Obviously they want us to trust that everything is okay behind the scene by bringing back Chayanne and Tallulah like "See? They're back! And theyre doing lore!! So dont worry!" And i want to believe that but I don't understand why they can't just. Make an official announcement. Not make people guess what they mean. Stop the entertainement train for 2 seconds to actually confirm that changes happened.

Why is the returning of previously unpaid employees with no actual confirmation that they are paid now treated like a fun lore moment? Why is every important decision always announced in such an indirect manner? Why do we have to guess their intentions and make a leap of faith every time something new happens?

I mean I know the answer, this is to keep the fans hooked, not reminding fans of the studio's mistakes and let the streamers who put all their eggs in the QSMP basket (ha) continue creating interesting content on the mostly empty server... but why does this take priority over contacting the people that were exploited?

They could have had both. They could have had this "the show must go on" attitude without ghosting all the victims. They could have tried to make it less public without relying on the fans'past attachment to the project to keep trusting them.

We are not privy to any detail, but if we had had confirmation from ex admins that they were being heard and would be solving things privately, i would have accepted it and trusted the process. But alas, that's not what happened... (maybe it's happening rn but our last update was apparently from sunnys admin 4 days ago saying that they had no update, so you know)

hey everyone! i want to first off thank everyone for your support bc it's meant a lot to me throughout this whole shitshow <3 in better news too, for everyone following the last 4 months of my life and how shitty those have been, i've been grinding my butt off over on twitch and i'll be eligible to get paid next month! not an insane amount, by any means, but enough to cover some bills which i'm so excited about because it means things are turning around.

as of right now, shit's still pretty rough and there's no way to get an advanced payout so i'll have to wait until the 12th for that. i've sold pretty much everything i could sell that i own, and i've been doing some odd translation jobs but it just hasn't even remotely come close to something livable for me. i have around 20€ to my name and that's because a friend was kind enough to help me.

the concept of "lore" ruined discussion of mcrp because like. people use it to mean some kind of weird hybrid of plotline and worldbuilding but ONLY if the server is drama-focused otherwise it doesn't count i guess.

so you get people saying like. hermitcraft isn't a lore server. smplive isn't a lore server. sdmp isn't a lore server. and it's like yeah this is true because "lore server" is a meaningless slop category you guys made up. they very much have plotlines and worldbuilding though 💀

begging people who are still saying things like "trust the process" or "trust qstudios to have changed" to understand that trust is much harder to gain than it is to lose, and even harder to regain after losing.

trust has to be built and honestly qstudios hasnt dont much to try and build it after we found out about the issues within the company. if anything they just lose it more and more as more admins share their experiences and we continuously fail to see any real changes.

i’m almost admirative off people who think like that tbh. "trust the process", "trust that they will do right" ok by WHY ? has anything so far been done that could make me feel that way ? has any positive changes been even just hinted at ? hello ???

maybe it’s just me being too negative about this but what has been done or said besides quackity saying "bad person fired. i quit. new team in charge" like okay great… i guess ????? like wow i’m so glad that a new team of completely unknown people are leading the project and i definitely blindly trust them to do the right thing /j

not saying the new people in charge are bad people or anything obviously but should we just trust that they fixed everything no question ? should people throw their money at them by buying merch and hope that it’ll go towards paying staff ?

and like, even if you forget everything going on server side… look at the fandom’s state lmao. qsmpblr is not that bad because it’s such a small community but qsmptwt…. almost all the french speakers i followed dropped it and changed fandom or had to deactivate or go private because of the hate. a good chunk of brasilian fans also it left the fandom, quotes on qsmp accounts used to be full of them and now it’s mostly quackity fans. plus all the people who stopped caring since their fav cc(s) don’t log on anymore
