The only biome recognizable as a forest, with trees and grass. No other distinct biome has anything like it, nor any other kind of tree.

Oddly artificial, built in a terrace formation of slowly declining steppes towards a flat, almost circular center. All the trees bend inward towards this decline. Considering there a several of these formations scattered about. Some believe it to be a form of tree farm.

Untouched by the waterfalls, with no standing water to speak of. The waterfalls scatter about the edges, but never cross over a seemingly invisible barrier.

The majority of wildlife seems to live in here, whether that be the infected or the few safe. Evidence of the Golden Absolution chokes this place, so it's very easy to misstep and the forest should be avoided when possible.

No shrubbery to speak of, just trees and grass. Some of the grass has grown tall, but most of it is cut short, these sections referred to as Turf. It, too, feels artificial. Grazing animals don't even try to eat it.

Filled with primarily Catalade Trees and Vurna Berries. The animals who live there subsist mostly off of each other, being scavengers. The few uninfected eat the tree leaves. None of them eat the berries. It is assumed they are poisonous for the creatures living there.

Minecraft feels like it doesn’t know what to do for big updates any more so they’re doing like small miscellaneous updates collected together. I wish they’d move on from trying to give them a theme bc I feel like that’s just confusing.

One thing I wish they’d do is do updates from time to time and go back and add pieces to old update. Like maybe add more fish or tree types.

Specifically what made me have this thought is that I’d love if they’d add more to the geodes. Like the amethysts are lovely but I’d love if there was a whole range of crystals to find in geodes!! I feel like that’s along the line of the archaeological stuff they’ve done recently! Digging into the earth for history and stuff!

Also if they ever do a forest update I’d freak out. I’d love if they revamped their nature bc I feel like that part of the over world specifically has been the same since the beginning era of minecraft. Like ocean, nether, caves, villages, NOW FOREST. And end.

Feels like natural progression of their universe growing! And I like feeling like the updates can have a “story” like aspect to me. Especially bc worldbuilding. Favorite idea when it comes to minecraft lore

uehehe this one is a favorite of mine actually ! this is purpleheart (based on a real wood), a rare tree that populates hot and warm biomes with a vibrant purple wood whose color decays under sunlight ! I do plan on having savanna villagers use buildings made of it, even using gradient patterns !

Playing vanilla Minecraft for the first time in a while for the new 1.20 update and I know this isn't a new feature, but- holy shit I haven't had this much fun exploring cave systems in vanilla Minecraft since I did it for the first time as a seven year old

#not jojo related #usually i get very bored with vanilla minecraft fast which is why i play with modpacks. but the caves are extremely fun now #i love how it mimics real cave systems and formations now #and they're huge it feels like a labyrinth #and the underground biomes are just amazing #i can go down there and get stacks and stacks of stuff and come back up in a completely different opening than the one i entered #the only thing i have to say is that it's kind of annoying there are so many decoration blocks with no other purpose #geodes are very fun to find but not very useful... same for all the plant life #the betweenlands (which is a 10/10 mod IMO) was really good with giving all of its little features a function #every plant and animal and random block had a use save for a couple of craftable/findable decoration blocks #and it had backpacks and stuff so your inventory almost never got clogged #i wish vanilla minecraft was more like betweenlands NGL. not the boss fights and stuff necessarily but more its design structure
