Last Line Tag!

Ooooh, it's been forever since I last played this game - thanks Annie (@udaberriwrites) for tagging me! Even better, I have something unexpected as my most recently worked on fic- the second chapter of Flora Fati, Mimulus Guttatus! It's been way too long since I first posted that, but I also figured out quite a few things... including a certain Fae thing XD

The full moon cast a bright aura about the otherwise dark and cool forest. Golden moonrays pierced the forest canopy to strike at towering stone columns surrounding a large open-air bath. Wrought iron floor torches cast a soft, orange glow about the night air and warm white marble lined the bath, descending into a vacant pool. Tendrils of sweet herbal-scented steam rose from its surface, inviting Beau into its embrace.

Lured in by the comforting blend of sweet basil, eucalyptus, and lavender, Beau let his sheer white robe slip fluidly to the floor and sauntered forward, soon descending into the fragrant pool. Beau closed his eyes, letting himself savor the warm waters when a trace of sensual spice weaved through the sweet space.

‘The moonlight truly enhances your beauty, passerculum.’

The heat of deeply-rooted desire set aflame by those deep tones burned him through.

A desire for sangria eyes and soft words, for cool lips and deft hands caressing him.

A desire that overtook his every waking moment and had him chasing the nights.

Finally, months later, I have a new entry for A Series in Hands!

This entry is pretty special, since it is my first go at writing from Winter Light Carlisle's perspective. Also, this fic takes place in Apricity's near future, starting right after the Seattle trip and continuing on through the summer, several months later.

Woohoo! Here's another AU entry for my Winter Light Verse!

This was one of two fics I wrote for the AU exchange! Beyond that, I wrote for my friend Annie (@udaberriwrites)! She's always been very supportive and enthusiastic about the Verse! I was very lucky to be able to write my world and rarepair for the AU exchange, for her!

This idea's kind of interesting - see, I was originally considering this concept for Apricity, but eventually decided against it for other plot and theme reasons. Then Annie told me that she loves time travel AUs, we entered and got matched on the exchange, and I was given an amazing opportunity to revisit my original idea! If you are familiar with Apricity and the Verse, you'll likely recognize some similarities!

You can think of it as an alternate version of Apricity with time travel!

So... I've decided to try my hand at Kinktober. I know I had earlier plans, including an earlier list of kinks/prompts, but I think I want to save that for another, more fleshed-out series of one-shots.

This time, I just want to try and commit myself to 100-300 words a day, since it'll be my first time trying my hand at an event month. I won't be surprised if I fall behind, but I'll try to see it to the end ^_^

I already went through the official Kinktober prompt list, and I was able to pick a prompt from the set of three for most days, though for some days, none of them vibed. I went back through other Kinktober prompt lists to pick something that vibed, or took a prompt from a day that had two prompts I liked, to fill out the rest of the days.

And yeah, for simplicity, I'm sticking to my Winter Light Verse and primary Beaulisle ship, but maybe I'll branch out in future events.

No promises, but I will do my best and at least finish, even if late XD

Heyo y'all! I finally got around to creating this master list!

I'm on AO3 as Mizuka, and am the author of the Winter Light Verse.

Long story short, I had a worldbuilding concept, ended up with the Twilight/Life and Death fandom combo, threw out 98% of canon, and started a rewrite from scratch with totally different lore, history, vampire biology/society, and plot altogether. All while going full gay.

So the other day... We were talking about birthdays with relatives/friends in different time zones, and how that allows for a 36-48 hour birthday celebration. Specifically, you mentioned that your family contacts you when it's "technically still April 30th"...

This means it's already May 1st for them... And it's May 1st for me now. So... By the powers of extrapolation and jumping to wild conclusions, I'm deducing that today (well, your tomorrow) might be your birthday.

If that's the case my lovely friend, I just wanted to wish you the happiest of birthdays. You are amazingly talent, dedicated and committed, and even if I'm not sure when you find time to sleep, I'm in awe of how much you juggle with life.

You deserve all the wonderfulness from your days, and I hope the year brings you nothing but good things, and lots of Beaulisle inspiration!

Heyo Miranda! You would be correct! Today is 'still' April 30th for me (though I have under two hours left) and tomorrow is my birthday!

Thanks so much for the lovely wishes! Though... I too wonder just how my sleep cycle even functions at this point! It's a wild card!

I'm definitely excited for the year and writing ahead of me, but the past year has been extremely special to me. You see, at this time last year, I didn't even remember that Apricity was a thing. I gave up on it and had left in the past. I'd gone back into lurker mode and... well, in the last 12 months... well, 9 months, I went from near-zero lurker status to where I am now, having met so many new people like you! I'm very grateful for the past year and look forward to the next!
