#icarus speaks #dangantag #like i’m always thinking about him in general #but chapter four SPECIFICALLY #like GOD……. #he knows if he doesn’t do something he’ll die #he knows if he doesn’t do something everyone will die #because shuichi is smart. but miu was smarter. there was no way to have uncovered ANY of that had she succeeded #and he knows he can’t stop her. she wants out. she won’t listen to him #if she’s not able to kill him. she’ll find someone else. she’ll find another scenario #and he can’t TELL most of them. because someone has to stop her #but half the cast wants him dead. maki would’ve taken him out herself #the only other person that would’ve both believed and helped him would likely be shuichi #but it can’t be shuichi. because this ends with two people dead. and if shuichi dies then they’re all fucked #he could make the same leaps as shuichi theoretically. solve the same cases #but no one would listen. not like they listen to shuichi #and GOD. speaking of which #the way he reacts to shuichi’s lie. it haunts me so much #and it makes sense! he’s already so angry. so lost. there’s so much going on and going wrong #shuichi lies to protect people and discover the truth and he’s beloved #kokichi does the same and he’s a villain #and YEAH obviously that’s not the full story. there are other factors. #but like. the THEMES. the PAIN. the spiral it leads kokichi down #doubling down on his lies and charade and cements his plan to sacrifice himself #slash become the ‘mastermind’ #i hate lying purple assholes why do they do this to my brain

the sword and shield part of the prophecy is soooo vague that i’ll rotate every possible theory inside my silly little head and then go “or it could be smth else”. absolute net zero conclusions reached but i had fun.

#like. i think hak being the sword is one of if not the most popular theories and i can see it bc well. look at the guy #but it’s the specifics of the wording that give me pause #‘WHEN the four dragons are gathered the sword and shield which will protect the king SHALL AWAKEN’ #when hak’s been there from the beginning + there’s also ik-su’s warning that hak will die if yona doesn’t find the dragons #which. there’s definitely ways to interpret him still being the sword (or shield!! that’d also be a neat twist) even with that in mind #but ngl i’m also a sucker for the idea that he’s just. there bc he loves yona. no connection to the prophecy whatsoever. #like both options make sense to me and i can see either one happening #anyway my personal favorite theory rn is that riri is the either the sword or the shield #not saying it’s the most probable option. just the most fun to meeee <3 #and ngl it only occurred to me during the latest chapter bc she’s clearly gonna play some kind of role #so it’s not like i have like a mountain of compelling evidence but i do have more than just. a feeling #like she has the sociopolitical standing and the ability (or at least pluckiness) to fill either role right? #and she was introduced and grew as a character only after all four dragons were gathered #which fits with some of the only things we know about the sword and the shield #do u see what i’m getting at?? am i making any sense at all?? #it could also ofc be a literal sword and shield which. tbh i think is the most likely but also less fun to speculate about #anyway i also think tae-jun will have a bigger role to play. either as a part of the prophecy or not #but also how might zeno’s recent actions impact the prophecy……. much to think about as always #but that’s enough theorizing for one day! time to grab my iced coffee from the fridge and work on my silly little fic <3 #akayona

Yeah, I can definitely tell you more about it!

I use the tag wanda america fic for The Finding Family Omnibus, the original and primary fic of which is Finding Family. (The omnibus includes the interquel, related one-shot, sequel, and bonus content. Also these links go to the AO3 pages because, while all of this has been posted here on tumblr, the original copy-paste for FF didn't copy over the strike-through text, so it's...not entirely correct.)

Finding Family is a post-DSMOM found family fix-it fic. A, ah, very long one.

The primary relationship is a familial one between Wanda Maximoff and America Chavez, so they're the primary characters.

But, ah, it takes five parts and over 350k words, so there's. more to it. than that.

The family also includes Wong, Kate Bishop (and Clint's family, though to a lesser extent), two variants of Wanda from other universes (Ash, from Earth-838, and Wendy, from a universe referred to as Neverland), Ash's Billy and Tommy, Agatha Harkness, and Agnes Bohner Fletcher, among others.

Although there are ships, they aren't the primary focus of the story, which is really more about America's coming of age/into better control of her powers and Wanda's depression and journey of self.

Because it's familial, there are a lot of relationships that are important - but some of them are more important early on (Wanda and Wong, America and Wong), some of them are more important later (relationships with Ash, relationships with Wendy, relationships with Agatha and Agnes).

But, at its heart, it's about the search for family and finding it in the people you're with.

I don't know how much more specific you want me to be because I can get significantly more specific. (But know that I also won't specify ships because while there are definitely ships in the later parts, they're complicated and won't make much sense out of the context of the omnibus itself. Sorry!)
