So um slightly dark of an image or headcanon I suppose but do you think they gave Gael's son a proper Targaryen funeral pyre? Did they acknowledge him at all?

Her son was born just after Rhaenys own children were, and she was the younger Aunt she grew up with, I wonder if it colored her view on how to treat bastards or if it changed anything at all in her.

Oooh that’s a good question Anon. I know they sent Gael away when she got pregnant, or at least hid her from the court, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t give him a Targaryen funeral pyre. Then again I know Gael was absolutely devestated by his death (and killed herself for it) so I could also see Alysanne pushing for a funeral pyre to help her process maybe. Of the two, I’d sadly lean towards no funeral pyre as to not draw any sort of attention.

I also know that everything about Gael and her son didn’t come out until after Alysanne and Jaehaerys died, so it’s possible Rhaenys didn’t know about that for a while, which could have colored her view on bastards — or at the very least, on her family’s treatment of bastards. To find out her own aunt was hidden away, treated as dead by everyone else, certainly tells her that bastards aren’t going to be accepted anywhere in the family, given that Gael was the 13th daughter, so nowhere near the throne, and the son stillborn, and yet still kept a secret.

Would Rhaenys’ perception of the bastard themselves as person change? I doubt it — she would obviously knows how to think for herself, and look at the person no matter their circumstances. But she’s also a person who knows society norms and how that will affect both that person’s reputation *and* her own reputation, so I could see her being wary of that. Her family comes before anything, so she’ll always choose them over damage to their reputation associating with a bastard could do.

Anyways...

I was working with my nephew the day before Thanksgiving. My nephew is nonverbal (as far as words. He communicates through sounds) with cerebral palsy. I was feeling some type of way (comfort seeking) and I asked my nephew, "Do you want to watch baby girl Jack Russell with me?"

The smile on that child's face I swear! (He's 7 btw)

Of course I'm dying like, oh my god he wants to watch that for the thousandth time with me I'm so happy, sort of situation.

But it prompted me to ask my nephew, "Do you like it when I call Jack Russell baby girl? Baby girl Jack Russell."

My nephew's reaction:

So we did watch the movie and my nephew ABSOLUTELY LOVES JACK AND TED. He loves that they're my new comfort characters too haha.

The day after Thanksgiving, per usual, my family and I are celebrating Thanksgiving.

My great aunt's apparently are asking DEEP questions to my mom and cousin. I just returned from the bathroom when I'm informed of the question by my mom.

The question: "If you could invite anyone to Thanksgiving, who would you invite?"

Me personally... That's A LOADED QUESTION. Because based on what I answer I know I'll get dumped on with questions and teasing.

My cousin asks, "Do they have to be alive?"

My great aunt, "yes."

I'm freaking out internally like shit... Shit... Shit... Shit... Shit... Shit!! Hahaha

Tell me why my brain IMMEDIATELY said:
