“It’s not that bad, Brucie,” Tony’s cool, leveled voice makes Bruce’s hair stand on end. The streets of Gotham were quiet, save for the man struggling in front of him on the trash-filled alley ground. Tony wasn’t there, of course, but it feels like lately he always was. Like he was just over Bruce’s shoulder, watching, judging. It was driving him crazy. “They deserve it.”

Bruce shakes his head, trying to get the conversation the two men had earlier out of his head. It was enough to make him nauseous, the sick smile on Tony’s face as he tried to persuade Bruce to drop the ‘no killing’ rule. The man in front of Bruce gargles something, spitting out a glob of blood at his feet. Bruce stares at the crimson liquid, watching it turn brown and muddy, a slow stream of it drifting towards him.

“...And your parents were dirty rich bastards,” Bruce’s head snaps towards the man below him, some random drug peddler he had discovered during his surveillance that had a knack for weapons trading. He knew who he was. “Yeah, down here we all,” The man coughs up more blood, thicker this time, the liquid covering his chin. “We all know who you are, Bruce Wayne. Rich boy dressing up as a hero to get revenge for his dear old parents.”

“Shut up,” It’s the first time Bruce has spoken to the man and all it does is get a laugh. A laugh. “Don’t talk about them.”

“So I’m right? You’re Bruce Wayne?” Bruce watches as the son of a bitch laughs despite the broken rib Bruce had given him earlier. Anger was coursing through his veins, flashes of his parents running through his head. His mom and dad at dinner, smiling at each other. Them holding his hand as they walked through Gotham. The flash of light and then his mother dropping to the floor, her pearls clattering. His fathers screams being cut off with a bang.

And then, behind it all, was Tony again. “They deserve to be killed, Brucie.” Bruce shakes his head again, squeezing his eyes shut. His heart is thumping in his fucking chest, he needs to leave, he needs to leave, he needs to leave. “Look at them when they’re on the ground below you, at your mercy, and still choosing to be evil. We have to rid the world of them, don’t you think? And besides; their fear smells delicious.”

“...Everyone will know, I’ll tell everyone.” Bruce’s eyes open and he stares down at the man in front of him. He was hurt. All Bruce had to do was walk away. No one would believe him, it was his word against some random drug dealers, but then he thinks about going home to Tony, seeing that twitch of his lips, the condescending tone he used when he asked, “Have any fun?” and without thinking Bruce steps onto his wrist.

The crack is audible just over his scream. Bruce presses down harder, digging his foot into the man's arm only pulling away when he hears yet another snap. “You won’t.” Bruce says and for the first time he can smell the fear off of the man in front of him. Tony was right, he thinks as he pulls out the man's knife he had stolen from him, a switchblade, out from his belt, looking at the way the metal glimmered in the lamplight. Fear did smell good.

"You were gone long." He stands still, and forces his breath to remain a steady stream, even as she drags her fingers gently under the hem of his shirt. As she scraps her nails along his scar, pinches his skin a little too harshly.

"Yeah, the paperwork was tedious."

Natasha hums and sighs, her breath smelling strongly of wine and cigarettes. She kisses the nape of his neck, digs her fingers into his skin. Not enough to hurt, but enough to warn him.

"You're a better liar than this, Tony."

bruce has a whole closet full of his own clothes at the beach house, but he still decides to leave out one of tony’s shirts for jen when she first wakes up in mexico. y’all im crying... tony made bruce feel safe and protected by keeping him company and making sure he was taken care of and would always have a place to go, and so bruce leaves out one of his shirts in the hopes of giving jen the same kind of safety and comfort

while rewatching Avengers

When Tony first meets Bruce. He kinda fanboys but I feel like he’s the only one who’s not terrified of Hulk. He jokes about Bruce having such great anger management. Almost wanting to trigger the transformation. While everyone’s on edge when things were getting heated. Tells Bruce that it’s something he has to live with. He has to learn how to control it. While referencing his chest arc reactor thing. He has hope for him. Rooting for him even. One of the reasons why I ship them :’D

Can I just talk about TonyBruce for a minute?

As much as I *personally* love the madness of st/0n/y I feel that the Science Bros(boyfriends) Isn’t always given the respect it deserves.

People tend to really undermine how beautiful and important that relationship is to both characters. Their genuine bond for science is so refreshing to see because they just get each other and they can nerdy talk all day about stuff no one would get.

The fact that Tony was the first person to treat Bruce like a person, he invited him to hang out more and freestyle create, promising a stress free environment. (Too bad their first creation/baby was a psychopath Tony saying Ultron has anger issues 😆 Tony made Bruce smile/laugh and was beginning to get him to open up/he was never afraid of Hulk and more fascinated him.

My heart just swells when they show Tony’s reaction to hearing that Bruce tried to kill himself.

🥹then Tony coded Bruce is the strongest avenger!!!

HULK CAUGHT TONY AT END OF AVENGERS! It took time for him to trust Thor and others but he already considered Tony a friend. 🫠 (when he threw him was such a Hulk thing 😆 but he made sure he was ok/didn’t fall to his death) HE GROWLED and Tony woke up!!

I love seeing Tony/Bruce ride off together all happy is so iconic and it added years to my life. Just science bros going off to do science bro things!

And while I may be one the few people that didn’t hate the BruceNat arc,Tony would and should have been the one to calm him down.

I think the “therapy” scene at the end of Iron Man 3 was so cute/funny but at the same time I don’t think Bruce would have fell asleep. I get they were going for a laugh but as much as Bruce loves and respects Tony I think he WOULD HAVE LISTENED and would be happy to hear Tony open up. The fact that Tony even felt comfortable opening up says a lot. And Bruce didn’t want to hurt Tony’s feelings by thinking he didn’t have time just not the proper training. And even though Bruce is tired/he still stays and listens to Tony tell his story all over again.

The “Hey Tony” “Bruce?” “Are you ok” and the way Bruce just falls into the hug with no dialogue. And the way Tony automatically knew something was wrong 🥺! (And him acknowledging Pepper was nice too because what a gent)

I love that Bruce knows that Tony wears his pants really tight!

I hate that so many friend-zone them/there was some immaculate chemistry that gets downplayed when the story wants to focus on other things.
