mrs. reed i have an important question pls. or two actually. it's for fanfiction purposes and also i am obsessed with ur fashion and hair headcanons and regularly check the tag for updates.
how would a fem!selmy character dress ? also important note she spends a lot of time in braavos.
how would a fem!halfdornish half volantene character dress? she also grew up enslaved so not a big fan of red priests OR volantis.
how would a fem!house strong character dress? it's viserys' court in the late (rotting corpse) stages and she's very ambitious. thankyyy
it's very specific but maybe a challenge considering? idk i love your headcanons and want to know your thoughts but feel free to totally and completely ignore/generalize more :))))
Let me read ur fic!!

Selmy girls, to me, dress very down-to-earth casually, with a preference for golden yellow colors. The top gown she might wear in Westeros, plain and long sleeves gowns that may or may not be fitted to her, depending on whether she has a surcoat/overgown on as well. The left is a mash of Pentos/Stormlands she can wear in either place. It has the cut of an average gown she might wear in Westeros, but the overcoat, the belt, the headpiece, and patterns are inspired from her time in the Pentoshi ports. The right is a full-Pentoshi gown (shout out to the Chechen culture for his one) with a simple cut and silky fabric to wick away sweat. Metal jewelry and accessories like belts and brooches hand crafted by Essosi artisans, and of course a loose veil/scarf/head wrap to protect her head from the sun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For your dornish-volantene girl, she might scorn all finery from or that reminds her of Volantis. She wears long strips of light cloth wrapped around to make a loose skirt or pants, and another bolt to create a wrapped top of some kind, and that’s it. Nothing heavy or golden, just something that can give her ease of movement and also not remind her of her enslavers. If she was ever in Dorne, she most likely would adopt that style of clothing, especially on the coasts or in the sands, where there is far less shade than in Volantis. Simple, square cut gowns of cotton that are decorated by incredibly detailed embroidery and other types of patterns. Again, a veil or headscarf is useful in Dorne, but some situations may require full facial coverage from the sun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unnamed Strong sister my beloved. Bringing her to court while she’s still a young girl, she is dressed as the innocent she is. White gowns with colorful borders and flowery patterns, short puffed sleeves, ringlet curled hair, and a lace neckline high enough to be considered appropriate for a young girl. As she grows up, she starts wearing finer gowns (perhaps from Rhaenyra’s closet), soft silk with gilded lining, neckline pushed down low enough to get a courtiers attention. Once she’s a grown woman, she is far more comfortable, wearing Targaryen colors to symbolize her favor with the crown (or green, depending on which side she’s on). Off the shoulder necklines and flatter sleeves symbolize that she is a woman now, not a child. Many layered gowns with cloth of gold underskirts show off her new wealth.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ill-fated decision to invade Ukraine is so unconscionable that his propagandists—including Russian Orthodox church that is tightly controlled by the government—are having to resort to increasingly outlandish methods to recruit more volunteers and comfort brokenhearted families of soldiers who perished in Ukraine.
From the beginning, Putin’s loyal mouthpieces like state TV host Vladimir Solovyov asserted that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a “holy war,” predicting it would lead to a “global jihad” against the West. Deputy of the State Duma Vyacheslav Nikonov claimed that Russia is “the embodiment of the forces of good” and stated, “This is truly a holy war we're waging and we must win.” Major General Apti Alaudinov, the commander of Chechen forces, who is himself a Muslim, claimed that Russia’s war against Ukraine will lead to the second coming of Christ, describing Moscow’s troops as “the forerunners of Jesus forces.”
Apparently, these assurances are not sufficient to ensure a steady stream of volunteers, much less to calm down the families of fallen soldiers. This month, Archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church Artemiy Vladimirov decided to up the ante and claimed that soldiers fighting on Russia’s side in Ukraine get resurrected after they get killed.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces estimate that the Russian military has suffered 451,730 casualties in the course of war, which includes deaths and injuries. Estimates by the U.S. and British intelligence conclude that Russian casualties exceed 300,000. This further exacerbates Russia’s growing demographic catastrophe and highlights the difficulties faced by the Kremlin in ensuring they have enough men willing to continue this devastating war.
Host of TV channel “Soyuz” Sergey Platonov told Vladimirov that he often speaks to soldiers serving in Ukraine and has been trying to convince them that there is no such thing as death. Describing one of his recent conversations with a Russian soldier, the host proudly said, “Maybe I’m boasting but I was successfully able to explain that death does not exist. He was encouraged by that!”
Vladimirov played along and replied, “In war, there are no unbelievers! When you are facing physical death, every fiber of your soul comes alive. Right now, there are many wonderful testimonies of Christ’s victory over death. My wife sends me many military testimonies and video clips. Before Lent, I watched a video about one Chinese man who participated in the special military operation. A bullet hit him in the stomach, destroying all of his insides. He died from this and then was resurrected.”
Vladimirov continued to spin the tale, claiming, “Saint Luke of Crimea appeared to him and completely healed him, his insides were fully restored. He was baptized along with his relatives, all of them are photographed together, dressed in white clothes, baptized into our Orthodox Church.”
The Archpriest added that this is not the only miraculous testimony that “Christ is visiting the soldiers who laid down their lives for their brethren, he is visiting them as his brothers, as blessed martyrs.”
Platonov said that Vladimirov’s tale of an alleged physical resurrection is an example of what should be a constant topic of conversation. He surmised, “All of us talk on the Internet, these stories should be constantly told. Death does not exist.”
Vladimirov wholeheartedly agreed, reminiscing about the Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov, describing him as one of the first clergymen who united the Russian Orthodox Church with the Defense Ministry. The thesis that “death does not exist” has already been incorporated into multiple state TV programs and even holiday specials, but is now being endowed with new outlandish specifics.
Vladimirov is no stranger to spreading idiosyncratic fibs. In 2019, he claimed to have communicated with Charles Darwin from beyond the grave and alleged that the scientist repented for his theory of evolution and renounced his own hypothesis about the origin of species.

Chapter 1:
The garage was quiet except for a dusty radio playing a classic oldies station. Richie and Michael the other two grease monkeys had gone home over an hour ago, leaving you by yourself. You were lying on a metal creeper underneath of a large truck trying to figure out what the problem was. The clock on the wall read 11:15. Working on this stubborn bastard for an hour and a half now, there was no indication anything was wrong, yet it just would not start. Your mind began to drift to your new boss. Now that Chechen was finally out of the picture, you were excited to hear that you would be working for the Joker. You were very much looking forward to showing him all that you could do.
"Son of a bitch." You muttered as your hand slipped on the wrench causing you to nearly drop it on your face. Finally spotting what might possibly be the issue you heard someone nearby loudly clear their throat. A pair of dirty brown shoes slowly approached the side of the truck. You could also see matching multicolored socks, and the bottoms of purple pinstriped dress pants. Rolling back out you were met with the sight of your new boss standing above you. His head was cocked to the side curiously as he looked down.
"You...... must be Daisy." He said licking his lower lip as he abruptly thrust his hand out towards you. Taking it, he pulled you up off the creeper and onto your feet.
"At your service sir." You replied. Immediately you could tell that he was pleased with your response, and for the briefest of moments you saw a mischievous smile flash across his face.
Noticing your hands and forearms were smeared with oil, you secretly wished you had looked a little nicer. Your long dark green hair was tied up in a ponytail, and you were wearing black shop coveralls with light colored work boots. He looked you up and down seeming to admire your dirty work attire.
"I've heard a lot about you. Mechanic, marksman, hand to hand combat, and a pilot." He paused to lick his lips.
"You're quite impressive." He said while looking over the assortment of dirty tools sitting on top of the nearby rolling cart. Picking up a small sharp screw he inspected it closely then set it back down. Very curious as to where he was going with this, you grabbed a fresh rag and started to wipe off your dirty hands and arms. J watched as you cleaned yourself up, his tongue lingering in the corner of his mouth. A few more moments of silence passed before he spoke again.
"I also heard you're good at another particular task." As he said this, he stepped forward and leaned in a little closer.
"I heard ya like to suck dick." He said softly.
"Well......." He licked his bottom lip, looked down at his groin then back up at you. Actively fighting the urge to break out into a giant grin and tackle him, you restrained yourself. Moving closer you inquired,
"Are you asking me to suck on your cock?" He nodded his head quickly and emphatically. You slowly walked up to him while letting your eyes drift down his torso to his waist. Spotting the shiny metal chain that hung from his pants pocket, you gingerly grabbed ahold of it and pulled him towards you. He grinned slightly, his eyes burning with intensity and lust.
"Not here. Follow me." You said in little more than a whisper. Turning around, you both headed for the steel staircase in the back of the shop.
At the top of the stairs was a single solitary door. J stood beside you as you produced a large metal key from inside your pocket. He looked confused. Tilting his head to the side he asked,
"I thought the key to this storage room was lost?"
"It is." You replied coyly.
"And that is what I expect you to tell anyone who might ask." He grinned knowingly then clicked his tongue.
"You got it doll." Inserting the key you pushed open the metal door to reveal your secret sanctuary. It was a small room but the ceiling was tall, making it feel larger than it actually was. The walls were steel and the floors were concrete in typical warehouse fashion. In the room was a couch and a loveseat, an end table, and a desk with a chair. A green lava lamp sat atop the end table and you had hung tiny string lights all around the room. The only sound was a gentle hum coming from an air vent in the wall. You turned to look at J.
"Cozy." He said walking further in.
"Have a seat. I'm just going to freshen up." You told him. He sat down on the couch and leaned back, spreading his legs somewhat as he did so.
"Hurry back." He said eyes locked with yours.
In reality, you very much needed to wee. Heading for the washroom you were rounding a corner when you literally bumped into Rusty.
"Shit sorry Daisy. Have you seen the boss? I've been looking everywhere." He asked sounding frustrated.
"Sorry I haven't. I'm sure he's around here somewhere." You reassured him with a gentle pat on the back. You very much liked Rusty and hated lying to him, but there was no way you were missing out on the chance to have some private time with J. Continuing on to the bathroom you quickly did your business, washed your hands, and checked your reflection in the small cracked mirror. You then used a damp paper towel to rid yourself of a few oil smudges on your face. Unzipping your coveralls to just below your breasts, the white undershirt was a stark contrast against the dark dirty fabric on top. The black bra you were wearing was very thin so your nipple rings were visible through the material. Now happy with your appearance you started back for the storage room. Opening the door, J was just as you'd left him. He immediately noticed your altered attire, letting his eyes freely roam your chest. You approached and stood quietly before him. He was now exactly eye level with your breasts. You could clearly see the outline of his manhood underneath his trousers. Placing your hands gently on his broad shoulders, you sat down in his lap. He smelled like cigarettes and musky cologne.
"You can touch me if you like." You whispered in his ear while moving your hands to rest on his chest. He responded by grabbing your upper thigh and sliding his hand up to rest on your ass. His other hand did the same. After a moment or two he started upwards, moving his hands slowly up your hips, then to your waist, and then finally to your tits.
"Fuck....." J exhaled as he tenderly grabbed and squeezed your still covered breasts. You could now feel his throbbing erection pressing hard against you. Gripping your nipples through the thin fabric, his fingers pinched and pulled lightly.
"Mmmm yes." You moaned feeling a warm wetness forming between your thighs. He watched you closely, clearly enjoying your reaction.
"Heard you were pierced. Can I see 'em?" He asked in a deep tone, a somewhat hopeful expression on his face. You grinned placing your hands on top of his and removing them from your chest.
"Yes sir." You answered.

The real role of pro-Russian Chechens in Ukraine: Report 19Aug 2022
The real role of pro-Russian Chechens in Ukraine: Report 19Aug 2022
The real role of pro-Russian Chechens in Ukraine According to Ukrainian military leaders and government officials, most of the Russian soldiers sitting in the 34 armed personnel carriers that rolled down Buka on February 27 were ethnic Chechens. Bearded and plump, dressed in brand new, perfectly fitting uniforms and toting assault rifles, they were expected to wander through the leafy suburb to…

A 26-year-old woman from Chechnya, Seda Suleymanova, who was jailed in St. Petersburg, has been handed over to relatives in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, without an opportunity to consult lawyers, reports human rights group SK SOS.
Lawyers traveled to Grozny and tried to locate Suleymanova in two police departments after St. Petersburg police said that she would be handed over to law enforcement in Grozny.
At the police department in Grozny’s Akhmatovsky district, lawyers were told that Suleymanova would arrive in the evening, but they were ultimately unable to meet with her. SK SOS says that the young woman was interrogated as a suspect in a criminal case involving theft, and was then handed over to an aunt and uncle. Her lawyers say that Suleimanova was forced to write a refusal of legal services.
Suleymanova was arrested in Petersburg on August 23. According to her partner, Stanislav Kudryavtsev, several men stopped him outside their home in the evening, as he was returning from work. Two of them men introduced themselves as police officers and showed identification, while another two were “Chechens in civilian dress.” They showed Kudryavtsev a photo of Suleymanova and forced him to open his apartment door, after which they took both Suleymanova and Kudryavtsev to the police station.
The police said that Suleymanova was suspected of stealing jewelry worth 150,000 rubles (around $1,580). Suleymanova denies the allegations. Kudryavtsev was later released, but Suleymanova, according to law enforcement officials, was taken to the airport. Lawyers were unable to locate her at Pulkovo airport.
Human rights advocates fear that in Chechnya, Suleymanova could become the victim of an “honor killing” by members of her family.
Suleymanova fled Chechnya, where her family considered her “insufficiently religious.” In February 2023, relatives tried to kidnap her. Human rights advocates, to whom she turned for help, say that at that time she was taken away by her brothers but managed to escape. After that, she changed jobs and residences but remained in St. Petersburg.

Whatever Gets You Through Today
A/N: I haven't done a teen daughter fic in so long. It was so fun to write again!
Summary: Barry's in a deep depression and his daughter doesn't know what to do...
Tumblr media
You give yourself one final lookover in the mirror, brushing a few stray hairs away from your face. You’re about to meet up with one of your friends. She’s the most stylish person you know. You always feel like a total slob compared to her. You’re trying to dress to impress, while making it all look effortless. It’s a tough balance but you think you pulled it off.
As soon as you step out of your bedroom, you see Barry on the couch playing video games. He was sitting in the exact same position last night when you went to bed and he’s still wearing the same clothes. It looks like he hasn’t moved from his seat. It’s not the first time he’s done something like this.
Barry has been in a weird haze for weeks now. He’s depressed and not working anymore. You don’t know the full story. Barry had some sort of fallout with the Chechens and you believe that whatever happened triggered his depression.
You want to help but he’s grown distant. Your father doesn’t really talk to you like he used to. It seems like everyday he’s just going through the motions. He’s checked out. You have no idea what to do or how to fix this. You just want your old dad back.
“Hey dad!” you smile, trying to get his attention.
“Hey…” Barry unenthusiastically responds. His eyes are still glued to the TV.
Your face drops. He’s so uninterested in talking to you right now. You’re not going to force it…
“I’m heading out. See you later,” you sigh.
Barry finally looks up at you.
“Do you need a ride to school?” Barry asks half-heartedly.
You scrunch your nose. Barry is so out of it that he doesn’t even know what day it is.
“Dad, it’s Saturday… I’m going out to lunch with a friend.”
Barry raises an eyebrow. Saturday? How the fuck did that happen?!
“Oh. Uh, do you need any money?”
“No, I’m okay,” you reply.
Barry lightly nods his head. He doesn’t really know what else to say.
“I’ll be home in a couple of hours,'' you tell your father, “While I’m out you should take a shower and get some sleep….”
Barry suddenly hears a faint sound of a gunshot and then everything goes silent. He sees you with a bullet wound to the head. You’re still standing upright and your mouth is moving but he can’t hear a word you are saying. His heart sinks to his stomach. He knows this is all in his imagination, his mind is playing tricks on him.
“I’m worried about you, dad. You look exhausted. I think rest will be good for you,” you try.
Your father just stares at you vacantly. Although he’s physically in the room with you, he’s not present at all.
“Dad! Are you listening?” you ask impatiently.
Barry quickly squeezes his eyes shut and reopens them, snapping back to reality. The gunshot wound is gone and he can hear your voice once again.
"I'm sorry. What?"
You defeatedly shake your head.
“Forget it,” you shrug.
Without another word, you walk out the door. Barry loses it after you leave. He starts hitting himself in the head repeatedly, trying to get all the bad thoughts out.
You arrive back home a few hours later. Barry doesn’t see or hear you come in. He’s lounging on the couch, focused on his laptop. You can see the computer screen from a distance. He’s on the dark web, searching through some hitman message board.
You cover your mouth to stop yourself from gasping. Barry always told you how much he wanted out of that life, but now he’s anxiously trying to get back into it. As much as you want to call him out on his shit, you know that you can’t. You have no idea how he’ll react if you confront him and that kind of scares you.
You put your head down and loudly shut the door, making your presence known.
“Hey dad! I’m home,” you announce, pretending as if you didn’t see anything.
Barry immediately closes his laptop when he sees you. He thinks you just walked in.
“Hey, uh, how was school?” your father greets you.
Your eyes widen. Is he being serious right now?!
“Dad, it’s still-”
You take a deep breath. You've come to the sad realization that it would just be easier to go along with Barry instead of reminding him that it’s Saturday again.
“School was fine,” you quietly answer.
Barry nods.
“I just stopped by to pick up a few things…. I’m sleeping over at Lexi's house tonight. I already asked you and you said it was okay. Remember?”
That’s a lie. You never asked your father about a sleepover and don’t even have a friend named Lexi. It was the first thing you could make up on the fly. At this point, all you want is an excuse to leave. Barry is not in a good place right now and you don’t want to be around him. You know that the lie will work because Barry isn’t in the headspace to call your bluff.
He’s silent for a beat. And then-
“Oh yeah. Have fun.”
“Thanks dad,” you bite the bottom of your lip. Now that you have an out, you need to come up with a real plan.
As you walk into your bedroom, you text your boyfriend:
hey my dad is acting weird again. can i crash with you?
You grab a change of clothes from the drawer. You’re packing an overnight bag when your phone buzzes. Your boyfriend texted back. You quickly glance at the message.
yeah come over whenever
You let out a sigh of relief, at least you have somewhere safe to stay tonight. When you finish packing, you step back out to the living room. Barry is once again playing video games. You roll your eyes and head towards the door.
“Later dad!”

Between Truth and Propaganda
(Starting from today, I would added links for my cryptocurrencies and some means to donate to me... etc. I am a poor inventor then a blogger and a novelist so I need to keep myself survive before anything else.)
When in war the first causality is truth; Be it in Vietnam war, in the war between India and CCP China, in WWII, in first Iraqi and the second Iraqi war (or Gulf wars), in the Syrian war and in the ongoing war in Yemen, in the war between Iran and Iraqi, in the war waged by ISIL against state of Iraqi and in various wars between Israel and Arabic nations, in war between various fractions in Cambodia and Vietnam, in war in Chechen, in war in Serbia and Yugoslavia....etc. And of course in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
I maybe writing this for too late to inoculate against Putin's lies and propaganda when the basic strategy for his whole Propaganda and PR war supporting his invasion is mirrored on how the blue ribbon abuse the leftard values of truth and ideals in the Umbrella movement, and the same mechanism abused the novelties of many Western and Eastern leftard or novices is still at the heart of what drives the CCP/HKSAR propaganda mechanism. There are Pro-Donald Trump American social network such as Gab that allow the Russian Propaganda to stay because apparently it protect the freedom of speech of some Russians in the same veins of 'truth shall set you freedom', and that freedom of speech of some Russians also necessarily include the freedom to lies and deceives with ill intentions that are not serving the greater good. Or better yet, in the name of truth and "freedom" it is lying to protect the greater good as viewed from the Putin's perspective and his historical view that Russia is often abused by NATO and the West so any 'preemptive' strike against Ukraine is justified in the name of self-defense much like a deluded wife who believe her husband is poisoning her everyday is going to kill her every time he got a chance so she strike first by first killing her husband that she had difficulty to distinguish between her thoughts, imaginations and reality. She difficulties but we don't, and this wife is not the poor and unfortunate madman as we saw in countless tragic incidents like that; and this time she is remarkable intelligent and well educated enough to try to gain the public sympathy. In the Hongkonger's language we called that a high wall is dressing up its exterior with eggs so it is trying to appeal to the innate instinct for justice and our tendencies to side with the weak against the strong with the assumption that the strong are always abusing the weak for its own gain, and effectively making those who sides with the wall to become its accomplice (thus serving its interest). The apparently 'innate truth' which strong is often abuse the weak made evolutionary sense when human born in a helpless position in an All against All battle for survive and reproduction and be it capitalism or communism or fascism or Nazism or Socialism we often playing a zero-sum game against each other, and each nation is playing a similar game against all other nations. None of us are completely innocent if intentions are included in the ethical matrix. To be in war is to stay survive and philosophically it is not completely 'rational' to say my life is more important than yours. There is no justice in war in the sense when both are there to kill each other, thy shall not doing any evil apparently need to have an exception when it is for revenge or tribulation (and the later served as a means to act as a sort of balance to prevent evildoers from initialize the act that cause the sufferings of later.) We needed to take into consideration of who is mostly directly responsible for creating the situation of war in the first place. The RT or other Russian Propaganda's tricks are to assert the truth as a value in itself higher than everything else, that is including the basic need of survive and it is appealed to those who are not directly endangered by this war in the first place. The quote "Truth shall set you free" made sense when those who are not directly in the crossfire are free to seek the truth to be a better human and to serve the greater good (but not to do so in the expense of those who are seeking survival and justice) when Transparency International rated Ukraine at 117 of 180 while Russia federation is ranked at 129 of 180. How would it made any sense when a more corrupted regime is to 'liberate' a less corrupted country with its only version of truth? It made the similar 'sense' just in the ways North Korea said it is intended to liberate South Korea, ISIL to liberate the secular state of Iraqi, CCP China to liberate Taiwan, or USSR to liberate USA and Western Europe?

every board on 4chan is filled with its own unique flavor of absolutely horrible advice but I think whatever the /fa/gs say might be the absolute worst to follow. Except for that time they tried to invent terrorcore fashion where you tried to dress like a noise musician/chechen insurgent I think more people should do that
