This story is about my experience became friend with someone i accidentally met on random tiktok live and i asking her to be FRIEND MOOTS

her nickname idk, i just call her M, she is the oldest child, from what i see she is a very good big sis to her younger sis(her sister is so lucky to have u M).height 5'4 feet in cm its like 162.56 (she told me how else i know😐)born on September something 2005. I thought i'm going to jail man😐 but i born on 2001 so it okay, thanks God for that✊ (im a little bit cooked tbh i'm on a thin ice right back there😔) she a Filipino Canadian Girl, raised in Alberta , Edmonton , Canada. It take about 24hr 45 min flight from my place. One day i hope for to meeting her in person😤,even though i know its not gonna happen(just me being delulu).

Actually, i want to witness the flower bloom in spring with my own eyes + Also meeting my buddy. She told me her province is known for Grand Prairie’s and stuff, it's like a full green land and have so many lake ,as i recall there also a moutain (6 hours ride from her home) bcs she told me that there is so many wild flower will bloom when it spring season. I bet the view is so beautiful, you know nature and beautiful, a word that can't be separated, and yes always beautiful + watching with her? Bro!! i gotta prepare insulin injection bcs i might got sick from all those sweet moment with her

Other thing about her.She is one of the lactose intolerant victim , can't drink or eat anything contain dairy stuff ,only almond milk. She told me she can't eat corndog ,poor her.😭 Bro!! i eat corndog like i cant even count how much i eat.When she say that , i wish i can give her a hug but must keep it halal (yes i'm a muslim). Furthermore, i like like like it when she go suddenly share random fact about her ,one example of it "i hate energy drink" and "im just got choke from reading your comment bro" , she so random Bro that is one of her charm and i loving it (as a buddy ofc)

And one moment, my dumbass go tell her to try drink banana milk, After re-read my chat i go Oof what have i done😐. Also the so CUTE impression of her i can't hold myself to tease her😭(im cooked). SO STRONG INFJ VIBE FR. There is one morning we chatting about breakfast , she say she making a toast bread, I ask her "M you eating the bread with what? peanut butter?" and she answer "i eat it with banana and something" , then i say "i like banana too" for real i like banana💯. Then, i saw my opportunity to tease her and i took it😭, i start with asking her "u know what i like too?" ,she reply "what?" , it might seem crazy what gonna say, i with my full consciousness say " i like strawberry jam, strawbewwy jam is so✨✨" , and she reply with "Oooh" then "okay". I feel like a bad guy at that moment but man she so cute i cant resist it I am so sorry M forgive me🙏😔. (i want to do it again frfr)

She going into Nursing then paramedics like ambulance people, praying for her to achieve her dream, Amin .Please God give her All the strength she need bcs im so far away from her🤲.(Proud for her Bro as buddy ofc).She enjoy work out so much (i like it too💯), consider it her hobby for now.She like to say LOL a lot i know everyone does but her LOL is different for me (dont attack me).

Something i truly get hurt from is the fact she have anxiety/panic attack(she frequently got stomachache).I really want to know how to pleasant or calming her, tbh i try search and read many article about anxiety, unfortunately ,i don't find any effective ways just some drinking water and stuff like that😔. Before the covid, i take the MBTI test between 2018-2019 i'm still in college back then and My first MBTI test result is ENFP. Fyi, i'm quite not shy person. After Covid, between 2023 year i retake the test the reason is i notice that my social skill is gone ,maybe bcs im live alone. Moth’s and Lorelei’s Veggie or Vegan Sandwich Tips:

To preface this I’m kind of a picky eater, especially about textures. Most delis in my area's offerings for vegetarians are made up of various roasted veggies, avocado and cucumber, resulting in a very GOOPY unappetizing sandwich.

I also don’t subscribe to the idea that vegetarians should only eat vegetables, and that fake meats are all flavorless and pointless. Most of the tastiest vegetarian sandwiches I’ve had include fake meats.

Nothing I’ve written here is crazy insightful or revolutionary but if anything here helps someone make a tasty vegetarian or vegan sammy I will be happy.

Additions specifically written by my lovely girlfriend Lorelei are marked (L) for Luigi.

Sandwich thoughts below the cut!

Fake Meat:

I will start with the cheaper, easier to find fake meats. Good vege sandwiches should be accessible IMO. I believe these brands will be more widely available and you won’t have to go to a specialty health food store to find em.

Morning Star Farms Bacon:

The MSF bacon is salty and savory and can be as crispy or chewy as you like. Just cook it a couple minutes on either side in a dry non-stick pan. I’m not sure that it tastes exactly like bacon, but it’s strong point is that it has a good flavor all on its own which is what I think defines any good vege meat.

Morning Star Chik Patties:

A great chik’n patty if you are looking for a crispy chicken sandwich, easy to cook in the skillet or the microwave (both ways come out tasty and crispy). Overall Morning Star has good stuff and is widely available.

Tofurkey:

really succeeds at a lunch meat texture and has a subtle savory flavor that allows it to support other sandwich ingredients.

Fancier Fake Meats:

Green Slice Meatless Deli Slices:

(WARNING not all of them are vegan some use egg white) I’ve often wondered why there was no vege ham alternative, on a recent grocery run I discovered there was one! Green Slice’s applewood smoked slice (I have only tried this flavor, but I’m sure the others are also good) these have a lovely very meat-like texture and flavor. My only quibble is that they are very small and there aren’t that many.

Sweet Earth Facon:

This bacon smells amazing and tastes very bacony. It is cooked in oil, make sure to use paper towel to blot off extra oil.

Light Life Smoky Tempeh Bacon:

Tempeh itself gets a bad rap (you have to cook it in a very specific way), but honestly for sandwiches tempeh is not worth using unless its smokey tempeh bacon. It has a lovely flavor, but it is a very different experience to the other two facons in this list. Imagine it as the contrast between your typical everyday bacon and a thick cut, pepper corn encrusted, artisanal bacon. It is thicker and chewier, but has a delicious smoky sweet flavor.

Tofu:

Pan Seared Tofu:

Ok if you’re really not into fake meats or you just like tasty tofu here is a home made, very tasty, and pretty all purpose recipe for a tofu sandwich filling. This recipe is from The Pho Cookbook by Andrea Nguyen. Best part about it, no need to press! Cooking it in the pan before adding oil drives off water super well, and gives a really unique tenderness. We eat this on it’s own, it’s that good!

Ingredients: firm tofu, 1 TBSP neutral oil, 1 TBSP soy sauce (optional in this case if it doesn’t fit the VIBE of your sandwich, if you leave out the soy sauce make sure to compensate with other umami ingredients in the sandwich)

Instruction: cut your tofu into desired shape (triangle or domino or whatever) put them in a DRY non stick pan, and drizzle with soy sauce on both sides (if desired, salt and pepper could also be used).

Cook on medium without disturbing the pieces for ~5 mins.

Drizzle with oil and then flip them, allow the second side to cook for ~5 mins.

To check if the second side is ready try shaking the pan a little, if the tofu moves you can flip. If they are not to your desired brownness flip again and allow to continue cooking until you are satisfied. You are looking for a mottled brown color.

Crispy Tofu:

If you are looking for a crispier tofu here is a homegrown method that I’ve learned through trial and error, also a great addition to spring rolls.

Ingredients: firm tofu, neutral oil, salt and pepper (any other seasoning you like). OPTIONAL: a sauce as in orange sauce, teriyaki, or even BBQ (never tried BBQ but it could work.)

Instructions:

Most important thing for crispy tofu is to drain and PRESS IT. I would press it for between 15-20 minutes. Either cut up your pieces to desired shape and size before pressing or press the whole block if you want to prepare a big portion.

After they are pressed and the moisture is removed, season your tofu. I’ve experimented with rolling tofu in cornstarch to add an extra crispiness but it should crisp up on its own. You may just sprinkle your desired seasoning on both sides as you like.

In a non stick pan fry tofu on both sides in oil (enough to coat your pan) on medium high heat until golden brown and crispy. When cooking tofu I’ve heard it’s good to leave it undisturbed before flipping to prevent bits sticking to the bottom and preserve inner softness. Try shaking the pan, if the tofu moves a bit it is not going to stick to the pan and lose it’s crispy outer layer. When they are finished cooking set the tofu on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.

OPTIONAL: in the last minutes of cooking add a sauce of your choosing, flip the tofu to coat.

Fats:

Avocado:

Avocado is a great addition to almost any sandwich, especially if you are vegan or lactose intolerant. It can easily take the place of cheese or mayo in 99% of sandwiches.

Vegan Cheese:

My girlfriend has tried MANY vegan cheeses and has found all of them to be disappointing. So we have no recommendations for vegan cheese.

Garlic Butter:

A tasty spread to up your sandwiches flavor. we don’t have a recipe with EXACT measurements, this is all to taste. This can be applied to any sandwich for extra flavor and fat.

Ingredients:

A couple spoonfuls of Butter/Vegan butter

1 small garlic clove (or garlic powder)

Black pepper

Italian herb blend (or pretty much any green herb, fresh or dried [dried preferred] will be tasty)

Honey (if vegan just leave out the honey)

Instructions: In a small bowl grate your garlic clove into the butter, add all other seasonings and the optional honey, and mix. Make sure and taste, if you find it under flavored add more of the flavor stuff, if it is overpowering add more butter (this can keep in the fridge if you end up with too much). Then just spread the desired amount on your toasted bread.

(L) Mayonnaise:

Ok listen, it's stinky. But so is almost every cheese. It adds more of a feeling than a flavor, the fattiness can really uplift a lot of sandwiches, especially with tomato. But, if you are opposed to mayo for whatever reason, avocado, cheese, even olive oil, will fill this role. (not sure about vegan mayos but it can't be that hard to nail right? (Moth does not endorse this pro mayo stance)

(L) Vegan/Dairy freeRanch:

I don’t like ranch, but this homemade stuff really justifies it. I used normal mayo but it should work with vegan mayo. This is a very loose recipe, so tweak it to what works for you

½ cup mayonnaise (egg or plant based)

½ a lemons worth of juice

¼ cup oat milk (soy and almond milk don't play nice with savory flavor)

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp fine chopped fresh dill (or dried, or any green herb0

Whisk the mayo, milk, and lemon together. Add your herbs, and let it sit in the fridge overnight

This is the most important step, this time allows the garlic powder to rehydrate and the herbs to steep that give the ranch its signature flavor. Ranch is basically garlic powder sauce.

I have not tested this ratio much (ok fine at all), so trust your gut!

Also fun fact, juice of 1 lemon + 1 cup of oat milk + time = 1 cup of vegan buttermilk!

MISC:

Deli dressing:

You can buy this bottled in store or make your own at home easily. It will add that deli je ne sais quoi to a sandwich. Works best on a simple sandwich that might otherwise be lacking in flavor.

Ingredients:

Olive oil

Red wine vinegar (any vinegar should do TBH)

Italian seasoning (again some dried oregano or other similar dried herbs should be fine)

Salt and pepper

OPTIONAL: put some vinegar hot sauce (tapatio, cholula, taco bell packet, etc) in that bad boy.

Instructions: mix it UP. This is another recipe that I usually just measure out by eye and taste

Falafel: I am not very experienced in making falafel so I don’t have a recipe on hand, but they are yummy.

Sprouts: a welcome addition to almost any sandwich, earthy, light and crunchy. They are also really easy to grow in a jar at home.

Pickles: love these funny dudes, they don't play well with sweeter sandwiches though. Use your judgement.

Chips: put em in there, 12 year olds know what they're doing.

Dutch Crunch: objectively the best sandwich bread.

Coleslaw: if you dislike coleslaw maybe you’ve only had a mayo based one. The only good coleslaw is vinegar based. Thin sliced cabbage, olive oil, vinegar of choice, honey (or vegan alternative) a spoonful of grainy mustard and salt and pepper. Great on a chik’n based sandwich.

Vegetarian Sandwich Ideas:

I don’t really have anything ground breaking here but here are some of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve made. If for some reason you want to try making one of these you can add or leave off anything you like. Salt and pepper all your sandwiches. And add cheese to any if you eat cheese!

BLAT or BLA:

To start this off, I don’t like tomatoes in sandwiches, I know I’m not correct, but you can add tomatoes if you want.

Ingredients:

Garlic butter

iceberg lettuce (or any lettuce)

avocado

facon (my fav is morning star farms, a fancier facon such as smoky tempeh bacon is also good but has a completely different flavor and texture)

tomatoes (optional because I do not like them)

(L) TOMATO TIP: salt and pepper your tomatoes and let them sit a moment, also if its not tomato season cherry tomatoes are ur best bet for a decent tomato from the store.

Orange Tofu Sandwich:

A note: feel free to substitute a different sauce or to omit sauce entirely. The pan seared tofu makes a good sandwich filling without any extra sauce.

Ingredients: pan seared tofu, crispy tofu, or gardein orange chikn nuggets (these come with a packet of orange sauce)

Orange sauce

Iceberg lettuce (other lettuces or even finely chopped cabbage will be good as well)

Avocado

Thin sliced sweet or bell pepper

(L) Fancy “Ham” on Rye:

Ingredients:

Rye bread The rye bread adds a lovely funky herby note to the entire experience. Its what makes it fancy.

Green Slice applewood smoked(or any You could use tofurkey, but honestly if you find it/afford it green slice has an amazing texture and deep flavor that tofurkey doesn't. This is a simple fancy sandwich, splurging is gonna go a long way here.

Garlic Honey butter

Iceberg Lettuce (again or any other lettuce, or a mix with arugula and spinach)

Optional mayo: (L) i adore mayonnaise on this kind of sandwich, it really lets the other flavors shine. I havent tried it with avocado, my gut says it wouldnt work as good but I’m not a cop put some on there avocado is yummy.

Optional cheese a sharp cheddar or fancy gruyere.

Crispy Chik’n Sandwich:

Ingredients:

Morning Star Chik Patty (spicy one if ur spicy)

Facon (strong recommendation for morning star on this one)

Vinegary vegan coleslaw (or any lettuce iceberg is recommended and easier on the fly)

Dill pickles (pickles+crispy chicken very yummy, we specify it on this one because its almost necessary for a spicy sandwich.)

Condiments of choice (ketchup, BBQ, honey, hot sauce etc)

Deli Style Sandwich:

A really basic sandwich, add whatever other sandwich fixings you like.

Ingredients:

Tofurkey

Sprouts

Iceberg lettuce

Sandwich dressing

Avocado

Pickle or Cucumber

Y’all I just want to talk about one of my best friends because I really appreciate him and his friendship.

Like I have mentioned him before. He and I constantly get shipped together. He is a year younger than I am. We’ve known each other since I was in first grade and he was in kinder, so we were TINY. We weren’t really close in elementary school because of the grade difference, but we knew each other and he basically lives across from my grandmother’s house. I remember his mom would see me and she’d send me to take things to him in class. In junior high we hung out because he was friends with my friends, too. And in high school, it was the same thing. We had a couple of conflicts that we resolved, which was good, but other than that, our friendship has been really fucking nice. In high school, I remember I went to pick him up from his class for an assembly and we got locked in the damn classroom and we were so close to screaming, we’re fucking useless. Anyway, I guess we made it out because here we are lmfaooo. All of our friends and us would sit together and from that big group, seven of us stayed in our main best friend group (the group chat is called Familia, but I asked him to take me out because messages give me anxiety rip).

Anyway, he is very attentive to what my friends and I say and he has a good memory for things. He looks out for me when I don’t because I have dumb bitch energy and I’m an anxious bisexual fuck, so he knows that SOMEONE has to look out for me because if he doesn’t, our other friends will, but not as like...well as him, I guess. But YEAH. I have had to go on a gluten-free diet in the past because bread and other flour/baked foods would make my stomach cry. I’m also lactose intolerant. I don’t drink coffee and I love tea. I’m a lightweight so I can only have one drink per hangout because I get tipsy out of nothing tbh ridic. And there’s other details that he just remembers like he has it written on an index card or some shit. Which is NICE. So whenever we are going to eat something that has bread/cookies/cake/baked goods, he looks at it first and then reminds me “This is a cookie. Do you still want it?” And I’m like “Yeah give it to me fuck it.” Or he tells me “this frosting has milk, so bring your pill to eat dairy.” He is the only friend that’s done this and I honestly appreciate everything he has done for me and my life’s preservation because I, for one, do not give a fuck about my health sometimes and just go “fuck give it to me”, but then he pulls a stop sign on me like “you dumbass this is gonna fuck up your stomach.” He has also been there for me during very dark times like my past 5 years of depression and anxiety, me distancing myself, my suicidal ideations, my grandfather’s death, and me going through a lot of shit because of my sexuality. Like when I need to talk, he’s there. I will never forget that. And I told him this last night, that I’m really glad we’re friends and that he’s the only one out of our group that keeps in touch with me because I struggle with communication. Like if anyone has ever messaged me, you know I can go days or weeks without answering. He knows and understands, though sometimes jokes to not ghost him (I don’t do it on purpose!), and he sends me messages and doesn’t pressure me to answer him.

What strained our friendship the most was how everyone would ship us (still ship us???). We are very close. We hug. We’ve called each other dumb nicknames to fuck around like “My love” and “My life”, but we know we’re joking. We sit together, or side by side all the time. That is our place. And he is the only one whom I feel comfortable sitting on my left side. I am blind from my left eye so I always always feel uncomfortable when someone sits/walks on my left side because I can’t see them. He is the exception because I can hear him and he also draws my attention before anything so he doesn’t surprise me. Anyway, yeah we also tend to share food/drinks. We also hold eye contact with one another like we are very attentive to each other. I guess we give off that ‘couple’ vibe?? But we are just really good, close friends and it honestly killed me whenever someone would bring up the ‘dating’ topic. Like we went with it for a while. When we would get asked if we were together, we would say yes. We would pretend and we didn’t need to do much to pull it off because people already thought we were together. Until he asked me to tone it down and I just went ahead and stopped because it was getting to me as well. It sucked. I really hate how society just thinks that if a guy and a girl are close, they are a couple. Even my aunts thought we were together. My aunt asked me all the time if we were a thing and I was like “No.” Even my own mother wanted me to date him. It was too much. I had to spend time away from him. I actually needed space. I was not comfortable and I had to just spend time away so that I could like feel like myself. I think about that and I honestly feel my stomach churning. I never liked him in a romantic way. I thought I did because everyone would tell us this and that and God, I wish people would just shut up. I doubt he ever liked me like that, either, which is a GOOD thing. If I remember correctly, he told me he didn’t like me like that (???) because I was with my boss when I mentioned it and I had to talk to someone about it and my boss was like ‘well it’s good you know now’ and I was really happy about it! (I think this was the first time I went ‘I’m ace/aro’, but never acknowledged it until later). So yeah. So don’t ship people please. It feels like hell tbh.

Our friendship is still Gucci and we still go out, though I noticed that since I left for uni I’ve been distant because of my poor communication skills. But he knows I’d never forget him. It’s kinda hard to do so when he lives two blocks away from my house lmfao. And right in front of my grandmother’s. I really hope we can remain good friends in the future. It’s just really nice to have someone like that in my life. I just started thinking about this because I gave him a Christmas present last night and he got me something, too. And even though we were going out with friends, I only got him and another friend a gift. I don’t have money right now, I’m flat broke and I’m waiting for student loans to save me because that pays rent and groceries. But I got him and our other friend something because they’re just real MVPs in my life, but moreso him. Idk I just wanted to talk about him because he’s a great human being and a wonderful friend and I hope good things happen to him.

Where and when were you born? 3/18/1993

Who are your parents? Rodney Beckham; Rodney is an established real estate agent. He’s a firm believer in discipline and earning everything w/ no handouts. Though he’s stern on me, he’s a gentle giant to my mama. Giselle Beckham; She’s an elementary school teacher with tons of patience. She's very vocal and has an answer to everything. Though she’s molded me to be her very own mama’s boy, she still allowed my dad to make me into a man.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? My brother, Demetrius, passed when I was 14 and he was 15 from drowning. He was my best friend, my partner in crime and even my role model despite the closeness in our age. Our dad taught us to always have each other’s back and we never strayed from that lesson. Demetrius was more rebellious but I was never one to say no to the adventures, including our last mischievous episode where we snuck out to hang with friends at the lake.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. I currently live in a 3-bedroom 2-story home in Los Angeles that was sold to me by my dad with a small ass discount. It’s not a massive house but it’s my own sanctuary for myself, my shoes and my Frenchy.

PART 2: GROWING UP

How would you describe your childhood in general? It was a typically decent childhood. I had a strict ass father, but that didn’t stop me and my brother from rebelling and doing our own thing.

What is your earliest memory? Being dropped off at a daycare and crying like a lil’ bitch until my mama sat down on the carpet with me. I think she snuck out on me at one point though.

How much schooling have you had? Despite all my setbacks, I graduated college with my bachelor’s degree.

Did you enjoy school? Yeah, bitches, sports and I was the plug on campus. Even though all of that got me in trouble with the laws a few times.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? I was a curious child. I also liked to test my limits and boundaries, what’s the word for that? I was a follower, but only to my brother.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? Of course I was. Isaiah was one of my first best friends after we beat each other the fuck up. He was territorial and a smart ass. Still is. But he was loyal and a host of other things. My brother was another one. The rest were just friends in passing. People knowing me but me not knowing them was common.

When and with whom was your first kiss? This big booty bitch named Stacy in 5th grade. She was in 7th. I counted her as my first kiss because them other lil kisses was nothing compared to that.

Describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. After my brother died, I shut down. Nothing was worth experiencing without my him with me. I briefly dropped out of school unbeknownst to my parents and that’s when I got introduced to the trap. I started doing runs for the big guy and the money was good. That lasted for almost 8 years until the last time my parents had to bail me out of jail and gave me an ultimatum that was far worse than the one from the judge.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? The grand opening of my shoe store.

Who has had the most influence on you? My family

What is your greatest regret? Letting my dad down and making my mama cry.

My final thoughts on Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 HEEENNNYYYYY

Hold on to you’re wigs children, it’s a long ride.

Morgan McMichaels-

I’ll admit it, I thought Morgan was a total bitch and I absolutely did not care for her.

HOWEVER, once she came back, and we got to see the other sides of her, I was like “wow, shame on me for completely and totally misjudging her”

Now I’m low key disappointed that she didn’t get more screen time

I would have loved to really see what she could bring

All in all I’m happy that she was able to get back into the spotlight and earn some hella respect from a whole new fan base ❤️

Thorgy Thor-

I absolutely love me some Thorgy Thor gurllll

I love how crazy and cucky she is, her whole vibe I totally dig it

I just wished she would believe in her self truly

I felt she spent so much time exerting so much energy into jealousy and paranoia that she didn’t really get a chance to shine for her true self.

All in all, I’ll always love me some Thorgy Thor and I can only hope that she’s able to see past her demons and become her best self ❤️❤️

Milk

Ohhh big and Milky gurlllll

I liked milk in her orginal season

I thought she was a weirdo in the best way and just totally misunderstood

That being that, I was a bit disappointed when she came in with her total holier than thou kind of thought process, which I totally called btw

Yes, you got to work with Marc Jacobs but that don’t make you the queen of England honeyyy

Tho on the other hand I think it’s never really a bad thing to be to confident in life

Milks confidence, tho it sometimes makes her head swell, will take her super far in life

Chi Chi is a precious baby who deserves to be protected at all cost

But it’s all good baby because she had grown from her original season

And just like a beautiful blooming flower, she’s just gonna keep growing ❤️❤️🌸🌸

Aja-

I am so proud of Aja okay

I think for having the smallest amount of time between seasons, she grew absolutely tremendously

I was neutral about her in her original season

But when she came back I was absolutely sold heeennnyyy I love me some Aja now

I truly wish she had been chosen to come back because I felt she had the best track record of the eliminated queens and had the most to offer

I highly expect her career to take off to the stars and I wish her all the best of luck❤️❤️❤️

Ohhhhh miss BenDeLa !!

I did not expect her to do as well as she did at all tbh

It actually kind shook me cause I was like ohh gurl if she keeps doing well, that means she’s gonna win

And that mean Trixies not gonna win...

I’m usually really good about avoiding spoilers but I totally seen that she was going to eliminate herself

I didn’t want to believe it but when I watched it, it was like I couldn’t really feel it cause it had been spoiled

However I do truly respect her for doing what she did

When it comes to confrontation DeLa is literally me

I hate it so much, it makes my skin crawl

If she wouldn’t have eliminated herself I think it’s obvious she would have won

All in all, DeLa is truly a pure soul in the world and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. ❤️❤️

Bebe Zahara Benet

I didn’t really know how to feel about Bebe at first tbh

I had watched season 1 once like a long time ago

And honestly I was like okay... when she won

Now that she was back, I do truly see why she was picked to be the very first winner of Drag Race

Everything she does (except maybe choreography😅) she’s great at !

I did think she was a bit divalicious but who wouldn’t be in her position

I also love her love for her home country

It goes so well with her over all “brand” and what’s better than being absolutely proud of where you come from ?

Bebe is an embodiment if that

All in all, great well polished queen

And like she said heennyyy she’ll still always be the ORGINAL Rupaul’s Drag Race winner ❤️❤️❤️

Kennedy Davenport

Kennedy is a grumpy old man who just wants some lovin

I’ll be honest I felt like Kennedy was sort of a Roxy Andrews situation

There were many times where I felt she should have went home

However I can understand the struggles she’s had and in the end yes, I do truly believe she deserved a spot in the top 4

Top 2 ?? Ehhhhh, not at first I’ll be honest

But the more the eliminated queens and Kennedy herself talked about how all the other queens are basically so much more well out than she is, and how she kinda did need the win more than the other girls, the less mad I was

In the end I was like yeah, Kennedy does need this win, and even thou I am a die hard Trixie fan, I would have been absolutely 100% okay with Kennedy winning 🙌

I hope everyone gives her the proper love she deserves at DragCon as well as any other meet and greets

She is truly an amazing dancer, she paints a beautiful mug and she’s the kind of person who will tell you the truth, and the shit you need to hear even tho you don’t wanna hear it, you know what I mean Vern

Like I said before, I am a die hard Trixie Mattel fan, like I would take a bullet for her

However.... I truly truly believe, Shangela was robbed and should have won !

So apparently I ran out of text blocks so Trixie’s is going to be one long thing separated by... first of all OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG... I literally fucking cried when she won... I just about had a heart attack when she was pick for the 2nd queen... I really did not think she was going to win... but I couldn’t be happier what she did... Her as3 journey was an emotional roller coaster tbh... I thought this season was going to be kinda like season 2 how it seems like it was made for Alaska... I thought this season was going to be made for Trixie... it really thru me off when she didn’t start off so strong... I also felt bad because she would always talk about how she felt like she was letting her fans down... I wanted to do nothing but shower her with love but I didn’t even realize what kind of pressure was set on her... I was legit worried for a bit that she would be eliminated... and tbh when Ben went home, I was low key relieved because I was like there is now way Trixie is going to win with Ben out her slaying every challenge.... I don’t know what happened when she snapped out of it and finally brought it... but am I sure glad she did... obviously I think Trixie deserved to win, but I can still appreciate her fumbles and reasons on why LOTS of people are mad about it. But seriously, it’s just Drag !!! Just like anything else in the world, shit happens, and then we move on !!! Trixie is my queen, and I don’t know how that happened because all my life I’ve totally despised country music and basically any country folk stuff at all. Winter in Miami is probably a New Yorker’s dream, at least for me as I drown in layers of coats and sweaters and can still barely feel my own hands... Have to say, the weather here in Jan was the optimal combination of humidity and warmth. I was also pleasantly surprised by how metropolitan the downtown area is. Unlike other any tropical cities I’ve been to before, Miami has a strong big city vibe with all the vibrant bars, restaurants, stacks of tall buildings and 24-hour convenience stores (--those are important too okay?!).

A brief rundown of key locations from my way-too-short-not-ready-to-go-back weekend trip, hope these helps--

Saturday afternoon: arrived and checked into rental apartment in Brickell Icon (great location in downtown), amazed by the weather, got food at La Mar, and went out to a couple bars (Sugar, Blue Martini Brickell)

Sunday: brunch at Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita, toured Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, ubered to Wynwood and absolutely loved the area, dessert at The Salty Donut, random dinner at Pollos y Jarras (not very good)

Monday: Perez Art Museum, airpot...

Food

In terms of food (by now you all know I love food/taking photos of them), you also have options, but can get a little tricky. While ceviches and cervezas seem like the obvious choices, for someone who not only can't eat dairy (mixed in most ceviches) but also not a big fun of beer, I had a hard time finding things to eat in some of the most popular restaurants... For example, when we went to CVI.CHE 105, one of the best+most reviewed place on Yelp, 99% of the dishes on the elaborate menu do not/couldn't be adjusted to accommodate my lactose intolerance. However, if you re into smoothies and cafes and açaí bowls, you’d be very happy here. There are also a great selection of Cuban and Peruvian food for apparent reasons (literally everyone here speaks Spanish, I felt a little left out tbh) and somehow an astonishing number of restaurants here are asian fusion. For recommendations, I would give you just one, for good view and services. Food itself was decent, but not mind blowing in any ways.

Normal brunch with extra hip name, limited coffee options (as in only black coffee...), but lots of cocktails!

The Salty Donut

The vegan donut (pictured below) was really not that good. Regular ones might be better, good reviews online at least...!

Bars

Miami is famous for its nightlife. Although because of time constraint and mostly my 11pm bedtime, we did not explore too much. I ended up going to 2 bars only (Sugar and Blue Martini, both in Brickell) and called it a day. Some clubs recommended to me by friends include E11EVEN MIAMI, Club Space, LIV, and Story (last two are in South Beach).

[Blue Martini: fun vibe, more clubby and had dancers. They serve cocktail with the shaker which was kinda nice. Wish I had a better photo but I don't...]

Museums

Loved Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Great architecture, beautiful construction, intriguing details, made for photos. So there’re lots of photos...See for yourself:p

Pérez Art Museum Miami

or the ‘PAMM’

Modern art, pretty decent selection with a slight focus on South American art. There was a short film about Brazilian pop stars that was really impressive, but not sure if its permanent/also can't remember the name...Outside of the museum was beautiful though.

Wynwood, Wynwood Walls

Really hip area with lots to do. Cafes, shops, street markets, and GRAFFITIS To me feels like Bushwich and Soho had a child with less people and more space. Definitely a great area for the younger crowd.

Wynwood Walls is a very well organized part of Wynwood filled with graffiti, reminding me of part Berlin Wall that was turned into a street art gallery (east side gallery? something along those lines). Although in my mind the essence of street art is that it is spontaneous and free and should not be caged in one place. At least I always appreciated some nice unexpected artful vandalism on some random streets.
