There was an app that showed a secret camera view of me in class and I had only realized around a year after and I saw a review on the app from my grandma and it said, “It was ok, he slept too much though,” and it was a two star review.

Every day I'm so mad that I don't have a full kitchen broadcasting setup (or the time / physical space to invest in that right now). I watched part of a video about some guy cooking hot dogs from one of those licensed nerd property cookbooks, & no hate to this specific video guy but I did not really like his video & it made me go "I should make my own some day". The thought of going through those weird video game property cookbooks & seeing if they're any good or not sounds fun. The people are clamouring to watch a weird 30-year-old woman eat mediocre hot dogs in front of a live audience. And I felt such a genuine pang of sadness when I realized I can't do that right now LOL

would you please elaborate on your comment "renowned hack frank miller" ? i haven't read much from him yet but i like to listen to informed people tell me why [thing] sucks because it's funnier than dc wiki
when someone tells me their favourite comic writer is frank miller my response is the same as when someone tells me their favourite films are american psycho and fight club — i immediately prepare for an irish exit from the convo.
both (some of) miller’s work and those films are influential pieces of art with explicit political ideology, but while american psycho and fight club are (frequently) misinterpreted satire, miller is genuine to the point of hilarity.
if u consume batman as a character in any capacity u cannot escape miller’s influence — batman: year one is the pretty definitive starting point for most fans (and filmmakers, like matt reeves with the batman 2022), and miller’s visual style is a cornerstone for modern comics. the dark knight returns effectively changed how comics were viewed by readers, and is credited with kickstarting the modern age of comic books. i cannot emphasise that even if u haven’t read a miller book u have certainly encountered someone else inspired by his work.
with that said — miller writes like how a racist libertarian who believes his own hype would write about superheroes. greta, u must be wondering, that seems like an awfully specific descriptor to assign to someone. and normally u would be right!
the because im batman schtick that every sixteen year old nolan stan with a twitter account ran into the ground circa 2014 started because of miller, and his success in the 80s led to a number of ill advised projects fueled by his own hype. all star batman and robin was an uncritical interpretation of bruce that embodies all the worst misinterpretations of dc characters, including the justice league, that miller then tried to espouse was satire. unfortunately, he is not smart enough to punch up instead of down — the absurd hypersexualisation of women doesn’t become satire just because you’re laughing at readers in the script, frank.
this, in turn, led to one of the most virulently racist comics ever published — 2011’s islamophic nightmare fuel holy terror. he should not be taken seriously as a creative force, and he should not be the foundation of what comics should be. at least alan moore is marginally less obnoxious and fully admits that the killing joke was a bad idea.

having a moment again about the way the wolf 359 live show is staged: hera stands apart from the others, and only eiffel ever crosses over to her. eiffel regularly looks over at her while he’s speaking to her, something the rest of the crew doesn’t do, and something i’m considering as close to canon confirmation as possible for the idea that eiffel makes eye contact with hera’s cameras (while everyone else just sort of talks upwards.)

Godzilla: Minus One subverted my expectations in a welcoming and refreshing way. While the revolutionary CGI is what upon first glance, you will think is the main focal point of the film. This film actually takes a larger focus on the human stories. While most Godzilla films generally have them, they are always trying to set up the next one because people like money. However, the human tale in this one is a complete story, it has a introduction I don’t think anyone will expect, a mind blowing second act where your heart sinks to your stomach ANYTIME the beast we know as Godzilla is on the screen, and an ending that rivals even Oscar winning films. You come out of this film just feeling good. The characters are very likable. While some stand out more than others, there isn’t a single character with wasted screen time. Visually, Godzilla is the best he’s ever been, simply PUSHING THE LIMITS of any modern day CGI. This attributes to the fear that these people are seeing when viewing this beast. It is directed in a way where you can’t help but just hope it works out, and it’s awesome. There is no super intelligent main character and an unfair advantage the humans have. It is DEFINITELY not last years, Kong v. Godzilla. It takes some getting use to seeing Godzilla in a grounded format, don’t expect this to be visual spectacles and explosions for 2 hours. Speaking of two hours, the run time could have been implemented a bit better, but that being said, I can’t think of a specific scene where I didn’t enjoy watching, so could be just personal nit picking. In the end, I loved the characters, Godzilla is (no pun intended) a beast, and the ending is extremely feel good and satisfying. Check this out for something different than status-quo Hollywood Blockbuster films. This is Godzilla the way he was intended to be portrayed. I’m gonna give “Godzilla Minus-One” a 9 out of 10!
9/10
+Visually pleasing.
+One of a kind story with very interesting characters.
+A final battle that is summarizing and satisfying.
+Near perfect ending.
+Set design is amazing.
-Some pacing issues.
