Death's Game

We get introduced to Choi Yee- Jae, and the reason why he decides to kill himself. We then come into hell and meet the entity Death.

Might I say SHE IS STUNNING.

Death was just fabulous, she embodied the essence of it so well.

She was everything. I wish I could turn back time and experience seeing her for the first time again. Cause it was just too good.

Yee-Jae, We follow him through out the series, we get in deep with his thoughts, actions and emotions. I could see the TALENT from miles away.

He has gone through things ( in a very literal - torture situation, way) that I would not wish upon anyone. Like my guy could not catch a break. Even after he ended his life he was punished so severely for it.

Through out the series you can notice that after every death when he came back to the gate, he would feel very differently about how the situations/ Lives of those he embodied ended, either for his own sake or for the person who was now dead.

The writing and acting here was of the most importance. This made me feel that even though it may not be real to us, or for death it is literally a game. To him it was so very real. And that was shown quite extraordinarily.

Jang Seung-jo

His Character was quite something to see on screen.

I wondered how they would make it seem like the man had the soul of Yee-Jae.

But they did not have to, what i mean to say is, that the transitions were made effortlessly. Everything thought out. It did not seem out of place or unusual, it felt perfect.

Also like every videogame, you learn/ get abilities of people you have entered into. So being a hitman, we get to see fights, car chases, guns, suits. All the good stuff.

Right in the 2nd episode. Which ultimately sets the tone for the series.

Literally wanting to eat breakfast together and just ‘five more minutes’ wanting to cuddle together?? I am sure he has never been more comfortable and at home on his bigass bed until he had Haeng Seon in his arms, with an arm pillow even! With their foreheads touching even! ALSO I MUST ADD, sleeping together and waking up while holding hands even! Like wow they seem like such a private couple in the sense that they don’t hold hands or are overtly affectionate in public, but get them alone together and they’re all cheek cradling and holding hands every moment and never wanting to let go. That’s my jam. I love those types of couples.

And the fact that it isn’t enough that Haeng Seon spent the night at his place. He also wants to spend the night in the Nam Family home, because as already established he just wants to be part of that family so badly. Like just cohabit already! Let him fulfill his dreams of being Haeng Seon’s husband, Jae Woo’s brother-in-law, and Hae Yee’s father figure already!

Death's Game

This K drama is inspired by the webtoon of the same name.

There is a lot to say and unpack.

Choi Yee-Jae decides to end his life , but, after his death, he faces the being Death (Park So-Dam), who is standing in front of the gate to Hell. He is given the punishment to experience death 12 more times through different bodies. If he wants to avoid going to Hell, he must survive.

First the storyline was so well thought out, i could not have guessed the ending tbh with you. It had me second guessing everything, I was always on the look out of what was going to happen. The people that he had been going into were many, with their own problems that made the story all the more interesting.

Like can you imagine the amount of work that goes into a series like this? The cast was top tier. The visuals had me in awe of it all. The editing, VFX, colour grading, shooting with so many different techniques, made it spicer, and so much more interesting then it already is.

I see this drama getting so many awards. They have absolutely earned every bit of it.
