Hi Anon, thank you for clarifying what you meant with your ask💕
I’ve been alternating between a few tags in the past but I can start using just “personal” with the other posts.
I understand some people are here just for the doodles and aren’t really interested in hearing me talk about my life, just in the same way some people are only really interested in my portrait works, and that’s perfectly fine with me.

So just, as a person who’s been reading since elementary I just I have to say it: watching The Sandman made me so happy. My 7 year old self stood up in the initial opening narration and started singing cause hey that’s what Snape sounded like when my small brain first had to make him real and it seemed too bizarre to recognize it in real life(I’d never seen or heard of Tom Sturridge before not even trailers, so it was a wild brain connection). But most importantly the part of me that fell out of love with reading cause of depression and got back into it by reading comics and Norse mythology in high school, sort of rocked back cause that palace was familiar. I had forgotten, cause I locked away a lot of memory, I’m already forgetting high school two years out in college aside from the books and music, but in that depression I had forgotten that I had seen that palace. So I sat there and heard those words and said “oh you’re the reason”, I cried at the wizards duel between Lucifer and Dream cause I recalled that too, that part of the comic influences my own writing. This is a long way of saying I loved the show but also that Mr. Gaiman, you’re work probably saved me or at least the very content and happy part of me that I’ve held so close since childhood.

Robot characters who are given names like SL-308-62 but instead of their human friend going Well let's call you Sally for short, they instead ask the other if they Like their current name.
"Do you like your serial number?" they ask. "Yes, quite. It reminds me of who I am" the robot replies. "I have heard others like me go by different names after some time, and maybe one day I'll choose one for myself, too. But right now that is my full name, yes" they continue.
Because it's not your decision to make whether or not the robot will receive a new name. It should be theirs only. What's the difference? One is more complex and the other is simplified. They were both given by strangers instead of themselves.
"62 will do," they conclude. "It's my model number - there will be no other 62 after me."
