i swear they used to have pages on the american wc wiki, since that's where i got the prefix bat for one of my ocs. as it stands, i got my info for them by google translating a dif wiki page lmao.

i've decided they're divorced, cause that's an extremely funny dynamic for df cats to have, and anyway, they're barely cannon as is. basically ocs to me <33. i do wish they still had pages on the american wiki tho, i mean, there's some other Su cats that still have one

anyway, i did one design for Batear based on Bunnicula. i realized he looked sprt of bunnyish, and with the bat prefix it was the perfect opportunity <33

More Su Susann cats. I guess technically Oliver (and maybe Willownose, Applefrost, and Shyheart?) aren't Su Susann cats perse, but they gotta be drawn sometime. So, here we have Willownose, Applefrost, and Shyheart, Reedshine and Appledusk's kits, Fenneldust and Batear, two Dark Forest cats, and Shinecloud, reportedly Frecklewish and Birchface's mom who died falling out of a tree. I wanted her to look a lot like Frecklewish, but distinctly not her at the same time. After them are Filou, Tommy, and Luna, Firestar and Princess's siblings, and Oliver and Mocha. Oliver is Cloudtail's dad, and Mocha is Jake's. Then is Taylor, Nami, Livy, and Zack, Cloudtail's siblings. Supposedly. I don't really want to hash out how canon any of these cats are :(

Story: 

Batpaw always believed himself to be the prettiest cat within the Clan, grooming himself near constantly.

Violetpaw didn’t think the same way. She would call him vain and make fun of his obsession with his beauty. Batpaw hated it, he hated it the most out of anything he’d ever hated, and he hated a lot of things.

One day, when near the gorge, Batpaw and Violetpaw found themselves alone, and Violetpaw decided to play up the teasing, not noticing when Batpaw reared on her lividly, and headbutted her off the cliff. Batpaw watched her body hit a rock and with a sickening crack, go limp. He couldn’t care less, the thing he hated most was finally gone. He groomed himself and carried on with his life, pretending that he had no clue what had happened to Violetpaw.

Life continued on, and eventually he was named Batear, and given his apprentice, Silverpaw. Silverpaw was a rude little scrap. He reminded Batear of Violetpaw. Batear retaliated in his own way, making snide comments about his fur and "how matted it is" or how annoying his meow was. Silverpaw hated Batear, and Batear hated Silverpaw.

They continued on for a while, Batear neglected to teach Silverpaw how to properly hunt or fight, resulting in his apprenticeship being dragged out an unfairly long time. During this time, he met Dirtface, a meek tom with a tendency to overpraise the ones he loved. 

Batear loved the attention Dirtface gave him, and Dirtface was too blind to see Batear didn’t truly love him. So whilst Silverpaw and Batear fought and scrapped like unruly kits, Dirtface and Batear pretended to be a perfect couple as per Batear’s demands.

It had been too long since Silverpaw was named an apprentice, and he was tired of it, he knew there was only one way to receive his warrior name, and by Starclan he would do it. 

As he went out on patrol with Batear, he lead him unknowingly to his demise.

Batear stopped to groom his tail, and whilst he was distracted, Silverpaw pushed him into an abandoned fox den and blocked the entrance. Batear clawed the stone that trapped him, before he heard a hiss and felt a sharp sting in one of his legs. He cursed his apprentice out one last time, and as he went into shock, he thought of his be-hated sister, and hoped he wouldn’t see her in Starclan.

When he was judged, and sentenced to roam the Dark Forest, he let out a yowl, and refused to co-operate, so the Starclan cats cursed him, and as he was shoved over the border, he yelped as his body began to contort and mutilate itself. 

His tail ripped itself apart and hastily was melded together again as it reformed into a snake, his jaw twisted and was wrenched apart to make room for his new twisted gnarled teeth. His fur fell out and his paws turned into horrid claws. Batear cried when he saw himself in the deep lake, and ran away from all the other cats, vowing an afterlife of solitude and useless attempts to groom his matted pelt.

How did palefoot make it to Starclan, I thought you needed a proper burial in order to get a fetcher? Especially since his body was hidden. Did he just happen to get lucky and they found him before he got his spirit trapped in the dark forest?

Also, him then becoming the patron of finding bodies is a bit funny, like a car crash victim becoming the patron of surviving car crashes. Then again, you can't really complain about getting prayers I guess.

Nope, BB!Cats don't need a proper burial to get to StarClan! It's just extremely disrespectful from the living, and denies the family a chance to grieve since they can't sit vigil and share tongues with their loved one. It's a deeply malicious mortal action.

Also LMAO yeah Clan cats are brutal with their ironic patrons. They love it. It's exactly like how Catholic saints become the patrons of things related to their insane deaths or just straightup insults. Like Saint Elmo who is the patron of tummy aches because they gutted him like a fish. Or how Saint Drogo who was allegedly so ugly he is now the patron saint of the unattractive (and also coffee).

Quick dribble on Fetchers;

Their basics are covered over in StarClan 101

Fetchers can be anyone. They're usually a family member, or a guardian angel, but there's no hard rules with Forest Four.

SkyClan DOES have a hard rule; Cloudstar is the "Grim Reaper" for SkyClan, in what he feels is repentance for his time as the Rat Leader. He is their only Fetcher.

They have to come down and find your spirit. Some Fetchers are better at this-- just because they have a better sense of when death is near, or they were nearby, or they were fast, or you invoked them shortly before the death, etc.

It's possible to run away from your Fetcher if you want, or hide.

BUT, Dark Forest cats can ALSO Fetch you.

In the case of cursed bloodlines like the Appledusk Lineage, very strong fetchers are sent who can fight the rival demon effectively.

Flametail was immediately dragged down to the Dark Forest because of this. That wasn't an accident; they killed him and then kidnapped his soul.

RiverClan cats believe that if your Fetcher doesn't come for you, Ripwater will find you first and bring you to the Dark Forest.

You NEED a Fetcher to get to StarClan. If you are a spirit who looks for StarClan on your own, you will find the Meadow of Young Stars first, and then the Dark Forest.

When you die, you usually get "knocked out." Your Fetcher can bring you to StarClan while you're still asleep, making it seem like you "woke up in Silverpelt"

However it IS possible to die awake. You will suddenly not feel the pain of your injury. It's extremely alarming.

So, Palefoot was able to get to StarClan. It actually did take the Fetchers a while to find him though. He was killed and buried very quickly, and it took him a while to wake up and realize he'd been shoved in a bog. He didn't realize he was dead at first, he thought he'd just been beaten up and thrown in the mud.

He wasn't really taking it in that he was kinda numb, and in spite of being in the autumn bog for a while, he wasn't cold. It wasn't until he got back to the camp that he realized no one was responding to him, and then it hit him that he didn't need to breathe anymore.

(I like to keep the rules 'loose' for situations like that, lmao)
