So I (SOMEHOW) got a Laserdisc player for Christmas. This is the first film I bought and it's hardly been touched and I'm quite impressed how well it looks.

For those that don't know, Laserdisc sits somewhere between VHS and DVD I'm terms of quality.

Gotta say although I grew up on the VHS release I already would much prefer watching it on Laserdisc than anything else.

After months of work, I’m finally starting to publish my Cats fanfic? Chapters 1-4 are out now, with the rest coming in the next week or so. As this is the first creative writing project I have seen all the way through, I’m open to feedback on how to improve my writing.

Practical Quaxo - How did Mr. Mistoffelees become a magical cat? Why does he seemingly have two names? Why does he love Bustopher Jones so much? Who are his parents? What is his relationship with the Rum Tum Tugger? And how does Victoria fit into all of this? All these questions and more will be addressed in this prequel novella to the musical Cats! Note: I'm mostly going off of the 1998 film, but will also include elements from the Broadway revival and Jacob Brent's commentary. If something doesn't make sense (for example, how anthropomorphic the cats are in any given scene) then just default to the 1998 version.

It's been over 10 years since I saw @catsthemusical and I still remember how mesmerized I was as a little kid being introduced to my first musical theater production. I went home that night humming the songs to myself and wishing I could be up there with them. I don't know how tumblr works but yeah, we made the CATS costumes. Hi.

This is wild that people on Tumblr are sharing our CATS costume photos. Absolutely wild. Thank you for the kindness. We've done this for many years now, some things changed during the pandemic, and all of our unitards are done with acid dye now (confession: I prefer painting with my setacolor instead because of the texture but if you need it to be permanent and see it in the very last row, acid dye's the way). All wigs are handmade, warmers handknitted, tails handmade, Misto's coat lit up, only thing in our rental set we didn't make is Fake Deut (a GENEROUS gift from the US Tour) and Skimble's vest (Oh, Griddle's gloves... also a gift from tour. We were also given shoes so we MIGHT...). We like making our own costumes.

We're going to be selling a few CATS costumes including an acid dyed Munkustrap shortly, maybe a Bombalurina and Demeter too. Also some OLD children's costumes. Too much space. :)
