Elevator...elevator...fuck...I can't NOT think of piss...

Everyone knows the classic, "elevator breaks down when a character needs to piss," trope. What if...them?

Imagine Wilson as the 'victim'...At first, he denies or downplays his need, but it gets too obvious...I think Wilson would be adorable all desperate and squirmy...just shuffling and sighing in frustration while getting pouty and sarcastic with House who keeps teasing him. I wonder if he'd be the type to groan in desperation. I could totally see him grabbing himself and crossing his legs. Would Wilson be vocal about his needs and keep whining about how bad he needs to piss? How would House react if Wilson started panting, whimpering, shaking and grunting...? Would he keep making fun of him? Would he try to convince him to just let it out so he doesn't get hurt? "Just piss in the corner" or something like that? Would he get quiet and awkward? What If Wilson just looks House dead in the eyes and tells him in a strained voice how he can't hold it much longer? What if he cried a bit? What if he moaned while pissing himself? What would House do? Just...standing next to all this happening...Imagine how humiliating is would be for Wilson...especially when he gets out of the elevator...House would never let him live it down.

It is Cold

The weather is cold and listless. The seething sea hostile and frigid, the air cruel, piercing, and pregnant with an apocalyptic volume of water vapour, a tsunami threatening to burst forth out of the strained intermolecular forces of the paper-thin, unforgiving atmosphere.

It is cold. The very spaces between the air molecules, the vacuum that is the staggering majority of the universe, the absolute nothingness that exists between two adjacent subatomic particles, even the regions of the infinite expanse of spacetime where the fields of quantum physics exhibit no curve or bend, even nothingness itself was cold. A chilling, merciless, sharp cold. A kind of coldness that is addictive. That burns torturously but enticingly, that slices the heart bitterly and lovingly. The kind of cold that gets to you. That gets to your bones, to your souls, to your memories. That chills your evolutionary desire to maintain homeostasis and leaves you longing to curl up and freeze, to submit, to give yourself up, to obey to the calmness, to the stillness of the coolness.

The weather is cold. It is very cold.

Pick up

Cinnabar’s back quietly shifted against the mottled and dented surface of an ancient metallic wall. This historic structure’s shadow. A shadow Cinnabar stood against in effort to hide herself away. She could see from the raised platform that the scaffoldings were empty. And the elevators are still. All minor pre war restoration repairs were done for the day… Cinnabar looked at the blue haze that glowed above and how it diffused across the singular dark dagger like building. Pausing in wonder of the building’s dotted red warning lights. However, the seeker's mind was straining and needed to be somewhere else right now. Cinnabar calls and Boltaction picks up at the other end of the line. "Haya Bolt. I need picking up."

His joy of finally hearing his sister after her recent low contact, was a relief. Bolt remembers the meet up point. "Yes. Thank you. See you in 15 minutes." "Alright. See you in 15 minutes." Cinnabar lightly smiles after the call. Sitting on the stairs waiting for the time to move by.

I'm tired again.

It gets dark at 5 pm and the sun rises at 7 am and I am tired .

Even the last roses in my garden have wilted away with the last warm rays of the sun. The raindrops splatter against the pavement helplessly, the street light down the street that keeps flickering is even dimmer and I'm tired again.

My walks to the store have gotten longer and my playlists have gotten slower, quieter. The cranberry tea tastes better than it did last month, and the blanket feels lighter on my body at night. The lead in my mechanical pen seems to be spent far quicker and I'm tired again.

The books on my shelf call to me louder, the sunsets are redder than they were in July, making coffee seems easier than it was yesterday and the couch is more comfortable. My bag is heavier on my shoulders and my textbooks feel thicker, the lections more complicated and I've gotten tired again.

My phone sits more comfortably in my hand, my socks are thicker and I don't seem to mind the overcast sky nearly as much. The tap water tastes worse and is ice cold, my breath is shakier and foggy and I think I'm tired again.

The silence is heavier and my joints are stiffer, my lips are chapped. Words come harder and my boots are heavy on my feet and I'm tired.

Getting up from bed feels like more of a chore and all the food just tastes bland. I've been wearing the same hoodie for nearly a week and my eyes hurt from staring at my screen and I'm tired again.

My eyes close faster, my hair is frizzier and I hate it more than I did in October, my fingers are numb and my nose is red, my yard is covered in frost and so are my windows and..... Fuck.

I'm tired again.

The land sprawled out before their eyes- after emerging from darkness for so long, seeing and hearing nothing but their own cries of misery- finally given that sweet release. A grassy plain stood before them as a rolling valley, the clouds oh-so soft in the air, floating silently above them, the sky's an easy blue. Small, subtle flowers splattered the ground beneath them, and small insects who called the place their home drifted on top of the grass, from where dew silently sat shining from its palace above, falling to the ground with a silent thud. The land seemed endless.

And yet, given what they had wanted for so long, the beauty of freedom and what had come with it, they wanted to go back. Into that comforting darkness, where they knew every crack and stone, every river below.

They did not want to live in an endless unknown.
