- What’s your deepest wish? - What’s the weirdest thing that has happened to you? :-)

For me? I think my deepest wish is to have time with the people that I love. As I get older, I’m realizing more that moments and people aren’t permanent. Kind of heavy, but there it is.

It’s hard to say what the weirdest thing that’s happened to me is because idk how many truly bizarre things happen to the average person. I will say, I was driving back to my parents’ home from my apartment yesterday and I saw a two story farmhouse completely engulfed in flames on the side of the highway. Like, completely engulfed. Idk, you see it in movies, but when there’s a house in front of you in real life just raging with red flames it really takes you aback.

So I realized I haven't even posted about some of my #sucesses on this #HealthJourney. There were and still are some bumps in the road. It's still a daunting task...reading all these labels, cooking more and really learning to flavor my food without the bad stuff I'm used to or can't have. I give a lot of credit to cooks/chefs cuz you gotta know your flavor profiles and what goes good with this or that, or what could go good with it. Me, I have no clue. Im not familiar with #CreatingDimension within a dish's flavor....I mean we watch a lot of #FoodNetwork programming, but all that is a lot of work. Now I know when a #ChoppedJudge complains about something being #OneNote... #lol. It's hard when you can't go to your go-tos for flavoring because they contain something you're possibly #allergic to. But I'm trying. I know there's a world of flavor out there I just gotta not be scared of and tap into. And food can be really pretty and colorful. Like those #PurplePotatoes are soooo bright and we've never had them before. Just did a simple roast in the oven with olive oil, garlic, a lil salt and cilantro....and it was #delish. A snack of #BoscPears and #QuinoaRiceCakes with some #GoatCheese. I grew up on goat cheese, my grandma used to make it fresh, altho it wasn't like hers, it was still really tasty. I've never had orange #BellPeppers so I picked that up along with a red and orange bell pepper and just did a quick #sautee with some lemon and a rando #SaltFree #HerbMix and did some #MealPrep. OMG!!!! Who am I?? Lol. Meal prep is something I've been wanting to do, just to save on time but since it takes me a while to figure out what to cook for myself, its been helpful, so far so good. Oh and #rice. Gotta have rice....I'm #Japanese and #Hispanic....rice is a #NecessityOfLife #GettingHealthy #LetsDoThis #MealPrepNoob #FlavorProfileAmateur #ChefAnneWouldCringeAtMyKnifeCuts

Tickle Me Pink: Do you believe in karma? If so, how do you think it manifests, if not, why?

I believe our actions directly affect how things go in our lives (like, being nice to people usually means you won’t be lonely; working hard at something usually produces good results), but I don’t believe in some kind of invisible karmic hand tipping the scale back and forth. Idk, I think believing that you deserve your suffering and believing that you deserve your luck are both mistakes.
