Author’s snip: This idea came to me when thinking about a few headcanons that I have and then thinking about how some of the slenderverse guys would react to you speaking a different language.

Notes: There is no specific language and also if you can speak more than one foreign language that’s awesome. And if you have a native language feel free to place that here too. I just felt like making something for my bi-/multi-lingual peeps.

He’s actually the one who gave me the idea for this because I hc that he knows how to speak Spanish

Idk where this hc came from but I just hc that he knows it to the point that he can hold a decent conversation and probably learned it from foreign language classes in high school or whatever

Idk the foreign language requirements for Alabama high schools but I’m just gonna assume that that’s where he got it from

Anyways, if you speak Spanish then it’s fun for him since you guys can talk in a completely different language which feels weirdly fresh to him. Maybe you can help his Spanish become better by doing that

If you speak another one that’s fine too

Jay would probably get curious and ask if you can teach him some words in that language or maybe even how to speak it a little

If English isn’t your first language and sometimes only remember how to say a word or thing in your native language then he’ll have a bit of fun trying to guess what your trying to say via you trying to describe it like it’s charades

You: It’s like… a bug…

Jay: Okay.

You: But like, it’s not born that way, it’s something else at first. Like a worm?

Jay: A caterpillar?

You: Caterpillar! Yes but then it turns into something?

Jay: Oh, a butterfly?

You: Butterfly! Yes!

He thinks it’s fancy that you can speak a foreign language

Even if it’s not one of the fancy or romantic languages like Spanish, French, or German or whatever languages are considered fancy to know

I actually think he wouldn’t really notice till you were on the phone with a relative or talking to someone who only speaks that language

Once he does he asks you what language you just spoke and what you said

He does the same as Jay where he’ll then ask you to teach him some words and even laugh at some that he thinks sound funny

It’s not to be mean when he laughs obviously

He just thinks that some of the words sound funny

If you forget how to say a word in English then he’ll let you take your time trying to remember

He does however think it’s cute when you try and describe it by trying to imitate the sound that it makes or describe what it looks like

Tim

He doesn’t know how to speak any languages other than English so he finds it interesting whenever you start speaking in any language other than English

Soon he actually likes it when you do at some point even if he has no idea what you’re saying

Idk he just likes hearing you talk

He’d gladly let you teach him some words

Hell, maybe at some point he’ll even ask you to teach him how to speak it so that he can have conversations with you and understand you

It’ll obviously take him a while to get the hang of it but he finds it pretty fun

If the language you speak has weird vocabulary and grammar he’s definitely gonna ask questions

Tim: Wait so even if there’s way more girls than boys in a group, you still use the plural for the boys in Spanish?

You: Yup.

Tim: That’s a bit sexist.

You: Haha, yeah.

Look me in the eyes and tell me that he knows any type of foreign language or words that aren’t known in mainstream media or foods

He thinks it’s so fucking cool that you know how to speak a language fluently

No, because he thinks it’s so attractive that you can speak a foreign language regardless of what language it even is

He also begs for you to teach him since he wants to be able to talk to you and even flirt with you in it

He likes to use you teaching him how speak that language as a form of date

Maybe once he knows enough to have a basic understanding then you guys can watch movies with the dub of that language so that it’s still a movie date but he’s also still learning how to speak it

HABIT

So I have this hc that since he’s humanity’s bad habit. He inherently knows all of the languages in the world and maybe even some forgotten ones

He’s a weird inter-dimensional demon so it’s not that crazy to think that

Plus he canonically knows French since some of the videos he’s put in the EMH channel’s titles are in French

Im getting slightly off track, anyways

What I’m trying to say is that you can have a full on conversation with him in the language that you speak

Even languages if you’re tri- or multi-lingual

He won’t teach you any tho

He doesn’t have the patience for that

But 100% if you wanna talk in any language at all, you can just start speaking it and the second he realizes which one you’re speaking he’ll just start talking in it

ok vlad i mean william whatever you say mate. the reddest flag is when he made us walk to him with his special powers like damn bro chill we can talk this out. we didn’t even show any intention of running. actually im not sure what would be worse, him forcing us to do something against our will with his powers or him chasing and grabbing us also forcing us against our will. 6/10 he distracted us from that weird magic show lowkey i wish we were paying attention tho. he does seem a little nice tho

God those events were so much fun, they were so unhinged at times lol To be honest, I don’t remember how both groups handled the main “challenge”, but the non-sports club got concerned about people disappearing faster, that’s for sure. The sports clubs just went “idk, who cares? Maybe he’s just asleep somewhere”…

Whenever Vargas gets to talk, it’s always wild and mildly concerning, the man is crazy. Now that I think about it, seeing his vignette would be great lol

It would be a shame if we never got the rest of the staff cards. They don’t get a lot of screen time, but all the tidbits of information that we get about them are so interesting. I’ll bet that we’ll get those cards eventually, but it’ll take quite some time…

I don’t think Kalim is completely innocent and doesn’t have any sexual desire whatsoever, I just headcanon that she would be more focused on Jamil.

part 2/9 of the fic!! And, i decided to write kazui instead of Mahiru because i realized that mahiru's in a wheelchair. but i also don't have a clue on what's going on with that man. so i may or may not just make two shidou parts.

again, this is unedited and stuff so it may be a little confusing. I also haven't written Yuno's perspective. at all. so uhm bear with me idk her character that well

The Milgram prison was usually pretty cold, but today, it was cold in both senses. Yuno’s straitjacket helped, but her school uniform underneath was not a benefactor in her warmth.

She was fine though, and still got by in her room, under the sheets. Hmm… this is comfortable, but I have to go eat.

She resolved to get out of bed, loosely flattening her hair, tying it up into a ponytail so it wouldn’t be too much of a mess.

Opening the door, she sauntered over to the place where she could prolong her life by another few hours, continuously. Like a little checkpoint.

She came over to grab the food that was left out for her, and that too was cold. At least they thought of me.

She slowly ate it alone. It tastes dull. Who makes this? Whatever, I’m thankful that I’m getting free food.

It was bothersome to go through the motions like this, the prison environment with a tangible fog of depression and despair, but she did it anyway.

A small clinking sounded from outside of the cafeteria. Ah, the warden. I suppose they’re fun to tease.

They stepped in, cape clutched to the areas of their bare skin, until they saw her and let go of it to appear more formal.

She snorted. They’re like an animal standing on its hind legs to appear intimidating. They’re less scary than an everyday person.

They scowled at her. “What’s so funny, Yuno?”

“You!”

Goosebumps formed on their uncovered arm and legs. Do they not have an alternate uniform to wear when it’s cold? “That answer is disrespectful. I will not tolerate it.”

While their words sounded intimidating, they avoided eye contact and their ears turned pink.

“C’mon~ Disrespectful? Stop being so uptight, you’re basically one of us.” She was going for more of a reaction, and she got it.

“I’m the warden! I- you- you know that.”

“Yeah, yeah. Keep repeating that enough and maybe it’ll come true one day. I too am, deemed by the stupid voices, ‘not a prisoner’, but look at me.” She indicated the straitjacket.

The voices had been less chatty today, but they seemed to have been bothering Futa more nowadays.

Es froze up at the question to their authority, and clenched their fist. “I’m not talking to you anymore. I don’t have time for your antics.”

“Hmm~ have fun freezing to death! I hope your room has good heating! If not, well, I think that’s one of many of Milgram’s flaws!” This’ll get a rise out of them. I need a good laugh.

They turned around to face her, scowling. “Milgram isn’t flawed. They’re just… busy.”

Wait, that’s actually concerning. She dropped her teasing tone. “Wait, do they seriously not have heating? Do you have no other clothes you can wear?”

Es bit their lip. “No.”

Jeez, that’s depressing… Wait, aren’t 15 year olds prohibited by law to work in conditions like that?

“That’s bad working conditions… you’re gonna catch a cold.”

“Stop being concerned, I’m perfectly fine.”

“Are you?”

“I have my ways of keeping warm.” Hm, like how? What could they have at their disposal?

Yuno ran through a list of things they would have access to in her mind. “Wait, so… blankets?”

Their eyes widened, and Yuno knew she had gotten it. “Haha, so you do use blankets. That’s kinda cute…”

They glared daggers at her, and quickly grabbed their food, a slight shiver going through their body.

They were pouting as they turned back to go back to their room. Hey, that’s kinda like how Mu does it… interesting.

A little image of Es swaddled in blankets, doing work with their little pouty face and rat’s nest of hair came to her mind, and she giggled.

Es purposefully bumped her shoulder on the way out.

The lingering smile that came from the earlier interaction faded away into a frown.

It may be funny now, but are they okay?

Only time can tell, I suppose.

this boy is perfect, it’s sure he already received some but still flustered every time it happens.

no matter if it’s given face to face or in his bag/locker, he’ll love it sm and keep them - even more if it’s unsigned even tho he would have known who this is

i can see him having a secret admirer and in this case he Wants to know !

he won’t force or search people if it’s just one but when he recognize handwriting he’ll want to know

he’ll probably fall for the person just with that and we’re almost sure that this man doesn’t care about appearance so yeah, np with him

if he ever find out who this, it’ll be weird at first to put a face and a voice on the person behind those letters

Ok now that I’m caught up with RWD s4e7,

(KINDA SPOILERY CHARACTER TALK INCOMING)

I feel like Kyana is rapidly becoming that thing that’s like,

“Oh yeah, everyone deserves grace and space to make mistakes and improve from them!

If I make a mistake I deserve to self-destruct as hard as possible no matter how much it’ll hurt my friends, to atone :)”

Very religious trauma there which fits with the monk part, though I think the thing I’m thinking of with sin and redemption is kind of a Catholic thing? Maybe? I’m Shinto/Buddhist I don’t know shit about that other than pop culture Christianity lol (Also I know Red’s Jewish so probably weird. Again I don’t know shit about this or her personal views though so I’m gonna stop talking about it)

Not that she hasn’t dealt with guilt and assuming the “it’s all my fault” all or nothing attitude before, but definitely prominent in this ep lol

Red has described Kyana’s actions as selfish before (leaving the monastery and specifically Aioni) (am I spelling that right I’m too lazy to look it up rn Austin I hope you haven’t fucked me with your interesting spelling decisions here /j) and I think her desire to hurt the Nautiloid ship somehow instead of fleeing when they had the chance is also a very selfish action that comes from a place of guilt and martyrdom

And I’m pretty sure it’s going to lead to tension with everyone probably but Dani specifically later, which’ll be juicy drama but also incredibly painful lol

ESPECIALLY if one of them dies in the attempt >_>

Good god imagine if Dani dies for good while fighting the master brain or whatever and then Kyana has to later come to terms with the fact that her desire to get out her frustration over being stunned (which I think is the main and most immediate motivator here) for most of the combat led directly to one of her friends dying

I don’t think she’d handle that well and if anything would probably reinforce her guilt complex and need to self sacrifice. Could head into a Kyana Batman dark solo arc 😂

Idk what the spell slot situation is but if I were Dani or VRLA I’d definitely have grabbed her and tried to teleport out somehow (even though I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t work bc of the willing creature clause)

Anyway, just to say, I’m not criticizing Red or Kyana’s decisions at all! Just rambling about my feelings on it bc it’s one of the first major decisions that Kyana has made that I personally deeply disagree with and think is coming from a reeeaallly bad character-flaw-driven place

Which is narratively super interesting! I’m just stressed about the consequences lol

i think i mentioned it in chapter 9 or somewhere around there i forgot. but yeah 👍 they’re dead basically. i answered an ask a long time ago about it and it’ll be talked about way more in the story at some point but basically Dew’s parents got in a car crash and died when he was 18 soooo that sucks

but before that, they had a really good relationship :D Dew loved his parents and they were awesome too, super supportive about the trans stuff and accommodating with the autism stuff and generally really nice people. but like. i know nothing else about them cuz i don’t really think about Dew’s childhood that much? cuz it wasn’t really that interesting? and not that important to the plot? idk :P after they died is when Dew moved in with his roomate besties, Layla and Hayden.

Dew obviously misses his parents a lot. his life changed after they died, and it affected his mental health quite a bit. Dew and his roommates lived in a shady part of town, they all worked minimum wage jobs and needed an apartment with cheap rent. and Dew didn’t go out much, he didn’t have much friends or that much of a social life. he was kinda lonely, even before he was taken by Anton. and… at the beginning of the story, that’s why Anton thought he’d be the perfect test subject.

who knows, if Dew’s parents never died and he never lived in that house, or if he was seen as someone with lots of friends and family, with lots of people who would miss him, maybe Anton never would have chosen him as his test subject in the first place.

(also because i feel like Dew having alive parents would complicate things and it’d just be kinda sad? but not in the fun way? it wouldn’t really be fun for me to write their reactions to the stuff Dew’s going through i think, so i’d rather just avoid it all together)

so yeah Anton was also an orphan and.. hmmmm yeah so i feel bad for like not actually like figuring out ANY of the details yet. but basically he was an orphan and did not know his birth parents. then Pierce found him when he was like 10 and was like “you seem smart enough do you wanna witness and commit the man made horrors with me” and Anton was like “YEAH!” idk man. like i actually don’t knowww

maybe Anton just showed up on Pierce’s doorstep one day and was like. “hi. i have no family.” and Pierce just raised him and taught him science because what was he supposed to do? he was torturing and experimenting on people in his secret basement lab i’m pretty sure Pierce wouldn’t have gone to court and gotten official legal adoption papers signed. plus, Pierce needed a lab assistant and someone to teach his science stuff to. they’re both just silly gooses man. Anton had no family he was like a sopping wet stray cat looking for a home!! i know this is like extremely unrealistic and probably sounds really stupid but like i just don’t know, i don’t think about this part of the story since it really doesn’t matter much to the overall plot lols

i’m not gonna talk that much about Pierce because it’s kinda spoilery but he was genuinely nice to Anton and kept him safe. Anton would have turned out very differently under different circumstances of course, Pierce just raised him with science in mind. That’s really all Anton ever knew.

I'm finally out of lurking yeeyy!!! I don't usually leave comments on AO3 cause I tend to side track a lot and then i feel a bit annoying but i figured here it would be fine <33

I've been reading liab for a loooong wile and just wanted to let you know that in my 10+years of reading fics your work is definitely on my top 3 and one of the coolest thing I've read in general. (Even tho you always update on the weekends prior to my exams week, but i have my priorities in order and Zukka is always more important than an oncology exam 😤)

Buuuut I'm on vacations now so my liab brain rott is high again, and i can think non stop about the great characterization of your fic (especially zuko's i think you do an amazing job writing him).

Last chapter has to be one of my favorites in the whole series fr, it mayy had to do with Zuko being super touchy feely and extra emotional honestly, but they needed a bit of love before they start giving explanations to literally everyone. I'm honestly a bit ( or a lot) worried about Sokka and Iroh's relationship, I'm sure that with time Iroh will warm up to him but with Sokka being as protective as he is right now i don't know if he would take kindly of him to try and push Zuko into the throne ☠️ but we'll see.

Lastly I'm sure we all love the 20k words chapters so don't even worry about it hahaha

Dudddeeeee yes. Iroh & sokkas relationship can go so many different ways. It’ll be interesting how they fit into each others lives especially knowing that Sokka knows Zuko who he is now and Iroh knows who he used to be and those two versions of Zuko are VERY different. I think it’ll also depend how much Zuko opens up to Iroh? Idk, Zuko can add a lot of unintentional tension there if he isn’t careful.

I said this before in my own blog, but I really hope that there’s actual tension and intimidation between Alastor and Vox, like I hope it goes way deeper than just edgy teen comebacks or “haha im way better than you boomer!”

Like as we know, vox is the only person that could make Alastor genuinely pissed off and curse, based off the comic (could be outdated but who knows)

And since he’s bound to be a bigger scope antagonist there has to be something between him and Al as rivals, I wanna see a fight between them. Idk I just want them to be actually intimidating to each other, it’s one of the only things in genuinely invested in the show

Oh yeah same here, as soon as I heard Alastor had a rivalry with a certain character, it did peak my interest since he (despite the flaws for me) is an interesting character within himself. However my biggest fear is that the relationship between him and Vox will just be a copy of Blitz and Fizzarolli, where they just throw petty insults at each other, and it comes more off as two annoying middle schoolers beefing with eachother rather than two intimidating rulers clashing because of their differences. The concept of someone who’s kept up with the times and someone who wants to STAY in his time could be interesting, especially since it’s literally Radio Vs. Television, the potential is there it’s just…..Vivziepop is the writer of this, and I’m worried that it’ll just be edgy coded. Viv did state that we would see a fight between Alastor and Vox, and while Vox himself isn’t necessarily a character I’m interested in or think will be all that good, I want him to be intimating too, especially since he’s supposed to be a villain. Viv in my opinion struggles with making characters intimidating for me due to her 6th grade level style writing, so I don’t have high hopes for both characters. All I can say is that I pray the rivalry isn’t anything like what the comic showed us.

How do you think Kaylee and Caleb think about Ryan and Chris? In ASB, Kaylee was trying to subtly push them together a bit, so I got to wondering how they view Ryan liking Chris and their dad liking Ryan. This sent me down a mini rabbit hole of thoughts that somehow led me to thinking, "Does Chris have something like a knot like in popular werewolf fiction?" I honestly can't remember how I got to wondering about that, and idk how it'd even work either, lmao.

Then, from that thought, I naturally jumped to the next randomised one, which was wondering about how Chris spent the year when Ryan wasn't there? The tapes he has of Ryan wandering around and staring into space got me thinking that maybe he'd watch those sometimes? They have eachothers phone number, too, so they call like they did a bit in ASB. It was just interesting to think about in the context of GP because the nature of their relationship is different. Chris has his obsession, and Ryan atm isn't quite on the same level rn, but he's still pretty fixated on Chris. With these things in mind, I just wondered how it might change how Chris feels/reacts to Ryan's absence during the off-season of camp.

Then, finally, I thought, "What if Ryan stayed with Chris during the off-season?" Idk what the circumstances would be, but Ryan just doesn't go home or doesn't live with his family anymore? I was thinking about what they'd do, obviously with Chris's parents around, he can't bring Ryan to the house. So they'd be at the lodge, or at least Ryan would be. It leaves a lot of room for potential domestic fluff or smut. Without the campers and counsellors around, Ryan would truly be in the wolfs den. I'd imagine Kaylee and Caleb might visit more without the noisy campers and nosy counsellors there.

i’d say, that they prob don’t think about it too deeply. like, ryan’s crush is pretty clear to everyone, who bothers to inspect his and chris’s relationships for more, than 2 minutes. but while kyalee thinks, that it’s fun and might be good for chris, i feel like caleb sort of avoids the topic. and not bc the hates the idea of it, more so, bc it’s very awkward lol. i mean, he’s the older out of the 3. he views ryan on the same level as kyalee, like as someone, who’s clearly younger than him. and his sister has a habit of having new, non-serious crushes pretty often. so he might assume, that ryan is the same in that regard. like that he’s confused or smth. and then, chris is his dad, who he considers to be good-natured, but a bit lame. not to mention, that ryan is around the same age category as them, and learning that your father is a ‘dirty old man’ surely doesn’t help, haha. so yeah, caleb would try to not dig too deeply into it. and nope, chris doesn’t have it, haha. i mean, in human form surely not. in werewolf one, he prob does, haha. but i struggle to imagine ryan surviving such an encounter tbh.

ah, that’s a good question. i imagine, that chris has a lot to do around the campground, even when no one is around. then, he and the rest of the hacketts prob try to track down silas and all that business as well. but i feel like, chris doesn’t really believe, that they would ever find him. one would imagine, that it’ll be travis, who low-key gave up on everything, when in fact, trying to kill silas is in part of what keeps him going. compared to this, chris has a more cynical view on it. at least, in my fanon, haha. i guess, i always picture him as a guy, who really wants to help others, but considers himself to be beyond help. or maybe, not even worthy of it. i mean, i feel like while fandom adores fawning over travis’s situation, no one ever considers why chris had to be the one, who runs the camp. i don’t think, that it was a gift from his parents. i actually, assume that he was ‘trusted’ (read conditioned) into that position, bc travis was always a scapegoat of the fam, but in a way, he was ‘let go’. he could do whatever, bc no one cared all that much, which is still pretty bad, don’t get me wrong. but with this in mind, and added fact, that bobby is clearly the favorite child, it would mean that chris was automatically put into position, where literally no one, but him could ‘inherit’ the hackett’s quarry. and where he had to be the one to have a family, and be ‘the ideal man’ or whatever. all eyes were on him, bc there were things expected from him. nothing was expected from bobby. and in a way, from travis as well, but for different reasons clearly. with this being said, i don’t think that chris had it ‘worse’ than travis or smth, it’s just that he had to suffer through different sorts of parental pressure and most likely abuse too. travis has a stockholm syndrome toward his family, and chris was basically conditioned into filling the role, that no one else could. sorry, tangled up, haha.

but like with all this in consideration, it’s fairly easy to imagine why he would get so obsessed with ryan. and yeah, he for sure would rewatch the tapes, and enjoy phone talks, that they have. he never had anything like this before. a thing to truly look forward to. his kids are adults, so in all fairness, they no longer need him like they used to, and i feel like chris gets very aimless, when there is nothing for him to do, no one to care for, bc he has no idea how to live for himself at all. and yeah, in GP ryan’s and chris’s levels of obsession are a bit different. i suppose, partly bc chris’s mental state is also worse, than it was in ASB. he tries his best still, but cracks are starting to show more and more often. as for how he feels, when ryan is not around for months, i think that it’s a tricky question. chris is party terrified of himself and what he can do, so rational part of him says, that it’s good that ryan is far away from him, and that it might be better if he never comes back. but then, he also always longs for him to be back all the same. need vs care. obsession vs common sense. chris is very morale dualed, haha. esp when it comes to ryan. but i feel like, he’s prob one of the rare kinds of characters, who can overpower his own selfishness more often, than not. like, if i had to put all my supermassives otps into situation, where they had a choice to basically keep their ‘better half’ with them or have a chance to let them go with hope, that they can do better, that it would essentially be better for them, only chris and andrew would be capable of smth like lmao. everyone else, ryan included, would have the ugliest tantrum imaginable. even john with a similar level of self-hatred as chris, wouldn’t have been able to stop himself from being terribly selfish and keep andrew, no matter what it would have taken. this is partly why chris was okay with ryan killing him in WCA. he just assumed, well, it would be better for ryan. kinda a dick move tho. like ryan killed people for him, and he then, asks him to shot him lmao.

and oh, funny enough, i had un-used plot, where ryan gets kicked out of the house by his mother. idk, where his grandparents are. maybe, they don’t exist in that au or they’re not close. so as result, ryan literally has nowhere to go. he asks kyalee and caleb, if they can hook him up with some temporary place, until he finds a job and will get out of their hair. but naturally, they call him an idiot and say, that he can just stay on the campground during that time, chris won’t mind. i imagine, that ryan would ask them to not tell chris why he’s here, make up some story. it also leaves a lot places for humor, bc ryan is city kid, he doesn’t know much about life in the country. but chris be there to teach him. so yeah, they would spent a lot of time together. just two of them. kyalee and caleb would also indeed have a chance to hang out with ryan more often, show him around and such. for a while everything will be alright with the world. which is smth that i really about the quarry tbh. their set-up is so deceptively cozy.

I have a KYM fanart WIP I started before ch4, and I was using my own appearance headcanons in it. My strilondes are Black and non-albino, and in ch4 it’s a point that Rose and Dirk are naturally blonde (iirc it was already mentioned previously? But wasn’t a big point). What would you like me to do about it? Also yeah, humans aren’t known to have purple eyes either lol so they *could* technically be Black, non-albino, and naturally blonde

Also while typing this I realized a grave error I was making. For some reason I’ve always imagined Rose Strider to have purple hair (currently all my Roses have purple hair if the setting allows it; main beta Rose is currently pale lavender though, all the others more dark purple; not much thought, it just happened). But if she isn’t naturally blonde, she should have *bleached* hair. My Dave literally starts out with bleached hair and grows out his natural black hair on the meteor (not as in “natural=good, unnatural=bad”, as in “bleached is Dirk, Dave is not Dirk”).

And now I’m thinking about the “she should just be Dirk” from the note to the first chapter and thinking about making a new Rose Strider design (I did one aaaall the way back in 2017, iirc very close to me just getting into HS, and I still use it. Props to the 2017 me though for realizing very clearly that Rose would still have the triangle shades in 2009!!!), and just, incorporating so much Dirk into it. And thinking through her life and incorporating so much Dirk into it.

And now I’m thinking, for Dave it was fundamental to break out of the Dirkness instilled onto him, what will all that be for Rose, who is *actually much closer to Dirk*?

Oh oh and, since I’m here, I’ll put the things I’ve wanted to write in the ao3 comment here too, as much as it’ll work. I’m *so* fucking emotional over KYM. as for an answer to your question, hmm!!! i'm honestly honored to receive anything so i don't have many answers to that!! especially because my actual race hcs for the strilondes are.... incredibly fluid and they just appear to me as what's fun in that moment HAHADFJG sometimes they're white, sometimes they're mixed and/or white-passing, sometimes they're black, sometimes they're black and albino. i dont think their hair colors are an indication of their race at all, rather it's more just another cue to whatever mutations they received during the cloning process, like, no matter what color their skin comes out as, rose always tends to have white-ish hair while dirk is blond-ish to me.

so ig do whatever you'd like with that info!! it's hard to pick one option with that because i like them all HAHAFJG

(god i do love a lavender-haired rose though 😭 every rose fanart design i see is my favorite idk how people can just decide on one... thankfully for me tho im a writer and thus can just sort of vaguely dance away from ever having to choose LOL)

will say though, YEAH, the way she dresses is very dirk. her hair is styled exactly like dirk's, too. what she wears specifically, though, definitely depends, because.... well, cuz the thing with 'rose is dirk' is that, as you've pointed out (and as i'll go on about later), there's a difference between being dirk and being RAISED by dirk. especially a dirk who is bro. so it is just as likely that rose is wearing an outfit reminiscent to alpha dirk as it is that she's wearing a smaller version of bro's outfit as it is that she's just wearing jeans and a black t-shirt with some generically edgy bullshit on it. bro isn't as adamant to controlling his children's fashion tastes as some of his other things, the question is more... would rose be interested in branching out like that? or would she care more about copying him?

there's also a running joke with my friends that rose strider actually just dresses in playboy outfits all the time because bro is a porn-rotted pervert with a hentai addiction. so sometimes i just imagine her with shades, gelled hair and a sailor fuku. lmfao.

it's fun watching everyone go insane going down the same mental paths i did whilst creating killswitch HAHAHJDFG... INDEED YES!!!!!!! you are absolutely right to say this... what does it mean for rose to go through the dave journey of breaking out of his brother's influence?

so what i'll say is this: KYM functions as a 'pre-canon' fic describing rose strider's backstory. if/when i get to continue on with the killswitch au, i will actually try and write down more of the details of their actual sburb session, where rose does get to go through a lot more of dave's actual plot points. dave starts off idolizing his brother before separation from him leads him to process his emotions about how he was raised. the same will happen for rose when she's in the game 🥰💖

Why is there no Gamzee’s color but both Dirk and Hal with Cal?

a lot of it is just a coincidence from that particular chapter that gamzee's influence isn't seen as much! my approach to lil cal is that he is an imperfect blend of every component he's made up of, and all of those components are souls constantly fighting for control. however, because of the nature of their personalities, some are able to be more in control than others.

'control' can also mean different things: it could mean that they get to control lil cal's dialogue (most of his dialogue is very reminiscent of caliborn), while others get to control what lil cal will focus on in the narrative (lil cal goin on about bro's RIPPLING BICEPS and PECS and how MAAAANLY he is was a reference both to caliborn's alpha male bullshit and also arquius/equius)

only one half of gamzee was sucked into lil cal which i think has done very weird things to how he's been integrated. in some way, this has put his ability to influence lil cal at a big disadvantage, especially when he's up against such huge personalities like caliborn or dirk/hal. i don't think he's as easy to spot and i think considering the nature of gamzee's personality, he's not exactly running to 'speak' or grab for control. he's just chilling. but his influence is there!!! especially when it comes to type of violence bro is encouraged to enact

sometimes the violence that bro enacts is because of caliborn but more times than not it is actually because of gamzee. gamzee intensifies bro's capacity to love and the way that twists into extreme excessive violence. caliborn's violence is aggressive, necessary, quick and blunt, which gamzee's is more random, more encompassing and, most importantly, WAAAAY more sexual. gamzee is the reason why bro is so willing to take and utilize drugs despite the way that contradicts alpha dirk's resistence to them and the reason he is still more than capable of expressing affection towards rose. bro obsessively obsessively Obsessively adores his little sister and this is all because of gamzee's yandere ass and we will see more of that in chapters to come >:3

.... anyway, to actually answer that question: there was no gamzee color there in ch4 because gamzee did not choose (or have the ability) to speak there

rose strider does not WANT to be rose, she does not want to be her own person (dirk does not want her to be her own person), she can't handle being her own person, she wants to be her brother. she wants to replace her identity with his. that is not psychologically possible which is half of why she's as fucked up as she is HAHA. rose is not a perfect clone of dirk. even clones would develop their own personality. twins can have identical dna and will still have their own personalities. it all depends on the circumstances of their experiences, theres so much that can define what makes up a person and that's really what i'm trying to explore with rose. just a whole bunch of identity fuckery hajfhgdjg

also AFAB DIRK W/ BRO IS DEFINITELY VERY INTERESTING because i think the difference between dirk and the beta strilondes is that when faced with their parental issues, dave assimilates and rose plays along. dave didnt try and resist his training. rose, when under the mindset that her mother wanted to engage in psychological warfare with her, didnt roll her eyes and ignore it and she didnt do a thing to shut it down. she engaged in battle!! she retaliated with her own mind games!! she took her passive aggression and returned it, which is why, to me, rose would take everything bro threw at her and try and return it tenfold.

but dirk hrmrmrmrmmm.... seems more naturally rebellious? and when faced with his own bullshit he argues against it, even while he's lowkey folding under the pressure. i think, in my interpretation of a brodirk plotline, i would use haldirk as an inspiration. constant bickering and arguing and trying to either grab for the upperhand or deflect whatever blows he receives, all while slowly but surely going fucking INSANE under the surface until it EXPLODES.

and like, listen, i feel bad for any strider child of bro's HJKDFGSDFG but i think dirk would hurt me so much cuz he wouldnt rly allow himself to have an outlet (which is relatable to me so uGHGHGH i FEEL ITTT).... i think out of all the strider kids he'd have the worst time with physical self-harm to cope and ugh the worst dysphoria too because of the ways bro would torture him about it (and he would get some of the worst bro torture imo too because at least dave is passive enough to not warrant punishment yknow and at least rose is strongwilled enough to brute force her way through much of the insults she gets. i imagine dirk would be rly weak to bro's verbal abuse and that on top of the physical and sexual shit UGH POOR DIRK POOR ALL OF THEM HONESTLY)

Welcome to the Taylor Swiftening Part 2! Where I am listening to Taylor’s albums in release order because 1. i think it’ll be funny and 2. i want to know what my friends mean when they say like, idk “this album makes me insane but i wont turn it off”

Last time I listened to Tim McGraw, Picture to Burn, and Teardrops on my Guitar. This time we’re starting off with A Place in this World, which also marks the start of songs i’m pretty sure i haven’t heard before!

I don’t know what to say I wasn’t expecting this opening!

It’s really interesting to hear a Taylor song not about a boy! wow! i hope there’s more. i don’t mind love songs or breakup songs, they’re great, but i really want to hear how taylor writes about other things too!

ooh love to have the weather imagery coming in! It’s actually raining right now so what a bonus. I love rain, i love rainy songs. she’s using it as a metaphor for that semi-transitional, liminal time as a kid where’s she’s able to do things by herself but hasn’t experienced much yet so she can’t tell what’s coming. also, i suppose there could be a connotation besides the actual reduced-vision rain brings by having a cinematic association with sadness?

I think in this song the rain isn’t leaning as hard on the sadness trope as it is making a journey less pleasant, since she doesn’t expand on it (rain = sadness). well, i mean the symbolism and the lyrics are a little bit lonely. rain forces isolation sometimes, even if you brave the weather, so i suppose the cinematic association isn’t too far off.

I really like this chorus, it’s simple, but listening to this now I am probably not getting the intended effect as i would have when i was like, still school aged, haha. I do love the “I’ll be strong, I’ll be wrong, oh but life goes on” that’s really nice to include. I love the message acknowledging the mistakes everyone will make growing up and that it’s okay! especially relevant to younger folks where every mistake and social misstep feels like the end of the world.

Return of the very classic country cues with the blue jeans! Love that. I miss jeans so much... anyways

oh i like the cycle of weather! The rain has cleared up now that she has some of her comforts with her (radio and jeans, which. relatable) she has decided that being open is a good thing and the sun has come out from the clouds! i was going to go on a tangent about how jeans are really comfortable and a symbol of blah blah blah but i decided it wouldn’t be relevant but she’s honestly using the jeans and music as her comfort items. like, yeah, if the last thing we know about her is her little black dress and her old faded blue jeans from Tim McGraw, then now she’s underlining that the blue jeans are like, stability or something.

the last three songs are about breakups and unrequited love, but the jeans survive! whatever partner you have might leave you but those jeans have spent years breaking in and are ready to support you on your journey!!! i miss jeans!!! why are they so expensive now!!!!!

This last part is chorus repetition except for

“i’m just a girl on a mission” is a wild way to phrase this... what’s the mission, i thought we were on a random road to a mystery tomorrow, not targeting a specific thing? i also don’t automatically associate mission and fly as, like, mutually exclusive. in fact, my first association with missions is flying (planes to a location, or parachuting spy-style into, like, a heist IDK), but i guess having a mission is very structured as opposed to the freedom that flying usually symbolizes, which is obviously the symbolism she’s pulling from with the uh.. long.. vocalization on the word

idk anything about music guys OTL this is where i apologize for calling things the wrong name and stuff as i listen through this.

This was a cute song. I can definitely see why it wasn’t a radio-hit like the first three, it’s a little more niche and less broadly appealing? I guess. I don’t know something something about repeating “im just a girl” four hundred times (it’s only 7 times) makes me think of that tumblr think piece that’s like “naming yourself [adjective]-man is the most trans thing a person can do”. i’m not sure if that means anything to anybody but me, but it feels like there’s an essay about gender performance in this song... even though there’s not barely any type of typically feminine-gender roles displayed here?

i really think the “i’m just a girl on a mission”, and my brain turning that to “james bond????” in the middle fried my analysis brain.

This next song is Cold as You. Glad that we seem to be carrying on the autumn/winter rainy, cold season metaphors!! I don’t think i’ve heard a Taylor song that could be described as, like, a cozy autumn song but I think one would be nice!

okay the intro sounded super familiar to me but I just looked up Big and Rich’s Holy Water and I think it’s just because of the violin sounds. Just re listened to Whiskey Lullaby’s intro as well and that doesn’t sound the same, but has similar vibes. is this a sad song?? like a really sad song? i know Teardrops on my Guitar was a more melancholy song but is this a tearjerker? I ask, excitedly.

oh i love this slower tempo for taylor’s voice! i mean, i like these types of songs a lot as opposed to boppier music so that’s probably because i’m biased. this first lyric, “you have a way of coming easily to me” reminds me of the lines “he’s the time taken up, but there’s never enough” and “strike a match on all my wasted time”

it’s not an exact (or even close) thematic match, but the vibes of those lyrics strike me as similar for some reason especially followed by the “you take the very best of me”

adjklsjf i misheard this as “i start a fire cause I need to feel something” and i was going “oh! oh! like picture to burn!” but it’s “fight”...

aww the last song did end on a sunny day and now it’s rainy. that’s a neat way to tie the song order together!

i’ll be transparent here, i do not know what this means. the first line “just walk away, ain’t no use defending words that you will never say”

i mean, trying to puzzle through it from start to finish “just walk away” is used to deescalate fights, right. don’t say things you don’t mean, don’t say anything that could be used against you, just walk away. but then the “ain’t no use defending words that you will never say”... “words that you will never say” in the context of this song makes me think of like, saying i love you or saying i’m sorry depending on what the fight is about.

if it was something like “just walk away and dont say something you dont mean” that’s a pretty straight forward if vague lyric but here specifically what does “no use defending words you will never say“ mean???

my first instinct is to interpret it as Taylor (or the narrator, i guess, assume i’m using Taylor as a stand in for narrator or song POV from now on) telling the other person to leave, as whatever things they would say, it wouldn’t be the right things to hear and Taylor is done retroactively trying to rationalize those words as being what she does want to hear.

i’m not sure i’m explaining it correctly, because it’s a very complicated concept to boil down into one line.... which is why im so reluctant to go with that interpretation.

i like the inflection she used here. but this kind of reinforces my first thought of the previous lines... referring to someone as cold is usually meant to imply that person is aloof, closed off, not as warm or as expressive of emotions in general. so i think i may be right in thinking this “you” doesn’t express enough verbally in this relationship. whether it’s specifically “i love you” or just doesn’t communicate in general, Taylor starts these fights to try and provoke some kind of reaction, but doesn’t get the desired effect (confessions of love, or opening up about whatever topic) and maybe Taylor used to rationalize this as being shy, or scared, but after enough times she can’t anymore and they can’t defend their position of not opening up.

that’s a lot for like, three lines.

wow, so this is further support. putting up walls is a metaphor for being closed-off, painting them gray is reinforcement of the previous (and to come i’m sure) chorus of “a rainy end to a perfect day”. so yeah, this is about a failure in communication, or at least... a misalignment of needs in a relationship.

“you come away with a great little story/of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you” is a buck-wild line. it turns the song from something lamenting this fissure of communication to a classic break-up/catharsis song.

also, it’s kind of awkward? it goes straight into the chorus so that “nerve to adore you” doesn’t have a resolution the way “shade of gray/ all away” does... i guess it serves to make the change very noticeable.

hrm, “you never did give a damn thing” is probably supposed to be more evidence of the uh imbalance in the relationship? the second line in the song, after all, is “when you take, you take the very best of me” so it’s saying that Taylor is the one giving, giving, giving in a very unequal relationship.

and then straight into, a BUCK WILD “you wouldn’t have told nobody if i died, died, for you, died for you” oh my GOSH that is so intense. like what is going on with that relationship that that is even on the table????

i do like that she didn’t repeat the chorus verbatim three times until the outro... the change up is nice in that it’s reinforcing her previous points, that she’s finished justifying things and presumably seeing the relationship as lopsided and acknowledging the hurt it’s given her i just.. hrm.

i like the song as a departure from the boppy tempos from before. idk, again i don’t know anything about taylor, if this is a fictional song or if she’s singing about an actual relationship, but i’ve definitely been on the other side of this where i’ve been called cold and walled off and uncommunicative, etc, when I know i was trying my best to reach out and engage in the relationship (friendship though, not romantic so maybe different expectations?) so i’m coming at this song from an extremely weird position that i know isn’t that common of one.

I like the song, and love the imagery of “never been anywhere cold as you”. i’m actually surprised i haven’t heard it before, it sounds like one of those perfect teenage angsty songs you’d use in, like, AMVs or something! but it’s not one i’ll probably listen to a lot just for, like, my mental health lol (im literally probably going to draw a lyricstuck to it hahaha)

This next song is The Outside.

It’s nice and upbeat so far...

I’ve noticed that these have all been first-person POV which is why I’ve just been using Taylor as shorthand for narrator so far. I guess that’s because I’ve heard she sings about her exes and stuff, so I just assume this is Taylor-as-POV for all the songs whether or not that’s correct..

so far this is pretty similar to A Place in this World as a song about a personal journey. That’s interesting, it’s neat to see two kind of coming-of-age songs?

oh i know this one! road less traveled by is a Robert Frost reference.

it’s an interesting metaphor considering... is it her career that is the road less traveled by? because that’s a wild claim, though i mean it fits with A Place In This World as well with the lines “don’t know what’s down this road, I’m just walking”. That road could definitely be the road less traveled as it’s hard to see while walking on it, and as a metaphor for a career i mean i guess she couldve gone to college and gotten a degree and started working retail like the rest of us but she definitely didn’t do that so it makes a kind of sense.

and if she felt type-casted or something by her music or the way those around her perceived her i can see her feeling like she’s stumbling away from being unique and poetic

hm okay so... either the road less traveled by took her so far away from where she wanted to be that now she is... on.. the outside or the chorus just went in a completely different direction.

i’m having trouble relating to these lyrics because, like, DUDE. being on the outside is just. standard.

i really do like the wording of “i’ve been a lot of lonely places/i’ve never been on the outside” though. like, yeah, it’s lonely, and it’s a different kind of experience.

who is the you who is she looking at? is it a good thing or a bad thing. did she take the road less traveled by to NOT see the you, or did she want to get closer.

oh this isn’t like A Place in this World, I see now.

i, is? is she still talking about her career? is this an unrequited love song? i don’t know, having a song talking about loneliness, outside-looking-in, and “no one notices until it’s too late to do anything” is very specific imagery i don’t think the song is actually going for.

there was such a strong opening, and now i’m kind of unsure and unsettled. is this a song about a career, wanting someone, or suicide? i’m not sure what to think and repeating the chorus twice over to outro isn’t helping.

Despite not being able to really parse the song, i do like the connection with the previous two songs. The beginning of this song and A Place In This World are really cohesive together. The “outside looking in” and “i would give it all up to be a part of this a part of you / and now it’s all too late” motifs are really strong coming from Cold As You, like. yeah, that probably did make her feel shut out.

also EVERYtime i hear her sing “on the outside looking in” i ONLY hear lauren lopez singing waving through a window as a vampire which is REALLY messing with my perception of this song in the most hilarious way. Cold As You and The Outside vampire POV

okay i was going to try and write up more than three songs at a time but Cold as You was a pretty dense song I’m still reeling from so I’m going to cut this here, get some breakfast, and maybe come back later and power through some more songs! i hope you’re enjoying this little excursion haha. please also take a moment to hydrate or eat if you need to! it’ll be like we’re sharing a meal together.

my appearance is kinda pale, pretty short (4'10), dark brown eyes and hair, short hair that has kinda spiky ends (like a wolfcut), and dark circles/eyebags haha. I have an alternative style (emo & scene/scenecore) and i wear things like spiked collars and bracelets, fingerless gloves, *those* type of boots, and LOTS of kandi! I also commonly paint my nails (mostly either black or rainbow) but i pick them a lot so they're very short.

my personality is very anxious, kind, smart, funny (according to my 5 friends), pretty insecure, shy, quiet, and tired. I get hungry easily but i only like certain foods. I have a bunch of disorders (GAD, SAD, MDD/clinical depression, Selective mutism, ADHD, insomnia, and potentially autism) and i get easily overstimulated/overwhelmed by sounds, lights, smells, etc. I have very intense interests that i love to talk about and write stuff for XvX also, i desperately want a significant other, idk if that's helpful but yeah ^^

my hobbies/interests are writing (specifically poetry & essays), reading manga, watching anime, drawing, reading regular books, listening to music, and making kandi stuff (bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc.)

my likes are bats, poetry, psychology, sugary foods, caffeine, nighttime, books, manga, anime, politics, philosophy kinda, emoticons, and making kandi ^_^

•inosuke’s first thought/impression of you would probs be ‘hey..that must be an important person.’ bc of your style

•He’s definitely going to challenge you to duals and the likes

•It takes him a while to figure out you don’t rule over any mountain and that you’re not a god

•When he does figure it out, he just clicks his tongue and calls you weak- specially due to your height

•But he keeps finding you intriguing, since not a lot of people he knows dress the way you do

•It doesn’t take him too long to understand that you don’t enjoy him yelling/screaming

•Of course, he can’t understand exactly why because most animals he’s grown up with growl and shriek and even Gonpachiro and Monitsu yell a lot

•You’re gonna have to take your time to make him understand that these things can easily overwhelm you, and even then it’ll be a long shot before he remembers not to yell around you but he’ll get to it eventually

•Your selective mutism is what puzzles him the most

•He knows you can speak, so why don’t you do so? He knows some people can’t speak at all but you can..

•In the beginning, he’s probably going to think you’re looking down on him and not finding him worth talking to

•So he’s gonna try and show you just how worthy he is by flexing his muscles and sword skills and.. flexibility

•It’s only when his friends tell him that you might just not be too comfortable with speaking that he understands you’re not looking down on him

•This’ll probably be the turning point of your relationship

•He’s gonna ask you a bunch of questions(though not yell them) about your conditions and he’s gonna try and take note to try and not trigger you, though he still finds you puzzling

•In some ways, he understands your desire to have a significant other though in his terms it’s a, um.. ‘mate’ but y’know

•Still, he finds it more virile to fight demons and assert dominance

•Y’know, once he’s gotten the hang of your conditions, he’s definitely gonna be sort of protective of you

•Like if Zenitsu starts screaming he’s gonna slap his head and tell him to quiet down for your sake

•He wouldn’t know what to do much with your anxiety and how to handle it too much, but he’s will try to offer comfort by reassuring you that you’ve got the king of the mountain to protect you !!

•He likes to put you in headlocks and ruffle your hair as a greeting

•And he most definitely wants to dress up like you do, thinks it’d make him more flashy(Tengen really influenced him)

•He’s going to help you make kandi! He’s super bad at it though and gets easily frustrated when he can’t make good ones like you

•I feel like he’d single-handedly go to Obanai and ask him to teach you poetry so he can impress you and ofc he’d get into a fight with the snake pillar cause the latter would refuse

•Knows a lot about bats, having grown up in the forest, and definitely tells you whatever he knows to show just how smart he is, but he also secretly likes seeing you happy you didn’t hear it from me

•On the other hand, he’s much less versed in terms of books and politics and though he isn’t interested in the latter, he’s gonna try and learn how to read so the two of you can spend time reading books together he’s such a closeted softie sldnejsjdb

•I cannot tell you how many times he’d pester you to draw him, he insists he’s one of the best models

•Would ask you to paint his nails too, but he can’t stay still for the love of him

•Okay, i’m sorry but before he learns of your dislike for bugs, he’s gonna bring you ladybugs as ‘gifts’

•But then quickly takes them away from your reaction and never brings any bugs back

•Despite Inosuke having really strong opinions, he’s not all that judgmental. For that reason, he also dislikes people judging him and his minions aka you, Tanjiro and Zenitsu

•He’s not against fighting people who contradict you

•I also feel like he’d compliment you a lot, but they’d always be weird compliments like ‘you look like a wolf’ and what he means is ‘you look regal and elegant’

•He’d give you lots of fruits since he’d know when and where to get the best ones and he thinks they’re healthier for you than sugary foods

•Also has a thing for sneaking you out during the night to stargaze or explore forests even though he’d been caught by Aoi/Shinobu a lot :,)

Unfollowing ppl complaining about ‘pede as self-care.

Is it better than the ‘98 anime? Production-wise yes, Tri had its own charm but it was also a 90’s anime and has the errors and cost-cutting to show for it. It’s also completely divergent from the manga bc it was still serialized as episodes were coming out— it’s basically apples and oranges to compare (haha).

Do I think it’s better than the manga? Not really. Again, the stories are diverging— Stamp is borrowing more from Maximum proper and has the full context to mold as it sees fit. Yeah the pacing is breakneck compared to the manga but idk I think it’s fun, it’s different. I was getting a little hesitant during ep 6 as many others were but by the end I was into it. A chaotic situation where two lives are in the balance? And *Wolfwood* is the one who has to make the tough choices of stubbornly keeping them both alive? That’s interesting! I wanna see how that goes! Make him even more of a parallel to Vash, why not? It’s also not even halfway through the season yet and I still have no fucking idea if it’s one cour or two so who knows how it’ll all shake out. I’ll reserve my final judgements for when the full thing’s out and done, but it’s not replacing or detracting from Max in any stretch.

Do I think the manga had its own pacing issues? Hell yeah. Backstories get rewritten and details tweaked as it goes on, the EOM was a very late addition that didn’t get much time to be expanded on, nor it’s connections to other characters beyond direct A—B influence. The fight with Legato in general felt simultaneously drawn out and too short. I’d like to know a bit more about Domina and Chronica, kinda a big deal to know there are even more independents and not really considered as a new perspective to the conflict between the twins. The ending is incomplete on an emotional level. Why did we not get Vash’s reaction to the tree?? Nightow could have gutted me harder with an apple than he did with confetti and I can only presume he didn’t have the pages left to do so. But I still love it. It’s one of my favorites now, I shed tears and laughed and connected to it and a lot of cool people through reading it last year. It made me remember how much I love writing. I’d never not recommend it to someone just because *I* didn’t gel with the ending after sitting with it for a bit. Sum greater than the parts and all that.

To continue the first analogy: Stamp and Max are more like an orange and a tart. Both contain the essence of something but convey it and interact with you in very different ways— as is the nature of differing mediums. An adaptation will never be 1:1 with the source material because there’s specific things you can only do or convey through each one and tweaks must be made. How the gutters are placed and arranged on a comic page cannot be perfectly translated to a camera pan. I’ve wiped my hands of expecting “perfect” adaptations anymore, I just want the new thing to recapture and expand on the essence of what I liked about the original.

Stampede is fine so far. I like the music. I like the animation. I like the extra bits of character interaction and flavor we didn’t get from the other two. It feels *enough* like Trigun, and that’s good enough for me.

But this is all just my subjective taste. If stamp doesn’t gel for you, it doesn’t gel. I’m just jaded from a very loud minority that shit all over it the moment the trailers dropped bc it wasn’t the ‘98 Nostalgia Goggles version of Trigun they remembered half-watching on tv a decade ago and poisoning the well. There are valid things to critique, I personally just want to crawl back up into my hermit shell with the episodes playing on loop and daydreaming about having that new statue.

There’s three flavors of Trigun to choose from now. Pick the ones you like and have fun.
