part of the tragedy of the clones is the accelerated aging. its inseparable from their creation and their duty. it doesnt just artificially shorten their lives, it concentrates the feelings they have about themselves and their ability to leave/stay and to fight or not fight, because they have half as much time to do anything. if their bodies break down at an alarming speed, theyd probably hate to have to do it outside of what's familiar to them, even if what's familiar is an active violation of their rights. its an artificial life constraint as well as an artificial choice constraint. if you had all the time in the world, you'd probably worry less about why you were put into the galaxy, what your "purpose" was. existentialism is less daunting when you can exist perpetually. not so for clones.

#not gonna go into all my thoughts right now because it’s A LOT but #the ending was pretty good overall like I got my little complaints here and there but overall I was pretty satisfied #the choice of final boss (for kiryu) was narratively pretty half assed but. I’ll let it slide because that fight was fun #i feel like shinada deserved more closure in the baseball realm of things #and I feel like majima should’ve had at least ONE conversation with katsuya at the end #I would’ve liked to see kiryu reunite with him as well but. you know #majima and saejima’s conclusion was also pretty open ended and not clear but yeah. idk just a lot of threads #that don’t feel like theyre tied yet #but despite how it sounds the story of 5 i overall liked quite a bit #it’s interesting that my friend really doesn’t like that there isn’t a singular Big Bad Villain that’s known from the start more or less #like in most games but I kinda feel the exact opposite in that I like the mystery and finding out who’s pulling the strings and all that #a lot of the characters in this game in general are very strong despite some being totally newly introduced #like I liked katsuya and watase and madarame and I’m forgetting his name but shinada’s loan shark #I liked aizawa alot up until the end where they pulled what they pulled and now I’m conflicted cause that was. weird. but yeah #OH and baba of course #idk alot of supporting characters felt really 3 dimensional to me #shinada’s great and very lovable and I’m very sad he doesn’t come back in 6 or anything m #I liked haruka’s ending generally too because she basically did exactly what I was hoping for #which is realizing her own dream and all that and not just doing the whole idol thing just to live out mirei’s ideal life #haruka finally getting to make her OWN choice that kiryu or mirei or anyone can’t interfere with #that was good that was very good #rambling #y5

a sumi haircut variation ive been testing out. i wanna say its a bit post-canon, not too far off, maybe a year or so. hasnt quite figured out what to do with herself yet, but shes getting there. only a little ways away from graduation.

also he just sometimes focuses on the wall behind the tv and drowns out the voices

he just sits through them and bears them, basically

now, why? why in the world would he do this when he doesn't even enjoy it?

when you leap 30ft out of your seat into the air, he laughs at you

he'll even add onto your fear by like grazing your opposite shoulder when you aren't looking and pretending he didn't do it

but honestly, he partially enjoys it when you spring onto him at the jump scares, no matter how much he denies it

as we all know, the boys a lil shy about asking for affection

with horror movies, he gets your affection without even asking for it! yay!

but once the movies over, if you're really shaken up, he'll use his giant beanpole arms and spoon you until you fall asleep

but then he'll be an ass about it the following week

like most things in life, bokuto goes between two extremes, and never crosses into the middle

he's either having super insane cut shots that go BOOM

now, if he thinks the movie's not scary at all, he's pretty good to watch with if you're super scared

Tobin / Rayyan are an especially tense pair if you end up serious about the two of them, because tbe stakes are similar (tennis team etc.) and Tobin is less likely to stand down ("if you're gonna risk things going to shit, you can risk it with me") but on the other hand Rayyan and Tobin actually know each other and respect/like each other, so there's that. Rayyan wouldnt back down from anyone, but with Tobin... they might be just a tad gentler /more conflicted about it.

Tobin or Rayyan competing with anyone else... Tobin might think maybe MC would be better off with someone who gives them a life outside of tennis. Rayyan would only fight harder, asking if they'd truly get it.

As for Sam ... I think they'd initially back off because these other ROs are THERE with MC- G i suspect theyre most comfortable with. In their mind maybe G could just be a fling. And at the end of the day, maybe even at the end of college, theyre hoping theyll find their way back to MC somehow.

As for G...
