I was thinking about the scenes that could have happened between dark Rey and Kylo. Those scenes could have been vital to his conclusion to turn to the light side. From Kylo's POV he had been wanting Rey to turn to the dark side so they can rule together. But he had also been truly connecting with Rey as she was and her approach to the light and dark conflict. He had been charging at he with questions the same way she did and you can see him introspect the answers. It might have been a new experience for him to have someone who is not Snoke or Palpatine be in his head.

So having that history, if he had met dark Rey. I personally believe that his expectations would have fallen short. He would not have felt her concern and genuine care for him like Rey does and from the brief screen time we got with dark Rey, she looks like a replica of Palpatine. So if he had ever witnessed her, he would have turned to the light side without hesitation or a question in his mind, cause the Rey he was talking to in the Hut was the real one. This is what Rey understands early on, when she sees him and wants him to be Ben.

Here it is! The 11th and FINAL chapter of "The Light to My Darkness". Thank you all for this journey, this is my first completely Reylo fic, please enjoy this little bit of angst with a nice fluffy happy ending for our disaster babies.

Rey is reaching the end of her pregnancy and negotiations are still underway with the Resistance. So far, things have gotten off to a bad start. Kylo is forced to help her face some old feelings that have been haunting her while he must also find common ground with the very people that were once his "family". Will the two sides come together and find peace? He is determined to make it happen for the sake of their younglings so they can all have a happy life.
