Peering through an infant’s eyes

When the world was simple, black & white,

High contrast, clear dark & light

The figures moved along one line

When I always stayed in frame

I knew which space to occupy,

The one that matched my name

Now walking talkies jibber jabber

Mocking jays twitter in confident

Echoes of choice radical voices

Verses shift meanings, whispered ear to ear

Every mouth speaking out of both sides

Throwing around so much noise

I can’t hear my own voice in the clamor

The overlapping hues shudder & jar me

Emerging opaquely in technicolor radiance

Bright Prussian blue stones thrown into

Sterile white rooms filled with families,

The ripples generated reach my generation,

Streaks of shrieking blood reds degenerate,

Seeping from a dusted, extended human hand

It’s arm cradled in a lovingly crocheted sweater

Black, green, and red beneath the rubble

Chalk white fragments still bury and burn

More pale rooms filled with families.

Yet despite all of the painful knowing,

These sickening sights nauseatingly

Gnawing at my bruised purple mind,

I strain not to shut my stinging eyes

To see the full spectrum of living color.

The war crime of starvation is defined in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as

intentionally using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare by depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival, including wilfully impeding relief supplies as provided for under the Geneva Conventions.

‘Objects indispensable to survival’ (OIS) include not only food but also water, medicine and shelter. There is no requirement that individuals perish of starvation for the crime to have been committed; it is sufficient for them to have been deprived of OIS. Human Rights Watch and others have concluded that Israel’s actions in Gaza constitute the war crime of starvation.

A global strike is still on going so please use that opportunity to do much as you can during the strike such as educating yourself on Palestine, boycotting companies, brands and celebrities that supports the genocide, signing petitions, donating to organizations that aid Palestine, etc.

Decolonize Palestine is a good website to start educating yourself and learn about Palestine as it outlines everything you need to know.

BDS Movement is a movement to instruct people to boycott brands and companies that support the genocide

Organizations that directly donates to the Palestine cause such as Care for Gaza, Gaza Direct Aid, Pious Projects, The PCRF, PRCS, MSF, Anera, etc

You can still do daily clicks with arab.org to fund in the aid but it’s highly encouraged to donate to the organizations that directly fund to Palestine such as the one I mentioned previously

E-sims such as Simly, Nomad and Holafly to donate to Gaza. Right now, Nomad and Holafly are highly requested e-Sims needed for Gaza to connect to the telecommunications

Follow Palestinian people, journalists and the news outlet to get updates on what is happening in Palestine and the neighboring countries.

these people just wanted to get food for their families, something as basic as flour, one of the things that the very core of humanity is built on, and israel used it as a trap to murder them in cold blood
