This food scrap tea will add nutrients back into my plants & soil…to be used as a fertilizer! Watermelon rinds, banana peels, & eggshells were added into water & steeped for 2 days! I put this arch up a week ago and strung the lights today. I just remembered to peek out there to see what it looks like and it turns out, it’s magical! ✨I can’t wait until plants start growing up it. #backyardgarden #nmtrue #igrowplants (at Albuquerque, New Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqPEihXu6sE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🌶 Pimenta Puma 🌶 🙌 The Pimenta Puma pepper is a rare and exotic pepper that is native to Brazil. It is also known as the Brazilian Ghost pepper or the Puma pepper. This pepper is hot, with a Scoville rating of 100,000 to 500,000 units, which puts it in the same heat range as the popular Bhut Jolokia or Ghost pepper. The Pimenta Puma pepper has a unique flavor that is fruity and slightly smoky, with hints of chocolate and raisin. The pepper plant is compact and bushy, and can grow up to 3-4 feet tall. The peppers are small and round, about 1-2 inches in diameter, and start out green before maturing to a bright red color. The Pimenta Puma pepper is often used in Brazilian cuisine to add heat and flavor to dishes like soups, stews, and marinades. The Pimenta Puma pepper is also great for making hot sauces and salsas, as its unique flavor profile can add depth and complexity to any recipe. This pepper is rich in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants, making it a healthy addition to your diet. Overall, the Pimenta Puma pepper is a rare and flavorful pepper that is perfect for those who love heat and unique flavors in their food. While it is very hot, its fruity and smoky flavor profile makes it a great addition to a variety of dishes. ▫️Partner Pages▫️ 🟢 @scan.droid ⚪️ @pepperlegion 🟣 @stuartgracecreative 🔵 @growlegioncapital #instagram #garden #fresh #gardening #spicy  #plantsmakepeoplehappy #jardin #growyourown #growyourownfood #freshflowers #gardeninspiration #peppers #spicyfood #hotsauce #freshfruit #gardensofinstagram #backyardgarden #homegarden #gardenphotography #hotstuff #jardineria #growsomethinggreen #ediblegarden #habanero #chilis #gardenlover #hotpeppers #capsicum #chillies #pimentapuma https://www.instagram.com/p/CqBH59tpBJw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Grow your food!!!! My garden is flourishing with all the rain weve been getting here in the west valley its almost time to harvest the radishes. Ive been harvesting greens at least twice a week. The tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, and pepper varieties will be planted in the next 2 weeks in new beds im building from reclaimed pallet wood i cant stress enough how important it is to find healthy greens for your family. If you can grow it yourself do so, if you have friends that grow local support them, we always grow more than we need and most of us are more than willing to part with the fruits of our labor as long as it enriches our friends and families lives and their health. I have plans in the works to start something thats going to change my life and those i love for the better. Cross your fingers and send me any good juju you can spare. I will fill everyone in later when things are more ...solid. #growyourownfood #growyourownmedicine #homesteadingjourney #backyardgardening #ilovemygarden #azgardeningcommunity #surpriseAZgardening #feedyourfriends #gardenupdate (at Surprise, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpwB9kDptZjfTe0k22h6UzAQ-Lo-Wd-sXoQ7n40/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The most common mistake we see in instagram gardens is overcrowding of plants. Can some plants do just fine this way? Absolutely and yet squash won’t . Planting squash too closely is a recipe for disaster. Powdery mildew, blossom end rot, squash bug and vine borer paradise, soil depletion….the list goes on. Rotation: Take a note from our ancestors, history, and our own gardens plant in patches not rows. This makes rotation easier and proper rotation aids in replenishing of the soil. You know we always speak on interplanting herbs as a pest control, squash can especially benefit from the ones mentioned here. Powdery mildew is your nemesis if you’ve planted too close together especially 😵‍💫 but you can face it head on with a tbsp of baking soda, tbsp of Castile soap, and gallon of water. Mix these together and spray on your squash to kick powdery mildews butt across the season. Squash are heavy feeders- they benefit from following nitrogen fixing legumes along with the leafy greens. Got more questions? Drop them in the comments. Save this for later! . .. . . . . . . . #gardening #homegrowntomatoes #tomatoplant #tomatoes #growagarden #communitygarden #communitygardens #communitygardening #growingsquash #naturalpestdeterrent #organicgarden #organicgardener #organicgardening #squash #squashblossom #backyardgardener #gardenerslife #gardenersofinstagram #heirloomseeds #heirloomtomatoes #heirloomtomato #growingtomatoes #growingtomatoesfromseeds #seedlings #gardenpro (at In The Garden) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp7pwd_uLMZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
