I was really struggling with what to draw, and then I remembered your ask from ages ago (dang ADHD brain...) anyway, sorry its such a late answer, but Miphlink inspired by Dicksee's La Belle Dame

#pokemon #swsh #champion league #cw: gore #hi! this one is also about being trans btw. but mostly it's abt stories #I think I was drawing this one like ''leon should get to have fun a little'' and it turned into. this #well. there are many things already! like I've been rotating the lion dance costume head as trophy thing in my brain since #that one doodle I did with that lion head #the original idea for this has the wreaths more prominent and also pizelated #and. it tried to incorporate something that needs much more delicate handling #than I'm currently capable of. so I shelved it for this instead #I think this piece is just like. fully linking the king-knight-beast-princess-wizard figures altogether for leon #u know what I think abt all that! u kno whats up #but also just a tiny bit. this was drawn with that whole once-a-month disk horse abt sexing skeleton remains #about which my only real thought is ''I gotta be buried in a solid metal salmon suit then''#well. if I were to be buried at all. doodles for the Knight and Monarch AU from months ago that I forgot to share: Yennefer helping Tissaia get ready for a tournament and Yennefer helping her get back on her feet (literally) after sustaining serious injuries during said tournament

#knight and monarch au #sometimes i draw things #yennefer of vengerberg #tissaia de vries #I ALWAYS FORGET TO DRAW HER SCAR DARN IT #her competitor wanted to humble her and aimed to hit her on the helmet. full force. tissaia was trying to hit his shield. as one would #she managed to dodge a direct hit to the head but it landed on her shoulder instead. almost knocked her off from her horse #the crowd went wild #she was carried back to her tent on a stretcher. last thing she heard was #yennefer screaming something along the line of if you dislocate any of her joints i will dislocate your worthless head from your body #'your majesty this is the clearest indication that the i am too old to be your champion. i've lost my edge'

He was never made for the role the elders wanted him to be, oh, no. They worked him to the bone to get him there but in the end it was all too clear to them that this pathetic boy in front of them could never be what they had imagined the Chosen One to be. So Gillion Tidestrider cannot be it. They tried to get him to fit, but he can't. No matter how hard he tries, and gods, he TRIES. They banish him. And, after floating on the surface, refusing to leave the water, for so long and wallowing in self hatred, WHO LIFTS HIM OUT OF THE WATER???

The Bastard. The Bastard with warm eyes, a shit-eating grin, a missing tooth, and just ONE earring. Where is the other one? What happened to his tooth, and how could one kid have so many scars? He is HUMAN. The face of human nature, imperfection personified. He sailed on the waters which Gillion used live in with as much ignorance as possible, as a child, not thinking deeper than the surface and what could be used for himself. The Haunted One. The Bastard. The Pirate. He has seen so many things that while Gillion Tidestrider may be Gillion Tidestrider, Champion of the Undersea, Hero of the Deep... to Chip he's just another person. One that can be used. While Gillion Tidestrider's view of the world is confined to a perfect box, Chip's is vast and unlimited and they are POLAR OPPOSITES.

Gillion's name, his status, means so much to him. The world and more. Chip doesn't even know his "real name," and "Chip" is real enough, thankyouverymuch! Chip is everything Gillion was taught is wrong in the world, and he is the one who lifts him out of the water, and sees him as more than his destiny. Oh, and Chip wasn't taught anything. He doesn't even realize how much that matters to Gillion.

Honestly, it was naive of us to think that TotK would focus on the champions. They're dead characters who got a whole game and dlc to flesh them out, and while I would have loved to see them more I have a feeling TotK would have butchered them anyway :/ so let's be grateful they weren't really mentioned in TotK and build on them more ourselves by making more fanworks xD

I really don't know how this is supposed to go because all I can imagine is Lewis burning Ferrari to the ground because he's so baffled by the incompetence and their strategies, Charles having a full on crisis by not only being still hunted by the prancing horse depression but now by also having the most successful F1 driver in history as his teammate to beat, Carlos being an absolute menace and taking a lot from Fernando's book while RedBull just keep up what they're doing aka Max is driving off somewhere into the sunset a la Australien GP while everything crashes behind him.

Or maybe Hamilton can do the impossible and become the first Ferrari champion since Kimi which will have me cry laughing to death.
