but! heres a few headcanons with mk next genners an a stimming reader!

Cassie Cage with a reader who stims!

she gives you gum she's always got some especially if chewing is one of your stims shes got a pack of gum just in case just for you

she found out it was stimming by accidentally being mean "can you stop that? its getting annoying" "youre stimming? oh, my bad, nevermind"

she probably has stims of her own but doesnt realize it will catch on to hers after she's started catching onto yours

gets curious about what counts as a stim for you "hey you keep doing that thing with your hands, is that a stim too?"

the next person to make fun of, mock or otherwise be rude to you about your stims gets the cassie special she lives by the phrase "talk sht get hit" of course she'll snap a few quips before it gets that far but she's not letting anyone bother her partner let alone let anyone make you feel insecure about it

expect teasing about how cute some of your stims are esp if you get excited or happy and stim, those are the cutest.

Jacqui Briggs with a reader who stims!

much like cassie she'll tease you about stims she thinks are cute "aawe i love it when flap your hands"

if you like things that light up for visual stim reasons she will use it as an excuse to show off her gauntlets like the gif above girls very proud of them, shes cool like her dad

if you ask she'll let you play with her hair youre probably one of if not the only person she'll let touch her hair not counting her dad.

she didnt need to ask when she first noticed your stims she just knew

if anyone tries mocking your stims they get the stare unlike cassie who will be the loud and aggressive type shes the quiet intimidating type she will intervene if she needs too

most likely person to have some sort of fidget or stim toy on hand

however she will ask you to stim another way if youre a pen clicker. the clicking noise of buttons gets on her nerves really fast "its bad enough i already gotta listen to cassie popping bubblegum, babe"

Cassie was a city girl and had a hard time adjusting to the Gulch. That when Compton introduces her to bee keeping.

This is so smart like....Compton being really in touch with zoolepathy makes this so clever. She's talking about how different it is than the city, how spread out everything is, there's no bustle like what she was used to, and Compton is taken aback because things tend to be super sprawling and busy to him even in the countryside to him because he's always listening to the animals. And the hives are the most like the tightly packed urban areas she remembered so he shows her them and shows her how to listen to the bees. And Cassie reminds Compton of the bees, her clever nature, her constant need to stay busy and be the most efficient worker on her personal projects, etc.

I think that could be such a sweet thing to make the two connect like initially even, like that's sort of what makes them close to begin with and it ends up just being their 'thing', talking through the bees and bonding through things like that... while I'm here I just wanted to say that Cassie and Compton are so very much "has the capacity to talk for 10 straight hours" type friends. They have more times than countable stayed up straight up all night just talking about things. These two know everything about one another and all the secrets of the universe from all the talking they've done (/hj)

Just... thinking about Cassie and her bees, ya know?

And uh... I really, really like the concept of Cassie referring to herself and her bees as us and we. I have no real (canon) reason for this idea, I just think it's neat.

Like, they're psychically linked, and she feels so close to these little creatures of hers that they (her and the bees) kinda become a singular entity in her mind, occasionally, especially at the times when their opinions or goals are closely in sync. When she was alone in the Gulch there was probably alot of that, this sort of melding, and even post-canon I imagine she'd be more prone to it– to slipping into the plural to describe self.

Just... because she's spent so long with the bees, all alone besides their company, and with both her and the bees completely wrapped up in this shared goal of protecting Cassie (protect the Queen! Protect the Hive!) It just makes sense for them to think of themselves as a unit, with the bees being an extension of herself and her will, and Cassie being an extension of the bees and their will. I wanna get into the nitty gritty of psychic connections and how a link like this might work, how it might affect the psychic doing the linkage and what they're linking to, how there's probably feedback (not to mention factoring in that the bees are psychic, too), but this is meant to be a short post, so maybe later.

Anyway, I just think it'd be neat. Like, imagine the first time someone asks her (her, singularly her) a question and she responds by saying, "We think that's a great idea!"

And the other person's like... "Uh... We?"
