I think the vault dwellers of vault 101 should have been more fearful of the lone wanderer, especially upon their return to the vault. Particularly Butch. Like, here's this kid Butch has bullied and pushed around for the grand majority of both of their lives, said bullied child grows up and leaves the vault in a violent spray, only to come back later, and definitely, definitely not be the same person as when they exited. Butch is arrogant and cocky, he would never admit fear, but I do think it bothers him to see lone in this way, because it is scary. They are *not* the same person, the wasteland has changed them.

It was a horrible, awful reminder of the brainless decision she made with an equally brainless individual, and she needed to get it out of her possession immediately.
