Never played a second of Amity Arena, but I did notice a bit of that annoying Recent Franchise Thing (also seen in old & Disney!EU Star Wars) where major story beats get contextualized in spinoff material (like those books starring Neo, the caffeine team, etc) as opposed to the actual work. Friggin' mystery box mentality.

It's fine, endless repetitions of the same Little-based gag, Jaune Manpain Moment #247382, and two Justice League crossover movies no one wanted are more important than developing the setting and providing a villain's backstory

That said, this is not a new problem. The inability to fit basic worldbuilding into the show proper stretches back to at least whatever part of the Poser era introduced World of Remnant and never really improved. We've always had important stuff revealed on Twitter, or at cons, or in interviews or whatever. Sadly, much like RWBY's other issues, I don't think that's going to change anytime soon

as much as part of me doesn't want to associate my tumblr TOO heavily with my twitch streaming, part of me is entertaining the idea of having a cohesive theme across my platforms and if I was gonna change the current icon/appearance/theme it would just be for all that...

and also in the honor of that anon who said, after sending me a big hunk of anon hate, added "oh wait you're a furry ofc you don't read the news" like maybe I can prevent stupid discourse but simply being way more upfront about the furry vtuber thing lmao

idk @ long time followers and mutuals would you be too heartbroken if I did a mild re-brand? or anyone who has feedback really, I have kinda built my twitch following more or less separate from my tumblr one which is nice, but it does mean I think people here follow me expecting different content than the twitch people(more or less, there is overlap ofc and I am eternally grateful for my tumblr peeps who check out my streams and vice-versa <3) so that's worth considering as well...still the content of my blog wouldn't change AT ALL and I'd still be lastoneout ofc you can pry that username from my cold dead hands, but just my icon and blog theme and stuff?

the thought of actually drawing and posting a little webcomic either about my mech kids or my curse breaker witches has me shaking (the good kind) i have them both plotted out for the first arc or two. the witch one has more world building and writing, but the mech story has more vis dev and historical context flushed out... it's just a matter of drawing and writing until one of then comes together ahhh

also i took a break from coding learning (css was a bit confusing lol) but the theme that hiveworks uses for webcomics is open source so i might set that up with custom branding on neocities or dig up the tumblr themes for webcomics i have saved... ahhhh
