Broken Lizard and Searchlight Pictures’ Quasi follows the titular Quasi, working as a torturer in medieval France. BUT, it’s Pope Week and Quasi wins top prize -a one-on-one confession with the Pope. Yay! Quasi is also looking for love and just may have found it, with a royal person, no less. Then again, things might not be so great as the hunchback finds himself caught between a murderous feud between the Pope and the King of France when each orders Quasi to kill the other.

Quasi stars Steve Lemme as Quasi alongside Kevin Heffernan, Paul Soter, Adrianne Palicki, Jay Chandrasekhar, and Erik Stolhanske. Heffernan serves as director and wrote the script with Lemme, Chandrasekhar, Soter, and Stolhanske. 

Quasi hits Hulu on April 20, 2023.

hey, your art style's really cool, especially the way you draw slugcats and other rain world creatures. would you happen to have a tutorial anywhere? if not, would you ever consider making one?

Closest Ive really done to a tutorial is really just this short thing about slugcat fat distribution, and its not really a tutorial. I don't really know how good I'd be at making one considering my processes aren't very defined and pretty simple

Slugcat for me basically just starts with a circle for the head and I go from there. Theyre kinda just a little tube creature with fat legs. Although when I draw them 'active' i generally have them on their toes, and when at rest their foot is flat. I think keeping the tail big is also an important part of keeping the slugcat shape, you dont want it too thin.

As for the Lizards, Its a mix of the fact I didnt think the feathered look would be good in my solid shape style and the fact that their head is a hardened, protected spot. So I make their head more a distinct piece and go for more of a horned dragonic look than frilly. But honestly i just do whatever i feel like with them in the moment so theyre kinda all over the place

What is your favorite change that you’ve made in Better Bones?

It's hard to pick because everything feeds into everything else. How can I talk about how much I love changing ShadowClan, without getting into the food changes, without talking about how the environment influences that?

In the broadest sense, I really am happy to tell the story I always wanted WC to be. A tale of impacts across generations, politics and the passion and fury of its actors, and how culture changes through the years.

I guess on a smaller scale, I'm personally satisfied to have killed and buried the way that Brokenstar was pure evil and the result of an Evil Woman raising him badly. I had never seen that in another AU and I was thirsty. I see more people doing both now and literally what can i say except You're Welcome
