In 399 BC, Socrates was formally accused of corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens, and for asebeia (impiety), i.e. worshipping false gods and failing to worship the gods of Athens. At the trial, Socrates defended himself unsuccessfully. He was found guilty by a majority vote cast by a jury of hundreds of male Athenian citizens and, according to the custom, proposed his own penalty: that he should be given free food and housing by the state, for the services he rendered to the city. In the alternative, he proposed that he be fined one mina of silver (according to him, all he had). The jurors declined his offer and ordered the death penalty.

Plato's Apology starts with Socrates answering the various rumours against him that have given rise to the indictment. First, Socrates defends himself against the rumour that he is an atheist naturalist philosopher, as portrayed in Aristophanes's The Clouds; or a sophist. Against the allegations of corrupting the youth, Socrates answers that he has never corrupted anyone intentionally, since corrupting someone would carry the risk of being corrupted back in return, and that would be illogical, since corruption is undesirable. On the second charge, Socrates asks for clarification. Meletus responds by repeating the accusation that Socrates is an atheist. Socrates notes the contradiction between atheism and worshipping false gods. He then claims that he is "God's gift" to the Athenians, since his activities ultimately benefit Athens; thus, in condemning him to death, Athens itself will be the greatest loser. After that, he says that even though no human can reach wisdom, seeking it is the best thing someone can do, implying money and prestige are not as precious as commonly thought.

Socrates was given the chance to offer alternative punishments for himself after being found guilty. He could have requested permission to flee Athens and live in exile, but he did not do so. According to Xenophon, Socrates made no proposals, while according to Plato he suggested free meals should be provided for him daily in recognition of his worth to Athens or, more in earnest, that a fine should be imposed on him. The jurors favoured the death penalty by making him drink a cup of hemlock (a poisonous liquid). In return, Socrates warned jurors and Athenians that criticism of them by his many disciples was inescapable, unless they became good men. Constitutional Specificity:

trump v. Anderson, No. 23-719, 601 U.S. _ (2024), is a U.S. Supreme Court case in which the Court unanimously held that states could not determine eligibility for federal office, including the presidency, under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. In December 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court rejected former president Donald Trump's presidential eligibility on the basis of his actions during the January 6 Capitol attack, adhering to the Fourteenth Amendment disqualification theory. Mayorkas was impeached in a second vote on February 13, on a 214–213 vote, with three House Republicans voting "no".

Article 1 of the impeachment alleges that Mayorkas "willfully and systematically refused to comply with Federal immigration laws". The article focuses on the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. The act requires that migrants be detained while waiting for an Asylum decision.

This is the Crime Syndicates trophy case shown in the Justice League crisis on infinite earth's part one film 2023. We can match certain trophies to certain characters to see who they've beaten in their past. The head as stated in the film belongs to Alexander Luther.

The trident and prosthetic hand both belonged to Sea King Aquaman's earth 3 counterpart.

The staff appears to be Tim Drake's counterpart which may mean Owlen had to kill his Talon.

The Katana looks like it belongs to Katanna's counterpart.

The mace looks like it belongs to Hawkman's counterpart.

The large mechanical appendage looks like it belonged to Grid the Earth 3 counterpart to Cyborg.

The bow and quiver look like they belong to the Blue Bowman who is Green Arrows counterpart.

The sword with the circular end looks like it belongs to Ra's Al Ghul Earth 3 counterpart.

The throwing knives look like they may belong to a Talon from the Court of Owls, but I am not certain on this one.

The book may be the Crime Bible which would he appropriate for Earth 3, but I am uncertain on.

Actually I lied I’m just gonna do separate posts cause I’m impatient, one composite one now and then the rest (including the normal form ref, Traitor Magolor/EX, hopefully Epilogue final boss fight and maaaaaybe Manager/Shoppekeeper Magolor) later when they’re done, which will be after the legs are all finished. Anyway here’s Magolor

Now, you may be thinking: “Hey Kit, did you make our catboy a bird?” To which I say, “Read my 1.8k word essay from last week.” Albeit I don’t think canon Magolor is an actual Doomer, I just thought it would be fun; plays nicely with the wings + talons imagery of the crown, and I wasn’t sure about giving him full-on cat ears anyway (Also. Egg). I’m also weirdly committed to both staying relatively on-model and having fairly realistic continuity and am proud of how well I managed to do on those with stuff like the sleeves having the same markings as the ears of the hood so they can stand in for them in 2nd phase after the cloak gets its closure broken and falls off. Also btw the leg prosthetics (I commissioned a friend who draws mecha to design better ones than I could lol) are held together & operated by magic that Mags is always running in the background so they fall apart in 2nd phase once he’s no longer controlling his own magic. Ok that’s probably enough non-tag rambling; hasta luego!

In the interlude between the meal and the fashion show, we had many illustrators and vendors showing off their beautiful work, among them was Fredja, our local beloved shoe brand, Puppets, headliner for the fashion show with her new collection and beautiful Saku, whose art is one of my favorites.

I have to admit I was disappointed in the changes in schedule, since I was on for both the runway and the best coord pageant and my halo didn’t allow removal but I tried to make it work as best I could. The runway featured looks by local brands, Atelier Dulcinea, Puppets, Enchanted, Teodora, Pinkutomidori, Mandy Black and Bara no Yami, with varied and interesting looks featuring sweet, classic and gothic inspiration and their own distinctive style represented by the many volunteer models at the event.

The president must "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." According to former United States Assistant Attorney General Walter E.
