happy Wind release day! here's my Frostpaw pmv!

so this was defiantly inspired by another pmv (that i'll link under the cut) with the same song. it's one i used to watch years ago, and rewatching it, i realized In Fact worked perfectly for Frostpaw!

for something so seemingly straight forward, this pmv kicked my ass lmao. i had to redo multiple frames, the colors kept turning out wrong, i even had to download a new editing program hjhghjk. i'ts finally done tho! and even tho the quality is off on my laptop, i simply can not mess w it anymore lol.

anyway, i'm really glad i was able to finish it before the release of Wind today! i loved Thunder, so it was def fun to do a pmv basically for that book. assuming the erins don't flub the ending, i think asc might be my favorite arc ngl. shout out to Frostpaw fr, girl has been going through it since day 1

characters in order of appearance: Frostpaw, Curlfeather, Splashtail, Whistlepaw, Nightheart, Riverstar, Reedwhisker,

also, the feathers are supposed to represent Jayclaw, Curlfeather, and Owlnose!

Goldenflower

a Goldenflower that isn't big and bulky is like an angel without it's wings <33

anyway, her shpae was pretty easy, but yellow cats will be the death of me. trying to find any colors that look remotely correct is an absolute nightmare. i like this one, but it's probably gonna look too much like Mothwing. ig i'll cross that bridge when i come to it lol

Sunstrike

i was heavily inspired by keblestone and costalracoons designs for her! i mean seriously, they're just so so pretty!

i love Sunstrike. she's just got a fun name n design! i wish we'd gotten to see more of her! relationships between the df trainee's was criminally unexplored.

Ivypool thinks it's a shame she's in the df since she seems so nice. after that Sunstrike dies in the great battle. i wonder what she though was going on or what her motivations were. i like to think she was mostly there to make friends lol.

anyway, this cat is definitely a lesbian i really can't imagine her not being one. cannon to me

she's from the young generation of shadowclan in oots that basically got wiped out. it's a shame too, i would've like having those guys around tbh.

olive was actually one of the cats on the ice when Flametail died. that's def gotta be rough.

i think i'm gonna hc Pinenose as her sister. i think it'd be funny with them having the same suffix

Larkwing

she takes after her mom Sedgewhisker :]

kind of wild that she trained in the df. two of her aunts died in the great battle, and not to mention Antpelt's death, and the fact one of said aunts was close to Antpelt. litterally what a time to be a windclan cat

in Crowfeather's trial, her parents glare at her, but she's seen working with her grandma Gorsetail a few times. Gorse doesn't like the df trainees, so i wonder what they're relationship was like. she was still an apprentice in the last hope, so she would have been made a warrior right after. so she's was pretty young for all that. it's a shame we'll never get to know more about her family's dynamic

i appreciate that she has no cannon mate. she's doing her part to not have so much inbreeding in the clans 💪💪. i like to think they're from a half clan relationship, cause i'm a sucker for anyone in Gorsetail's linage having one.

Kestrelflight

i know he's supposed to have white spots, but i wanted him to look like a kestrel, so he has black spots now. his flowers are Lungworts, since that's the plant Puddleshine needed from windclan in avos.

i'm glad he's finally got an apprentice, although him pulling a Barknose would have been funny. anyway, him and Willowshine were mlm wlw solidarity <33

Jayfeather

taking a quick break from request cats, surprisingly to do a main character. i just got an idea for a Jayfeather design based on a Steller's jay and wanted to try it. i figure i can tweak or redo this design later if i want to.

overall i think it's pretty good! he has a dandelion for Lionblaze and a holly for Hollyleaf.

i don't really have any strong feelings on Jayfeather tbh. i hate jayhalf though. cause like, the reincarnation plot is dumb, and i don't care what the Erins say, Half Moon was in love with Jay's Wing, not Jayfeather. personally, i would like to know more about Jay's wing outside of Jayfeather possessing him y'know?

Mistpaw and Graypaw

i feel like when it comes to siblings of protags, their dynamic is either a main focal point, or the books forget the siblings even exist. Mistpaw and Graypaw fall into the latter category lol.

the bit in the first asc book, when they Cuddle Frostpaw after their mom's death was cute, but they haven't done much since. i really feel for them though. they're also going through a lot.

also, given Curlfeather's scheming, it is absolutely hilarious that she has a kid called Mistpaw. i wonder how intentional that was. if she gets named Mistfoot i'm gonna lose my shit

for Mistpaw, i was originally gonna make her more of a tortie, but the calico look ended up really cute. she's also probably the biggest of the siblings, and the only one w coloring from her mom.

Graypaw gets more of his shape from Curl, and some of his light markings match hers (i'm gonna be basing her off a shiba inu). his flower is a pink carnation, which according to my very brief google search, means mother's love.

both of them (and Frostpaw) get the curly tail from their mom lol. under the cut is them + my wip Frostpaw design. i think they at least somewhat look like siblings. i hope it came across

Batear and Fenneldust

i swear they used to have pages on the american wc wiki, since that's where i got the prefix bat for one of my ocs. as it stands, i got my info for them by google translating a dif wiki page lmao.

i've decided they're divorced, cause that's an extremely funny dynamic for df cats to have, and anyway, they're barely cannon as is. basically ocs to me <33. i do wish they still had pages on the american wiki tho, i mean, there's some other Su cats that still have one

anyway, i did one design for Batear based on Bunnicula. i realized he looked sprt of bunnyish, and with the bat prefix it was the perfect opportunity <33
