If you wanna be a pagan or witch or whatever I can’t stop you from messing with demons but don’t call yourself a “Christian witch” or whatever. Don’t wrap up your heresy and sacrilege in Christ. Christ wants to free you from the occult and paganism. He died to save you, not so you can mock that sacrifice by claiming to be a witch that follows him. I know you want control and surety in your life, because life is messy and confusing but you won’t find peace in the occult. I promise. You’re beloved by God.

Charms for Illness and Plague from The Charmers' Psalter by Gemma Gary
For Illness in General:
Tumblr media
"The Abracadabra charm may be inscribed in ink upon parchment or paper to be worn as a charm against illness. Enclosed in a black silken bag, it is also a potent charm against witchcraft and evil influences.
In the working of curative magic at a distance, the charmer may also employ the Abracadabra charm by writing it out in the usual manner, and scratching a line away with a new knife, kept for the purpose, each day with the following words:
"As I destroy the letters of this charm, Abracadabra, so, by virtue of this sacred name, may all grief and dolour depart from (name) in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. In the Name of the Father I destroy this disease, in the Name of the Son I destroy this disease, in the Name of the Holy Ghost I destroy this disease. Amen.""
Against Epidemics:
"God the Lord went over the land; ninety sicknesses came from the sand. Said the Lord to the ninety sick: 'whither go ye? Answer me quick.' Then said the ninety of the sand: 'to take men's health we walk the land. To hurt their limbs and fester their skin, to shake them well without and within.' Then spake the Lord: 'to the elder-bush go that grows where the healing waters flow; see that ye do this thing just now, and ullthe bush down bough for bough. Name the diseases ye bring from the sand. Leave God the Lord to walk the land."
Witches' Herb-Gathering Charms:
"The first charm is to be used in the gathering of any herb for magical healing purposes, it may also be sung during the preparation of herbal healing substances to increase their efficacy. The second is to be spoken in gathering the herb pimpernel for uses against witchcraft, and the third is a gathering charm for vervain.
"Hail to thee, holy herb, growing on the ground, all on Mount Calvary first wast thou found. Thou art good for many sores, and healeth many a wound; in the name of St. Jesus! I take thee from the ground."
"Herb pimpernel I have thee found, growing upon Christ Jesus' ground; the same gift the Lord Jesus gave unto thee, when He shed his blood upon the tree. Arise up, pimpernel, and go with me, and God bless me, and all that shall wear thee. Amen."
"All-hele, thou holy herb, Vervain, growing on the ground; In the Mount of Calvary there was thou found; thou helpest many a grief, and staunchest many a wound. In the name of sweet Jesus I take thee from the ground. O Lord, effect the same that I do now go about. In the name of God, on Mount Olivet first I thee found; in the name of Jesus I pull thee from the ground."
To Hasten the Healing of the Sick:
Recite Psalm 41:
"Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish? And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it. All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt. An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen."

Every December - January the old woman of Winter is celebrated. For the past 3 years I have been teaching a class about these woman of myth and folklore. My fascination started with connecting to the ancestral spirits of my heritage La Befana and The Cailleach, and learning along the way the connection they have to the other fascinating woman of Winter and the land. I hope to see you there.
To check out my upcoming class and my other on demand and upcoming classes, go to Zinzeudo University at zinzeudo.com
The holiday season is a time for many things, family, food, and magic. The time between early
December until Mid January is full of spirit activity and stories of Witches, Ghosts, Goblins, and
Elves, some of these stories are terrifying in there own way and some are heartfelt and warm.
Most of these stories and traditions came from pagan beginnings, the legend of La Befana is no
different. The traditions of The Christmas Witch in Italy are old, full of pagan symbolism, and
goddess worship. Looking deep in these legends we open up a different side to the old woman
of Winter and relation to the Old Hag from many cultures. We will touch on the similarities La
Befana has with other Crone and Hag Goddesses as The Cailleach, Baba Yaga, Berchta, Hulda,
and Ragana. As well as similarities to Abundance Goddesses like Strenia, Abundia, and Feronia.
Join me as we travel with La Befana The Christmas Witch.
In this class we will learn
- Lore
- How to build a relationship
- Creating a shrine
- Offerings

Not bad for a first try! Who knew that onions are hiding sunshine in their skins? Not me. I think that the colour is in part due to the overnight soak in the dye. And you know, the actual sunlight.
It was fun to mix folklore with something practical. So my tip; wear amber and call on heathen spirits and gods! Especially when dyeing, spinning and processing wool.

Hello! I was hoping for some assistance if possible! I'm a baby catholic witch, and me and my boyfriend are hoping to go to Oklahoma in the summer. Does anyone have any prayers or simple spells I could try to make sure things go well? I'll be meeting some of his family and I'm very nervous, and I'm hoping my chronic illness doesn't flare from the stress...
Any help/advice is appreciated! Thank you and God bless!

Sleeping Saint Joseph
Saint Joseph was known to receive messages from God (through an Angel) in his dreams. As such, he has a devotion known as “The Sleeping Saint Joseph”. And here is how you can incorporate this devotion into your spiritual/witchcraft/folk practices.
Write your petition on paper, fold it away from you if you are petitioning something out of your life, fold it towards you if you are petitioning something to come into your life. Place it under the sleeping Saint Joseph & pray that he takes care of your need as he dreams, allowing you to sleep in peace - Knowing Saint Joseph is working it all out!
Dress the paper with olive oil/oils of choice & burn corresponding incense for extra oomph. To add in some candle magic - Dress a candle & pray over it. Hold the paper and wave it around the lit candle (carefully) 3 times clockwise to bring in. To banish something out of your life wave it 3 or 9 times counterclockwise around the candle. Visualize and/or feel what it would feel like if your petition were already true. Pray to Saint Joseph (I posted one of the prayers below). Then place it under your sleeping Saint Joseph.
If you don’t have a statue, a candle with his image, a printed picture of the sleeping Saint Joseph or prayer card or even your own drawing/painting are all great options!
Saint Joseph, pray for us! <3

It’s just about time for both Lammas and Lughnasadh festivals to kick up, so I figured it would be a good idea to talk about the differences in these two festivals.  They are often considered interchangeable but that couldn’t be further from the truth, and while this is by no means an exhaustive history lesson, I hope it’ll be a good jumping off point for those trying to figure out how they want to celebrate the harvest.

How a bruja binds rainfall
Tumblr media
A simple trick for when the weather isn’t agreeing with your schedule
Take a knife and while it’s pointing away from you, anoint the blade from the base to the tip, with holy water or olive oil. After these, speak your intent to the four winds, to bind rain away until you’re done with your business, and stab the earth with the knife. Leave the knife stabbed in the dirt or even a plant pot, doesn’t matter. As long as it’s there, it won’t rain. The winds and rain will be released when you take back the knife.

https://courses.zinzeudo.com/courses/Working-With-The-Ancestors-101
Day 10 & 11 of Countdown To Working With The Ancestors 101. If you are interested in learning to work with spirits of the dead and ancestors, then check out my new class on working with the ancestors 101.
Today's post is about my great grandparents, on my paternal fathers side.
My great grandparents were born in Ireland. My great grandfather's name was Patrick McNeeley. He was born in 1894, and both of his parents died before he was 20 yrs old. I don't know where he was from in Ireland, but I do know that he and my great grandmother were together before coming to America and got married in ohio.
My great grandmother's name was Ella Theresa Treacy. She was born in Clogh, Cappalusk District, Galway county, Ireland, in 1894. When I look back at some of the records, I am confused because they say she was the head of household, but it also says married, not widowed or divorced? There are so many mysteries looking into my family's past. I did find something interesting when going through records from my family in Ireland. Apparently, close to where some of my family is from, there was a famous pirate queen named Grace O'Malley. The more I learn about my ancestors and my past, the more I grow. This statement is not true for everyone. Not everyone feels this way. Some people have a disconnect to their family and ancestry, and that's OK.
As I post these small descriptions of my family, I feel the power growing between me and them and their assistance in helping me with my daily life.
