Once again thinking about how objectively funny Sabezra is to me. Like barring how much I believe down into my bones they are soulmates, think about the sheer hilarity of Ezra Bridger, pride of the shatterpoint lineage, great grand-padawan of Mace Windu himself getting married to Sabine Wren, a barely force sensitive mandalorian, heir to the disaster lineage, grand-padawan of Anakin Skywalker.
Mace Windu would ROLL in his grave ROLL

I feel like if you think about it, Pearl could've rebelled from the rebellion itself. She could have said "I'm a free Gem now, I bow to no one! I'm leaving to explore the world/galaxy, goodbye!"
(and that would have given Pink/Rose seventeen more layers of trauma, but we're not going to get into that right now-)
But she didn't. She chose to remain by the side of her Diamond.
And I just gotta wonder, at one point did she stop staying out of her role as a servant and start staying out of love? When did the path of one perspective end and the other begin? Were they ever truly separate in the first place? It's clear that Pearl was in love with Rose for like, ever, but when did she decide that she was officially choosing her own love for Rose over her programmed loyalty to her? Did she ever fully separate the two feelings?

I don’t know how to explain it, but Pisaeng nagging Kawi about his busted ass phone is the most relationship thing ever.  They might as well get married at this point.

I understand why the "oh you're a fan of X? name five of their albums" thing is a meme, but if someone came up to me, saw the shirt for a musician I was wearing, and asked me to talk about them on the spot, I would genuinely be so fucking stoked about it.

Literally advice i gave my 18-year-old female AA friend i was like "listen two things about male affection. 1. It's the most worthless commodity on Earth and 2. It don't ever come for free

i try not to judge people based on who they follow bc people have different tolerances etc and not everyone is as online and obsessive detail-noting as i am but there are definitely some people on this website that show up on my dashboard that i'm like, dude. dude.

Honestly i feel like we need some really bizarre Doctor Who news to come out right now, just so the UK can have it’s own special November 5th-style whiplash.  As a treat.

I think something that's so interesting about existing in multiple fandom spaces on here is just the wild dinamic shifts between just the bloggers themselves
Like there are 'big' dsmp blogs and if one you like interacts with a post of yours that's fun and cool
When a yugioh blog I'm a fan of is in my notes
Ya there's twelve of us like cool ig but also the vibe is very different someone from the lunch table next to mine just looked over like hello! Hope you enjoyed the visit???

I think there's no greater indication that disco elysium is sympathetic towards communism when it literally says "communism is failure" and then the literal gameplay itself rewards trying and failing. The most obvious one being the Shivers check at the FELD mural, which is an Impossible 20 check BUT opens itself up again and again the longer you spend in the world doing things, but even just looking at sheer probabilities, for any given white check, rolling first and THEN putting a point into that skill upon failure is more likely to grant you success than putting a point first and then rolling, but that would require failing first.
Other things too: Precarious world saying you'll 100% fail red checks no matter what (not necessarily a bad thing, btw!! throwing the boule into the sea is a success but like. in some other ways one would want a perfect petanque throw instead. but people wouldn't typically assume that failure is desirable sometimes from the start) persuading you to accept that you'll fail some things that is irrevocable, for a world where everything is just a tiny bit easier.
The faux game over screen when you faint after reading Dora's letter— emulating a sense of failure on the scale of the entire game. When it rolls up most people go "What?? Game over?? No way, what did I do wrong!!" and waking up after that, with no huge or lasting impact on Harry's health or morale really tells the player, "Sometimes things will seem so bad that it all seems like it's coming to an end, but it's not the end, it's really not the end, go drink so water, you can still go on despite this failure"
I'm sure there are other things as well that are eluding me but like. The literal gameplay rewards failing and succeeding far more so than simply succeeding every single time, and I think you get a fuller experience of Elysium that way too

yk when you see someone share a finished handmade item that they clearly spent a lot of time and money on and it's just. The absolute tackiest thing you have seen in your life. And then you ask yourself why someone would waste all those resources on such an eyesore.
(no, of course you can't relate to that because you're a much nicer person than me)
In any case.
BEHOLD!

A wool coat!
The top fabric is handwoven and handspun, the whole thing is sewn by hand, too.

Leftovers. Barely anything, all things considered, which is very satisfying.
This thing took me well over 3 years to make, on and off. And now I'm done.
Thank you for your attention.

being an older sibling is like. you've never known a life without me. mom yelled at me and it taught her she never wanted to yell at you. I painted my room purple and grey and then you did too. we live in the same house but I haven't spoken to you in months. I don't know your favorite color. I saw it was going to rain so I picked you up from school on my way home so your books wouldn't get wet. i was so worried when you woke up sick when you were three. you don't remember being sick. mom and dad made their worst mistakes with me and I'm glad they didn't make them with you. I'm doing everything for the first time so you won't be in the dark. I don't know any of your friend's names anymore. I used to know them all. if something happens to mom and dad you won't have to worry because everything will fall to me. you don't like to be home alone but even if you don't see me just knowing I'm there makes you feel better. at least that's what mom told me. you still give me jars to open for you because you can't quite get them. I only see you during dinner. i'd never even think about missing one of your concerts. I stand at the counter when I eat and now you do, too. when offered a selection of books you picked the same one I did when i was your age. I'm terrified you compare yourself to me. I love you. I don't know if you like me. I want you to. mom says dinner's ready

Tumblr skews young, so let me just share this.
The worst thing you can do in a job is not be bad at something. It's to say you are great at something while being bad at something. If you need to improve and you're upfront that you're not the best, people will probably help or teach or explain. They will sympathize when you get put on a task you're not qualified for.
If you claim to be awesome at something when you demonstrably suck at it, all of that good will and sympathy is gone and it will not come back.
Confident is good. Stand up for yourself, know your skills.
But the other side of this is to Know your Faults.
This message brought to you by the 23yo who bragged about how he was great at X and had the best program for it, and I spent the weekend doing his job for him because he is so so bad at it, and only about 5% of what he did is salvageable.
