2. What is their class (+ subclass) and why did you choose it?
Rhoz is a Way of the Open Hand Monk. Whenever I play DnD, Pathfinder, whatever, I generally like to try things I haven't before, and I just have an affinity for martial classes and hitting things real good. I like the simplicity. Monk ended up being super fun to play!
95. What do you think of your Tav's development throughout the game? If you compared them to who they were at the start, what would be different?
I think Rhoz definitely did some maturing through the game. She's young and headstrong at the start, and gets some hard lessons in the end, about the world not being as simple as it seems, and happy endings not always being possible. However, she's still an optimistic person, and still believes that things are worth fighting for.
Also, what kind of character of mine would she be, if she wasn't disillusioned to systems of power in the world by the end? I don't know if she would return to her monastic temple in the end or not. I think she would want to remain in Baldur's Gate, help repair, help the tieflings get settled in, all that good stuff.
The answer is however many show up outside the window he tosses food scraps of. I'm sure Astarion comes up with beautiful names for each of them but they're just called "cat" 85% of the time.
Bed time would be a real unbalanced situation during winter.
do you guys ever think about how Wyll is introduced as an archetypal fantasy hero, but then it turns out he’s a warlock, who made a pact with a devil. Do you ever think about how Ansur is described as this fantastical dragon of myth, but then when you find him, he’s turned into an undead monstrosity. Do you think about how when Wyll does the right thing, he is punished to become more monstrous. Do you think about how as Wyll’s warlock powers grow, his spells get more horrific. Do you think about how Ansur was killed by his closest friend. Do think about how Wyll was cast out by the most important person in his life. do you guys ever think about Ansur and Wyll.
I'm at that point in act 3 where you help the guy find the missing letters from Tara, and-
IF YOU GRAB THE LETTER BEFORE TALKING TO HER,
SHE JUST-
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
She said "I didn't ask how big the roof is, I said; I cast F I R E B A L L"
Truly, the tressym of a wizard...or, more appropriate, the wizard of a tressym. She taught him how to lose his eyebrows REAL QUICK (Ty to the lovely who pointed out EXACTLY who raised who)
Thank you so much for the ask! I had to do some work on Rhoz's backstory to be able to answer these, so it took a minute! The exact details are still fuzzy, but I've actually built her as a Pathfinder character now and her build is sick as hell, and I really want to play her in a game now!
From the Companion!Tav ask:
10. General - Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game?
The head of Rhoz's monastic order would certainly make an appearance. When Rhoz was younger, she was inflicted with an unknown curse (her Pathfinder background, and the reason for her bright eye and strange tendrils coming from it) so her parents turned to the nearby monastery for guidance. They allowed Rhoz to stay with the monastery for them to train her to keep the curse at bay through their monastic traditions. I think Rhoz's story shares some similarities to Karlach's (probably why they get along so well <3), and either the head of the order would know something secret about her curse, or reveal that she was doomed from the start. I'd love to see what a DM would do with her story!
10. Story Specific - How do they react if the PC licks the dead spider in the Gauntlet of Shar?
"Did you just LICK that? Disgusting!... What's it taste like?... You feel WHAT?............. Can I try?"
10. - Romance - Will they join in with the PC and the Drow Twins, or no?
I think Rhoz tends to be... adventurous, and wouldn't be opposed. However, despite Karlach saying she's cool with an open relationship, her attitude hasn't convinced me, so I think out of respect for Karlach, she would not. However, as an NPC not romancing Karlach, then definitely yes, lol.
Thank you so much for the ask! Sorry it took so long to answer!
As they say, better late than never, so we finally drew Marrow in this stunning outfit. Perhaps it can be called modern AU? Astarion's precious bat knight
