ooooh okay I've just realized why I simply don't fully vibe with a lot of the evil paths I've been seeing and it's not because I'm utterly incapable of being evil or that I think there's something wrong with doing an evil playthrough

Gale gets off on roleplay. That librarian’s room in Sharess’ Caress awoke something in him, he loves when you play the stern authoritarian punishing him for “taking restricted texts out without permission”…

When you refer to Wyll by one of his titles, he cums embarrassingly fast. Whether it’s a “oh, take me, Duke Ravengard…” or a “I’m at the mercy of the blade of Avernus” it is a sure fire way to get him to finish. He just loves to hear how it sounds from your mouth.

Why would Shadowheart have her hair up in that braid unless she likes it being pulled? She’s in front of you on all fours, hands gripping her bedroll and gasping as you fuck into her - then you grab onto her ponytail and tug. She moans so loudly it wakes up the whole camp.

Karlach is very easily overstimulated and loves it. Bring her to the edge over and over and let her slide back and she becomes a blubbering mess beneath your touch, just begging you to let her cum. This huge barbarian becomes putty in your hands in minutes…

Astarion likes to fuck you in front of mirrors. He has no reflection but it gets him off making you watch what he’s doing to you, the way you stretch open for him, having your sex react so enthusiastically. It takes about three seconds of convincing to get Lae’zel to wear a strap. At first she’s a bit standoffish because she is perfectly capable of getting you off without one, but then you say you want her thrusting into you until you see stars - and she agrees because it makes you ever so obedient to her.

Halsin is a druid and that makes him more in touch with nature. Therefore he has a knot and no I will not be taking questions on this. He only gets you to take it when he’s sure your body is able to handle it, but loves nothing more than filling you with his seed and knotting to keep it inside of you 💕

Absolutely. I'll assume you mean CRPGs and not RPGs in general.

Computer Roleplaying Games (CRPGs) refers to a style and genre of game that BG3 follows. Some have started calling CRPGs "Classic RPGs" instead. CRPGs are typically identified by an isometric, top down view style, a heavy focus on story and exploration.

I'm going to split my list it three main categories based on accessibility factors. These factors include the amount of reading involved, the depth of mechanics and the level of abstraction/math required.

Easy Entry Level

Baldur's Gate 3 - 2023 - Larian Studios. The current gold star for easy entry CRPGs. Exceptional graphics, every character voice acted, very little reading and fairly straightforward mechanics and concepts.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 DE- 2017 - Larian Studios. This is basically a less polished, more complex version of BG3 and made by the same studio.

Disco Elysium, Final Cut - 2019 - ZA/UM. Disco Elysium is a detective/social focus game that dives into heavy narrative concepts. Failing rolls is just as viable for the story as succeeding them, making the game's mechanics take a backseat to story. However, there is a lot of reading and that may be a barrier to entry.

Tyranny - 2016 - Obsidian Entertainment. A game about being evil, it's mechanically pretty simple, but there's a fair bit of jank due to it's low budget, and the game ends on a cliffhanger, but it's story is very solid.

Mid Entry Level

Wasteland 3 - 2020 - inExile Entertainment. The long awaited third installment of the Wasteland franchise and significantly less complex than its predecessors. Post apocalyptic, frozen Colorado, grim reality and goofy ideas. This is the franchise that originally inspired Fallout.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall DC/ Shadowrun: Hong Kong EE - 2014/2015 - Harebrained Schemes. Set in the Fantasy/Cyberpunk hybrid setting of Shadowrun. Fair bit of reading, but the game's mechanics are relatively easy to grasp and don't require a lot of math. Always play Dragonfall before Hong Kong.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - 2018 - Obsidian Entertainment. A unique setting, exploring a fictional parallel to the age of piracy. Very wordy (but a lot is voice acted), with a lot of world building, but well worth engaging with. The first game, Pillars of Eternity, is less accessible, but still good.

Kingmaker/Wrath of the Righteous/Rogue Trader - 2020/2022/2023 - Owlcat Games. Owlcat adapts existing systems into CRPGs, like how BG3 is an adaption of DnD 5e. Do not be fooled, these games are where you start hitting a lot of complexity, a lot of math and a lot potential to damage your playthroughs by accident. This is where things start to get difficult.

Difficult Entry Level

Baldur's Gate 1/2 - Bioware - 1998/2000. The prequels to BG3, these games use an older, much more complex version of DnD's rules. Be prepared for a lot of reading and complex mechanics, but you'll be rewarded with some amazing storytelling.

Planescape Torment - Interplay - 1999. Another game using DnD's older mechanics, Planescape is a completely different beast from BG3. Many consider this series mechanically inferior to the Baldur's Gate franchise, but with better storytelling and world building to compensate.

Fallout 1/2 - 1997/1998 - Interplay/Black Isle. One of the most widely known game franchises started as an isometric CRPG. Universally considered more complex, rewarding and deeper than the Bethesda portion of the franchise, you'll need some experience to get into them, but you'll be happy you did.

Hiya! My name is Mud or Muddy, I’m 26, transmasc and go by he/him pronouns. I’ve been roleplaying for the past 15+ years as well as delving into TTRPG in the past 7+ years.

I’m looking for RP buddies to roleplay some Baldur’s Gate 3 with! Can be one-on-one or group RP, I don’t mind, but must be 18+. While I roleplay in a semi-lit to lit style (often three or more paragraphs) I don’t expect my fellow roleplayer/s to always be able to follow that, what I do ask is that you give me enough to reply to! c:I live in Western Australia so bear that in mind when anticipating responses, while I AM a bit of a gremlin and up at all odd hours, I do sometimes sleep ^^

I do tend to enjoy equal amounts of romance, adventure, angst, fluff, comedy and hurt/comfort in my roleplays (sometimes a bit of horror and/or thriller too!) and am open to NSFW and SFW. I’m also open to any combination of pairing (eg. m x f, m x m, f x f, any x any) and am happy to do Canon x OC, OC x OC or Canon x Canon. On top of that I’m also super soft for the found family trope so I really enjoy strong friendships and familial bonds just as much as romance.

Just as an addition to the above paragraph, I am on the ace spectrum so while I am perfectly comfortable with and open to NSFW, I don’t want it to be in every scene. I’ve had roleplays like that in the past where the other person wanted to add a *lot* of spice in nearly *every* scene and it burnt me out pretty quick and made me a little uncomfortable at times.

My favourite characters are Astarion, Karlach, Halsin, Wyll and Jaheira with a big emphasis on both Astarion and Karlach. Preferably I would like to roleplay something Astarion-centric at the moment, but I am open to other characters as well! My preferred method of roleplaying is via Discord but I can also RP here on Tumblr if you wish.

I have completed the playthrough with the House Baenre Retrainer who was sent after Minthara by Minthara's mother.

It was an unusual experience as Baldur's Gate 3 playthroughs go.

For the start, I had a proper background story for a Lolth-Drow. And, given that BG3 is first of all a roleplaying game, putting more thought into your Tav seriously improves your gaming experience.

Playing a classical rouge was a lot of fun in Act 1: selfish, greedy, cunning, ruthless, but not malicious or ambitious. I took her as a faithful follower of Lolth, but not very religious; certainly no fanatic.

Things got a bit more problematic in Acts 2 and 3 because playing the "dark side path" means basically skipping most of the side content. These parts are not even half as polished as Act 1. In Act 3, I had cut myself out of nearly all sidequests that way.

In Act 3, we anyways entertained Minthara's prefernces, such as allying ourselves with Gortash and going after Orin, Yenna be dammed.

I tried to use Minthara in the dialogue with Gortash where we become allies, but agreeing to his proposal made her an "oathbreaker" instantaneously.

Besides Minthara, the only companion I kept around was Shadowheart, but only for her special content. Most of the time, I had two of Withers's mercenaries, modded to be drow: an ice-mage and necromancer (she was actually supposed to be man, but the one thing that I could not change was the voice), and a bard and sharpshooter.

All three proper Menzoberranzan drow with lower-class backgrounds and in exotic outfits.

Playing this game without proper companions is an interesting change. It's certainly not "proper BG3", but also somewhat less stressful and much faster. You should give it a try.

On the downside, I had some issues with the way how BG3 handles XP and the lack of level-scaling. Most XP is awarded in encounters, not on game-progession. As a result of the above problem that a lot of encounters in Act 2, and most of Act 3, are only accessible through the "light side path", I was seriously behind in terms of level in the late game:

I entered Act 3 on level 8 (usual 10) and reached level 12 literally in the last battle.

From a headcanon/roleplaying aspect, I wasn't all too happy with the way a romanced Minthara talked with Jezzara. Even when lying together, the enormous difference in status (Minthara is royalty, Jezzara a thug from the gutters of Menzoberranzan) should be reflected in their way of talking. Even in bed, Jezzara would address Minthara with something like Ilharess, or any other drow equivalent for "my lady".

But that's just headcanon.

Oh yes, and I accidentally made the Emperor the Absolut because I misinterpreted the last dialogue option.

ETA: It was brought to my attention by a few very lovely folks that I wasn’t entirely clear about a key point in this post. So before you go any further, allow me to eliminate any confusion about that: I only became aware of Sam’s behaviour after terminating my friendship with her. Much of this comes from deep dives into tags and from google, based on the usernames provided in her previous callout. If you have any other questions or experiences with Sam, you are welcome to reach out to me.

I wasn’t going to do this. It’s the holiday season, and I have limited energy stores, but if I am going to be stalked and gaslit to this extent solely for putting up a boundary? I may as well get a swing in. Because this is what I’m dealing with, and have dealt with, when I simply tried to part on amicable terms:

The person behind this behavior is breadandbloodybutter — otherwise known as Gig, otherwise known as Samantha — and they have years of extremely dubious behaviour, but they tend to delete their accounts and remake them often so that much of it gets expunged from tumblr and doesn’t follow them. But if you dig deep enough into the archives, you can find hints of what was there.

Sam enjoys writing as or with villains, which is not intrinsically a problem in and of itself. The actual problem? Is that Sam writes writes some extremely questionable roleplay content that should be trigger warned at absolute minimum because it is full of noncon, dubcon, graphic torture, multiple forms of abuse, grooming, murder, cannibalism, and other deeply concerning topics. She has even cosplayed as a murdered kid. There were some hints that I could not fully corroborate — because like I said, so much of her past history is repeatedly deleted that it exists in fragments — but there are implications that some of these topics may have been written with minors. Given the fandoms Sam is in besides Baldur’s Gate tend to be skewed towards a teen to young adult demographic (Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss, FNAF, Stephen King’s It, Yugioh, Dragonball), that is not surprising.

But weren’t you and Sam friends? We were. Until Sam used one of her many accounts to share posts about how crushing tracheas under a boot heel and fucking people with loaded guns was sexy (I cannot believe I just typed this out, oof.) As an Indigenous person who has survived extreme violence towards my person that has nearly taken my life, and having seen how it has generationally impacted the people around me, I decided to use this incident as an opportunity to inform everyone who follows me that I did not want to see that sort of violent fetishization on my dash. They can totally post it — especially if you have characters into wackass shit — but please make sure it is tagged adequately and liberally so that people who have gone through similar traumas and know their limits don’t run the risk of being triggered randomly on a Tuesday at 1pm when they’re just trying to enjoy their day.

Sam reached out to me and tagged her posts and I thought we had solved this. Apparently we hadn’t, because Sam was running her mouth not only to other people about this, but on her personal where she was making herself a victim. While missing the point and also telling way too much on herself, because I never once said she was a shitty person. What I was talking about, is how posts like those do not exist in a vacuum. If you can have the privilege to say “oh, this is entirely fictional,” then you live in a world where your body has not become sexualized or a vehicle for violence solely by existing. This is what was being said to me:

This post, made yesterday, came a whole three minutes after I finally broke my silence and pointed out that befriending racists who explicitly hated us was an even worse look than whatever it was that was preceding it. Because guess what Sam has done now. But that’s jumping ahead a bit, I think. Because I did give Sam another chance for a few weeks after that debacle. She just completely blew it within a couple weeks to once again write some pretty questionable content. Because hey, posting untagged torture porn is fun, right? And then joking about it?

So @laceratiio and myself both tried to part ways with Sam. Quietly. We even gave her our reasons for why. Sam even seemed fine with this. I don’t have Mirza’s on hand, but here’s mine, for the sake of transparency.

Is Skyrim worth playing? I’ve never played it before and I keep seeing people like you talking about it and it’s really starting to peak my interest

It entirely depends on what your style of game is.

Do you like adventure? Your decisions actually being decisions? Roleplaying as a hero? Deep lore? Skyrim is probably for you.

Do you like deep character development and dynamic interactivity? Opponents who actually surrender and aren't death fodder? You're going to have to mod that in.

I came into Skyrim from a good three years of re-doing Breath of the Wild over and over. To me, it was STUNNING. Nintendo basically never gives you choices that don't amount to "Yes/Maybe later," let alone sidequests that are more than two or three-stage fetch quests, and the world of BotW is pretty empty. So coming from being exhausted of that same story: Skyrim BLEW ME AWAY. If you can go into it blind, I HIGHLY recommend you do so. And once you get bored of it, you can mod it to be basically whatever you want.

However, it is a game from 2011. And it is a buggy game from 2011. For me, that's part of the charm; I think it's hilarious when someone ragdolls into the stratosphere or tries to drink bread. But sometimes it means you have to reload saves and troubleshoot to try to figure out what went wrong, and that's not everyone's cup of tea.

If you go into it expecting an old school game with a lot of problems and you set the bar appropriately, I think you'll have the time of your life. If you expect it to compare to Witcher 3 or Baldur's Gate 3, you're going to be very disappointed.

Also, pro tip, you can put a bucket on top of a guard's head, and they can't see you while you steal things.
