/ea (PHP 481/ea)
2 Calamares - IDR 85,000/ea (PHP 314.50/ea)
2 Guacamole - IDR 50,000/ea (PHP 185/ea)
2 Que Conchinita - IDR 85,000/ea (PHP 314.50/ea)
2 Que Queso - IDR 65,000/ea (PHP 240.50/ea)
Service was also quite poor since the same waiter keeps asking us to order more drinks. We know it’s business however, I think it was rude to ask every time the waiter passes by our table and sees we almost finish our drinks to ask if we would want to order. Also, the approach of asking if we would want more was not kindly done.
Personally, I think I won’t come back to Motel Mexicola again during nighttime.
DAY 7 November 27, 2018
REVOLVER ESPRESSO
Tumblr media
Breakfast on our last day in Bali was spent in The Revolver. I wasn’t able to take a lot of photos of the place since we were hungry and it was a little dark in our area. You can have sneak peek on the place on my vlog at the end of the post.
Tumblr media
For my morning drink, instead of the regular coffee or hot chococolate, I got to try their Coolers since it was a sunny day. I ordered Poison Ivy that has organic roselle, dried hibiscus, lime, bitters, and soda in it. One drink costs IDR 45,000 (PHP 166.50)
Tumblr media
Breakfast meal for me was The Mother Clucker on the left side most of the photo above. A order consists of a southern fried chicken burger, smoked cheddar, pickles, lettuce slaw, jalapeno & buttermilk dressing, and a black bun. One order consists of IDR 95, 000 (PHP 351.50).
I wasn’t able to get all of my other 4 friends’ order since it was a bit difficult to take photos. However, I got to take a photo of one of my friends’ meal that morning which was Underbelly. The Underbelly consisted of glazed thick cut bacon, fried eggs, chorizo sausage, house baked beans, rosti, mushroom duxelle, sourdough that costs IDR 120, 000 (PHP 444).
We ordered an extra dish to be shared by all which was Ammo. Ammo consisted of Tiramisu hotcakes, white chocolate mascarone, coffee ice cream, coffee jelly, with chocolate powder for IDR 95, 000 (PHP 351.500).
Overall, The Revolver Espresso was a good experience to dine in. Staff were very accommodating and food was very delicious. I highly suggest to try their Poison Ivy drink and Ammo pancakes, it will be worth it!
W BALI: WOOBAR
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Woobar is located inside the W Bali hotel. We had our reservation for the daybed, however, we were transferred first inside since it was raining that time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My friend and I ordered one from their promos which ‘Pick The Best.’ It was a promo staring from 11am until 10pm. A ordered included one pizza or burger, one hot or cold tapas selection, and unlimited softdrinks (which could be interchange with other soda options/brands). One promo costs IDR 265, 000 (PHP 980.50).
We chose to order Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wings (sweet soy glaze, sesame seeds, coriander, lime), and a Pepperoni Pizza. Our drinks were either 7-Up or Pepsi Blue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We waited for time to be 4 in the afternoon since the staff mentioned a promo of a two drinks for the price of one on their signature cocktails from Monday - Thursday from 4PM - 6PM. Each order costs IDR 165, 000  (PHP 610). The following were the different cocktails to choose from:
Passion Fruit Mojito  - Old school favourite: The Mojito. Try our fruity twist With passion fruit. Together with mint and fresh lime wedges and finished with a little bit honey and Touch of soda. Enjoy.
Pineapple Vanilla Rum Sour - Refreshing fruit cocktail with perfect blend or fresh pineapple, rum, sweet sour, vanilla syrup.
Mango Tango - Tropical fruit cocktail with sour creamy taste flavoured of mango, coconut and lime.
Bubble Gum Sour  - This drink will bring you back to your childhood memories. We made our own bubble gum vodka and combined this with bubble gum syrup. Sweet bubble gum flavours with some sourness of lemon.
Smoky Margarita  - A twist on classic margarita with hint of smoke.
Coco Old Fashioned  - The classic old fashioned cocktail, smooth flavour of whiskey combined with coconut and cherry syrup.
All of 5 out of 6, ordered the promo, which was a total of 10 drinks. I ordered the Passion Fruit Mojito and Mango Tango, which were both flavorful. I was also able to taste Smoky Margarita which was not in my interest because it tastes like as if I drank a glassful of cigarette. It was also the least favorite within us. Other drinks such as Pineapple Vanilla Rum Sour and Coco Old Fashioned were also good as well.
My other friend ordered the Pink Raspberry Coconut Slushy that was a frozen pink slush puppy cocktail that is refreshing ice cold and fruity flavours of raspberry combined with coconut and light rum. One drink costs 145000  (PHP536.50).
Tumblr media
Rain stopped and finally we were able to transfer to the daybeds! Perfect weather for a sunset view by the beach.
Tumblr media
We had additional orders of French Fries Duo that has 2 flavors which were Truffle - garlic aioli and Sea salt - Ketchup. One ordered costs IDR 115, 000 (PHP 425.50). Classic Margarita  Pizza was also ordered that has fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan, and oregano rich tomato sauce. An ord.ered costs IDR 155, 000 (PHP 573.50)
Tumblr media
Our W Bali: Woobar stay had a total bill of IDR 1,820,205.405 (PHP 6734.76) including tax and service charge. We ordered the following items for its price:
10 cocktails
1 slushy
Promo of Chicken Wings + Pizza + Unlimited Soda
1 Pizza
1 2-flavored fries
Food wise, every food we ordered were delicious and very appetizing. In terms of their cocktails, it was actually way better than in Motel Mexicola. Woobar’s cocktails has more alcohol taste compared to Motel Mexicola’s. The only cocktail we didn’t like was the Smoky Margarita.
Service at Woobar was excellent! ❤️ All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Upon giving us the menu, first thing they said was we didn't need to hurry up and just to take our time in ordering our food/drinks. A staff actually passed by our daybed to ask if we need anything and if we were enjoying our stay. He even had a little chat to know us a little like the country we came from, and if we were still students or working girls.
If I’ll give a rating for my whole experience at Woobar from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I’ll rate it at 100! 😂 My friends and I even want to go back to Seminyak just to experience and stay at their hotel.
Woobar was the place where we felt that every money you spent, were so worth it for its quality and quantity. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ To the Woobar staff last November 27, 2018 around 2 - 6pm, thank you for your excellent service! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Below is a vlog on our adventures for days 6 and 7 in Seminyak, Bali. Feel free to watch it!

Yonaga Angie’s Stick Art Bread With eggs and fruit atop strips of bread and sprinkled with paprika, this dish is perfect for an artist like her! Ingredients: bread, mayonaisse, hard-boiled egg, bacon, yellow paprika, whipped cream, orange slices, mango sauce, grapefruit slices
Jess’s Rating: An abomination.
Chabashira Tenko’s Dashichazuke A dish that combines dashichazuke (rice soup with green tea) with pickled Japanese vegetables, plum, and wasabi on the side to recreate her pink headband and collar and her yellow-green bandana to match her style. Ingredients: rice, mizuna, sliced ??? (tiny text), pickled ??? (tiny text part II), wasabi, pickled vegetables (pink), dashi soup, hot tea (too small to read what kind but I guess either bancha or houjicha)
Jess’s Rating: N/A, though I feel it bears noting that Chabashira always has hyper Japanese dishes/drinks that prominently feature tea
Akamatsu Kaede’s Keyboard Cheesecake ♪ For the SHSL Pianist, we’ve chosen a dessert modeled after a piano keyboard! The Saishuu Gakuen student handbook and music note pick make this dish extra cute! Ingredients: cheesecake, chocolate, berry sauce, cherry, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, edible Saishuu Gakuen Student Handbook
Jess’s Rating: It’s lemon cheesecake with chocolate and berry sauce. I literally ate this three times.
Monokuma Honey Toast We’ve taken the Monokuma you all know and turned him into honey toast! Hmmm, do you have the resolve to finish eating the whole thing?! Ingredients: black sesame ice cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate (white and dark), strawberries, frozen berries (blueberries and raspberries), chocolate and strawberry sauce, white-striped chocolate sticks, whip cream (regular and chocolate), monaka (?)
Jess’s Rating: Delicious, though in true honey toast fashion, Nate and I didn’t quite finish all of it (we were full of like seven other drinks and three other foods, okay?)
Special Menu:
Kimukara Oyakodon Super extra greasy but can benefit your health?! Ingredients: fried chicken, eggs, kimchi, onion, mayonnaise, rice, green onions, soup...all of an appropriate amount
Jess’s Rating: N/A, sadly, but I do want to note that oyakodon is a dish that serves chicken and eggs together and is named literally “parent and child over rice”--interpret this as you shall
Drink Menu:
Amami Rantarou’s Grapeberry Drink A drink that evokes the strange flavor of mixing sweetness with a sour aftertaste. The piercings in his right ear are represented by silver chocolates. Ingredients: syrup (blueberry, blue raspberry), grapefruit syrup, custard whip, silver chocolate
Jess’s Rating: I am not a fan of grapefruit. If you are, I’m sure it’s great.
Iruma Miu’s Lychee Yogurt Drink For an inventor like her, we chose a drink that strangely changes colors when mixed... Just what the heck is going on...?! Ingredients: mallow blue, yogurt, soda, lychee syrup, lemon juice
Jess’s Rating: Delicious
Kiibo’s Energy Light Drink For the drink representing the cyborg-like Kiibo, we chose a drink to charge your energy! There’s even something that lights up in the glass?! Ingredients: energy syrup, soda, light-up ice cube (white)
Jess’s Rating: Delicious
Ouma Kokichi’s Grape Cola The base is grape juice and cola. The cookie and ribbon represent his checkered scarf and black cape. This is a drink fit for this Supreme Leader! Ingredients: grape juice, soda, cola, whipped cream, checkered cookie, blackberries
Jess’s Rating: Delicious
Gokuhara Gonta’s Iced Cafe Latte The SHSL Entomologist, with a stature that could be said to be of a giant. Ingredients: metal butterfly, milk, iced coffee
Jess’s Rating: Coffee is very much not my thing (I only ordered for Zai’s sake), but I could tell that if you did like coffee, this would be very nice
Saihara Shuuichi’s Espresso con Panna Coffee perfectly fit for a detective! We wonder why there’s a student handbook included... Ingredients: hot coffee, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, edible Saishuu Gakuen Student Handbook
Jess’s Rating: N/A, because, again, I don’t like coffee (Saihara is always coffee though, which at least matches my feelings on him)
Shirogane Tsumugi’s Chardonnay Lemonade Since one of her most arresting features is her long, blue hair, we’ve added a chardonnay-like flavor. It’s a beautiful drink with flower petals sprinkled on top. Ingredients: blue raspberry syrup, chardonnay syrup, lemon, flower petals, ice, maraschino cherry
Jess’s Rating: Delicious--this is the drink that sealed Shirogane as Nate’s favorite
Shinguuji Korekiyo's Rose Mint Drink For the suspicious/lonely-seeming Shinguuji’s drink, we added rose petals and lots of ice. But what is the true nature of this ice?! Ingredients: rose syrup, mint syrup, lemon concentrate, soda, iced cafe (green apple), rose petals
Jess’s Rating: I loved this, but your mileage may vary depending on your feelings re:mint
Hoshi Ryouma’s Star Berry Drink Just like his name, this blueberry tea is decorated with pieces of starfruit! What else could you add to this? Why, a rolled-up chocolate stick! Ingredients: blueberry syrup, black tea, starfruit, whipped cream, rolled up chocolate stick
Jess’s Rating: Delicious
Yumeno Himiko’s Strawberry Cola A cute drink perfect for the magician Himiko with its playing cards. The colors of red and black are also represented in the glass ♪ Ingredients: strawberry syrup, cola, soda, whipped cream, edible playing cards
Jess’s Rating: Delicious--this almost gave Shirogane’s drink a run for its money for Nate
Monokumarz Pasela Karaoke Drink Menu:
(No rating on these since Nate and I didn’t get to try them.)
Monotarou A refreshing drink with an iced tea base and star-shaped jelly floating inside! There’s also a cute marshmallow belly button~♪ Ingredients: ??? syrup, iced tea, star-shaped jelly, whipped cream, marshmallow belly button
Monosuke A drink that has a gradation from its mango ice, juice, and cola! There’s also a cute marshmallow belly button~♪ Ingredients: cola, mango ice, mango juice, whipped cream, marshmallow belly button
Monofunny In making Funny’s drink, we used sakura syrup and decorated it with a flower ♪ There’s also a cute marshmallow belly button~♪ Ingredients: hibiscus, sakura syrup, ???, soda, strawberry whipped cream, marshmallow belly button
Monokid The sweet and sour flavors of pineapple and syrup fit him perfectly! If you add the candy to it as well then the deliciousness literally explodes in your mouth! There’s also a cute marshmallow belly button~♪ Ingredients: blue syrup, pineapple juice, whipped cream, pop rocks, marshmallow belly button
Monodam A refreshing drink made from carbonated kiwi yogurt! There’s also a cute marshmallow belly button~♪ Ingredients: kiwi syrup, yogurt, soda, green tea whipped cream, marshmallow belly button
Whew! This took way longer than planned because small, blurry text is small and blurry, haha. There’s a couple of things I just am temporarily putting aside until I can find a larger/clearer version of the menu.
