you ever think about how fucked up it is that shen qingqiu's first mission out of sect was him subduing the skinner, a demon who targeted and replaced people no one would really miss?
very fun how the skinner ended up getting killed and destroyed by someone else who took the place of a person no one really missed

I just did some allergy test kits and they have you collect your own blood so they can analyze what antibodies are reacting to what proteins and stuff and so they give you a lancet and a little blood wand kind of like for checking blood sugar I guess but I think they need more blood for this. anyway. it took a long time bc I had two tests which meant I had to stab myself three times to get enough blood (almost 4 but made it in just under the. blood wire) anyway the amount of blood you need is a little bit ridiculous and does not easily come out of one little pinprick fingertip stab so you have to like, stand up and hold your finger below your heart pointing down, swing your arm around in big circles, massage your hand and finger to encourage the bloods to go toward the wound, etc etc, so get enough blood and readers. I was doing the most ridiculous fucking Blood Summoning Dance in my bedroom at four am. can I just say. hopping around swinging/shaking my arm, chanting "come on blood come on blood you can do it COOOME ONNNNN just a little more blood yessssss...." like some sort of Dracula. my dog wanted to help SO BAD she had NO IDEA what I was doing but she was DETERMINED to by my assistant
then afterwards I had the following conversation with myself
me: ok so I should throw away this last lancet I didn't use
me: why
me: what do you mean why
me: we should keep it. for just in case
me: just in case of what????
me: just in case we need a sterile method of extracting up to ten large drops of our own blood at some point in the future.
