Percy didn't know children of Athena could have belly buttons

“You have a belly button?” He asked, frowning.

“Yeah, so does everyone else.”

Percy opened the door to his cabin, fully intending on collapsing in the nearest bed and sleeping for the next 37 hours. The most recent game of capture the flag had been violent, spanning for hours on end. By the end of it, he was so worn out he didn't care that they lost, as long as he could finally sleep.

Percy striped off his sweaty and torn up camp tee-shirt. He tossed it on top of his overflowing trunk along with the rest of his sweaty ripped clothing.

Seriously, he needed to do his laundry.

Sleep first.

Just as he was undoing his belt, he heard a soft snort from deeper in the room. Looking up, he realized that Annabeth was spread out across his bunk, watching him undress.

“Hey,” he raised his right eyebrow(the left one never raised on its own, what's up with that?)

“Hey yourself,” she gave him a lazy once-over through heavy lidded eyes. “Keep going, don't let me interrupt you.”

Percy grinned at his girlfriend, a bit of his fatigue fading. “You just like looking at my butt.”

“You know it.” She continued watching him with her all-consuming eyes as he changed into grey sweatpants. He lay down beside her, nuzzling her shoulder.

“You could get in trouble for being in here,” he mumbled.

“It's worth it,” Annabeth played with his hair, falling into a comfortable pattern that began to lull him to sleep. What woke him up again was his girlfriend kissing down his neck, focusing on a certain point on his collarbone.

“Can I help you?” Percy joked, opening his eyes. Annabeth looked up at him, grinning.

“Possibly. Can you stay awake?”

“Definitely,” Percy sat up, his girlfriend crawling into his lap and capturing his lips in a languid kiss. One hand rested on her hip, the other getting tangled in her mess of curly blonde hair. Her preferred tip color of the month was a deep, forest green, and the ends were starting to split after being bleached and dyed so many times over.

He loved it.

Percy sucked a mark just below Annabeth's ear, blowing cold air to soothe the bruise.

“Ass,” she muttered, no malice behind her tone.

“Just payback,” he pulled away, smiling smugly.

“Shut up and kiss me,” Annabeth bit Percy's lower lip, tugging a soft sigh from him.

Percy's hands traveled up her abdomen, lifting her shirt up and over her head. Her green sports bra matched the tips of her hair, causing him to smile.

“What?” She asked breathlessly.

“Nothing, I love you.” He leaned forward, laying his girlfriend back on the bed. He kissed the groove between her breasts before pulling at the skin with his teeth while his fingers teased the waistband of her joggers. As he moved down her chest, he stopped, startled.

“Why'd you stop?” Annabeth whined, tugging at his hair. Percy's fingers traced “You have a belly button?” He asked, frowning.

“Yeah, so does everyone else.” Annabeth sat up, furrowing her brows. “Are they a turn-off for you or something?”

Percy looked down at his girlfriend, confused. “No, I just don't understand how you have a belly button. Children of Athena are born from her mind, right? So how would there be a need for a belly button?”

Annabeth frowned, obviously straining to come up with a decent answer. “I—maybe the umbilical cord is attached to her brain and that's how the baby grows?” She suggested, flexing her toes.

“Wouldn't Athena's head swell up and go all Megamind, then?”

Annabeth huffed, frustrated. “For Hades’ sake, Percy; I don't know! They are Greek gods, it doesn't have to make sense.”

“Huh,” Percy shrugged, not quite ready to let the subject go, but wanting to move on for his girlfriend's sake. “Can I go down on you today?”

“Please,”

Percy slammed the Big House’s front door open, interrupting Mr D and Grover’s game of pinochle. “Chiron!” He called out, eyes wide.

Chiron looked up from his Pony Vogue magazine, pushing his glasses up. He was in his human form, clad in a tweed blazer and a plaid blanket covering his lap. “Good morning, Percy. What can I do for you?”
