🦊🔭 Dr.Fox:

• To gain knowledge about the moisture condensed from the atmosphere that falls in individual drops, also known as rain, Dr. Fox will conduct fun science experiments.

• She will create and build a small rain gauge robot to measure how much rain she will receive.

• The doctor will test the pH level of rainwater with a pH meter and compare it to liquids from different sources, such as tap water, juice, lake water, and pool water.

• This science fox will investigate how clouds form, where they come from, and what causes rain through a water cycle experiment.

• She will propose that her friends and her go on a scientific nature hunt!

• She knows that after it stops raining, rainbows sometimes appear in the sky. She will want to do her research on why prisms produce rainbows and create an invention that makes prism rainbows. 🌈

🦅🕶️ Hawkodile:

• Rainy days don't bother him because they give him the chance to improve his combat training skills and witty one-liners in his treehouse.

• He intends to put together an indoor obstacle course using the ideas from his treehouse.

• With a flashlight, the green hawk-crocodile hybrid dude and his friends will create shadow shapes on the walls with their hands.

• He will imagine kissing Dr. Fox in the rain since it's considered romantic.

• Plays balloon ping-pong with Puppycorn!🏓🎈

• Since he's into all things EXTREME, he'll want for him and his friends to go camping in the great indoors. They have a great time! ⛺

Richard:

• He plans on staying dry on this rainy afternoon, so he's most definitely not going outside today. Nope, no way. Not happening.

• It can be very relaxing to listen to nature's music during a rainstorm, so he spends most of his time listening to the rain. He enjoys the soothing sounds.

• He might try knitting as there's nothing more cozy on a rainy day than a wooly sweater or scarf.

• The calming sound of raindrops causes him to take a nap.

• He warms up on the couch with some blankets while watching a documentary on the history of paperclips. 📎

• Makes a trip to the castle library to read some of his favorite old books.

Master Frown:

• When the low-level doom lord notices rain falling from his window, he gets excited! Seasonal showers tend to make people feel miserable, so he wants to see the sad looks of all the citizens for himself!

• He rushes downstairs and out the door past his boyfriend roommate Brock, who is playing video games on the couch.

• Outside, he sees that people are actually happy in the rain?! TIME TO MAKE THEM MISERABLE!

• After failing to cause distress, he heads back to his apartment where Brock recommends that they watch a classic black and white movie that is so bad it's good. He thought it would be funny to mock the scenes.

• Having nothing better to do, Frown sighs and agrees to watch this movie. He was gonna hate it. He just knew it.

• Master Frown is revealed to actually be enjoying the film (to his dismay), even consuming ice cream with Brock as comfort food to prevent the two from crying. Frown relates so much to the movie itself and the characters.

Brock:

"The decision to ruin Howard's career was the moment Kim went too far"

Kim "went too far" in Season 3 when she decided to help discredit Chuck on the stand. She drove a man to suicide, cried a few crocodile tears about it, then doubled down and went back to scamming.

This is what I mean when I say I don't like comparing Howard to Brock Cantillo; Walt seriously did cross a whole new threshold when he put a child in danger to get what he wanted. By comparison, destroying Howard was basically a lateral move, almost as if strong-arming HHM into submission was always the plan. It wasn't substantially "new" or "worse" than the crap Kim had already pulled, so having her suddenly grow a conscience just because this time the unintended fatality happened right in front of her, just makes it feel like Kim can't handle seeing blood.

You people talk to me like I didn't "understand" the show, just because I can see past Season 6's bullshit framing of its own narrative.

I have this minor headcanon that the platonic yandere venture family + Brock would be super supportive of a trans boy reader. I could totally see rusty making special inventions to help the reader take his testosterone shots more safely, Hank and Dean being excited to teach their brother all about being a guy, and Brock beating the shit out of transphobes (and probably killing them lmao) it's such a cheesy headcanon but as a trans boy it makes me happy

All the Ventures and Brock band together to demolish anyone who claims that you're "trying to be someone you're not."

Hank and Dean think of themselves as full-time mentors now and take you on every family adventure, but this soon leads to them competing for the title of the favourite brother.

Rusty shakes his head at their teachings and fishes for compliments on his inventions, attempting to whisk you away to the lab to watch him work.

Brock is willing and able to teach you how to wrestle a crocodile and wield a Bowie knife like a professional. "To keep the pests off you," he says.

The text had contained only one word and a set of coordinates before his phone died but Clint hoped it would be enough for Brock to know what a dire situation he must be in for him to have sent it in the first place. His mission had gone horribly wrong. He knew it was his fault, not paying attention to his surroundings when he had his target in his sights. Sharp teeth bit down into his calf, his grip on the string of the bow loosened and the arrow released as his leg was ripped out from beneath him and he was dragged backwards into the jungle brush, down a small embankment into a river.

Even after Clint still managed to catch up and put an arrow through his target, limping his way back to the closest town with a motel. The Congo wasn't the safest of countries to visit and with a particular "general" now removed from his position of power by an arrow, the civil unrest was high. He'd have to wait a few days for the public to calm down before trying to leave the country, not wanting to risk getting caught at the airport. But with how quickly the fever set in, it quickly became apparent he wasn't going to get out on his own. A phone call to Coulson proved to be fruitless, finding himself shocked and hurt to hear he was on his own.

Clint gave it a day before he broke and texted Brock; help and the coordinates. Or at least, he thought it had been a day. He wasn't sure exactly. Sleeping off the fever wasn't helping and with his phone dead, it was easy to lose track of time.

Waiting was no longer an option. His fever was far too high despite the Tylenol he had taken, though there had only been a few travel packets at the bottom of his bag and he went through them quickly. Blonde hair was soaked in sweat and matted down from his forehead, his skin pale and clammy even with the chills that racked his body. His calf was swollen, red, and worryingly hot to the touch, little red lines radiating out from the largest of the wounds while pus built up. Then there was the pain. There was something buried inside that wound in particular, he was sure of it. The few other small holes left behind by the crocodile's teeth were steadily becoming infected as well but nothing compared the largest wound.

In his fever induced desperation, Clint decided it would best to remove whatever was in the wound as quickly as possible. There was no knowing if Brock would reach him in time. He didn't even know if the strike commander received the text. There was always the chance the strike team had been sent away on assignment. Or that Brock came to his senses and didn't think Clint was worth the trouble.

A bent wire clothes hanger, needle nose pliers, a lighter, two bottles of cheap bourbon, a leather belt,as many clean towels he get could from the front desk of the motel, and bowl of questionable water were his tools. How hard could it be?

The rope was rinsed before being tied off right below the knee. A few mouthfuls of bourbon and Clint moved to clean the pliers and wire hanger with the liquor in an attempt to sterilize them. Another mouthful...and then one more for good measure. The belt was placed between his teeth so he could push through the pain and keep working. He took a deep shaky breath before pouring some of liquor over the wound, doing his best to stifle the scream at the intense pain.

Blood and pus were splattered over the white towels the archer had spread out over the bed beneath him, wiping the sweat off of his brow with the sleeve of his shirt. His hands weren't steady, the fever causing them to be weak and tremble. But he had no other choice, situating himself carefully on the bed so he would have the most light and easiest access to the wound on the back of his calf. Teeth bite down hard into the piece of leather as he plunged the pliers into the wound.

Influencer Hannah Hook (Au);

The internet, tv, and wifi quality are all largely improved by Carlos’ invention (that also unintentionally punched a hole in the barrier briefly but who cares about that) and because of that many isle kids become influencers.

Including little eleven year old Hannah Hook who thinks others will find her life as entertaining as she does.

So starts making Royal Media accounts.

She becomes hannahhook7744 on Royallr, InstaRoyal, ZapChat, and just Hannah Hook on GraceBook.

She creates a Geniemail and makes fanfiction of all her favorite shows on Ro3 under the name ‘Slimeypirate’ after getting a nasty comment with the insult on one of her RoyalTube videos (in which she posts vidoes under the account names ‘Hannah Hook’ and ‘The Stormbringer Crew’).

And She just has fun with it because Hannah has nothing better to do.

And neither do her crew and family.

Hannah does anything and everything she can think of to keep her and others entertained.

She pranks the Coachmen, Judge Frollo, Mother Gothel, Cruella de Vil, Gaston, and even Maleficent.

She plays her favorite game ‘Piss off the Villain’ on camera and narrowly avoids getting shot on camera.

She plays all kinds of different games, does reactions, makes roasts, makes theories, and reads all her favorite books. Shows people how to go on an adventure and how to take care of little kids and even attempts cooking (as her friends beg her not to in the background).

Hannah even plays with fire and does circus tricks (which Hermie Bing joins her for).

Oh and she’s gotten into fights with her siblings on camera.

There’s even a live stream on her channel where she’s blasting one of the bad apples songs as she plays ‘Carriage Crush’ with a green toddler she calls ‘Harley’ in her lap and as her dad and uncle Jasper have a three hour long (violent) fight in the background until her grandmother breaks it up.

And another one where she and Luke play ‘Storm the Castle’ (with two toddlers in their laps) as Hans Westergaard, The Stabbington Brothers, Lady Caine, Stalyan, Brock Thunderstrike, Anastasia Tremaine, and Drizella Tremaine all argue (loudly) with Lady Tremaine in the other room.

While the other Tremaine and Stabbington kids (minus the youngest four Tremaines who are in the room with them) fight upstairs.

And another (24 hour) live stream where Hades is asleep in the background the entire time.

Even as Treycor and Alex throw knives at each other and Luke.

All posted on school nights/days.

And they have several videos where they're in the various restaurants of the isle. Eating food that wouldn't be up to code in Auradon.

Making food that wouldn't be up to code that they also eat.

And they even get tattoos once at 12 years old. After officiating a wedding.

Auradon is more than a little concerned.

And the isle kids are all just confused as they keep doing what they're doing.

Doing death defying stunts and games.

Summoning things (and screaming in fright when Hades walks into the room to ask them to stop).

Swimming and wrestling with crocodiles, Tigers, and sharks.

Giving the Auradon adults heartattacks in the process.

so, like, i have to know: are there any characters that are 100% definitely making it in? who are some insofar with the most submissions?

The form has been open for about 24ish hours and we have 250 submissions. I'm going to keep it open to the end open until 5/31 so it might be too early to say? I worry about saying that a character will definitely be included so new people won't submit them and risk their spot. If we continue to get a lot of submissions, we'll do a 128-character bracket.

But Matt Murdock is in there 21 times so he's definitely getting in.

Day 18 for Unitober is Genderbend.

This was my original idea for a genderbent version of the main 5 from May of 2018. Back then, I didn’t have an idea for what they would look like. Last Friday, I drew these designs out.

Harpydile is a hybrid of a harpy eagle and a crocodile instead of a hawk. I wanted to give Ray (female Rick) an updo and a headband so that her hair wouldn’t get in her face while she’s cleaning. Instead of spikes, Unipuppy has gems on her collar.

I don’t have anything in mind for what Master Frown and Bridget (girl Brock) would look like. Master Frown’s name is the same because the female Doom Lords are called Master in the show.

The Venture Bros. #34: “Dr. Quymn, Medicine Woman” | July 6, 2008 - 11:30PM | S03E06

This one’s called “not a favorite” by Jackson Publick (also the credited writer), which gives me the freedom to agree with him. I’m not sure it’s the worst episode of the show, but it could be my least favorite episode of my least favorite season, which puts it pretty far down the list. It’s also one of the few episodes of the show that might be considered completely inessential, though the revelation of Jonas Venture as a key-party swinger is fairly important to the series as a whole. It’s also information a viewer could learn from elsewhere in the show. 

This one was meant to be an old-fashioned mostly-standalone “doc and the boys go on an actual adventure” episode. The show was becoming more serialized and soap opera-y, so Jackson Publick took it upon himself to try and re-infuse the show with it’s season one roots. So Dr. Venture goes into the jungle to try and Scrooge McDuck a fertility idol from some ornery natives. Rusty is rescued by Dr. Quymn, a little girlfriend he had during childhood. They haven’t seen each other since they were ten, so no, they aren’t Hank and Dean’s mother. I don’t think the show ever confirmed or denied this, but she seems like she could be Jonas Venture Sr.’s secret spawn, making her Rusty’s sister. Nasty.

She probably isn’t, and I should have waited till the end of the write-up before putting that in your head. Anyway, while the two old friends catch up we learn that she has two twin teenage daughters, who are basically female versions of Hank and Dean. They are conventionally attractive, but the show doesn’t really creep on them as bad as it could have. In the commentary track, Jackson describes them as annoying, like season one Hank and Dean. The awkward sexual encounter they have with Dean towards the end is a little squirmy, but not a ten-out-of-ten on the grossometer. 

She also has a female Brock. She’s pretty butch, and she definitely prefers women, but briefly flirts with Brock and they meet to have sex at one point. The show basically builds towards everyone trying to bone each other. Dean is the only innocent among them, and his scene is basically an attempted rape by the girls. Doc Hammer charmingly takes umbrage with this in the commentary track. Between him and Publick, he’s much more protective of Dean’s delicate nature. If John K. were sitting in on that commentary track he’d probably call Dean a “retarded fag” and openly perv on the under-aged Jezebels.

There’s a plot about a Wereodile, which is like a werewolf but a crocodile. He’s beaten up by Clyde, an orangutan the Ventures are training to box. That whole element is a parody of Every Which Way But Loose, which is a masterpiece. Nobody fucks, but Hank does get ritualistically circumcised by the indigenous people of the jungle. This hearkens back to a line in season one, “Hank quit bragging about your circumcision.” Since Hank is a clone of that Hank, it can be surmised that 1) this copy of Hank wasn’t circumcised unlike that season one Hank, and 2) Hank is routinely singled out as the alpha male between the two Venture Bros, and often selected for scarring rites of passages. 

The Bros. relationship changes over the series, and this episode does deal with their split in personalities and interests head-on. Dean is only interested in adventuring and feels jilted by Hank who just wants to have a sexual antic with the girls. This dynamic is developed over the course of the series, and season three sorta takes the first significant steps towards the place where they end up during the finale. No spoilers!

I’ll note a few other random things, because deep down I just want to be a listicle writer: the episode’s one big laugh from me is when Doc is disgusted to learn that Dr. Quymn is epileptic. The animation for Hank’s bass guitar noodling was actually animated first, and then Doc recorded the exact notes Hank is shown playing, because he wanted it to be accurate. There are a flurry of references in the 60s flashback, but apparently this is the first appearance of Blue Morpho, who figures into the last couple of seasons pretty heavily. How about that! I don’t think it was as much a seed they were planting; Jackson and Doc just had a penchant for designing nameless background characters and then, when it came time to introduce a new guy, just pulling from what already existed in their character design files.

Ooooh gosh, the ten trillion berry question! I think One Piece has way too many characters to only have just one favourite XD so uhmmm: Smoker and Drake are my current blorbos (emotional support characters and targets for self/OC shipping), but when I started to read the manga I fell hard for Zoro and still is one of my favourite Mugiwara. I do really like Law's character: his design, his personality...I think him and the Heart Pirates would be the only captain and pirate crew I would join. Not to mention my two favourite villains: Crocodile and Doflamingo! I simply LOVE the way they're written, honestly two of the best villain I've ever seen. Also, not favourite-favourite, but really interesting are the Vinsmoke siblings. If it's true that every character that has a cover story will come back into the main manga, I'm honestly very curious about their return (and Enel as well!).

As for other shows/anime... - Dante and Vergil from the Devil May Cry franchise. - The Demolition Boys from Beyblade - Brock from Pokemon (he has a special place in my kokoro since he's the First Blorbo™ that made me create my very first OC at the tender age of 10 XD)

(honestly I have more from more recent media I enjoyed, but I went with the ones that have kept rotating in my brain for literal decades XD)

In regard of shipping, I'm more of a self/OC type. I do like canon x canon ships from time to time, but they don't stick with me for long: I can se the chemisrty and potential, enjoy the two characters together, but I do not become an 'hard' fan. My general reaction when I see canon x canon ships I like it's like "oooh they're nice!" and then continue to scroll XD

Fic set ups: uhmmmm, it really depends on my current mood I think? sometimes I need some sweet sweet x reader romance, some other times I like fic that delve into more dark settings/characters...and sometimes it's "just" good ol' well written smut XD

The conference room was only a few floors below Ash’s office, but the elevator ride felt like an eternity. None of his coworkers had been able to tell him which lawyers from Berlitz & Harrison would be present at the deposition. “I can’t imagine them sending anybody too senior,” his supervisor had said with a shrug. Gary was too senior for this witness, Ash figured, and he straightened his tie before stepping into the room.

The supervisor had, evidently, been wrong. Gary was sitting at the table, looking at his phone when Ash entered. He didn’t look up to greet him, but the man sitting next to him did.

“Brock Harrison,” he said, holding out his hand. His handshake was firm. “Partner with Berlitz & Harrison.”

A partner? “Ash Ketchum,” he said, trying not to show his confusion, “first-year associate.”

Brock was tall, with deep olive skin and close-cropped hair. Ash glanced over his suit - he didn’t think much about clothes himself, but he could tell it was pretty loose, in an unfashionable color. He wondered what Gary, who was continuing to look at his phone, thought of it.

“We’ve set up everything already, are you ready to bring in the witness?”

There was something strange in his voice, too, but Ash couldn’t place it. He stretched a bit, trying to sneak a glance at Gary’s phone, but couldn’t see anything. “I’m ready.”

The receptionist brought in their witness: a young, anxious looking man with messy blonde hair. His name was Wally - a past summer intern at Devon. The initial questions were easy enough, and while Gary had put down his phone to take notes on a yellow legal pad, with a shiny black and silver pen. 

“You were an intern at Devon Corporation in the summer of 2019, right?” Ash asked. Wally nodded and opened his mouth, but–

“Objection - leading question.”

Wally looked surprised. Ash looked at Gary, who had a small smile on his face. There was a rule here, Ash thought - no, he knew it, and he had it on the tip of his tongue. He looked to Brock - surely this kind of leading question would be acceptable. But Brock was silent, as if waiting for Ash to respond. 

“Okay,” said Ash. He didn’t need to fight it - just rephrase to get the information out. “Were you working in the summer of 2019?”

Gary didn’t object this time. Ash continued on - Wally had been an intern, and they all already knew that he had been present for the fateful meeting between Joseph Stone and Archibald Wells. He was careful from then on to establish that it was Mr. Wells and Mr. Stone; that they had spoken; that Wally was present. “When Mr. Wells came to the meeting, how was he acting?”

“Objection - vague and calls for an opinion.”

What? Ash had seen and heard this question in countless transcripts, depositions, and trials without objection. “Lawyers ask that question all the time,” he said, trying to keep his voice even.

“It’s vague, and it calls for an opinion. This is a lay witness, not an expert.”

“Describe Mr. Wells’ body language when he came to the meeting.”

“Objection, opinion. Wally here isn’t a psychologist, he was the intern taking notes. Remember?”

“Describe Mr. Wells for me.”

“Objection, asked and answered.”

Ash clenched his fist. He looked at Brock again, but Brock was impassive. And Gary was smiling. Of course he was - if Ash could even get to the meeting itself, it was going to be a minefield of hearsay. “What were your general impressions of Mr. Wells?”

Wally answered, but Ash was barely listening. He was looking at Gary, who at last did not object, but kept a flat smile and his eyebrows raised. Ash thought about a crocodile waiting for a herd of wildebeest to cross a river.

“Do you know what the purpose of the meeting was?”

“Vaguely,” said Wally, and Ash braced himself.

“What was it?”

“Um, Mr. Stone told me-”

“Hearsay.”

Wally looked lost. Ash sighed. “Did you take notes at the meeting?” He asked. 

“Yeah, but I don’t have them anymore-”

“Do you remember writing-”

“The record isn’t going to be certified, so it’s still hearsay.”

“What’s hearsay?”

Ash and Gary both looked to Wally, then to each other. Ash inhaled deeply, trying to remember the breathing exercises he’d use before a judo match. “Without saying anything anybody said-”

“Coaching.”

“That’s not what coaching is in a deposition!”

He turned his glance to Brock again, who was still silent. “The judge can make that call,” said Gary, “if you still want to continue down this line.” He was still smiling. Wally’s eyes were wide, and Ash thought he was shaking. Ash would have continued. He had to take Gary on, but would Wally be able to handle it? “Can you tell me what happened at the meeting?”

“Well…” Wally looked like he was thinking. He probably had gotten some idea of what hearsay was. “Um, Mr. Wells had some papers with him. And they fought a bit about - um, they were snapping at each other, but not really yelling. And then Mr. Wells gave Mr. Stone the papers.”

“Did you see the papers?”

“Not really, but I could tell they were some kind of plan, or schemata…”

It wasn’t long to get to the end of Wally’s deposition. Gary and Brock’s questions for him were simple - there was nothing to impeach him on because of how minor his role was. He left with an awkward smile, leaving Gary and Ash staring at each other across the table. But Brock was starting to pack up his documents, and Gary at least had the decency not to start anything in front of his superior.

Ash tried to keep it out of his mind for the rest of the day. He made it through the rest of his work - a few hours of document review, poring over the schemata in question with little assistance and looking at the visitor logs the receptionist had kept to see if Mr. Wells had come in that day. At 4:57, however, Ash’s phone rang.

“Is this Ash Ketchum?”

He recognized the voice. “Hi - yeah, it is. Is this Mr. Harrison?”

“It is! I wanted to know if you were open for dinner after you finish work. I’d like to make you an offer.”

He reached the osteria close to six, and saw Brock sitting on the patio with a half-eaten plate of bruschetta. “You should try this,” he said, holding out a piece. Ash took it and bit into it, and had to fight the urge to be cautious. But it was normal bruschetta - or rather, very good bruschetta. 

“Wow,” said Ash. “It’s great.”

“You should try a negroni, too. I normally hate them,” said Brock. But he didn’t drink; he reached for his briefcase and placed it in his lap. “How much are you making with Birch and Birch?”

“120,” said Ash.

Brock raised an eyebrow. “Only 120?” He asked. He almost looked concerned.

“I mean, I get benefits and stuff, too, and they gave me a car…”

“I like to cut to the chase. We can offer you 190,” said Brock.

Ash had just taken a bite of bruschetta, and he started coughing. Brock continued, ignoring him. “We, of course, would give you our benefits package, and we could provide you with a car. Obviously, you won’t be on the Devon case, but I have another case I could easily put you on.”

The piece of bruschetta dislodged itself, and Ash swallowed it painfully. He wished he had Brock’s negroni, but the waiter was still absent. “I bombed that deposition,” he finally said. “You saw it - Gary almost made me lose it.”

Brock waved his hand in the air. The waiter arrived, and Ash ordered his drink, fighting the urge to ask for it strong. “We coordinated that ahead of time. The partners and I looked at a bit of your past public work, and we liked what we saw.”

So it was a test. Ash wondered if Gary had volunteered to be the one to test him, or if it had been a coincidence. He was certain that Gary cared less about actually testing him than he did about making him squirm for the hell of it. “You also might want to move away from this suit, too,” said Brock. “I can’t tell you much about it - privilege and all. But think about it.”

“I don’t need to think about it,” said Ash. He knew internally he did - but even after years of law school, he preferred acting first. “I’ll take it.”
