ima go ahead n answer both these at once if that's good w yall.
here's the referenced post for anyone who missed it.
I've posted a LOT about adoption before. feel free to search #adoption, #ethical adoption, #adoptee or #adopted, etc in my tags for those posts. if you can't find them bc Tumblr is shit at searching lmk and I will try to dig em up. I have a Google doc of organized/categorized Tumblr links because of the search function being such a joke
anyway that said. what I meant is that it is sooo obvious to most adoptees from a young age that it's a consumer industry and we are a product for sale. most of us who always knew we were adopted have that horrifying realization very very young, far too young to know how to deal with it. yes I am glad when other people figure this out too but it's a bit irritating for non adoptees to act like this is some mystical wisdom they alone could've uncovered when it's part of the trauma inherent to adoption to realize you were purchased 🤷
I'm not against adoption like some adoptees are, but I could write ESSAYS on my criticisms of the industry and how it SHOULD work. in fact, I have written essay length posts about it in the tags listed above. but ultimately nobody gives a fuck & NOBODY of any political orientation wants to hear that adoption perhaps isn't the utterly selfless flawless silver bullet solution to unwanted kids that everyone treats it as. yet statistically we KNOW most adoptees are extremely damaged by it, the research is there but nobody talks about it. nobody likes you if you talk about it. the walls go up real quick.
one of my favorite things is how adoption seems to be the ONE area that absolutely nobody respects lived material experience about. even loads of leftists/radfems who are always going on and on about the importance of listening to people's real, lived experiences will aggressively talk over us adoptees if we dare have the audacity to critique adoption/the adoption industry or acknowledge that it's fuckin traumatic even for an infant being yanked away from the only stimuli you knew for 9 months and put somewhere where you can't recognize yourself in anyone or anything for the next 18+ years. and that's best case scenario! scenario where they don't abuse you or spend your childhood guilt tripping you because they oh so selflessly took you in when nobody wanted you and now look how difficult you are, crying all the time n shit... just as 1 common experience I know many share from my own life and talking to other adoptees.
but nearly every time we try to talk about this, even if it has nothing to do with criticizing the adoption industry and we are JUST tryna get painful shit off our chest, some non adoptee or 8 is/are gonna jump down our throat (and often even say all the same shit our parents guilted us with as kids lmao)
it's also 1000% a feminist issue bc SO many mothers are forced into adopting out a kid they wanna keep, or adoption being available is used to justify forcing women to give birth instead of aborting an unwanted pregnancy when those women would otherwise choose the latter. not to mention the designer baby shit & the preference for white male babies... and the fact that it's human beings being literally sold as a good. Just because it's legal and isn't outright sex slavery or "forced labor" (tho adopted kids are so often viciously abused and often in those exact ways) doesn't make it right to buy or sell a human being, doesn't make it not human trafficking. & I say this as an adoptee who was ALSO trafficked as a teenager.

Funny heading to a blogpost on videogames that’s some sort of reference
Look, I already used the ctrl+alt+delete quote in a blogpost title. It’s February 2024, and it’s already a very wild year for gaming. We’ve had more layoffs than with the entirety of 2023, games shown off at events seem to be stagnating, interest in the art is waning. Youtube is filled with “modern gaming sucks” doomer blackpill videos. It’s a miserable time.
Is gaming just over?
Well, no. Of course not. The Sonic franchise has lingered for decades despite consistent failure. Games are more resilient than that.
Humanity’s relation to computing is still pretty fresh, and I’d say that despite the size and scale of a lot of it, we’re still going through major growing pains. Concepts like video games, the internet and special effects are still pretty new, despite being around for twice or thrice as long as most of the people reading this have been alive. Internal combustion engine -powered cars were invented in 1808, made mass produced in the 1910s, and even then it took until the 1950s for them to be common enough for the US government to bother designing cities around them. In the present day, many have come to resent the car-centric design mentality, even though the driving (no pun intended) factor behind them was mainly the same as with technology today: scientific and technological progression is unquestionably good, and therefore new and successful ideas should be pushed and relied upon as hard as possible. What could possibly go wrong?!
Video games are far from the only medium which is seeing similar problems. Movies have suffered greatly from a capeshit infestation, in which the abuse of VFX artists is valued over, you know, basics of good filmmaking, and the general public is clearly sick of it. On the internet, we’ve decided that megastructures like Twitter are better than forms of communication we’re good at, and it’s gone horribly wrong. We’re still learning the “do”s, “don’t”s and “who the fuck thought this was a good idea”s of tech.
Games as an artform are as alive as they ever were, but the sheer scale of the operations has grown to a point where nobody can really understand it. The numbers behind playerbases and the money traffic have so many zeroes that you can’t even fathom the number. Even if I used some metaphorical figure, like 20 000 cars. Shockingly, despite how console sales haven’t really increased in numbers (the top selling console of all time is still the PS2), most of the top-grossing games of all time are relatively recent. This implies that the behaviour of consumers has shifted from purchasing a variety of different kinds of games into purchasing fewer games of fewer different kinds. And I don’t think it’s a case of customers deciding to shift over naturally.
In the past decade or so, the gaming industry has decided sensible experiences are a way of the past, and the future is making games for debt and making back the money with horse armour and other garbage the general public doesn’t really want.
But we’ve seen this shit before. In the 90s, 3D was “the future”, and 2D pixel art or hand-drawn art in general seemed to go the way of the dodo for polygons and ““realism””. About a decade later, 2D art would see a resurgence and in some cases overtake the big lads in lasting impact. In the end, people crave personal stories, varying ideas, and interesting ways to tell them. Not much has changed since ancient Greeks, besides that the medium of storytelling has largely shifted from some guy standing on a stage, trying to explain another world, to electronic devices actually showing us the other worlds.
I think as we play out the Icarus stories in real time, we’ll also learn when boundaries are pushed too far, and the scale of the bullshit simply collapses in on itself. When that happens, the public is forced to step back and reevaluate the ways we thought were the future, and what really is better for all of us.
When a storm flattens a forest of dead, decrepit trees, the sun and rain can now reach the ground and cultivate a new generation of different plant life. Once hidden beneath the dead corpses, now able to grow and bloom in a way the old generation never could. You should just keep doing what you think is right. Now’s the time more than ever to be the backbone of a better industry, for many applications of tech, from games to communication. And it’s better, if the backbone comes from the grassroots, and isn’t defined by the megacorporations. Because those cunts will never learn from their failures.

Fast fashion is out, Slow fashion is in!
The detrimental effects of the fast fashion business on the environment and society have come to public attention in recent years due to social media. Fast fashion is the activity of mass producing inexpensive, trend-driven apparel that encourages consumers to buy more in a short time span and soon discard it due to the garment going out of style or because of its poor condition after a few washes. As a result, there is now a culture of wasteful fashion consumption, which is terrible for the environment. One of the biggest fast fashion companies of our time, SHEIN, reported an eye-dropping revenue of USD 22.7 billion in just 2022 (KrAsia 2023). This can be due to the influence of microcelebrities and how quickly people jump on to new trends without thinking about where their products are coming from. As consumers are becoming more aware of the origins of their products, companies are also starting to implement more sustainable and eco-friendly fashion to their businesses. Some companies that are working towards a more sustainable fashion industry include Monki, H&M and Levi’s. I believe many people have already explained what slow and fast fashion is, so I will be sharing some ways to minimise waste and to make more sustainable fashion choices!
Recently, thrifting has also become a trend! Thrifting refers to the act and process of purchasing old products from secondhand shops (Okafor 2022). However, thrifting can be done online now such as through Carousell and Facebook Marketplace. According to ThredUp’s Annual Resale Report from the previous year, thrifting is developing into a global phenomenon and is anticipated to increase by 127% by 2026 (Quick 2023). Thrifting has become popular since users on social media have started regularly posting their thrifted gems online such as TikTok and Instagram.
To be able to thrift, we need people willing to sell, or even donate old clothes, which is also a sustainable way to participate in fashion. We may not notice this issue but there are a lot of people that do not have access to basic necessities such as clean clothes, running water and food, the things that most of us take for granted all the time. Donating clothes to the needy and those living in poverty is not only a meaningful and kind gesture to those that need your help but it’s also good for the environment! Your old clothes or pieces that you don’t wear anymore won’t end up in landfills but will be relayed to someone that needs it more than anything.
Don’t be afraid to play around with old clothes! After a certain period of time, we may find a piece of clothing boring or not suitable for our aesthetics or taste. To spice things up, we can experiment with tie dye, bleach, embroidery and more on old pieces. If you’re handy with sewing, you can even take apart old clothes and turn them into completely new creations such as tote bags, blankets, pillow covers and more! How cool would it be to have your very own blanket made out of a bunch of old clothes?
This is more on the obvious side but buying less clothes can directly help protect the planet and those suffering due to unfair labours. Oftentimes we get the feeling that we “don’t have anything to wear” or “don’t have enough clothes” but this is far from the truth. On average, clothing is typically worn for seven times until they’re disposed of (Nizzoli 2022). In 2022, the population is buying 60% more clothes compared to 2022 (Nizzoli 2022). This results in an 18.6 million tonnes of textile waste and clothing to be thrown away globally each year (Nizzoli 2022). Whether we subconsciously think that we do not have enough clothes or are peer pressured into fitting in or catching up with trends, this can severely affect the environment as we are contributing to a large amount of waste for absolutely no reason. Before you purchase anything, think about where this product comes from and whether you really need it. If you don’t, put it back, the planet and your wallet will thank you!
Last but not least, wash your clothes correctly! I cannot stress this enough, a good pair of jeans can last you a good five years but only if you wash it properly and take care of it. Clothes come with wash instructions on the back or on the tag and it is recommended that we follow the given instructions. The best way to keep your clothes in tip-top condition is through hand washing but obviously it’s hard to do that in the 21st century due to how busy our schedules are. Some tips to take note of are to wash them less frequently (but not until the point where they stink), avoid drying clothes in the dryer as it strips the colour of your clothes faster and to avoid using hot water when cleaning.
While I understand that some people have no choice but to choose fast fashion options, it is so important that we are mindful when choosing the clothes we buy and not take it for granted. Quality over quantity is the most important tip, choose clothes and accessories that are timeless or compliment each other so they can be worn for many years to come no matter the occasion.

RANGER, Chapter 2
Beginning | Previous | Next
Foggy Blue-June, having turned 19 years of age the day after the instantaneous destruction of a major world power, went out to grab a drink at one of the local bars.
Unfortunately, the drinking age in Japan is 20 years, so Foggy left the bar of her own accord and instead sat on the curb outside after putting down a small towel so her blood-stained pants didn’t get dirty.
The emotions of recent events were beginning to creep into her mind, so she drew on the teachings of the on-site guru at the Cooperville Slaughterhouse for stability.
“Panic,” Dr. Strangler had said “is like a mad cow. It doesn’t have any real idea where it is or what it’s doing, and if you let it wreak its havoc it’s going to ruin the whole herd. What you’ve got to do is get that beefer into some restraints, stun it, drain it, chop it up, and sell it overseas where they don’t have as many regulations on diseased meat.”
Foggy, who had been sent to the Guru because she had accidentally dismembered one of her coworkers nodded emphatically, appreciating the advice even though it didn’t really apply to the situation.
Her head motions were enough to satisfy Dr. Strangler, and he let her go - quite proud of himself.
Now, on the curb, she created a bovine out of the near-extinction event and got to work on turning it into something that could be sold at a wet market somewhere far away.
I won’t bore you with the mental slaughter of this cow, which she had named Lily, but suffice to say it did a good enough job in keeping Foggy focused on what mattered - the meatpacking industry in rural Japan.
The event, which the media would come to call Starfall in the coming years, had not struck anywhere close to Japan, with most of the secondary damages being done in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe.
At the time, we didn’t know the scale of the damage to the United States. No communication was coming out, satellites experienced severe electronic interference even in orbit whenever they passed near the area, but we received some images of a vast cloud of gray-black dust over the United States.
This was terrible news for the Japanese meat packing scene. The Japanese people had largely moved away from eating mammals by this time, and relied almost entirely on the United States to purchase its supply of premium beef.
The demand for beef in the United States was responsible for one and a half millions jobs for the Japanese,  and had even resulted in the creation of the Ministry of Slaughter and Bovine Affairs within the Japanese government.
Foggy was currently interning at a Wagyu farm in the Kanagawa prefecture, and was fired due to immediate cutbacks and her inability to speak Japanese.
She would come to consider this the worst day of “her” life, and it was directly responsible for the horrors she would experience in the coming years.

Brand vs Product in the Customer Journey
What immediately struck me in the customer journey mapping article was how different my interpretation of the home theater journey was from that of the author. While I do agree that internet forums with complex jargon could be an indication of frustration and confusion during the customer journey, I also see it as an indication of passion. When purchasing products some customers do want a customer journey that is seamless, however others want an experience that delves into the minutia of each decision carefully weighing the pros and cons of each alternative brand they could choose from. This made me think about the difference between a customer journey rooted primarily in feeling (i.e. I want my shopping experience to make me feel important, adventurous, wealthy etc.) versus a customer journey rooted in product (i.e. I want my shopping experience to allow me to “look under the hood” of the product, discuss the differences with others in a forum etc.). Ultimately, it is the distinction between a customer ending their journey saying “I bought it because it was a Chanel bag, a Samsung TV etc.” versus “I bought it because it was the highest quality option, had the best specs etc.”
One area where I think this distinction is particularly interesting is the luxury goods industry. More and more I have begun seeing TikTok posts from small handbag makers who make and sell bags they claim are equal quality to bags like the Birkin etc. Another example are new clothing companies like Quince which claim to sell clothes that are the same quality as top designers for a fraction of the price through sourcing from the same factories. Is this just more branding or do these new business models, combined with the “quiet luxury” trend, pose an actual threat to luxury goods? Is there actually a large enough segment of luxury goods consumers that are truly “brand immune” and would decide based solely on quality? Either way- it will be interesting to see how luxury goods brands will tow this line between brand and product in the customer experience journey as consumers become more product oriented compared to the “labels craze” of recent years.

Simply put, some people are just built to be ripped off and have considerably unexplored and unmanaged standards.
Which is what companies want. They want blind, ignorant, and low self esteem. They want you blinded from their greed, ignorant of how they keep digging down, and want you to think so less of yourself that you feel that consumptive need to purchase something to make yourself feel better.
If you aren't aware of this, for the love of god, stop defending companies and products. You, and I cannot shove this into your dense skulls hard enough to understand: Only Benefit The Company, while Harming the Industry and Thus Everyone, Eeeeveeeerrrryyoooone.
Stop defending companies. Stop defending poor products. Stop treating your lesser self of an experience as the be all end all.
Some people genuinely like some shitty mobile games. They shouldn't be giving any opinion on the state of the industry, what is good and bad. They don't know quality, they're simply passerbys getting a few kicks in.
But the fact has always been this: Mindless Consumption only benefits companies while harming literally everyone. Everyone and everything.
When you defend a company, their intentionally poor products, you tell EVERY company, the ENTIRE INDUSTRY, the sink down to that level. Any amount of defense or success ensures it becomes standard.
You may be able to live with microtransactions and overtly cutting content out to sell later as DLC, but you shouldn't? You shouldn't. At all. Because these companies hire Addiction Experts to give you, me, children and elderly, mental and financial issues. For a video game.
Regardless. Stop making the industry worse, it ensures developers can't fight back against corporatization, demand better work enviroments and pay, job security and the ability to show off past works that aren't miserable experiences.
Anytime you defend shit like Dragon's Dogma 2, CP2077, NMS, Starfield, FO4, god the list goes on...all you ensure is Golem games become more standard.
Have. Any. Standards. Have. Any. Self-Respect. Have. A. Thought. Grow. Up.
gaming is no longer the silly thing nobody cares about, it's a FAT industry from bloated garbage every which way.
10 years ago, the current state of this industry would've felt Actually Dystopian. 20 years, and people would think gaming died. Fucking sad that people don't have enough self-respect to simply DEMAND BETTER FOR LESS.
Instead, we keep defending downgrades and saying "but duh dewvs woworkd weewy hawd" Yeah they did getting sexually assaulted, blacklisted and fired at pizza parties, They sure put alot of work in that you ensure they'll go through next development cycle :) thanks.
thank you. thank you for normalizing poor work conditions. Thank you Microsoft for buying the primarily a sex Rape cult that is Activision Blizzard. A company still making record profits because Pay Piggy Useful Idiots normalized it for the entire industry.
Congrats on making rape more common in the industry. Congrats on making assault common in the industry :) Congrats on lowering standards for products to the point alot of shit gets outsourced to practically slaves in another country :) Congrats on taking 60$ for a WHOLE ASS GAME and making it 200$ for Part of a game Congrats on that price increase btw, cool of you to piss on your fellow consumer like that :) Congrats on finding a way to make criticism sound like death threats btw, ya certainly make Demanding Better For Less so much harder when you treat the dime a dozen like a 9/11 :)
Congrats on being a Pay Piggy Useful Idiot for some company that will never know your name while they dodge taxes and make record setting, streak setting, record profits, while you can barely afford to fix that problem with your car that you KNOW is only getting worse, like your standards of living because guess what, ya do the same OUTSIDE of gaming too!
Be an Informed Consumer. God damn it's embarrassing seeing people suckle upon corporate toe- THEY AREN'T GONNA FUCK YOU BRO, MOVE ON.

When it comes to the WeChat private domain ecosystem
Tumblr media
I often hear friends say: Some people run paid communities and sell a course system for thousands of dollars. There are actually people who buy it. For a certain treasure, the same course can be purchased for dozens of dollars.
In the past, I was very confused about HE Tuber this, and I thought I had a high level of business knowledge. After understanding non-standard business, I suddenly became enlightened.
Paid communities and high-priced course systems are non-standard products
And their value lies in providing unique and customized experiences. Regardless of the content, users are willing to pay for goods and personalized services, and they also need a sense of value.
I once asked a post-95s generation:
If you think a certain big V’s content is average, why do you still pay for his products? He told me that I wanted to change my network and see what that circle was like.
There is an entrepreneur who is doing SCRM next to me. In the past two years, the track record has not been decent. He wanted to make some money to make a living, so he started training. Unexpectedly, in one year, the training revenue was more profitable than selling tools, and he could support himself. Not only did the team talk about it, but they also became consultants to the company.
You see, non-standard product business cannot be measured from the perspective of standard products at all. It is an extended service and can turn extended services into commodities. Therefore, non-standard products are a rare business incremental model.
Very early on, non-standard products were already popular.
For example, abroad, there is an e-commerce platform called etsy, which was established in 2005 and went public in 2015. I checked, and the current market value is about US$9.3 billion.
Judging from the time, it is almost one of the early e-commerce companies. Their market positioning is relatively niche, mainly selling some jewelry, art, and household items. Amazon has also launched its own platform Handmade before.
Non-standard products are different from mass-produced industrial products. They often have the characteristics of niche, scattered, and premium prices. Because the sales volume is not large, merchants determine production based on sales and will not distribute the goods on a large scale, so they are not accessible through conventional channels. It is difficult to form extensive marketing.
In this process, the role of the expert is very important. If it is not recommended by the expert, it will be difficult to find a product, because he is the link.
In China, many people used to sell non-standard products on various platforms. For example: for bags, searching for "LV women's bags" is a standard product, and searching for "women's bags" is a non-standard product; agricultural products and jade business are all considered non-standard products.
In the past, trust in selling non-standard products was relatively low, e-commerce platforms were not strictly supervised, and it was difficult for merchants to control the quality of their products. Many merchants took advantage of this to cut leeks.
The situation is different now, supply and demand are greater than supply. The relationship between people, goods and yards has been reorganized and arranged. Demand is put in front of you, and if you are not satisfied with the purchase, you can only get a refund without returning it.
Therefore, business thinking has changed. Where people are and what they want is more important than what you have. To put it bluntly, when the businessman’s sickle falls, users still have to look at whether the sword is fast or not. If you want to survive in a niche market, you must ensure the product. Quality passes.
Therefore, I believe that the private domain ecosystem is an incremental opportunity for non-standard products.
After the growth of the Internet bottomed out, merchants and users were divided into countless self-organizations, with serious circles one after another. The flow of information in the circles undoubtedly created a new consumption space. Non-standard emphasis on interest-driven, personality differences and visual aesthetics. It's more popular and pays attention to the new and unique niche.
Just imagine:
When a bunch of stock traders gather together, what sparks will come out of the collision? How will the fan base around a big V change with shared values? What kind of emotional value will a community formed around a brand inspire?
Of course, the private domain I am talking about is not limited to WeChat, but also includes Douyin, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu and other platforms. Although the social functions of some platforms are relatively weak, at the commercial level, they have formed a complete closed-loop system.
04
If brands and individuals want to find growth opportunities in the non-standard market, they cannot do without three points:
1. Conversion of value proposition
In my opinion, independent brands or owner brands for non-standard products have a sense of marginality in front of traditional commercial brands.
As a consumer, whether facing corporate customers (B2B) or individual customers (B2C), the evaluation of non-standard products comes from personal subjective feelings and values.
This means that everyone wants to get together with like-minded people and brands in a safe and recognized business environment. Equally, it is necessary to create a place with common values and atmosphere so that buyers can feel a sense of belonging.
For example, if I want to develop a tea and sell it in the community, I must first notice that some people not only pay attention to the quality of the tea itself, but also value the cultural significance of giving gifts. They want to be unique and tasteful. Something that can reflect a sense of value.
Or, tea here is like a way and a symbol of making friends. When offline activities are organized regularly, tea can promote connections among group members and make the community closer.
Perhaps, non-standard products are like a project. At the beginning, no one may be able to explain the values clearly, and they need to be controlled with specific people as boundaries. However, after slowly refining, they gradually become visible.
2. Aesthetic reshaping of design power
I have always believed that non-standard products are never a matter of "good or bad". Design is a logic that should be extended around "service". Service is not limited to the visual, but also stands out in the first impression.
Non-standard design requires a unique concept that satisfies the core design principles while also exercising fine control over other aspects. Only in this way can it be called true innovation.
Take the brand Rei Kawakubo as an example. Only some people may know it. On its short sleeves, there is nothing except a heart logo; however, it is very expensive and many people like it.
What's the difference between it and the short-sleeved shirts on the market that cost dozens of dollars each? Most people can't really see it, but for those who know how to appreciate it, they are basically attracted by the brand concept.
3. Break away from the principle of sustainable operation
Similarly, the sustainable operation of non-standard products is difficult to define, just like young people’s love for joint culture.
The relaxation and casualness of street culture represent a kind of de-identified values. In such an environment, people temporarily put aside their identity differences and enjoy equal interpersonal communication; although traditional brands may try to create this relaxed atmosphere, it is often difficult to achieve the same effect.
In the same way, whether non-standard products can be sustainably operated and whether they can form a recyclable value system is related to the group of people and the person in charge.
Sometimes, some niche brands never appear again after appearing that summer. It is this short existence that brings indelible memories to people.
Obviously, non-standard product business has concepts, values, self-persistence, restraint and rejection.
Among all dimensions of measurement, emotion is greater than business, and difference means not making money. However, it is impossible to discover good products and content simply by "how much money you make" as the final measurement.
In summary
Non-standard product business, growth depression.
When economies of scale no longer have the same competitive advantage as before, and you cannot win the market by producing large quantities of goods, you have to stop and think about what else you can do to create barriers on the technical side, or to create barriers for your users. customized product.

Spring for buyers?
Tumblr media
Buyers, it is a purchasing method specifically for a group of people who have demands for quality of life.
The platform is based on helping consumers make decisions. ‍
The definition of this word is that first, it is a high-quality product, and second, it is valuable to consumers.
For our amateur bloggers or brands, I think HE Tuber there are two very important points. First, we must pay attention to the uniqueness of the product; second, we must pay attention to the quality of the product and what it can bring to consumers. value brought.
And from a platform perspective, it will use 50 billion traffic to support the growth of buyers.
2. Is the era of orange software weeding coming?
Here I can also tell you about a customer case of beauty makeup and personal care. There is already a single SPU for beauty makeup and personal care. The advertising investment for a closed-loop transaction on the Xiaohongshu site can reach 70,000-100,000 a day, and its ROI is also It can maintain its value above 1.2.
Xiaohongshu is no longer a platform that can only cultivate brands.
From an infrastructure perspective, similar to Lingxi Backend, which can help merchants better understand product opportunities, five more data service providers have been added.
This year Xiaohongshu has also been advocating the concept of “grass planting value”.
Now the backend of Zongcao Value has been opened to some whitelist customers. Direct customers of the platform can see such a backend.
3. Which tracks have opportunities?
Home decoration: Some time ago, we were invited by the Xiaohongshu platform to do a co-construction, which is aimed at the joint construction of the home decoration industry. The platform alone pulls out this industry, which must mean that this industry will have many opportunities in the future. of.
Clothing: There are huge opportunities in the clothing category.
Let me share a case with you, which is a very small brand in clothing, which specializes in breast stickers, nipple pasties, and strapless underwear.
On Xiaohongshu, the user does not simply say, I am traveling today, so I want to buy a bra patch. It will do a lot of research on the category, material, and comfort.
Traditional e-commerce platforms are unable to provide consumers with so much satisfaction, including the fact that everyone's requirements for clothing are getting higher and higher.
So in the clothing category, combined with Xiaohongshu live broadcast, including buyers, think about it, is this the biggest opportunity for the category?
Especially some functional clothing is actually very popular on Xiaohongshu, and consumers can also get the value of the product through the content.
4. Community VS Live Broadcast
Xiaohongshu Live Broadcast is a result, not a goal.
I found that Xiaohongshu’s live broadcast is different in several ways. First of all, it has very high requirements for merchants. It does not mean that if you are a merchant today, you can do Xiaohongshu live broadcast.
Xiaohongshu’s live broadcast is a dual-column push. How to attract consumers to click into the live broadcast room through a cover has very high requirements for merchants. ‍
Xiaohongshu live broadcast also has high requirements for anchors. ‍
Xiaohongshu Live is a combination of Chinese language questions and math questions.
Why do you say this?
After Dong Jie became popular, many people actually imitated her, but none of them became popular. Why?
Because Dong Jie’s eloquent talk is because she brings the filter of Leng Qingqiu, because her cultural heritage, her life experience, and her own experience of using it attract consumers, not because she has memorized the lines. and script.
So if today’s anchor doesn’t have Dong Jie’s experience and lifestyle, you won’t be able to impress consumers if you try to imitate him.
If merchants come to Xiaohongshu live broadcast to sell goods, I will advise the merchant not to do Xiaohongshu live broadcast. If the anchor comes to enjoy the live broadcast to get rich overnight, I will also advise my anchor not to do Xiaohongshu live broadcast. .
So what are you going for?
Xiaohongshu live broadcast is actually a value live broadcast.
What's the meaning? For the merchants themselves, it is a brand live broadcast, not an ROI live broadcast.
In this field, I need to explain to consumers why my bottle of facial cream costs 399 today? Where can its ingredients be traced?
Why is my glacier water placed at this altitude and not at that altitude?
It is more of a sharing of value that is eloquently told. If you, the consumer, after listening to my sharing, you think my facial cream is worth 399 yuan, then place an order.
If you think it’s not worth it, it doesn’t matter. I will tell you my brand story, so it may be more of a brand live broadcast for merchants.
Want to know if there are any bonuses to live streaming?
Yes, the platform has great support.
But does it mean that it will sell a lot of goods right away?
If you have this mentality, I would actually advise you to be cautious.
But to be honest, if we take a note today, you can only talk about a limited amount of notes, but in Xiaohongshu’s live broadcast room, you can put 20, 30, or 100 notes in your live broadcast room. At the same time, tell your consumers through the leverage of live broadcast traffic.
The commercialization and live broadcast of Xiaohongshu is a non-standard product, even customized for your brand. So if you can understand it, it will be very difficult for your peers and competitors to surpass you. of.
Xiaohongshu CMO Zhiheng said that time is the best barrier in Xiaohongshu.
5. Opportunities for brands this year‍‍‍‍‍
First of all, merchants can start opening stores on Xiaohongshu.
The closed loop of e-commerce must be a big opportunity, and now we have successful cases.
Secondly, everyone can start laying out the live broadcast section.
Dabo store is operated on behalf of others. This is a trading place. There are opportunities here.
Furthermore, there are also opportunities in the field of commercial grass-growing, which is what we call content plus investment streaming.
You must clearly set your goals at every stage.
In this case, we can also make better use of grass planting and brand value.
Taken together, there are two major sectors.
First, our traffic field must have a more refined layout and set refined goals for each stage;
Second, for trading venues, we must seize the dividend period of the platform and the time window when there are no good cases in the market to do research and build barriers to our own brand.
6. Are there opportunities for white cards?
Many home decoration brands, such as lighting brands, are actually white brands.
We have a brand called Yueying Lighting, including Hilton Lighting. They don’t invest in other platforms, only Xiaohongshu. But their e-commerce sales in a single month can basically sell for more than 4 million, a 0 to 1 product.
Our relatively good ROI can be 1:4 or more.
7. How should health care and other categories be arranged in Xiaohongshu?
In the field of health and wellness, what is actually tested is content ability.
When we put information flow, we can't say jian Fei.
But in Xiaohongshu, you can make a picture of a girl with a very fat waist, or a girl with a very thin waist. Then there is a tower in Guangzhou called Xiaomanyao, right?
Then I can say that the target ahead is a small waist.
At this time, consumers can probably understand it when they see it.
For functional products, the most important test is the trader and the content execution partner. His professional ability, insight, and substitution ability are very important.
8. Misunderstandings of brands doing Xiaohongshu‍
In fact, it still depends on brand recognition. Many brands may come to Xiaohongshu, and it is easy to fall into the misunderstanding of assessment indicators: What kind of results must I get immediately?
In addition, some brands will think that the more influencers there are, the better. They will also insist that the more my products and content are, the better?
Then some people will say, eh, I think if my content is popular, it is good, instead of going to the review section of this product.
There are also some brands that look at a single indicator, such as my interaction cost and interaction rate.
In fact, these single indicators are also pitfalls that brands often step on.
Generally speaking, brands do not need to pay too much attention to the quantity of my content, nor should they simply focus on a single indicator.
You need to turn Xiaohongshu from content to delivery to transactions into a whole chessboard, and even your entire marketing must be connected into a big chessboard. Then let’s look at the value of Xiaohongshu in your entire marketing system.
Xiaohongshu is not like other platforms. It is actually an important link in the entire marketing chain.
If you don't understand the uplink and downlink, and you fix the middle link, your bridge will actually not be connected.
For all brands, the first step is to make decisions before taking action, which means you have to figure it out first and then do it.
The second sentence is, wholeheartedly. After you have figured it out, make a decision and then take action. Once you really take action, do it wholeheartedly and don't question yourself.

ENTRY FIFTY-NINE
It's always interesting when someone asks me what it's like working in the cannabis industry.
The first thing I mention is being at the age of 41 and never thinking it would be possible back in the day. If I could go back in time and tell my younger self that someday I'd be selling legal weed, I probably wouldn't have believed it! I'm still adjusting to the legality somewhat, but it has been so exciting not only interviewing for cannabis jobs but working them as well.
The interviews are awesome because instead of hiding it and hoping they never find out, you get to talk to the employer about your passion for cannabis and cannabis products. I've been in the cannabis industry for 3 years. I've done multiple interviews for cannabis jobs and they're always fun and exciting.
Working the job has been an amazing experience for the most part. Most of the clientele is pretty chill but every now and then you get a Karen or two. It is still customer service and retail after all. However, knowing the medicinal patient successfully treated their pain and stress, knowing the recreational patient had a safe and fun-filled evening makes it beyond worth it.
Then there's this little part...
😱 Being middle-aged and going back to retail (yes it's medical but a dispensary is still like a store in the way that you have similar responsibilities like cleaning and making sales for example). 😱
My first career path was to become a forensic psychologist. Long story short, I got screwed over by student loans and couldn't continue my education beyond my Masters of Science in Psychology, which merely provided a foundation for the ultimate goal I was attempting to work toward.
Once I knew I was officially done, that there were no more classes, no way to afford to keep going in college, no way to achieve what I already worked so hard for, I wanted a job I'd enjoy to ease the sting of dead dreams and crippling debt.
I wanted a job that would be good for the mind, heart, and soul even if it wasn't good for the wallet. I'm just so done with working my ass off at jobs that make me miserable on a daily basis.
Can I enjoy at least one thing in life? Can I at least start to live MY life for ME a little bit?
My only other occupational interest besides forensic psychology was cannabis. I have been using cannabis medicinally to help with my ADHD and C-PTSD. I also use it to help with redecoration, art projects, lots of other things aside from medical treatment. I thought, "I can still help other people, just in a different way now."
So that's why I am a middle-aged woman working in retail. My original plan didn't pan out and I wanted to do something I'd enjoy. We can't all be doctors, lawyers, famous actresses, or heirs to huge fortunes. Some of us are worker bees that need to find a job. And if I am going to be stuck working for the rest of my days, especially since my generation may not have anything to retire on, then I am going to need to be in a place that I don't dread for the sake of sanity.
And so, here we are! I'm a budtender. This is the career path I chose after the first one didn't work out. It's been quite an experience so far. Entering the industry, meeting all the characters in it, sampling different kinds of products, it's been fun! And currently, I am learning and sharpening my skills as a purchasing manager to my favorite dispensary in town of all places!
However, I have complaints. Two of them.
Complaint One:
We all want to hire the right people. We all want to bring on people that will be honest, reliable, and who will take the job seriously. Totally get that. BUT that won't be achieved through making the industry impossible to get into. It took me over a year to get my foot in the door! It is a little disappointing if the person doesn't have experience but how are they supposed to gain experience if no one gives them a chance to do so? Be willing to train! You might be turning away a great potential employee for a completely fixable reason!
Complaint Two:
I wish when legalization hit that the hippies had the money to invest. This is cannabis, weed, ganja, tree, Mary Jane! This should be a hippie industry with good vibes but it's not. Who did get to invest? Fucking car salesmen that made the cannabis industry horribly competitive and cut-throat.
My POV: I don't see other budtenders and dispensaries as competition. I see us all as cannabis enthusiasts trying to get the people some damn good weed. There's no place here for spitefulness and making moves against one another to cost people their jobs or companies.
On another note, talk to some women working in the cannabis industry about the ample amounts of sexual harassment they've dealt with and we can take this little convo into a whole new direction! There just shouldn't be any place in the cannabis industry for that type of stuff, but there is unfortunately.
That's pretty much the industry in its entirety and I hope it changes someday.
More thoughts later.

Tips Before Choosing The Right Shop For Your Vehicle Spare Parts
Is an original component of your car broken? It's nothing to worry about; in fact, nearly all car owners will have this problem at some point. Substituting low-quality or incorrect Car Parts for original components can have disastrous effects on efficiency and performance. Here are some key considerations that will direct you towards the best car spare part shop near me.
What Types of Auto Parts Do They Stock?
It's important to find a car parts retailer that stocks the specific components you need. If your car needs new rubber, call ahead to be sure the auto parts store has what you need in stock before making the trip.
Also, if your automobile is quite ancient or has many miles, you should find a parts store specialising in serving customers with such vehicles.
What Brands Do They Stock
Find out what brands and items car spare part shop near me carries before purchasing. If you know the answer to this question before visiting the store, you can inquire about the product's quality and durability.
When Did They First Open Their Doors?
Quality items and helpful service are what you can expect from a long-standing, well-known auto parts retailer. As a result, you should select a car parts retailer with some industry experience under their belt, preferably more than a few years. Newer car parts dealers may need more inventory and poorer quality products to expand their business.
What Guarantees or Warranties Do They Provide?
Find out what kind of warranty or guarantee is provided for each product and the auto components they stock. All accessories and components should come with a guarantee from a respected company.
If the car spare part shop near me provides at least a 30-day warranty, you can rest assured that your car will be in top shape for the duration of the warranty.
Do They Sell Aftermarket Auto Parts?
Find a shop that sells both OEM and aftermarket replacement components for your vehicle. While factory original car parts are the greatest quality, they're also the most expensive. Finding a reliable auto parts store that sells reasonably priced aftermarket components can be a good option financially.
Can I Buy New or Used Auto Parts There?
The variety of auto components a shop has is also important to think about when making your final decision. Most trustworthy auto parts businesses will stock new and secondhand auto components. However, some could specialise in one or the other.
New automobile parts are your best bet if you're looking for replacement components for a vehicle with low mileage. However, if you're looking to save money by purchasing used auto parts, it's best to shop at a store that carries various recycled and reconditioned components.
Can I Get Help Via the Internet?
Reputable car spare part shop near me often provides in-depth online resources for their customers. When researching a company, it's important to see if they have online services like online assistance or a parts lookup tool in addition to browsing their product catalogue and comparing costs. Pick a different auto parts store if they don't.
Conclusion
You should think about these factors while deciding on an auto parts retailer. To locate the best car spare part shop near me, look for a reliable company that sells top-notch products at reasonable costs.

Lab-Grown Diamonds: Shining a Light on the Ethical and Sustainable Gem of the Future
In recent years, lab-grown diamonds have emerged as a revolutionary alternative to their mined counterparts. Also known as synthetic diamonds or cultured diamonds, these gems are created in controlled laboratory environments with the same chemical composition, physical properties, and dazzling brilliance as natural diamonds. As consumers increasingly prioritize ethical and sustainable choices, lab-grown diamonds have gained traction as a more environmentally friendly and socially responsible option. In this article, we will delve into the world of lab-grown diamonds, exploring their creation process, benefits, potential drawbacks, and their role in shaping the future of the jewelry industry.
The concept of creating diamonds artificially dates back to the mid-20th century, but it wasn't until recent advancements in technology that lab-grown diamonds became commercially viable. Two main methods are utilized for growing diamonds in laboratories: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Both techniques mimic the natural processes that occur deep within the Earth, leading to the crystallization of carbon atoms into diamond structures.
WHY NOT NATURAL, MINNED DIAMONDS?
Well, natural diamonds may come with human right violations, Environmental, Social, and Governance concerns and on the other side lab made diamonds are no different than natural diamonds – both physically and chemically.
WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CONCERNS WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO BUY LAB DIAMONDS SYDNEY ?
As said lab made diamonds are no different than natural diamonds. However, since they are lab made, they are pretty cheap and almost affordable for all. Moreover, there should be clear business practices where you will be able to know whether lab made diamonds or natural diamond.
Lab-grown diamonds are conflict-free and have a traceable origin, giving consumers peace of mind that their purchase aligns with their ethical values. Moreover, the diamond-growing process requires less water and produces significantly lower carbon emissions compared to traditional mining, making it an environmentally sustainable choice.

Speaking from experience: the necessary factors to sell a business
By Dave Driscoll
For more than 12 years, I have been in the business of helping owners sell their business and move on to their life beyond business.™ As a business broker, I have been fortunate to have many owners place their trust in my experience and skills as a seasoned business owner and I have been privy to learn about many types of businesses inside and out. I’m proud to say that my company, Metro Business Advisors, has sold the majority of the companies we were engaged to represent.
As a long-time contributor to Small Business Monthly I have decided to take a break from writing monthly articles and will instead be contributing periodically, while still continuing to actively sell businesses.
My objective in writing articles has always been to educate owners about what it takes to develop a business for sale, including the emotional preparation that is so crucial. Along the way, I’ve also presented the buyer’s perspective and defined the steps necessary to increase business value so owners can sell their life’s work for maximum value to support their retirement or other ventures.
So, what sells a business?
The seller must balance their wants against what the buyer needs from the purchase.
But what does that really mean?
To successfully sell a business, the seller must realistically consider what the buyer needs to be successful if they acquire the business. The seller must put themself in the buyer’s shoes and remember what would be important if they were the buyer.
As a buyer, would you want to buy a business that…
Is owner-dependent?
Has incomplete financials that don’t tell the true story of the business?
Is part of an industry with an uncertain or unstable future?
Has a seller with unrealistic expectations regarding the sale price or terms?
I approach this from the negative to demonstrate that there is no mystery in the sale/purchase of a business. What is good for the seller is good for the buyer. If a seller is looking for a fool with a big bag of money, they will be very disappointed and their business will NOT sell.
Although I could write many articles (and have!) on each of these four points, let’s focus on a few ways to position a business for the highest probability of being sold.
Owner-dependence. If the business cannot operate without the owner’s daily attention, the company knowledge is “in the owner’s head,” and/or all the customer relationships are managed by the seller, the business really has no sustainable value to a buyer. In the unlikely event a buyer were to entertain buying an owner-dependent business, the seller would need to stay for an extended time to provide training and ensure the business successfully transitions to the new owner. The seller would also need to be comfortable having a portion of the sale proceeds withheld until the transition is complete to demonstrate the seller’s continued commitment to the business’ success.
What can you do?
Train and empower a competent team to be capable of running the business without you.
Establish a second-in-command and decentralize decision making.
Make yourself obsolete – aside from big picture vision and strategizing.
Complete, accurate financials. Buyers need to understand how the business operates, including the sales, cost of sales, gross operating profit, and operating expenses. If your business financials do not clearly and accurately show the buyer these details, how will they determine whether the cash flow will satisfy their goals that are motivating them to buy a business? Incoherent financials will NOT sell a business.
What can you do?
Document all discretionary spending that goes through the business.
Review your P&L and balance sheet monthly or quarterly to identify trends, opportunities, or problems.
Utilize an accounting service to help keep financials current while conforming to generally accepted accounting principles.
Business/industry stability and value. Would you buy into your industry in its current state? I spent 30 years as owner of an envelope manufacturing company. With the development of the ubiquitous internet, the use of envelopes plummeted, creating excess capacity, deteriorating margins, and causing widespread industry consolidation.
If your industry is outdated, shaky, or uncertain, look for a merger partner or consider liquidation. Hanging on to your company with the attitude that you can just work harder and overcome a dying industry will eventually cost you everything.
What can you do?
Either be an acquirer or an acquiree if your industry is faltering.
Always look for tangent or novel markets for your product or service.
Make the necessary investments to keep your company current in technology and innovation.
Seller expectations regarding the sale terms. Simply stated, selling the business will be very difficult if the asking price does not correlate to a reasonable industry “like sale” multiple of free cash flow or the seller is not flexible on price and terms (for example, demanding all cash). Maybe impossible. Recall the fictional “fool with a big bag of money” myth dispelled earlier. Additionally, a seller should not expect to be paid for “business potential” – at best, the buyer will only question why the seller didn’t take advantage of that potential themself.
What can you do?
Base the asking price for your business on a solid market valuation, conducted by a professional.
Focus your negotiations on setting the buyer up to succeed in running a profitable business.
Realize you will need to spend time training and transitioning relationships to the buyer.
So, there you have it – the benefit of my experience simplified into practical action items to best position you for eventually leaving your business. As I am not leaving my business yet, feel free to reach out if I can be of assistance, and don’t forget our library of educational blog posts at https://metrobusinessadvisors.com/blog/. Maximizing The Value Of Your Investment With High-Quality Truck Sales
The trucking industry is one that's constantly evolving and growing. In order to keep up with their competitors, businesses need to make sure that they're maximizing the value of their High Quality truck sales nz by investing in high-quality equipment. By doing so, you'll be able to ensure that your business remains competitive in this ever-evolving marketplace.
How to Maximize Your Value with Truck Sales
Maximizing your value with truck sales requires a few key components:
A good truck. You can't deliver on your promises if the truck you're selling doesn't work properly, and a buyer won't get as much use out of it if he or she doesn't have peace of mind when driving it.
A good contract. If there are problems with your contract, such as unclear language or conflicting clauses, then neither party will feel confident about entering into an agreement together.

Ensuring that you have the right equipment
When it comes to purchasing equipment, it's always important to make sure that you have the right equipment for your business. This can include trucks and trailers, but also other types of equipment such as forklifts or cranes.
It is also important that you purchase this equipment at a good price. When shopping around for truck sales, it's important to remember that not all companies offer high-quality products at competitive prices--and this can lead to problems down the line if something goes wrong with your purchase or maintenance costs become too high due to poor quality parts being used in manufacturing processes by other companies.
If you want peace of mind when buying trucks from a dealership like ours here at Truck Sales Inc., then we recommend taking advantage of our free consultation services where one of our experts will assess what type(s) of vehicle(s) would be best suited for doing business within each industry segment according with how often they operate their fleet during peak seasons (i e summer months). We'll provide suggestions based on experience gained over many years working with businesses just like yours!
Being able to deliver on your promises
If you're a business owner, one of the most important things you can do is deliver on your promises. People are going to buy from you because they trust that when they make an investment with your company, it will pay off in the long run. If you promise someone a product or service and then don't follow through with it, this can have disastrous effects on both customer loyalty and company morale.
The key here is making sure everyone involved understands what exactly is expected from them before any work begins--and sticking to those expectations as closely as possible throughout all stages of production or delivery processes.
This includes keeping track of deadlines so that no one gets left behind on their end-to-end tasks (which can lead directly back into lost revenue). It also means notifying clients when something may cause delays; otherwise they may think nothing has changed since last week's conversation even though there were problems brewing behind closed doors all along!
Conclusion
When you're ready to make a big investment like truck sales nz, it's important to think about what value you can get out of it. If you want a truck that will last for years, then buying from one is probably your best bet.

Tips For Finding The Perfect Manufacturing Business For Sale
The manufacturing industry is booming and the demand for manufacturing businesses is higher than ever. If you're looking to buy a Manufacturing Business For Sale, there are some things that you should keep in mind before making a purchase. Do your research, talk with potential sellers, and take time to think about all of your options.
In this article, we will cover 5 tips on how to find the perfect manufacturing business for sale:
Look into the company's history
When you're looking through listings, it's important to consider the history of your potential purchase. You should always look at how long a business has been in operation and how many years its owners have been running it.
If you're buying a Manufacturing Business For Sale, this will give you an idea of whether or not the business has been successful over time. You should also look into what key accomplishments they've had and what their reputation is among other companies in their industry.
Know your niche
Before you begin your search, it's important to know your niche. In other words, what makes your manufacturing business unique?
There are many successful niches out there--from pet toys to car parts to baby products--and it's up to you as the buyer and seller of an existing business to determine which one is right for you both.
If this isn't something that comes naturally (or if there aren't any obvious niches in your industry), don't worry!
A good way to get started is by asking yourself questions like: What do I love about my current job? Why do people come back time after time? What makes me different from other manufacturers in my area?
Evaluate the financials
Financials are an important part of the decision-making process. It's important to look at the company's income statement and balance sheet to see how profitable it is, as well as its cash flow statement to see if it has enough money coming in and going out.
You can get all this information through a public records search or by speaking with someone at a local bank who knows what they're doing.
Seek professional advice
The first step in the process of finding a business for sale is to get professional advice. You should hire an accountant, who will be able to tell you if your business has potential for growth or not. You should also speak with other business owners in your area and ask them about their experiences selling their companies.
Conclusion
As you can see, there are many factors to consider when looking for a Manufacturing Business For Sale to buy. It's important that you research the company's history and niche market carefully before making an investment decision.
You should also talk with a professional who understands these issues so they can give you advice about whether or not this opportunity is right for your needs.
